We had an anmazing experience with G and R Lawn and Landscaping. Gairy and his team removed an old…read morefence, cleared out years of debris, and prepped and sodded our lawn. There so many thoughtful touches, a pathway for my dads wheelchair, mulch barriers from my neighbors wild flowers, storage for our kayaks. The transformation was huge, it's like a whole new house. Gairy was incredibly kind, easy to work with, and very responsive throughout the process. Pricing was also very reasonable for the amount of work completed. We're extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend them.

Third job: (Last fall) paid for manual pulling/removal of Bermuda grass from garden beds, plus weed control and mulch. Emphasis on manual removal - explicitly was told they would pull all the Bermuda out manually to get all the roots out. Took a bit of chasing around to get them to actually get it on the books, and then when they did come they just buzzed everything with a string trimmed and sprayed weed killer over that. We agreed to still pay the full price on the condition that Gairy would send a team out in the spring once the Bermuda woke up and inevitably came through the mulch since it wasn't removed. He agreed, and we left it at that. Flash forward to this year and has completely ghosted us and been non-responsive. Even tried asking about having a bunch of other services added so that it wouldn't be a totally free trip, but still No luck. We finally gave up on any hope of getting the promised services, hired Mr. Outdoor Living, dropped like $4K on services with them instead and will be sticking with them next year when we do a sprinkler system and stone retaining walls.

WoW!! Thank you Plant Guys for exceeding my expectations on my home landscaping project. The entire…read moreexperience from first contact to landscape installation was absolutely amazing. Justin and his entire crew( Eric, Brandon and David) did an amazing job. They were very professional, continuously made me aware of all aspects of the work being done and all worked hard on my front yard landscape project, which greatly 100% improved my home curb appeal. The Plant Guys have several good teams and I'm looking forward to having future back yard landscaping project completed.

I have a small area in the front of my home that I wanted planted, so I did some research on plants…read moreand when I met with Nick, the owner, we went over my ideas. He agreed with a few, but not all. He said he knew what would look good, which after thinking about it, I thought was a bit arrogant. We agreed on the final planting, and set a date, then he emailed me that he could not find the perennials I wanted, and we would have to wait until the fall to plant the rest. I wanted to finish the plantings, so I suggested we look at other ideas. We went back and forth many times, he suggesting some, me saying no, and vice versa. Then I began to get complaints--things like, "I'm running out of ideas", or my favorite "This is taking up more time than my $10,000 and $20,000 jobs I have scheduled, and I can't make any money." As the home owner, I have the right to have a garden that I will enjoy, so who wants to hear complaints from someone that you hire? We eventually finalized everything, and set a date. His crew was great! Friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job--garden looks great. They solved my drainage problem, so I no longer had the threat of water destroying my plants. That was the initial plantings. The crew that came in to finish the 2nd set of plants wasn't so hot. They neglected to put down mulch, and living in the South, you have to have it, so I had to buy it myself and spread it. I asked them about it, and they said Nick said not to--mystery to me. This is not the cheapest landscaping company in Charlotte NC, but they had such grand reviews, I decided to go with them. I'm hoping I can make my garden grow, as I've not had luck in the past, but I'm not even going to bother asking for replacements if some of them die, as the 1-year warranty is iron clad with watering requirements, pest control, soil issues, etc.

This company is doing work right outside my door as I write this. I have a child sick at home today…read moreso leaned out the door this morning to ask what would be going on. The owner, Mr Sweet, proceeded to lie directly to my face about the nature of the work today. I have a sick child at home and wanted to know what to expect. He smiled and told me they'd be mulching and laying grass seed. I said thank you and stepped back inside. An hour later heavy equipment began digging trenches in the space outside my door. Mulch may go down in that area at some point, but today it was a construction project. Why lie about that? It's none of my business what someone chooses to do on their property or who they get to do it. But it's been my experience in this world that a man who will lie to one person will lie to other people. Especially when he knows that lie will be evident very shortly. That's a man who just doesn't care. That's not the kind of man I want working on my property. I don't have a choice about him working on the property next door. Mr Sweet was entirely unconcerned when I asked him why he hadn't been honest this morning, laughing it off as a joke. How a man acts in a minute says a lot about how man will act in the broader world. An honest man will always be honest; a dishonest man will lie to you too. Be careful who you pick to work for you.

This is where all of the fountains, plants, & statues are on display. They have several neat fountains, all pumping out water. As for the inside, they have all the little trinkets that you'd have either in your garden or even in your house. It's more decorations & such inside, but still some good stuff such as birdhouses. We had a chat with the owner of the place & she was great. We probably talked with her for about 10 minutes or so, about everything from her business to politics. She really made you feel welcomed in this place that is an old house transformed into a store. The whole atmosphere of the place is great, from the bubbling brook in the front, to the flower gardens & hanging plants on the front porch. Remember to enter through the back garden area & make sure to chat it up with the owner.
