Most of the time this is a great place to go to the movies. I've only had one bad experience. Two years ago there was a two year old baby in my row and him and his mother kept going in and out of the theater and the baby would even stand up in his seat. This by the way was a PG 13 movie. This theater is great! AMC itself has improved tremendously. Free refills on drinks and you can order your concessions ahead of time! You can even get them delivered to your seat. When it comes to the seats, they're phenomenal. Leather recliners set up in pairs with removable arms are perfect for date night. You can also reserve seats ahead of time. There's plenty of parking as well. The staff are nice and accommodating. If you're already willing to spend the money to go to a theater, this place isn't much more than any other theater, but comes with lots of fun extras. read more

There is always a sliver lining or in other words an opportunity. Is the access or parking great here? Not really. Is the movie selection any better? No. Is the food better? Good Lord no...it is heart attack in the making. So why the 4 stars? The SEATS. This is the place to go even if your significant other wants to see a movie that is likely to put you to sleep. You CAN! This place has the greatest napping seats. I plan to hold out for any movies I do not want to see but feel compelled to go to until it come here. I will then roll back the chair, put up my feet and take a nap while being a good husband going to a movie I have no desire to see. Now that is the plan. If you enjoy the stench of fart with an air of vomit this is the theater for you! There was not a single inch of clean space in the lobby or the theater. The soda fountains were disgusting! Napkins everywhere, no clean cup covers, and it looked as though someone spilt something on the straws. The floor was riddled with the debris of ticket stubs, unwanted food scraps, and the stick of spilt drinks. It looked as though the staff had simply given up on cleaning, and this was only a Thursday. I can only imagine the nightmare of a friday night with new releases. I'm honestly surprised I was able to stay for the entire movie, if friends of mine were not so into the film I would of walked out! Thankfully I left without becoming infected by the aids of the grime in this place. Will never return. Good Luck! read more

Not much to say other than if you want a case study into why your local movie theater is dying, look no further then AMC Braintree 10. Place looks like is hasn't been cleaned in years, some patrons during the movie not only shouted, talked, and made comments out loud at the movie, but when asked to quite down by others in the theater multiple times, they would threaten those people with physical violence....nice. Soooooo yea as sad as this sounds (because a movie night use to be one of my favorite things) I will be waiting the extra month to watch something on-demand at my house from now on. read more

The reclining chairs are amazing. Divider goes up between seats for a nice snuggle with your loved one. Only drawback is tickets sell out quickly. Every worker I encountered here was exceptionally nice and upbeat, very heart warming. Can't wait to go back. read more

Love this movie theater! Recliners are awesome and comfy. Super roomy; you can be fully reclined and someone could still walk by right in front of you and you don't have to budge. Arm rest in between the seats goes up so you can snuggle, if you went with a snuggler, that is. Amazing theater. It is definitely worth buying your tickets ahead of time for this movie theater because there are limited seats, especially since they got rid of the old seats and replace them all with reclining chairs. These chairs are super comfy and you can practically lay down while watching your favorite movie. They changed it to be a system where you have to sit in specific seat numbers depending on your ticket you bought, so the earlier you buy it, the better the seat. This theater really makes you feel like home while watching movies. read more

This review is based solely on my experiences and pass theaters from Burbank California the third busiest AMC in America. This location is great plenty of parking and very comfortable seats fully reclinable and leather I believe. Only problem is the sound system does not sound as great and the seats the worn almost with some tears in it. Other than that I like the stator and I keep coming back like I said plenty of parking fast service at the food stand just all-around good theater. read more

My boyfriend and I were never really fans of going to movie theaters because it's always uncomfortable and unpleasant. This place has converted us completely! Assigned seating is a great feature-- no more showing up an hour early to get a good seat, or showing up on time and getting stuck sitting in the front. The leather recliners really are a great touch. They do make some awkward sounds as you get into position but you're so comfortable you won't even care. I think the only thing that was missing was my comfy blanket that i cuddle up with when I watch movies at home--- but I'll definitely be back and maybe even bring it with me! ha! read more

BEST THEATER AROUND! No competition. Every single theater has HUGE reclining leather seats w/arm rests. AND...it's not $25+ per ticket like all other Lux theaters- it's only $11ish. I joined the AMC rewards club and w/every $100 I spend I get $10 back and free upgrades on all concessions. Good deal as I enjoy going to the movies alot. The other benefit to this theater is you can reserve your seats online in advance to guarantee seats together and where you want. I LOVE THIS feature. I hate going to a crowded theater on opening weekend and fighting to find 2-4 seats together that aren't in the front row. I always purchase in advance, reserve my seats and when I arrive- skip the line and get my tickets at the ticket machine. I will never go to any other theater again. read more

