My sister and her family took a week trip to Disney recently, so I came and joined them. My sister and I stole away to have lunch, and I wanted to show her Indian food. She had never had it before, can you believe that? So I did a quick search, found Amber, and off we went. The ambiance was pretty ok. It's in the middle of a strip mall. But inside is classic mom 'n' pop Indian place. Desi music, that pungent smell in the air of magnificent spices, everything you need. Service was also great. The guy was very friendly, made good conversation, and the food came out very timely. No issues there. As for the food, I ordered what I thought would be best for an Indian newbie. Some veggie samosas, the butter chicken, a shrimp biryani, and a garlic butter naan. Everything was pretty standard. Nice crisp samosas with a piping hot filling, creamy butter chicken, the quality of the chicken itself was a little questionable, but the curry more than makes up for that, very fragrant and flavorful perfect biryani, I always recommend a biryani, and a delicious warm, crispy naan to eat everything with. Visiting Orlando and my brother in law found this place. First I want to say I am thankful that they were able to take our order of 15 people last min. With that being said not sure if they were short staffed but it took almost over two hours to actually get our hands on the food. Food was good! And the chicken was disgusting - all dark meat, low quality chicken; I did not eat the majority of it. Waste. It was supposed to have potatoes and chicken and it had only one small piece of potato and lots of that nasty chicken that the "sauce" does not cover how disgusting that chicken is. You know how I luv indian I always say to my wife, kids and friends jokingly. But I really do. I been here a few times and I always get the butter chicken with extra Naan bread. I've gotten it mild and medium spice depending on my mood. I have to say that I enjoy the freshness of the bread and chicken and its never-ending butter sauce. The food is always fresh and the service is always pleasant. I been to many indian restaurants when I lived in New York and always found them to be great and now while I reside in Florida the indian selection of restaurants is fickle. Amber to me is a needle in a hay stack. Great taste if needing some spice in your life. Visited this restaurants last Saturday night with my parents. No customers when we arrived. I ordered chicken saag which was pretty good garlic naan was good also. Dad had chicken soup as he doesn't like spicy food, was just ok and poppadoms which udually is complimentary at Indian restaurants. They also charge $2.50 for mango pickle which I have never had pay for before. My mom ordered the shrimp curry, when we arrived back to the hotel she was extremely sick which I can only put down to food poisoning. I did message the owners but got no reply. We are visiting Disney world from Scottsdale, Arizona and, despite having Indian food all over the country, this was maybe the best Indian food we have ever had. After getting ripped off for shitty food last night at Disney springs, we decided to venture off Disney property for dinner, and aren't we glad we did. We had amazing lentil soup, fish tikka masala, goat curry, chicken tikka masala, and the most special and delicious item was clearly saag paneer. The owner or manager explained to us that the chef is vegetarian and so the vegetarian dishes are his specialty.
