Hard to find words to describe the most amazing spa/facial experience I've ever had! I haven't had a lot of facials or spa experiences in general, but I am an avid ASMR facial watcher (lol!) and my experience with Nicole was truly a dream! I've never felt more relaxed in my life! My vision board for 2026 included more self care, and the first step to taking that was going to a professional to get treated and hear their insight into what I should be doing for my skin. I actually booked this appointment originally for November 2025, but had to reschedule twice because I got really sick both times. I was finally able nail down today's appointment, and the process was super smooth! A deposit is taken upon making the appointment, and the rest is paid after the service. I booked for the Personalized Facial + Manual Lymphatic Drainage (1.5 hours). There is a consultation form that is sent a few days before your appointment so that Nicole can better understand your skin type and routine. I am a combo skin girly with literally only 2 steps to her routine (cleanser and moisturizer, and an occasional toner), but I want to improve my tone and texture. During the facial, Nicole talked me through what she was doing and what products she was using that were tailored to my skin to target my concerns. In the end, she recommended a few products that fit my needs for both my skin and the simple routine that my lifestyle requires. She is incredibly knowledgeable. The massages were also amazing omg, I definitely fell asleep a few times during the facial! It was so relaxing, especially the Manual Lymphatic Drainage at the end of the facial. I wanted to share my experience getting a lymphatic facial massage for my upcoming birthday and I found this amazing place on yelp called: Natural Beauty at Nic's in Castro Valley. And it was sensational Nicole was super attentive, sweet and professional. So easy to talk to super friendly and gentle. The space was very inviting and very welcoming. She thoroughly explain her procedures her steps on how she's going to you know cleanse your face first and then pick away any extractions and then how she goes about with the lymphatic massage part. Love the initial calming lavender spray that she sprays first before starting to you hope you relax and gave a bunch of great tips for aftercare and showed me tips how I can also do gua sha at home. I love the fact that Nic's is the only place in the Bay Area that does Manual Lymphatic facial massages!! I highly recommend her. If you want something to help you detox, the toxins and the fluids from your body. I reached out to Nic as my skin has been looking quite dull and I've noticed a few premature wrinkles here and there. I have sensitive skin (eczema) and usually stay away from facials as I tend to have allergic reactions. Before setting up an appointment, I expressed my concerns with Nic and she let me know that the products she uses have no fillers, fragrances, etc and will work with my skin type. I had my first facial with Nicole and had one of the best experiences thus far. I have had a couple facials done in the past but when I learned from a friend that Nicole was taking clients I had to book. Booking was easy on the website. Her schedule right now is towards the later end of the week including weekends which works with my schedule better. Upon signing up for an appointment you will need to give a deposit for your appointment and Nicole will text you or email you with an intake form. Questions on this form include what skin type you have, any skin products you may use and goals you may have when getting a facial. Her current office was a little tricky to get to due the location but Nicole was super helpful in making sure I found the place eventually (turned too early). Her space is beautiful and very relaxing. There are refreshments, some greenery and overall the space is aesthetically pleasing. She also asks for your preference of music on the form and so she really tailors the experience to your preference. During my facial Nicole was very insightful of the products she use and communicated with me what was in it, why she used it and always asked me questions of comfortability. Also her voice is hella soothing lol. She also gave me a massage which was so nice and made the experience even more relaxing. This was my first time getting a facial in awhile so some of the tools she used was newer and in my opinion better. A lot less invasive for my skin. Nicole was super informative, very validating and wonderful to talk to in conversations. She really customized my experience and tailored products she used for my specific skin type. I also liked that even though she had certain products she wanted to use that she changed it up session of to better fit my current state. Without a doubt, one of the best esthetician I've had do a facial on me ever. Nicole really puts in time and care to understand you and your skin. I've gotten a 2 facials done by her and each time was above and beyond my expectations. When you come into the salon suite, the setting is very cozy, clean, light, welcoming, and gets you right into the mood to relax. Throughout the service, she will explain each step of the process as she goes and the benefits of each product she uses on you. I usually am someone who likes to just lay silently during facials but I found myself constantly in flow of conversation with Nicole which made me the service feel more personal and not just like a quick pop in, get it done, and pop out. But if you are the type to want to just silently lay there or even sleep, Nicole invites you to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. The worst part of facials for me were always extractions. And as someone whose skin gets congested easily, there always a bunch of gunk that I'd need extracted. Extractions were always so painful at my previous spa. They'd use those little silver tools that they'd have to pressure down on your skin to squeeze out those suckers. But not with Nicole's extraction method!!! With her magic tool, literally ZERO pain and takes out all the same amount of gunk that silver torture tool would take out. So you can literally feel at ease all the throughout the facial. No more breaking out of my relaxed state, squirming and having to endure the pain of extractions. It's been a couple days since my last facial and my skin still feels just as smooth as it did just after my facial.
