Jaxson 5 years old the day before going to Amber Leaf

!!!! AMBER LEAF TOOK POSSESSION OF MY DOG WHICH WAS VIBRANT AND RUNNING AROUND (PER DR. JASON) THE MORNING I DROPPED HIM OFF AND BY 4PM HE WAS DEAD - 5 years old When they completed an ultrasound in the morning they called me and told me they saw a mass In him and it looked like he had a tumor and/or cancer. Sad a news huh? I asked the doctor what the next step would be to do to confirm exactly what's going on before I went to a specialist He advised taking some fluid from the lymph nodes. A common procedure that he does all the time I was told. I went in at 4 PM to pick him up I paid for my bill and they went into their back room to get myDog - came back & told me he was DEAD AFTER I PAID THE BILL!!! I waited a week to get a 6 sentence email responsee from Sue the office manager (sue please post a email with a earlier response date if you have one!) Telling me that they were not going to refund any of the procedures that were done that day that it was most likely they Likely the cancer that killed my dog! The same dog that was running around the morning of before going into Amber Leaf! IF ANYBODY BELIEVES THAY 1 HOUR AFTER EXTRACTION OF FLUID FROM MY DOGS NECK DURING (A ROUTINE PROCEDURE) AND BE DEAD IN HIS CAGE 1 HOUR LATER ONLY FOR AMBER LEAFS OFFICIAL POSITION IS THAT THIS IS NOT A COUNCIDENCE AND THAT HE MOST LIKELY DIED FROM THE CANCER THAT THEY DISCOVERED THAT SAME DAY ! THEN CONTINUE TO TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR BELOVED PETS - I WOULD PICK THEM UP NOW AND NEVER RETURN!! If anyone would like more details on this horrific situation I would be happy to discuss with them the horrific experience me & my 3 children on the age of 10 had to recently endure from AMBER LEAF ANIMAL HOSPITAL IN WINFIELD IL Ianrodgers15@gmail.com

My Coco, pea pie, Little Bit.

I brought my puppy here because it was recommended by a vet that I previously worked with. Yesterday they were overbooked and my vet asked if they can take our puppy in she was dehydrated. Dr Laura took her in, they didn't do any of the diagnostics they promised and left my little coco to die. I took my puppy in around 8:15 am. I kept on following up they didn't have any kits to confirm my puppy had Provo right there and then they didn't take any blood work or X-rays by 4:00 PM I called they they told me my puppy passed away: I feel they didn't focus on helping her. I would of taken her somewhere else if they didn't have the time or necessary equipment to help my puppy. I do not recommend this place especially Dr Laura she gave us that cold shoulder feeling and has no care and compassion.

My sweet 6 year old, eight pound, happy and loving shih tzu died there unnecessarily. I dropped him off for his first dental cleaning (at their behest) by Dr. Leopold. A few hours later a tech left me a phone message telling me that his labs were off and they needed to know if I wanted them to go forward with the cleaning or reschedule. I heard that message after a work meeting, about 45 minutes after they left it, and so I called them back right away to tell them that I did NOT want them to go through with the cleaning, I wanted to find out why his labs were off first. Unfortunately, the tech told me that Dr. Leopold had decided that she could not wait for my call and he had just been sedated and was heading in. About an hour and a half later Dr. Leopold called me to tell me that he had died during the procedure. NO APOLOGY, no "I am so sorry but he died." Just matter-of-fact. My last memory of him alive was him being forcefully pulled by the collar by the front desk person. The guilt that I have for not asking her to pick him up instead (he was only about 8 pounds), and for taking him there in the first place. Me and my kids went back hours later to hold him one last time and say goodbye. We saw that they had clearly left his endotracheal tube in for too long after he died because his mouth was stiff into the position of it, AND they had not bothered to close his eyes upon calling his death. I tried to give this story privately to the practice owner Dr. Rohrback so he could address it privately and without harm to the practice, but when I asked for his direct email address through their website, I did not hear back. The only person that I can give 5 stars to through that experience was front desk gal, Kelsey. She clearly understood our anguish and responded to us accordingly. That meant a lot. Katie was also very nice when calling to have records for our other dog sent elsewhere.

