I could be biased because Amberly Local is so close to home. But wow, the whole experience was amazing. I loved how chill this bar was -- the drinks were good, the charcuterie was affordable, and it was very casual. I just saw neighbors lounging and having a drink after work. The staff were friendly, and because they kept the side door open, we felt a nice breeze. I definitely love this spot and have been back multiple times since my first visit. read more

Bread (roll) for turkey sandwich just not good, meat was good but pickle was awful - a little spicy. Small plastic glasses for soda. I can imagine if we were drinking beer it would be very nice. There are 24 beers on tap and a pretty good wine selection. No Kombucha. There are garage type glass doors that open with seating outside. I imagine it's a hoping place at night. read more

Came here for a evening beer and snack and really enjoyed myself! It's a cool little bar with a couple TVs and a decent beer selection. I ended up getting a hot dog with some dressed greens for food, and they were pretty tasty. It's not gourmet or anything but it got the job done :) I would definitely come back here for a chill outing. read more

Yelp let me down. We stopped by around 3:30 between baseball games for sandwiches. It took probably 15 minutes to get sandwiches; and they weren't anything special.., mine was actually the most boring turkey sandwich I've ever had... so dry I had to drink water to get it down. My son and husband had Italian sandwiches and said they were fine but nothing to write home about. I chose the place for a group of 8 and I was embarrassed. It was cute and had lots of alcohol options, but since we were there for food, we didn't get to experience the beverage options. Maybe if we had it would've been better. If the food hadn't been so expensive, I probably would give it three stars, but at this price, I expected amazing sandwiches. We spent over $40 for three mediocre subs. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch while running errands. Surrounding: Located in a strip mall that has various shoppes, such as coffee, nails, and dry cleaning. The inside of the establishment is clean and organized. Lots of seating and even a comfortable area a table and lounging chairs. Service: Both where made quickly in under 5 minutes, served with either chips or a side salad. Food: Mainly sandwiches and salads we opted to get a caprese sandwich and a roast beef sandwich. The bread was fresh and the tomatoes where ripe. The mozzarella cheese was good. The balsamic was good and an adequate amount was put on. The Roast beef wasn't as rare as I hoped, it was well done (not sure if we just had an end piece of roast beef or what). Otherwise the sandwich tasted good. We enjoyed the laid back vibe. Got the Grilled Gruyère and Italian sandwiches to go and unfortunately both were not great, especially for the price. Italian: bread rather dry and bland, filling fine but overall portion small, and the side salad, purchased at additional cost, was surprisingly small (came in a container that's a size I usually associate with sauces, about a 2-3 inch diameter.) Guyère: barely anything on the sandwich, and then again flavor not great. Didn't try the beer options so those might be better! read more

This place is very much the equivalent of fast food when it comes to having a beer. It rolls into a new way of drinking with friends there's no server you order your drink and get it right then and you nibble off charcuterie that being said if that's what you want Knowing that going into it, you're going to get exactly that and it's great the outdoor area where I go with my dog is nice. About 23 brews on tap I counted, and roughly 15 wines. A small kids play area in back corner too for small ones - which converts into Live Music staging area on music nights. What a great find! I dropped in for lunch with my sister, and had a fabulous, reasonably priced, pastrami sandwich. All sandwiches are offered with either Miss Vicki's chips, or nice salad greens. (not iceberg out of the bag) My sister had the Chicago hot dog, and raved about it. The following night my husband and I returned, after i mentioned that they had 22 beers on tap. Yes, it's clean and nice inside but when I went to get food with a friend, the food and drinks weren't memorable or tasty. Amberly Local not just a beer joint. I went to lunch with some family and friends @Amberlylocal. I didn't know exactly what to expect. My preconceived mindset painted a picture of a dark lit beer bar with a bit of a musky hoppy smell and maybe some 2 day old stale nuts. I was so wrong, Amberly Local was light and airy. It had a very backyard friendly gathering type of vibe. The day I went was a bit brisk so we sat inside however I have every intention on a visit when the weather is being more cooperative to enjoying the really beautiful outdoor seating. The beer which is obviously the main attraction seemed very well curated. I had a tough time choosing with so many hand crafted unknown choices. The staff was able and willing to steer me in the right direction in choosing a beer (neon god) that paired very well with the Cuban sandwich I ordered. Gets loud at night so tough to have a conversation but to be expected for a popular local hang out. Service is atypical because you have to go to bar and open a tab for food/table service. We were at Amberly Local in the afternoon. No table service. Had to go to the cash register to order-- similar to a fast-food restaurant. We do not know whether they have table service later in the day. The bar looked like a lunch counter at a deli. The draft beer list was very good. The atmosphere to enjoy the craft beer not so.
