NEVER COMING BACK. I came here on Valentine's Day with my girlfriend and we had a bad experience. First thing, we came for 45 min appointment and one of the ladies kept pressing me and my partner to do 1 hr. She wanted to charge us more. After multiple "nos" she kept insisting. Finally we told her we had a reservation to go to and she let it go. She mad dogged me so hard before it was finally over. Second, the beds are unpleasant. I had a headache afterwards from the massage bed pressing against my head. It left a mark on my forehead. Third, the ladies gave my and my partner a half *** massage. It was like they were barely even trying. For something they do everyday they are not any good at it. Fourth, they were speaking in their native language the entire time during the massage. We could not relax at all. We also felt that it was targeted at us.Fifth, to tip it all off I was going to give a $15 tip when they spoke in their native language and then the lady nagged for more. As a person that appreciates good massages i thought it time to evaluate the few massage places that are still left in Camarillo. I have been to each of these several times so I feel I have a pretty good handle on what they are all about. There are four near each other within walking distance actually. They are Amazing Therapy, Diamond Massage, Thai, and Lucy's massage. I will post this with all massage places but with different star ratings. all of these are legitimate shops offering full body massage with no hanky panky, just massage. First up is Amazing Therapy. 2.5 - 3 stars Pros - looks nice from the inside with clean rooms and nice decorating. prices posted so you can pick and choose. able to book online but don't count on your appointment being held for you. Cons - Staff changes almost weekly so you never know who you are getting. Next door to dog grooming so it is anything but quiet and soothing. The yapping dogs are really annoying. Limited English makes for massage that can be something you were not asking for. There are times I have i come away feeling more pain than I went in with. More than once owner (Kailey or Kelly) leaves to take calls or greet new customers, leaving you without knowing if you are done or what. In my opinion I think it is rude to leave a client half finished to attend to someone else who just walks in the door. Curtains not doors so you are exposed each time they walk in and out of the room. A little pricier than the rest. Somebody has to pay for the decor I guess. Next up is Diamond Massage 4 - 4.5 stars Pros - I have never had a bad massage here and the girls are all equally good. including the owner. Easy to book by phone or text and you can request your favorite. Reasonably priced. Doors on room make it more private. They have an open area for foot massage only if you want. Cons - Very popular so it can be booked for walk ins. I suggest call ahead. Sometimes parking can be an issue. Next is Thai Massage (Siam) 4.5 - 5 stars Pros - This place is as professional as it gets and Kim is an artist with her hands. Very pricey but worth the money. Treat yourself every once in a while. Cons - Not always open. Expensive but worth it. And Finally Lucy's Massage 4 stars Pros - Easy to get in as it is not crowded. Older ladies but they absolutely know what they are doing. One of the best massages I have gotten was from here. Cheaper than most places. Attitude is all about you. Cons - Older ladies if that bothers you. it isn't an issue for me. Limited English. Well that sums it up. I have tried them all and i still rotate depending on how i feel and what i need and who is busy and who is not. but that is my honest opinion and like all my reviews i call them as i see them or in this case experience them. I requested a Swedish massage but they started with a deep tissue, i had to ask multiple times for a softer massage. I booked a 60 minute massage but she kept leaving me to help people coming in or leaving, I was half naked and cold. The massage was horrible, I went for a relaxation message, there was nothing for me to be able to relax. I was over it when she left me the second time. She realized i was annoyed and thanked me for waiting like i had a choice and said she will add 2 minutes, the 4 times she left was more than 2 min. I will never go there again. read more

It was my lucky day last week! I was on a long drive south and decided to stop for a massage at Amazing Therapy. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant, and I instantly felt I was in a place that cared about its customers and strived to provide excellence. I decided on the 90-minute Swedish massage since I was looking for relaxation after so long behind the wheel. The therapist must have had ESP; she delivered the most relaxing massage I have ever experienced - long deep strokes, not too much pressure, just the right amount for a sensual relaxing yet therapeutic massage. I only wish I live closer to Amazing Therapy so that I could be a regular customer. read more

I have been going to this place for a while. I think that both Cindy and Kelly do excellent massages with firm pressure. Last August I tore my rotator cuff and have tried various healing techniques that would avoid Surgery and having my left arm not useable for some time. I finally broke down and spent the $1000 for PRP therapy (insurance doesn't cover it) and remarkably it got worse for 3 to 4 weeks but then gradually got better to the point where I would say it was about 80% better. Enter Kevin. Kevin is more than a masseuse he understands physiology and the interaction of muscles and referred pain. I've been going to him for several sessions and at first it was difficult to endure the pressure he was applying (almost like Rolfing Massage). However, after every session the left arm and rotator cuff got better and better to the point there is no pain any more. Of course this is anecdotal and you should seek the opinion of your health care professional, but for me I swear by Kevin and he has helped me recover from my injury and my arm feels way better and range of motion has improved also - Highly recommend Keven. read more
