I have a love hate relationship with this store. I come in once a week but can never get a full trip of groceries. Love: * Lower pricing than most other grocery stores * Prime Discounts * Regular baskets + baskets that calculate your total as you add to your basket * Amazon Returns Hate: * The store is never fully stocked. You might find a staple pantry product on the shelves one week and then won't see it again for months. * The self-checkout is hit or miss. There are probably 6-8 machines and half of them are usually down. Plus there's only one actual cashier. * Staff is only there to fulfill online orders. They will not look your way, say hello or be around to help when you need it. They used to have a greeter at the front door handing out the weekly flyer but I never see that anymore. read more

Sometimes a first impression is skewed by how much interest you have in the new business. I checked out the new Amazon Fresh and discovered what is basically a new supermarket. The problem is that there is a Shoprite across Rt. 46 that offers most of what Amazon at seemingly better pricing. I say three stars for Amazon Fresh, but some may see four stars for: A Krispy Kreme counter Smart carts A hot and cold buffet plus seating near the store front Ability to use Amazon balance for payments Offers for Prime members so let's say 3 stars for your average shopper and 4 for dedicated Amazon users. read more

I always enjoy shopping here for some basic random items. I don't go in with a plan, but end up buying whatever seems like a good deal at the time. It is what I do after making Amazon returns. They usually give out coupons with the return so you can't go wrong with that. It is clean and not typically crowded. The staff is also very nice and helpful. read more

Newest and largest Amazon Fresh store opened yesterday here. Unlike former Just Walkout system, this store equipped with Dash carts therefore checkout is so easy and actually just go out when finished shopping. There's Krispy Kreme donuts and coffee store at entrance which is new and store is huge, just as any other major supermarket. I deducted one star because prices seems higher than before and I expected lower from Amazon store. Anyway it's a great place for shopping!!! read more

Funny never thought I would go here. Have to try it at least once. Been going ever since. Very clean fast service. Food is always fresh including at the hot bar. Specials all around. Even have the carts to scan your stuff and pretty much walk out. (Yes with paying) :) read more

Every time I enter an Amazon Fresh store, I feel like I'm inside a sleight of hand gimmick willing to assume only the best and freshest produce makes it here because the company can ship a loveseat to my home in four hours at the same time that they're launching satellites into space. Besides the novelty and imprimatur of coolness, the prices are astronomical and the produce is not any better than Wegmans or dare I say... ShopRite. Look, any company that can give NASA a run for their money is okay in my book but save the space age pricing for your first store on the Moon. Three ho hum stars. read more

I searched salads on yelp and came across this hidden gem. It recently opened the beginning of November and is filled with fresh tasty items and loaded with great deals. It has the look of a Whole Foods, but with lower prices. I haven't seen a slice of pizza for under $2, since the early 2000's/late 90's in Bklyn NY. The service was great, employees were extremely helpful and the ambiance/decor was a beautiful upbeat vibe. If they added some holiday music, you'd think you're in Uncle Giuseppe's, but with a modern look and again "Lower Prices"!!! I don't know if the prices are a grand opening promotion, but get there quickly to experience it, before it changes. so worth it!!! read more

Listen, I love having options and was so looking forward to this place but...do yourselves a favor and only shop here if you know your prices. I'd say 3/4 of the things (if not more) are totally overpriced. The pluses? The staff is friendly, the store is clean, Krispy Kreme, prepared food and good parking. read more

The Woodland Park store is amazing. I don't have to bad mouth other stores. Prices are competitive. That's what life is about. This store is clean, organized and workers are friendly. The smart carts are so 21 st century. Produce is always fresh! Just all around great experience . read more

This is a very nice supermarket, I'm actually surprised, if I remember correctly this used to be a Pathmark and then a Fairway, everything is super organized, I also love the fact that they have "Krispy Kreme" inside the supermarket, so that's a plus, I also love the music selection as well on the radio's overhead, so I definitely recommend this location... read more

Would give 5 stars if i was not constantly trying to navigate the aisles around the store employees with their carts fulfilling online orders etc. Maybe by this time they should learn to stay on one side of the aisles instead of the whole aisle. Otherwise I shop there around 1 every 8-10 days for great prices on certain items i consume. read more

