    Brisket Poutine

Five of us came to watch a World Cup game at 6. We were lucky enough get 5 seats together at the bar (no tables with a view of a tv were available, they were either occupied or reserved). We got a variety of appetizers and a few drinks. Our favorite apps were: Dublin Spice Bag and Spinach Artichoke Dip. We tried the Boxty Sampler and liked the Killarney and Donegal best (the Mullingar was sort of just brisket in the potato pancake). We also got the Loaded Veggie Chips (seasonal item) but they were lacking in flavor a bit and could've benefited from more salt, if nothing else, but they did look really nice with the glaze over the top.

I found a seat at the bar and knew what I wanted - Irish stew. The service was friendly and the food came out fast. It was great for a cold winters night.

We came here late on a week night and only the bar side was open. The young lady serving us was polite and pleasant. We ordered fish and chips but were only able to get the bar portion. They had put away the green beans so the only choice for sides were French fries or sweet potato fries. We were there about an hour before closing time, so don't know why the limited availability. I was very disappointed. The fish was great as always and came out quickly. The noise level was loud even though there were very few people. Lesson learned, don't go after 9:00 at night.

Great Irish music on Wednesdays! You can request what you want to hear. For our appetizer we ordered the Brussel sprouts they were really tasty. Main course was good- fish fry (pieces were on the small side) they were lightly breaded, green beans were great I ordered mine with onion rings (up charge $3) I also ordered the hibiscus tea-it was really flavorful could have used to be warmer. Service was very good. I recommend you get reservations.

    Guinness

Guinness always hits the spot. Smooth, creamy, and full of that old‑school charm people swear has "restorative" powers. It's the kind of pint that feels like a small remedy after a long day -- comforting, steady, and always reliable.

Our family of 4 came to Doherty's for their Easter Brunch Buffet. I'm thankful we were able to get a reservation because this experience was 10 out of 10! The food is 100% quality ingredients, the buffet stayed fully stocked, and the variety was perfect. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. The thick slices of prime rib, seasoned shrimp, custom omelettes, freshest of fruit, and plethora of desserts were absolutely delicious! Would absolutely go here regularly if we lived closer. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely love coming here when I'm in town. It's a must just for their fish and chips!! The fish is super flaky with a delicious crispy batter that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Service is always prompt and our server tonight was very attentive to our large party. Despite being pretty busy for dinner, we were able to hear ourselves fine. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed, with great sour beers! The flavors do rotate, so don't be committed to the drink before it leaves their rotation, but I've yet to have a sour here I did not enjoy

    Special monthly NFL city salutes.
    Chris K.

We came here today especially so I could get the pierogi plate with smoked Polish sausage and red cabbage. It's one of 3 offering for this month's NFL city salute's that they do each year. If you'd like a rare find in the Triangle of a Polish platter, get over to this location or the one in Apex. It was delightful as was our server. I forgot to ask if they offer it everyday this month or just on football Sunday. The other two city salute offerings this month sounded good too, if either would be your preference.

$17 cheese steak (one half shown; I swallowed the other half in 2 bites).
    Steve D.

Does this look like a $17 cheese steak sandwich? This is one half but they both were the same (tiny) This on top of a $9 Guinness and an under filled coleslaw and it is less likely I will joyfully return. Why do neighborhood pubs need to treat customers this way? Service here is always on point on the positive side.

In town visiting family and has a night out so the Pub it was! We tried to make the servers first night fun and had some laughs. She did great! We all enjoyed our dishes and drinks. You have to be happy in an Irish Pub!!

    Boxty Sampler
    Rachel S.

Traveling through Cary, we were hungry and looking for a place that was open late. Using our trusty Yelp app, we discovered this pub! We arrived around 9 pm on New Year's Eve eve (haha) and were a little concerned at first because we didn't see a host or a waiter for several minutes. Our fears were immediately quelled as a really fun and upbeat waitress appeared, got us seated and took our drink orders. All uphill from there! We (a group of 4) ordered the brisket Poutine and the Boxty sampler. BOTH excellent choices! The brisket was sooo tender. A little on the sweet side, but paired with the flavorful gravy, it was a great app. The Boxties were delicious! Basically Irish tacos. I really liked all 3 of them but I think the flavor of the Donegal stood out the most. You can't go wrong with any of them. It's a pretty laid-back looking bar in a nice shopping center. You kind of forget you are in Cary, NC, when you walk in there. It's lively, clean, and has a decent amount of seating for a pub.

Very yummy tasting food! French onion soup broth was very rich and the darkest beef broth if have eaten anyway. My beef brisket melt sandwich had a good melty cheesy bit and flavor, accompanied by the garlic/ onion flavored French green bean side. We definitely would return

Are there any gluten free options?

Absolutely! Shepherd’s Pie, Cider Glazed Salmon, Buffalo Wings and more! The nachos referred to however are not gluten free, the brisket is braised in Guinness.

We started with the cinnamon bun, which was housemade brioche with a vanilla sugar glaze, and honestly it could have been the whole meal. It was that good. We ordered around the table, egg scramble bowl, huevos rancheros, chicken burrito. All of it was solid. The huevos rancheros especially. Salsa roja, chorizo, queso fresco, avocado. Fresh-squeezed OJ and cava in the mimosas didn't hurt either. The food was great. Tori made it memorable. Our server, Victoria (prefers Tori) was just one of those people. She knew when to come by and when to leave us alone, which sounds simple but most people can't do it. Not performative warmth, just actual warmth. She was on top of everything without making us feel managed. We talked about her afterwards. Tori made the occasion. Thank you Tazza Kitchen Stone Creek Village at 600 Ledgestone Way, Cary NC!

And while we were waiting for 5 minutes for our table we were given a slice of pizza to taste, which was an amazing gesture and the pizza was so good, think crust, cheesy but light. We ordered beer and a mocktail for drinks and I loved my mocktail, it was refreshing. For appetisers we ordered their cast iron goat cheese that came with their buttery sour dough bread chunks, the dip was a little too sour for my taste but it was compensated by the flavour full goat cheese. We also ordered their kale and chillies salad for the table and loved it. Highly recommended. For our main course we ordered their Harrisa bowl with crab cake and the Brick oven salmon. The crab cake was on of the best I have ever had. Next time I am definitely ordering their full crab cake order with fries. Every item in the bowl was complementing each other perfectly. The lightly sauted vegetable with a dash of honey tasted great with the tangy white taziki and cucumber sauce and the pearl couscous. I am definitely trying the other bowls next time I am there. The salmon was perfectly cooked and tender. The fried rice, sauted vegetables and the whipped goat cheese tasted so good together. For dessert we ordered their flourless chocolate cake and it was a little dry but very guey and chewy, loved the taste though! Our server was extremely sweet and so considerate of our choices and gave us substitutes and also packed some extra bread togo. So happy and content with food service and the overall ambiance of this restaurant. It gives a fancy vibe but is also very reasonable. Definitely going there again soon!!

Inside, it was pretty spacious, with a couple of couches, a few tables, and of course the bar seating. I saw multiple customers walking around with their dogs, so I'd say Pharmacy is dog-friendly. The bartender was attentive throughout, and I thought the draft beers were very reasonably priced. The selection on draft was only OK, but that's more based on personal preference, I guess :) Pharmacy also had a bunch of cans available for sale, some refrigerated and some not (presumably based on the type of beer). There was an additional fee if you chose to buy a can and drink it in the bar. Maybe this is normal, but it struck me as a little strange. They also had some food items available but I skipped those this time. Overall, I had a pretty good time. I'd definitely consider stopping by again but I'm not sure it'll be a consistent hang-out.