Love this theater! Comfy reclining recliners with plenty of walking space between rows so you don't have to awkwardly squeeze by others if you need to get up. Make sure you recline before the movie starts as the chairs make a lot of noise. I always go to the matinees when the tickets are cheaper. read more

Okay, I love the reclining chairs! I loved the ease of online tickets & choosing my seats :) I was disgusted by the bathrooms. At 7pm they were bad by 10 they were really really really disgusting! Someone did restock at some point .... so the almost empty rolls of tp were balanced on the dispensers . This place was such crap when I was younger but since they did it over it's great. It's close by for me and my girlfriend if we want to catch a movie last minute. The seats are comfortable and I like the whole reserved seating thing that seems to be happening at more and more theaters. I only gave it 4 out of 5 because they are missing one thing that Lux Level in Dedham and Patriot Place have....alcohol. Say what you will but we like to enjoy a few drinks when we watch a movie so if we have time we take a ride to Patriot Place because we can get beers or wine while watching the movie. If this location took part of each theater and made it 21+ only and started serving alcohol, trust me I would be here for every movie I wanted to see. read more

If you ever visit at a busy time, be prepared to wait. On a few occasions, the theater lacked the proper amount of staff to handle ticket sales. However, once you're in your comfy, leather recliner you forgot about the wait. The remodel looks great although you can still hear other movies playing toward the end of your picture. Had an excellent viewing experience at this theater. Saw the Wolf of Wallstreet with my wife in power-reclined comfort. We sat close but it was fine with the recline. Can't speak to the snacks as we came well-fed. Nice, clear picture and great sound. Only knock is the parking lot was tight and slow moving. We'll be back for sure. read more

Located just off the highway and a short distance from the South Shore Plaza; the Braintree AMC is the perfect venue for movie going in the area. Tickets and concession are bit pricey, but the amount of services the theater provides more than makes up for the hit to your wallet. The theater can get quite busy, but the staff is able to accommodate the needs of its customers. Will be back and would recommend. read more

My boyfriend and I use to go to the movies at the Hingham Ship Yard, because it was the best theater around and great prices. However, since the Braintree AMC has been through a make over I don't think we'll be back to The Ship Yard anytime soon. Great deals if you get to the early matinees. $6.00! How can you go wrong? Easy to get to and everything is new! Movie screens are clear and the sound is loud just how we like it! Also, did I forget to mention the reclining seats? Oversized? Leather? It's amazing. When we arrived we discovered our movie was sold out, which was our own fault for not preordering tickets. I just can't remember the last time I had to preorder and didn't think it would be a problem. As far as the renovations, I can really only comment on the front lobby, which was dirty and cold. In addition, I found it quite strange that the employees selling tickets were separated from the customers with sheets of glass. Being in the middle of Braintree, a town not necessarily known for a high crime rate, it seemed unnecessary and quite frankly pretty impersonal. The real issue with this theater though is the traffic outside. After being in the theater for no more than five minutes, the hour and forty-five minute line of traffic we sat in to get out of the parking lot, was by no means worth it. Though I can't imagine any movie ever being worth that amount of traffic. When we spoke with an employee inside about it, she assured us that "It's always like that." If this is an ongoing problem, it seems quite confusing that nothing would be done about it. There needs to be a more organized fashion of exiting this parking lot. I will never return to this theater because as I said earlier, no movie is worth that amount of traffic. Legacy and Randolph will continue to be go-to cinemas. read more

I liked them a while ago, they had great service and lots of food choices. However, with the addition of the new recliner seats, there came problems. -They have assigned seating now, and you have to get to the theater, like, an HOUR before the movie if you want good seats. Otherwise, you are in the left-bottom corner, and the screen is barely visible. -The new seats take up more space, so there are less seats available, and they sell out more quickly. -They make you fill your own drinks now. I like the new soda touch-screen dispensers, but do you realize how hard it is to pour soda AND carry your popcorn? There aren't even any tables to put your stuff. It's not easy, that's for sure. Plus, the button you press to dispense the sodas gets stuck half the time, and you end up catching heat for wasting their product. - Get in early? Trying to take a good seat instead of the terrible ones? Fat chance. They have bouncers who make sure you stay in your crappy seats. And if they catch you moving, you get separated from your friends. Not really an issue if you are alone, but still a stupid idea. This would not be a problem if AMC was a small theater, but it's huge nowadays, and it's starting to get on my nerves. Overall, the excellent service is still there, with some exceptions (*cough* bouncers! *cough*), but it is outweighed by the flaws, and really isn't a very enjoyable experience anymore. read more
