I called to speak to the owner and she offered me my money back through a giftcard only and it had to be used within 30 days. It disheartens me to write this because I seldom write negative reviews; however, I often rely on reviews when trying a new businesses. I have been to Dream Salon & Spa twice. My recent experience was extremely disappointing and highlights some major inconsistencies in the level of service. To put this in context, I've been to nail spas/salons all over the country and consistently get my nails done professionally. Sadly, this was by far the worst manicure I've ever had. First, I booked an extended wear gel manicure appointment online for a specific time but no one was available when I arrived. I was not in a huge hurry so I left and returned for the later time. In terms of the actual service, my removal was very harsh and damaged my actual nails. I felt the burning sensation with the shaving device because it was removing my actual nail. This left my nails very thin. The nails were not evenly shaped. After mentioning it, I was offered a nail file to shape myself after the appointment. Polish was painted poorly and left along the edges. One nail chipped badly soon after the appointment. It is not extended wear if this happens the day after the appointment. Embarrassingly, my close friend actually laughed out loud when she saw my nails. My once lengthy, healthy nails are essentially destroyed and will take a long time to regrow. Given the variability in quality, I would not risk it at their price point (almost $60, excluding tip) for possible subpar service (i.e., worse than my own ability to paint my nails / requiring me to do thorough shaping). I'm going to have to get them fixed elsewhere less than a week after they were done. I'm just really bummed. Some of my nice long nails are long gone. :( read more

The service at this place was very nice and I appreciated they were open on a Sunday. Everyone is extremely friendly and I got in right at my appointment time. Unfortunately, the gel manicure itself wasn't very well applied and began to chip and peel the next day. A different tech was nice enough to fix it for me the next day. However, several more nails chipped in the following week. Generally, a gel manicure can last me up to 2 weeks, but this one looked bad after about 3 days. I likely won't return, but possibly a different nail tech may do better work and I heard great things about Bo while I was there. read more

I was in search of a salon to color my hair and I had picked some pretty outrageous hair colors. I had read some reviews about this place and it looked like they did a really good job with hair color. I drove to Dream Salon and Spa, found them easily and saw they had parking dedicated to them next to the salon which was perfect because it seemed like a pretty busy little place. I walked in and was greeted as I walked in. They had water and tea and offered some to me. Everything looked clean and welcoming as I waited for my appointment. They got me right on time for my appointment and the stylist that I had was Kaity. I showed Kaity some of the hair colors that I was looking at for my hair and she asked me some questions and then went to get the owner and the owner talk to me about my choices of hair color. They would do the hair color that I wanted but discussed the reasons that I shouldn't based on the answers that I gave. It turns out they were right! I ended up with something that doesn't require a lot of Maintenance and when my hair grows out it's not as noticeable. I also look so much younger :) Everyone was very friendly and I am sure that I will return for more services in the future. I highly recommend you give them a try! read more

This was my first visit to Dream Salon & Spa. I got the works - haircut, manicure, and pedicure! I was very nervous when I arrived as it had been a long while since I had gotten my hair cut. It had been almost two years. I had an off experience with my last stylist who gave me bangs right before the pandemic and the cut was a bit lopsided - so I had a little bit of fear coming into a new salon. However, Kaity was an absolute game changer in my choice for stylists. I showed her a couple pictures of what I thought might look cute and gave her full reign on what she thought would look best. She did not disappoint! We went short to chin length to hide my outgrown bangs and she added layers. My hair is wavy (2b/2c in some areas) and she said this style would add texture to fall naturally well for my hair. She styled my hair by adding waves to my hair so that I could see what it looked like once it was cut. Kaity even took the time to show me how to curl my hair with the hair straightener because I asked her how she does it. I have not been able to get my hair to curl using the straightener - but she gave me some great tips that I will use! I had mentioned to her that I always wanted to color my hair and she showed me a couple options of what we could do on a future visit. That made me very happy! I will be back to visit her in a couple months and have her give me the under color we talked about!! After the cut, I was up for my pedicure. I had not had a professional pedicure for probably 10 years and Coco was absolutely wonderful. The massage chairs were great once I figured out the controls and was not being bounced around the chair (LOL!). I picked out a beautiful teal color for the pedicure and it turned out wonderfully. Coco also did my manicure after the pedicure with the same color. I think my mani & pedi ran over the closing time as I was the last customer to leave (45 minutes after 7pm). I appreciate Coco staying to finish taking care of me as my appointment started at 4:15pm and they were quite busy today. Overall, I loved my visit and will definitely be back. This is the worst nail experience I ever had. In one of the photos you can see the blood from the cut on my cuticles she made while filing my nails. I can't believe I paid $90 for gel manicure and regular pedicure for the subpar work! And the extra charge for the "dead skin sea scrub" that she applied to my legs NOT my feet was a joke. I didn't even let her finish the pedicure because I could clearly see my nail bed and streaks in my polish after "three coats" THREE COATS!!! Clearly she never learned the proper painting technique. Ugh, I should still hear her voice in my head saying "just one more coat" - NO lady, not even 15 coats of nail polish can hide this disaster and your lack of skill. Epic failure. I really wanted to give this place 5 starts because the staff is amazing. I mean, incredibly kind and sweet and comfortable setting. I took my cousin here for pedicures last week and we had a great time! However, had to 4 star it because my pedicure started chipping away three days after getting it. It's now been a week and my toes look terrible, already looking long overdue for another polish. For reference, I usually go three weeks before my toes look like they need a revamp! When the technician was polishing I noticed that the polish was very runny and seemed old, so I'm wondering if that was simply the problem. Regardless, it was a huge downfall. Their prices are fair, but it's still an investment to get nails done! And this is a bummer. I wouldn't recommend coming here for regular polish mani/pedis. It just won't last. read more

