Came here for lunch one afternoon. The place was not overly crowded, but service was sub-optimally slow. I ordered the veggie burger which was served on toast. The burger was kind of mushy and Bland. Cannot recommend this. Fries came with homemade ketchup which was interesting. The ice coffee was blah. Chocolate chip cookie was also not all that great. I think I would skip this place in the future.

What a place!!! In the heart of the noisy center of Florence there is this unbelievable silent little square where you can eat in this bio-food point. Everything is fresh and made or cooked in front of you. All the furniture are for sell and they are strictly old and vintage! With a free wifi it's a perfect place to study or work in peace despite you are next to Ponte Vecchio!!! I really suggest to insert in your bookmarks this place! Go for it fellas!

After an awesome bikewalk tour in Florence we ended up here. The location and ambiance are great. It's tucked away in an alley and very chill. A great place to have a spritz outdoors.

Amble is somewhere I go pretty often, a beautiful little hipster bar in an inner courtyard a stone's throw to the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. Originally known as the place that serves 'tramezzini' or little sandwiches or finger food, along with brunch items, fresh fruit juices, cocktails and coffee. The strong point is that the place is very very cute, you feel like you are nestled into the scenery and literally everything in the cafe is for sale, from the chairs, the tables to the cigarette stands. It's like one big swap-meet but with really good drinks. They get extra points from me because they make an awesome moscow mule (generous too) and a carrot spritz which almost makes drinking 'healthy.' HIghly recommenc this joint for pre-dinner drinks in the center of Florence.

Hidden cafe gem of Florence. Coffee & cocktails, lots of sandwiches. A fixed brunch menu, a little pricey, but bet it's delicious. It's tucked away so nicely on the touristy side of the Arno, but tucked away so well you feel like you're far from the crowds. Colorful & funky furniture. Great outdoor seating for the summertime. Can't wait to keep coming back with friends & family. Not a lot of menu options though, but great place for a quick drink & sandwich.

Amble's motto is, quite simply, 'good food and old furniture.' I can vouch for that. - I really, really dug Amble's retro shabby chic decor. It was such a nice surprise to see the vintage furniture dotted around outside and it set the tone perfectly. We were looking for Amble, and catching sight of it, we just knew we'd found it. Amble feels like a secret as it's really quite hidden away. It's so worth seeking out and very much feels like a haunt that's a favourite with locals. Our waiter was super duper charming, welcoming us warmly and giving us a great tip on what to order. - We took his advice of ordering the sandwich of the day along with the dish of the day to share and we weren't disappointed. Everything was five-star levels of tasty and, it was refreshing to try somewhere in Italy that wasn't serving up traditional Italian food and offering something a little different. The sandwich of the day was an interesting ham crustless concoction and the dish of the day was a comforting and meaty dish with delicious veggies and fried potato. All delicious and generous in portion size. But, guys, get THIS. See those crusts that had been ruthlessly chopped from the bread for the sandwich? They'd been grilled and seasoned and served up as some kind of glorious crust fries. This really made us smile, and was a nice little addition which made Amble all the more sweet. They were delightfully crispy and seasoned to perfection. - How ingenious to make fries of crusts! The Italian sunshine called for an Amble Spritz; the cafe's signature cocktail. Mmm, mmm, mmm. - I do recommend if you've an afternoon aperitif on your mind. Amble made for such a memorable off-the-beaten track spot for lunch with delicious food and warm, charming service. If I were a Florentine, I think I'd find myself a regular!

Loved this place! Stumbled upon this place via a blog and it became my go to local coffee spot the duration of my time in Florence. Friendly, cute baristas who whip up amazing coffees and even sometimes treat you to free biscuits. Totally affordable as well, coffees around 1-2 Euros.

Turkey sandwich with pecorino cheese, arugula, carrots, and basaltic vinegar - FANTASTIC!

