I found the vets very caring a concerned for my pets. I felt that they cared about my cat with her illness.

I do not recommend for senior animals. They will unnecessarily prolong their suffering to get additional $, even when the owner is ready to say goodbye and doesn't want to let their loved one suffer and all they do is sleep and are barely eating. They are content to let them waste away. Horrible experience. Sought a second opinion when they refused to help us as they said they would. The next vet was advised they were just trying to get money and it was acceptable to let our loved one go and not suffer needlessly any further. read more

Too bad I can't give Bones as an option. Staff is great and friendly... Doc also. Gave my one dog the Wellness Exam and a nail trim. When checking out, I was asked if I was over 65...for a discount! Office is clean. To keep a long story short, this is the best office I've been too in 10 1/2 years equal only to the East Dubuque, IL vet I went to 7 years ago. Where do I even begin! We have been going to Addison Animal Hospital for 10+ years. They have always been amazing. When the tornado hit Lombard on August 10, 2020 we lost power immediately as we had telephone poles uprooted on our property. I called first thing the next morning to see if we could board our dogs (who absolutely love it there). When I spoke with Margaret, I advised what happened to my property and I did not know how long the dogs would have to be there. Margaret did NOT hesitate and said absolutely and I could bring them in at any point. I was there in about an hour. Marta greeted the girls and they were so happy to see her. Marta re-emphasized the girls would be taken care of and just keep them posted on the progress. Every couple days I would call to see how my girls were doing (and making sure they were behaving) and state I had no update when I could bring them home. Of course when I dropped them off one dog became sick (she is a senior dog and the stress of everything made her sick). The staff took immediate care of her and of course treated her like the princess she thinks she is!! Fast forward 3 weeks (YES 3 weeks) I was finally able to bring the girls home. They brought them out one at a time so they each got a few minutes to themselves with me after 3 weeks. The young girl who absolutely LOVES Cindy even gave her a kiss good bye! No one wants to board their fur-babies for any amount of time let alone 3 weeks. I knew my babies would be taken care of and loved as the ENTIRE staff loves my animals like they are their own. I cannot thank you all (Margaret, Jorge, Marta, Cindy, Luke, Jill, Dr. Stocks, and everyone else) for caring for my babies last minute in addition to all the stress with COVID-19!!! You are the BEST and I have no idea what we would have done without you!!! read more

Took my cats there for shots. The staff is friendly. They are attentive both with the owner and with the pets. The vet and owner seems to genuinely care about my pets well being and makes lots of recommendations for age appropriate tests. I will be doing dental cleaning for both my cats here in the near future, so I will update then. read more

Please be aware, many of the five-star reviews on Facebook, Google, and Yelp come from the staff. While the business may defend this, it falsely inflates their ratings and is against Google's terms. Two of my neighbors recommended Dr. Stocks after we moved to Addison. We saw him ONCE. They hire contractor and relief veterinarians. Bad idea - I don't want a temp caring for my pets. Dr. Haddy never looked us in the eye and didn't do anything to comfort either of our pets. A majority of the staff lack compassion. When your pet is sick, or scared, or dying, compassion is paramount. When it came time to put my dog to sleep, not once did we hear 'I'm sorry for your loss,' with the exception of the relief vet, (shocker, see above) Dr. Murringham. Not even when we went in to pay my dog's final bill. That was the most heartless interaction I've ever had at a vet's office. You have a lot to learn, Mirna. There is one vet tech I'd like to recognize. Jorge is so good with animals. Both my dog and cat reacted very well to him. I wish he'd find another practice more aligned with his skills and love of animals. He's wonderful. If you have pets in the western suburbs, avoid this place at all costs. read more

Update 11/1/2013: Dr.K is no longer there but there is another female vet there that is amazing. She also gives helpful advice for holistic methods to help your pets which is a big plus for me! My Tommy bear has been struggling with U.T.I.'s and instead of just handing me a bill, she actually went out of her way to call me and go over everything about Tommy's "de-blocking" procedure with me. She also printed out a bunch of paperwork for me with information on supplements Tommy can take at home , including a feliway plug in (that the receptionist also mentioned) to help Tommy relax and be healthy. It's stuff like that that stands out to me, especially when your fur babys life is in the balance! Margerat also went out of her way for me to make sure Tommy had his proper food which I'm eternally grateful for. I should also mention here that the vet techs are awesome. I've been to places before where the vet techs seem indifferent or even rough with your pet. Here , I feel like I'm seeing old friends whenever I take my pets. Also as a side note, this place does have a parking lot and there is always parking. The office is right off of Lake St between Army Trail and Rhowling. You have to get in a middle turning lane to turn in to the driveway,just an fyi. :) ****************************** Very clean offices, friendly vets/staff, same day appointments available. I take both of my fur babies here. My only beef is the cost is a bit high but they accept care credit so thats a plus.See Dr. K, she's awesome! read more