We drove from Lexington, KY to Cincinnati to get pampered . When I got there I was really pleased with the staff an how I was greeted an treated throughout my whole experience . My husband an I got 2 full packages . The whole package includes facial, manicure, pedicure, an a shoulder massage . We ran out of time while we were there so my husband got everything done and enjoyed everything . On the other hand . I just got time to get my nails done an pedicure . My nails that I got started coming off after 2 or 3 days an still losing nails . My pedicure is great an felt wonderful . There is a warranty on them fixing your nails for up to 10 days . I thought the nail work was ok yet cheap . My bill was about $300 I tipped each person that rendered a service to us $133 each . Needs better quality !!! read more

While just the balayage cost around $170, I am VERY pleased with the results. I came in with brassy hair due to box dying methods and left with a beautiful white gold color. Kaity was so reassuring in letting me know exactly what she planned to do. She was extremely friendly and made the 3 hour appointment fly by, even offering to get me a glass of wine! In other salons around the area, I've felt rushed and pressured and keep adding things on, or like I couldn't ask for adjustments on shape, but they've always been so nice here. The prices are very reasonable, every one is nice, and I always have good conversations. The nails last super well and i always get compliments. I decided to go to Dream salon and spa to get a pedicure for a concert that I'm going to this weekend and I was looking for a spa that was small and low-key and I found this one. I was the only customer and it was only one employee, she greeted me, I told her I had an appointment and she told me to pick out a color. Every color I picked she disagreed with and suggested another color, they didn't have much to choice from as far as polish choices, but why tell me "no" to the first 4 colors I picked!!! We finally agreed on a color (somewhat), and I got the Hawaiian Pedi, she did a great job. I don't like the color!...but my feet is clean and soft! Lol Another employee came in and shortly after 2 customers. As my polish was drying the employee that did my pedi greeted the next 2 customers and ask them did they want cookies and water....she didn't offer me that! She touch my toes to make sure they were dry, she thought they were dry and she put my sandals back on and what happens ...the big toe is not dry and the polish smears. She had to fix it. As I'm continuing to dry she said she needs payment, I gave her my credit card and I like to tip in cash...she comes back and in front of the other 2 customers state that my card is not working. I felt like she should of pulled me to the side....the machine kept asking for a card number and something else, so I told her let me go to the ATM across the street and withdraw the money instead. I OFFERED my phone for her to keep to let her know I'm coming back. I get the money and paid and left! I don't want to make it a race thing, a location thing...Idk ...but I was not very comfortable and I use this time as self care...the disagreeing with the polish, not offering me cookies and water like the other ladies and stating my card didn't work in front of customers was very unprofessional and I will not be back...and I still tipped her because my feet are so soft! read more

He was willing to stay on the phone and chat with me about everything and assured me we'd figure it out. We are in town for a music fest and had an afternoon to relax. At the last minute we called Dream Salon & Spa to see if my mom and I could get in for a haircut, a full set of nails and 2 pedicures. Bo was my nail tech and he did an amazing job on the ombré pink and white set! They are gorgeous! He also did a fantastic job on my pedicure. I left relaxed and feelings cute. The whole staff works tirelessly to ensure their clients comfort and satisfaction. My only regret is they aren't in Chicago! I will definitely be back next time I am in Cincinnati. Unfortunately I have to say that I was not very impressed with my first experience at Dream. After being fed up with other salons around the area, I searched on yelp for a new go-to salon and I decided to give Dream a chance. I scheduled an appointment for a 2:45 on a Monday, I arrived on time and there was only 2 other people in the salon. My nail tech was 15 minutes late.. I don't know if she forgot she has an appointment or what, but it was quite frustrating. Side note, there was no apology for being late. I asked for an SNS manicure and the first half of my experience was great. However, the most annoying part was that my nail tech finished my SNS with a gel coat and put my nails under a UV light... if you know about SNS, you know that they don't require a UV light. As a result, my manicure has cracked and looks unkept. Additionally, she didn't shape my nails properly or clean up any residue on my skin. Overall, my experience was just OK. I liked the color of my nails, it was true to the tester nail. But between having to wait 15 extra minutes, my manicure not being done correctly, and having to clean up my own nails when I got home, I will not be a returning customer. I can't speak on the other services they provide, but this is definitely not the place for an SNS manicure. read more

Always excellent customer service from the time I walk in until the time I leave. This last time, I requested Allen from reading reviews online. I had the Lavender pedicure with the SNS manicure. I was pleasantly surprised at how thorough he was in doing my nails. I'm very particular especially when corners/ small areas are missed when polishing. I never had to ask him to go back over an area, or to correct something. This was also true during my 1st visit. I believe I had Bo, and he too done a wonderful job, and was very meticulous in making sure my nails were amazingly beautiful! Their prices are steeper than most other nail salons.