Four years ago, Amazon announced they would be opening a new Amazon Fresh store in Woodland Park on Rt. 46, in the location previously occupied by Fairway. The construction quickly started, an Amazon Fresh sign went up, then Amazon seemed to change their mind, and the sign came down. Nothing happened for almost four years. Fast forward to fall 2024 and the Amazon Fresh sign is curiously back up and an opening date is set for November. Recently, I visited the store. I honestly didn't know what to expect. I knew it was supposed to be Amazon's take on a high-tech supermarket, but I hoped maybe it would also be a brick-and-mortar version of Amazon.com with sections dedicated to the various things sold on the website. Well, it is a high-tech supermarket, but nothing more. On the surface the store is very impressive. At over 59,000 square feet it's huge by supermarket standards. It's gleaming, clean and bright. The aisles are wide and stretch into the horizon. When you enter the first thing you notice is an actual Krispy Kreme store, with Krispy Kreme uniformed staff manning the counter (I'll get back to that). The other thing you notice is rows of high-tech shopping carts that are unlike anything I've ever seen. Fortunately, they have employees there to explain how they work. The first thing you notice is a large touch screen mounted by the push bar. You can sign into your Amazon account or link it to the Amazon app on your phone. This allows you to immediately access Amazon Prime discounts and bypass the cashier if you choose, by paying via the app. Also, the cart has multiple UPC scanners, which detect the prices of the items in your cart. Not enough tech? The cart also has a built-in scale that measures the weight of items that are sold by the pound (like vegetables). Knowing how beat-up the shopping carts are at other supermarkets; I can only wonder how durable all this technology will be over time. I guess we'll see. In addition to the high-tech carts, there are also Alexa kiosks at various locations throughout the store to help you get a quick answer to any existential questions you might have while shopping. Once you get beyond the eye candy of the enormous store and the high-tech gizmos you sadly quickly discover this is not a place you really would want to shop. Despite the endless aisles, there's nothing here that you can't find across the street at Shoprite for less money. Everything is noticeably pricier than other local markets. Also, the selection seems far less varied than you'd hope to find in a 59,000-square-foot store. The produce, meat and fish are all rather unimpressive and don't give the impression of the freshness or quality that justifies the premium prices. Now, about that Krispy Kreme store at the entrance... Sadly, it's not really a Krispy Kreme store. At least not in the sense that they actually make Krispy Kreme donuts there, which is clearly the image that the "store" is projecting. I didn't smell the signature odor of freshly cooked donuts, so I asked the employee at the counter if they were fresh. The answer was "they were made today". Apparently, unlike the freestanding Krispy Kreme locations, they don't actually make any donuts here at all. They just get them shipped in once a day in the early hours of the morning, and that's it for the whole day. If I want a stale Krispy Kreme donut I can get it at any other supermarket, and at a cheaper price. All in all, this market was a huge disappointment, and I don't plan on returning. With Amazon's resources they really could have done something amazing here. It's a shame. Frankly, I miss Fairway. read more

I so wanted to like the store. I've only been there twice at night so maybe it's better during the day. I was hoping it would be exciting and welcoming but I find it to be cold. It would have been great to have a seating area like Whole Foods has. Apparently the Krispy Kreme donuts are not baked there so you don't smell them when you walk in. I was in the store last night after 7pm and it was empty. The prices on day 1 were astronomical. I have noticed some of the prices have come down probably because they are struggling. I really really wanted to love it as we have been waiting so long but this makes me long for Fairway. I hope they take customer feedback into consideration. read more

I went there for the first time today and I wasn't impressed. Compared the prices at the nearby Shop Rite, Amazon Fresh had the same OR HIGHER prices. They only had lower prices on a few things that I normally buy and those might have been sale prices. I will say that the store was clean, and the aisles plenty wide. I didn't see any blocked aisles like I usually do at supermarkets. But, price-wise, it just isn't worth the trip for me. read more

Stopped by for the grand opening in the afternoon. Free samples of food were given out. Some things were WAY overpriced compared to Shoprite. The "Amazon" brand was much more reasonable. You do receive a slight discount if you are a prime member (which I am not.) The space between the aisles and the registers is quite small; that might be an issue in the future. What a joke. We tried to call this store to see if they had a particular cheese. You have to call an 800 number. Guess what, the person on the phone stated there is no Amazon Fresh in Woodland park!' I guess it disappeared. Possibly because no one goes there because they can't get information on the phone and the multitude of other complaints about them. In addition, we were told you have to go to the store to see what they have. So, no customer service, but great bankruptcy service. You could build condos in their parking lot and they wouldn't notice. read more

Fresh vegetables, great prices shopping the aisles is easy. You can pick and choose what you need and maybe a few new items you see to try.

Amazon Fresh is the best food store ever. They have everything and their products are outstanding, and the prices are very low especially for the quality of their items. I am a Prime member so I can shop in store or online. I can shop online and get free pick up. I can even get free delivery if I spend at least $100 and that is not a lot of money. You can stock up on items and spend the $100 and not shop for another couple of weeks. I pick up because I live only a few minutes from the store. The store is spotless, large and has a welcome feel. There are always employees working throughout the store who are very polite and very helpful. read more

I thought i was crazy in thinking that this store didn't have anything special or worth going back for, and it should be awesome since it had the name Amazon and should have amazing stuff. What a disappointment. They should stick to the Whole Foods chain and model. read more
