So I haven't had a facial in years. I pass by this place all the time and figured I'd give it a shot. I got a classic facial with microdermabrasion treatment. I was greeted with a smile and led to the treatment room. I only had to take off my shoes. The bed was comfortable but flat so I needed extra support under my legs and she provided it for me. I enjoyed the treatment and massage. She was really gentle. The only time I was uncomfortable was removing blackheads around the nose. But that's normal. I've had a procedure called a diamond microdermabrasion on my face before in this place and the outcome is great. But, the 2nd time it messed up my face! And now i had a scarred face resulted on their negligence. The procedure must be the same even if you got it a discounted prize, the quality of work is being tainted. I am not contesting of what the worker did, the management is at fault too. Hopefully, this incident will be corrected and the employee will be train again by the management so they can prevent an incident like this again. read more

I'm shocked that I used to live 10 minutes from here and never noticed this business. The fact that they were able to accommodate me on what I'm assuming must've been a busy weekend was awesome! I immediately saw a difference and my skin was sooo much nicer the next day. I booked an appointment a week in advance and was seen on time. They really took great of me. I was referred to Joey by a friend. I've came to her a couple of time already, although this is my first time at her store in Castro valley. I've been slacking on these facials so my skin is pretty bad right now. When you first walk inside you see the wall with the skin care displayed on shelves. Then next to the wall is a nice cute couch. Although the first thing you see isn't the receptionist desk. But when I walked in I was greeted by the nice receptionist lady. She checked me in and proceeded to take me into the room. Told me to change and had me lay down on the bed. Joey then proceeded in the room. She started off with steaming my skin. The thing i love most about Joey is that she's super patient and makes sure she get every single blackhead and acne. Joey continues to add new technology in her business and continuously trains for what's new out there. Pricing is good compared to other places and they take their time to make sure you get the service you deserve. I break out when products used are not good and I don't get that here. I cheated on my routine skincare person because I didn't feel like taking the drive. I antes to try Be beauty because of the yelp reviews. I checked Groupon and saw that they were offering the microdermabrasion. I texted their number in which I asked if I can pay them the group price instead of buying it thru Groupon and the lady said yes. I scheduled my appointment, but when I got there I was upsold.... I only wanted the microdermabrasion treatment but was told that nothing else was offered with that service after going back and forth I was frustrated and just opted for "their current special" of $138 which included everything." The entire appointment lasted about 90minutes- 15min steam, 20minute mask setting with LED took up majority of the time. The package included a neck shoulder and hand facial which I did not receive- usually a highlight to my Me time. A week now my face is healing. I really wanted to like this place... but the upsold and not being up front with the price really broke the deal for me. Afterwards the sisters tried to sell me their 10 pack which is over $1,000.