I can't begin to tell you how much we love Dr. Stocks. He talks you through everything and allows you to make the decisions. Over a year ago we moved out of state, we still travel 8 hours to see Dr. Stocks. The staff is kind, professional and receptive. Margaret is a life-saver, she gets everything done quickly, and has calmed my fears many times. My pets (babies) mean a lot to me. I need to know they are being cared for by the best! Dr. Stocks performed the spay surgery on my dog when she was a puppy (6 or 7 months old). We had two options, one was a traditional spay and the other was a spay using a laser. The laser cost more, but I understood it would cause less pain and heal faster. We opted to pay more for the laser spay and I am so glad we did. Our dog was a little out of it after the surgery because of the anesthesia, but the next day, she was back to her regular old self! It was such a relief!!! Dr. Stocks is a great surgeon and I know they have the best technology. They even have laser surgery for older dogs with leg problems. They were also the first vet who ever mentioned different treatment options for our older dog, such as Adequan. I have met other people from other vets who have never been told about the Adequan shots. Dr. Stocks is a great vet with the latest technology. Would highly recommend him. His staff is also great. Jorge is one of my favorites. read more

My wife and myself have recently made Addison Animal Hospital our new home for our kids,Boomer and Bingo. Their friendliness, concern and exceptional service have made this a very reliable service for our kids. Our three and a half year old,Boomer, just completed his yearly check up and shots with no waiting ( not with a first come, first serve philosophy) but by appointment. The expertise of the doctor along with the staff makes it a very enjoyable experience with flexible hours and their curb side service. Their cost is very respectable and competitive. Will be taking our three year old, Bingo, for his yearly check up and shots in October. Highly recommend this facility to keep your pets healthy and safe. Make a change. You'll not regret it. The staff at Addison Animal Hospital is the best. Margaret, the office mgr..is f#1 in my book. Not only does she run the office..she can take care of your pets. I took all three of my cats there. They are all now in kitty heaven. Dr. Stocks saved the life of my female a few times..she threw her back out..and while attending to her..he put her back in alignment..we were going to have to take her to a pet chiropractor in St. Charles or Geneva. She did have to stay at the hospital for a few days, while they treated her...her back end swayed back and forth..with the great care of the staff. BTW..Dr. Stocks was just taking over the practice when this was all happening. We didn't think she would survive...3 wks later after some treatment with steroids and keeping her confined in 1 room..While allowing her to exercise herself..she got by the baby gate and ended going up stairs. He's done surgery on another one of my cats. I highly recommend him..he's up on all the new procedures. He more comfortable with dogs...and he has does surgery on my friend's bird. I highly recommend this animal..and they give a Sr. Citizen discount. read more

Worst animal hospital in the area. Doctor is afraid of the animals he treats and will only recommend treatments he sells. I only went to them as a last resort and I should have listened to friends that said to stay away. If your pet is a family member don't take them there. I have a dog in pain and he stopped carrying the meds that have been successful for her. Instead, he replaced them with a med that has made her loopy and out of it. We found another vet that has her meds that work and he refused to sign her a new script. You have got to be kidding? She is 10 years old and we are just trying to make her last few years bearable for her, but I guess this vet only cares about how he can profit. Sad and ridiculous! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Owner Alan Stocks is all about the money! I have been taking my 2 dogs there for over 6 years, have spent thousands of dollars on annual exams, surgeries, boarding, sickness, the works. I had an appointment last night to get the booster shots for the influenza immunizations. The night before, I discovered an ear infection in one of my dogs after he yelped in pain from itching his ear. When I went to the appt for the booster shot, I asked that they look at his ear. I then learned that apparently the booster shots are done by technicians, and if I wanted Dr. Stocks to look at his ear, they would charge me an EMERGENCY FEE! I was in shock. After all the years, all the money spent, having an appt already, simply asking him to look at his ear while we were there for the booster appt ....and he would charge an EMERGENCY FEE? After arguing with the Doc (which by the way, could have been time spent looking at the dogs ear!), he simply stated that it was an inconvenience fee for the scheduled appts after me, who would then be delayed (what, 10 minutes???). I could understand if that "emergency fee" was then passed on to those poor people that were being inconvenienced...but of course not. That money was being pocketed by the good ole doc himself, and I told him so. I closed out my accounts with them, had them give me all my medical records, and found another vet who saw us that night at no addtl fee. read more