Fantastic food - I was desperate for something light (I've had enough past and dairy to last me a LONG time!) super fresh salmon, oven roasted turkey breast, etc - create your own salads and sandwiches. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend! (It's a tad hidden, but worth the search, I promise!)

We choose the home made lemonade and an amazing salad.

Awesome place! You have to carefully look for it as its hidden within a building complex. Old hipster furniture and freshly made food. We can recommend the homemade lemonade, very refreshing !

**I Girone de' Ghiotti -- Florence, Italy **…read more Before leaving Florence, we had to make a stop at the viral sandwich spot everyone seems to rave about--and I'll admit, we arrived before opening, second in line, slightly skeptical about whether the hype was actually deserved. **OH. MY. GOD. It was.** This was hands down one of the best sandwiches we've ever had. The bread was fresh and perfectly crisp on the outside while still soft enough to hold all the incredible fillings together. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully put together. The menu has around 18 different combinations, and while they're happy to make some adjustments, I actually appreciated that they encourage you not to over-customize. Their combinations are designed so you can taste each ingredient the way it's intended. We went with **the Suicida and the Golosa**, and both were absolutely delicious. Each had its own personality, with layers of flavor that somehow worked perfectly together without becoming overwhelming. There's something about standing in line on a little Florentine street, watching these sandwiches being prepared, and then taking that first bite that makes the whole experience even better.

By the time we arrived and scoped out the Duomo, we were definitely ready for lunch. We were walking down the crowded cobblestone streets and decided that wanted a sandwich for lunch. We made a quick left turn and saw a line of people waiting. We weren't necessarily sure what they were waiting for until we inquired. Most people were waiting for sandwiches - SCORE! We decided to get in line and realized how quickly the line was moving. Traffic was being moved by their workers who were assisting with menu suggestions. We quickly got up to the front of the establishment and realized how tiny it is inside. It was so cool to see an actual Italian deli in action. From what I heard, they source their ingredients from local farmers, too! I ordered the La Rosa and my husband ordered the Gregorio (in honor of our friend Greg!). We waited outside for a few minutes while they prepared our order. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and the bread was surprisingly crispy. The cost was super reasonable, too, for how much food you are getting. We will be back!

November 9, 2024 2:30PM…read more It does appear they have two stalls on the same street that you can order from. One side seemed to have more alcohol on display and the side I was on was more sandwich focused, but I'm pretty sure you can order the same things from both windows. Initially I was going to get the 21 - Fresh Sausage and Eggplant because I'm an eggplant lover... the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me know that the fresh sausage is actually rare, uncooked sausage and gave me a small piece to try. I was getting ready to get on a train that day and didn't want something that might not sit well with me, so I moved on to number 27 spicy salami and cream cheese. My partner got the number 1, ham, cream cheese and rocket salad. Both are very good sized and oh so delicious. The line moved quickly, so many options for decision paralysis. This is the place for schiacciate Florentine as recommended from friends who used to live here. Definitely would recommend to study up their menu before coming so it's easier to pick what you want. This is more of a stall and you grab and go, we stood around the sidewalk and inhaled our sandwiches. The roasted ham is tasty and the truffle cream adds a lovely flavor and ties the dish together. Finocchiona E Crema De Formaggio- Can't sing enough of their bread's praises! The tuscan salami is spicy and flavorful. The fennel is slightly sweet and the cream cheese is smooth and light. Great experience overall!

We needed to try these sandwiches. So after a brief discussion with the guy manning the window (they roast the pigs outside the city, and just serve them here - it's not a large space) we got three of them. The classic, the one with the truffles, and the spicy one. We cut them all up, and presented them to our larger group as a porchetta tasting. The verdict? They are all winners. Every single sandwich was good. However, they didn't taste as different as one might think. The porchetta itself overrides the truffle/spice, and while that's not a bad thing, I think I'd like a little more of the sauce on each. Do with that what you will, but you should probably get at least one. Maybe not three.
