We booked deep tissue massages. My masseuse used way too much lotion, didn't apply any pressure and just aggressively rubbed oil onto my body. At one point, she intended to apply pressure to the arch of my feet (which are sensitive due to my plantar fasciitis) but her nails were not short so it felt more like being scratched. No one introduced themselves to us, they walked in while we were undressing without knocking or warning. During our massages, a bell kept going off. My masseuse walked out of the room 3 times, talking to someone about other clients. If I had been there alone, I would have walked out. This was the worst massage I've ever had. We will stick to VRC in Skokie. At least we receive quality massages.

I was surprised at how strong Mei is for her size! Mei is a lady with some excellent training. Elbows knees and hands! I got the August 90 minutes special. She asked me hard or medium? I went with hard because that seems to work best for me. Don't get the hard massage if you are squeamish. I think most people can handle the hard massage but her medium massage is equal to a hard massage at other places. Her elbows took care of some horrible knots I had in my back. Most places ignore the knots they just go over them lightly. She finds them! And she makes them soft and then they go away. Believe me I've had a lot of massages this lady blows everybody else away! I took advantage of the gift certificate special and bought four of them as gifts. I'm going to keep one for myself though.

Upon arrival there is a tall staircase in order to enter the business. Though this wasn't a problem for us, keep in mind if you have any disabilities. Upon actually entering the waiting area, they had my husband pay right away, which I thought was a huge red flag. In all the massages we've had, we've never paid first. There was also a 3% fee for using a card despite our total being over $200+. We get into the room, located right by the entrance and it is freezing. My husband's bed was warmed, however mine was not. I have never seen or heard of a heated massage table, but with a drafty window a portable heater would have solved this issue. When the two massage therapists entered they did not greet themselves and started saying something in another language. Mine asked me light or strong. I told her medium as that is what I have always requested from other locations. After that she noticed the bed wasn't warmed, attempted to fix it, but it was broken: WE WERE NOT ASKED OR INFORMED we were getting a DEEP tissue massage. Considering what a deep tissue massage entitles, they also did not ask other important questions like areas of concern or injuries. The massage started with some oil and hot stones and quickly progressed to pain. All I kept thinking was what type of massage did my husband book. I grimaced, flinched, and yelped in pain. My person's only response was "oh you're sensitive" and she continued at the same strength/depth. 90% was jamming her elbow into every possible pressure point and directly into my bones. This was not only the most painful massage I have ever had, but the second most painful and traumatic experience in my life; internal bleeding being my number one. I have a high pain tolerance and not sensitive to pain. Even more than that, she did not respect that I left my panties on and pulled them down and lifted them up. I'm immediately cried when she finally finished and on the entire way home. To say the least my masseuse did not receive a tip. I'm on muscle relaxers and have multiple bruises. I will never be back and regret not sitting up and ending it. Everything from the base of my skull to my legs hurt; to put it in perspective I weigh 135 pounds and 5'5". IF you book a couples massage with them, do not assume you are getting a Swedish massage like most places, despite there being no option to select.