Dr. Leopold helped us with our Toby who developed an acute case of pancreatitis. It was very sudden and completely took us by surprise. Dr. Leopold walked us through our options that helped us make the decision to take him home overnight as he had not improved over the course of the day. He spent most of the day under their car on an IV. He passed in our arms and had not Dr. Leopold warned us of this possibility, we would have never had the chance to spend his final moments with us. We've never had a bad experience at Amber Leaf and we find them to be very caring, professional, and understanding people. We will miss you Toby.

The Veterinarian's are all wonderful, the staff however has many issues. I called to make an appt today for my dog who was very ill and dying. after making an appt I received a call from Dr Healy saying they were not going to see my dying pet because I had expressed I was unhappy with their service At our last visit. In November we had to put another dog down. My husband went alone and they suggested doing all sorts of tests that amounted to over $600. while he did authorize them, the dog had been diagnosed with a tumor and only had a few months to live. They did all the testing and knew of her condtion. I truly believe they took advantage of him during a very stressful time. If the clinic felt we were no longer a good fit for their practice wouldn't it have been done prior to this event. No compassion for the dog. I had called to speak with Dr Healy and was told she would be in around 1:30 and she would call me back. I have yet to hear from her. Totally unprofessional and no compassion for our situation.

Took our sweet Marley in for some odd coughing and wheezing the other day and she was diagnosed with Bronchitis/Kennel Cough. We have no idea how she got it as she was up to date on shots and is never with other dogs other than her sister. They gave her fluids, did an x-ray to make sure it was not worse than suspected and medications for home. The following day, they texted to check in on her and it was so much appreciated. We finally found our home!!! Thank you so much for being such an amazing office!!

If I was the one on the other end, I could have been having an emergency with my pet. But checking out was more important than that persons reasons for the call. Again! They need more training on how to be more professional, somethings shouldn't be said in front of a client.

He felt her and said she was filled with cancer. Of course we had to put her down. I took my dog in for a physical. They said he had high blood pressure and sold me medicine for it. I took him to 2 other vets and they found no high blood pressure. I'm glad I hadn't started the medicine. Recently my cat broke his hip. I drove here because because it was close and my cat was in pain. I got there at 7:50. There were people walking around in there and opened the door long enough to tell me they don't open until 8:00. I just stood there waiting and they let me in at 7:55. They told me the vets don't come in until 9:00. I could come back at 9:00 and see if there were any openings. If there were no openings I'd have to go elsewhere. I walked out knowing that I could make it to my usual vet (Wheaton Animal Hospital). 25 minutes later I walked in with my cat and he was immediately in with a vet. He did the necessary surgery and I was able to pick him up the next day.

This is an extremely difficult review to write…read more My fur baby (17, beagle) HATES going to the vet. He's always hesitant to be touched and normally screams while there. Since he's a senior and then some dog, most vets get impatient due to how anxious/stressed and painful he can be. This was not the case at Warrenville Grove Animal Hospital. The service from the front desk staff, vet techs, Tracy, and vets was 5 stars (from my husband, myself, and our fur baby). We were treated with empathy, patience, and the highest level of care. Henry (fur baby) was as comfortable as he could be throughout and he did not scream once. Kim (vet tech) and Dr. Sarah Morlock were thorough, patient, and kind. They answered any and all questions and provided estimates $$ throughout the process. Unfortunately my baby did not improve and that is not for lack of compassion or care from the staff. My sweetheart went to rest here and we were shown empathy and care. We were able to make Henry feel as comfortable as possible - we brought his bed, blanket, and listened to music the entire time. We were given some of his fur and a paw print as a keepsake. I decided to have Hengers cremated and received him within a week. I truly am grateful for the entire staff at Warrenville Grove. I HATE the previous vet (VCA Schaumburg) my baby went to and am extremely grateful Warrenville Grove Animal hospital made my entire family feel loved and cared for, especially my Henry.
