I e-mailed the provided web e-mail address on their website about six months ago, as well as called to a schedule an appointment (it had a voice recording, so there is no doubt in mind that I didn't call the right number) and received nothing in return...no call explaining that they are too busy to take on new clients, no follow-up. And that's two different methods of communication, which indicates that they are a little challenged when it comes to providing customer service, no matter how busy. Sadly, I was actually referred to Skin APeel from one of my clients who had beautiful skin and had nothing but good things to say. UPDATE for the the amazingly talented manicurist, Alex: She has moved! Make an appt. with her ASAP at (510) 586-7609. Skin Apeel rocks for so many reasons: 1) Alex is a master manicurist! She is gentle and always uses clean tools. She never uses a drill -- she's all natural. And my nails always look fabulous after I see Alex. The gel polish is so pretty. 2) The waxing services are awesome! Katherine is a pro! She was really gentle with the wax (eyebrows). 3) Prices are reasonable and the spa is not pretentious in the least. It's a relaxing place that provides great services and I am so glad I found them (through my awesome friend Kendra of Linea Body). I usually head into SF for my facials but Katherine did an AMAZING exfoliation facial. She really knows what she's doing and using some of the best products on the market. She's generous with the product, you don't get the impression that she is using conservative amounts and she'll happily give you sample sizes for post-application. My skin was radiant for weeks and I received more compliments after her treatment than after my usual facials. The location is very convenient and the decor is inviting. Went here because my lashes were cinged (fire incident) So I got lash extensions last Friday evening. Irma was sweet and attentive. I give her 5 stars easily. But this is about the treatment. The extensions are supposed to last 3 weeks yet 5 days later they were totally going in different directions and looked really awful. Let me just start off by saying that Katherine is God sent. I feel so fortunate that I was able to find Skin A Peel. Over the last couple years, I have battled with acne and at the age of 31, this was quite embarrassing to say the least. I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on products from Chanel to LaMer and many facials in between. So I started doing more research and decided to give microdermabrasion a second shot. I am so glad that I found Skin A Peel as the place to have it done. I had my first treatment a few weeks ago with Katherine and she was amazing. She heard my concerns and then customized a treatment for me that made sense for my needs. The microderm itself was not the most relaxing (obviously, it is not a facial ;-) but the results were incredible. I had quite a few extractions that needed to be done which took about 3 days to heal. Once I passed the healing phase, my skin looked amazing. I was shocked that I saw this much of a difference in just one treatment. I decided to continue the microderm and purchased a series of 5 treatments, my next one being today. Additionally, Katherine recommended some products for me from the Image skin care line which my skin absolutely fell in love with. The samples she gave me lasted 2 weeks which was pretty generous. I will definitely be purchasing a set to take home today. I met a friend for lunch this week and stumbled upon this gem. The atmosphere is very inviting and unique. The owner has decorated the waiting lounge beautifully along with relaxing background music, sofas, tea and pastries. I have sensitive skin, however, Katherine only used products that wouldn't irritate my skin. This is the only facial I've ever gotten that didn't make my face red. She also did an awesome job on my eyebrows. Afterwards, I enjoyed a pedicure with Alex. She made sure my toes looked perfect:) If you haven't have a facial and/or your nails done, you must give them a try. Prices are very reasonable. read more

I always get my eyebrows waxed by Jenny and have been for the last 8 years! She is super sweet and always makes you feel comfortable.
