Booked a lash lift and tint at 11:30. Didn't get taken back till 12, was told i had to have my eyebrows done too because of the lash service..so they did my brows then I waited for another 30 minutes and then was told they don't do lash lifts. So we just did a tint that took maybe 5 minutes. Tech said $25.... Was not thrived, didn't see big different. Went to pay and they said $70 and i said that's not right. Then they said oh okay it's $40. Driving home I got a call from the manager saying I didn't pay for all my services..I'm a very patient person and i was furious. I booked an appointment, drove 40 minutes there because they said they did the service I was wanting..was there over an hour for maybe at most 10 minutes of work. Didn't even get to do half of what I booked. Very disappointed. Also the some workers had a disagreement in a room right next to me....Didn't seem to care that they were arguing in front of customes.... manager took one to the back and I could hear her yelling at him from where I was....very unprofessional. Just because a place is bigger doesn't mean it's better....manager was kind even though I was mad so I did appreciate that. read more

I walked in at 3:30 Friday for a pedi and was not told that I would end up waiting 1.5 hours for service. They really should tell you upfront SOME sort of estimate of your wait. I had a basic pedi for $33, and my nail technician's face immediately registered disappointment. She gave me a half-hearted pedi and barely thanked me for the 20% tip. I NEVER complain about bad service, but this one pushed me over the edge. I'm sure that regulars and people spending more get better service. read more

Went here twice recently the nails started just popping off within 3 days. I went back about two weeks later to remove the ones that were left and get something on my natural nail instead...worst idea ever my nail beds are ruined beyond belief... my nails have what look like cuts on the nail bed and this was after letting the polish come off naturally worst customer service I have seen will not return to this location!! Had an amazing experience with Kenya! I decided to head up to this salon to meet a friend, which was way farther than other Ambiance salons around me. She was so fun, outgoing and a perfectionist. I went in wanting something I never got before, a pink and white ombré SNS. She had never done one but was excited and was determined that I was going to leave with more than satisfied nails! She told me to be picky and let her know if I truly loved my nails. She made me feel so comfortable with her and her services that I truly will drive back that far out of my way for another nail service with her. It was seriously like we had been friends for years. Good morning. I Just walked in to Ambiance on Winton Road. Got an appointment for gel chrome nails and they have put me with a tech who doesn't even know what that is. So now my planning for this was in vain... and the tech and I talked on the phone about it the night before. Later I find that they don't even have what I was wanting there in the first place. Every time I come to this place they have multiple reasoning as to either why the wait is so long or why they can not do nails for that day. When I walked in today the young lady working the door was polite and ready to take my name down, then another employee cut her off ( a bigger girl) I should of got her name because she comes off rude ! I had been calling my whole way to the salon so that' I wouldn't waste time! Nobody answers the phone and it was empty in there! Well the girl cuts her off claiming they are booked for the remaining of the day, but there is nearly nobody in the place working and I felt it was rude for her to cut her off as she is taking my name down. I've given this place chance after chance and try to support the neighborhood but I will never go back to this location! I cannot stand the rude girl who works the door I just can't. It's clean and nice but they need to do something about the staff ' either do all appointments or don't! It's bad for business ! never again!! And I could just tell the girl was lying . I've been going to Ambiance for the past few months. My first appointment was with Lynn and she was fantastic. And my appointment after that as well! Then on my regular schedule appointment day their power went out, so I went a few days later and Lynn wasn't there. No biggie, I expected no different if an experience from anyone else. But this is where all my issues start. I asked for a small detail to be added and the next day they peeled off. I get SNS on my natural nails, and since this appointment and so on my nails have become destroyed. I went back in that week to get it fixed, along with the too coat color peeling etc. I paid for my "fix" service. Still no big deal, then I'll had to go back again! Paid once again for a fix. In April I went to my scheduled appointment, the next day my nail was messed up, so I went back.... this happened 3 times in April! I was always kind, tipped well and ALWAYS PAID for every fix! The 4th time the following day my natural nail broke. I decided not to go back to get it fixed and just waited till it was time for them to be done again. This was last Monday. As soon as I walked in the Manager and Receptionist were talking and then parted and I felt as though I was the topic of their conversation. So I asked the receptionist "oh do I have a reputation here" she responded "something like that" then I showed her my broke nail and she changed her tone. I went to a gentleman who seemed rushed and just aggravated that he "had" to do my service. Along with being rough, especially on my natural nails! I was kind the whole appointment hoping this would be different.... the picture is of my nails currently. My nails broke the next day after my appointment and the $20 extra I paid to get the holographic too coat/layer peeled the next day as well. Here you go not even a week later and this is the results. Worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I got sns chrome purple and "Daniel" gave me blue sparkles without informing me until after I already paid ($40) "Daniel" then told me that the chrome finish was going to be 20 extra ($60). He took off $5 for the wrong color. Overall all my nails came out super thick and not even close to the color I picked out. Will never come back to this location. read more

I went for a manicure and pedicure with gel nails. Don was my technician. I paid for the most expensive pedicure and Don barely groomed my cuticles and worked on my actual feet. Most of the experience was him massaging my legs while he watched television. When he did my manicure he took the nail drill and drilled off the gel nail polish. I told him that I did not want him to use the drill, that I've always had my nails soaked in nail polish remover then removed by hand, not a drill. He told me that he was using a gentle bit. When he dug it into my thumb and I saw the gash, I realized he was not telling the truth. He drilled three of my nails to the point of them being paper thin. He then told me they were thin because my hands had been in water. I have very thick nails and when I showed him the difference in my nails he then said that the gel polish would thicken them up. I should have gotten up and walked out, but I stayed and let him finish my manicure and it was horrible. Again, he didn't touch my cuticles and my hands look horrible because he put so many coats of polish and it just looks like globs of fingernail paint. I left and went to another salon and they couldn't believe how bad my right hand (the hand that he drilled) was compared to the hand that I didn't allow him to drill. All the manager did was tell him to put on a thickening base coat and two top coats. I travel for work and have been in nail salons all over the United States and have never had such horrible service. I wouldn't take my dogs there to have their nails done. read more

This place is quiet expensive for the quality of services they provide. The technicians are too arrogant, if you tell them that they missed something or the shape doesn't look right, they would glare at you like you are stupid and then say that your finger is crooked. Their "free" nail length is too short. Chrome is $20 extra and $30 extra for capsulated. The whole thing can get too expensive. The first time TO did my nails, he miss shaped 3 nails and when I asked he just wasn't happy. He did my nail A little too away from my cuticles and after a week and a half it already grew so much that I had to go get them done again. He did not clean dried acrylics under my nails so that was creating a lot of trouble for me because it would get stuck. And I paid like $70 for a basic coffin full set acrylics with one color. They try to rush things and get you out of the door. 2nd time Don did my nails, he did acrylics OVER my cuticles. I paid $60 to get pink misshaped acrylics (he just used power). Over my nails, weren't even also! But their work looks somewhat presentable. The atmosphere is nice. Technicians often take calls and stay on call while doing customers' nails. read more
