We were seated relatively quickly for a party of two on a Sunday night! It was about a 15 minute wait. Our server seemed in a bit of a rush but we didn't mind! We started with oysters that unfortunately, were not fresh or worth the price. I'm shocked that they didn't make me sick, but the quality was definitely poor to the point where even the server didn't question why I only had one and had him take it away. Maybe he knew! This is hard. The ambiance is totally fun and decorative and makes it a fun environment for a family dinner or a fun get together! The host was great and welcomed us and sat us down when we had told us. When seated, it took forever to be greeted, more than industry standards of no more than 10 mins. There was such a long delay to just get water AFTER waiting to be greeted. Total, waited 20 min for someone to say hi and for us to get water. Furthermore, I took another 40 minutes for us to get our food and our appetizers of soup ended up coming with our main meal. Which defeated the whole purpose of an appetizer 40 minutes later. So all in all the whole service aspect of things was super slow and excruciatingly long. Even though the restaurant was busy, but I would say perhaps 75% filled. Even when trying to flag another waiter for help they were more concerned over their own table than to help us. SMH. But our server was apologetic and trying but simple things as water and refills made the service a bit subpar 2.5/5 As for the food! When it finally arrived to our table, it was actually pretty great, on their menu. It says that their spice levels are higher than normal and I would agree. It has a good flavor profile to the boil, I'd say something like a Chinese hot pot Szechuan flavor. It was good, got some snow crab and Dungeness crab! Overall, flavor and crab was 3.8/5 The corn that was inside the boil was way too soggy and tasted horrible. I would definitely not get corn inside of it again, the potato, however, wasn't too bad inside of it! Clam chowder and lobster bisque was decent! I'd say the chowder was definitely better than the bisque. I just wish that it would've been served in a reusable bowl Chowder 3.5/5 Bisque 2.8/5 The cheese sticks were cold because the food took so long.... So not sure not it'll be good or not. The fries were fries, decent. Sweet potato fries were okay, could've been better, a bit soggy (prob cause of the delay) but lacked flavor.
