Good movie experience, but limited in some ways. Didn't have all the soda options - ie just plain Coke and no flavor options - and every is worn a bit. This AMC theater has improved since it first opened. They have large comfy recliner seats. The seats are so comfortable that I've dozed off during a movie. Having the large recliner seats also means there are a lot less seats than there used to be. Less people are a good thing in this day and age in which patrons can be so unruly. The concession stand has good options, and you can order from your phone on the way to the theater and pick up the food when you get there. There is a small bar open on the weekends. The screens are large with good sound quality. This AMC does seem a bit understaffed at times, but the staff working does a good job. I would go more often if I lived closer to it. read more

I love AMC so much (I'm an AMC A-List member) but unfortunately this theater is a mess. Severely understaffed all the time and only one soda machine is working most of the time. Bathrooms are usually dirty and out of soap. I also saw a mouse in the bathroom once. The reclining seats are nice when they work. There's also been times when there was no one there to scan my ticket, which is frustrating because not scanning can affect my A-list membership. Overall, I would avoid this location and head to the Fashion District one instead. read more

I just find it odd that if you know you're selling movie tickets for late at night why not have the concession stand open at least up until the movie starts. All the soda machines were open. I'm going to say if AMC wants to do a dine in fine, but these "upgraded" snack locations suck. The everything soft pretzels were just pretzels rolled in popcorn butter and dumped upon with everything bagel seasoning. I got some impossible nuggets that were cooked to death. I got some sprite that tasted like liquid poison. I had to dump it. I hate dumping stuff. I am not the type to dump a drink and get another just because I don't like it. I am also not the type to drink poison. So movie start time is 7:20 so it turns to 7:41 and I'm checking my ticket and the showtimes. I'm not in a rush or anything but I've been staring at a blank screen for 20 minutes. That's my limit. So I go find an employee in the hall. I gave him the situation and he went to ask one of the 8 employees behind the concession stand what was going on. Sounded like the schedule was off. Either way they got it going which my grateful for. So I feel bad trashing their theater but that's the only reason it gets two stars. I need to support my AMC stock. I went to the AMC Broadstreet 7 in Philadelphia to see an 8:30 PM showing of Aquaman in 3D. The staff there is the worse I have ever seen. The cashier I checked in with asked her co-worker to give me a pair of 3D glasses. He told her, "They're over there" and went inside the back room and never came back out as I stood there waiting for the 3D glasses. Finally, one of the staff members gave me a pair of 3D glasses but the packaging was slimy with grease. I had to go into the restroom to wash the package. The lights in the auditorium stayed on through the trailers. I was the only person who purchased a ticket inside this auditorium. Some of the staff came in to watch the movie, which I wouldn't mind but they kept talking during the movie. By the end of the movie, they were screaming and shouting. I kept telling them to be quiet, but they just kept screening and shouting so that I couldn't hear the dialogue. The two girls, one heavy and one with braids, also made fun of me and laughed at me for asking them to be quiet. They didn't leave until the movie ended. I sat through the end credits because I wanted to see if there was a post-credit scene. As the credits were rolling, the two girls came back in and told me I needed to leave because the movie was over and it was the last movie. I asked them if there was a manager on duty and told them they would be fired. The girl with the braids lied that there was no manager on duty. They had security kick me out and one of them pushed me from behind. They didn't even let me use the restroom. While I called the police, they made racist comments about me. All of the staff need to be fired. I don't know if they targeted me because I'm Asian or because I was alone. I think they waited until the movie was almost over to scream and shout so that it would be too late for me to ask for a refund. I have been an AMC A List Stubs member for many years and I am shocked by the way I was treated. The only other time I had been to this location, a guest kept talking on his phone during the movie and when another guest told him to take it outside, he threatened to shoot the other guest. As shocking as that was, it's even more shocking that something similar would happen again but coming from the staff this time! If they are not fired, I cannot go back there as I would be at risk of being assaulted and mistreated again. read more

Don't go to this movie theater as it is a scam. I paid premium seats for the Avatar 2 movie on 3D and as it turns out the play the movie standard and not on 3D; they even gave me glasses yet the movie is on 2D. I went and ask on the front desk, but it's worthless as the staff here is awful. None of the staff member in the desk knows anything about the issue or they are playing dumb to be able to keep the scam. Has got to be one of worse movie theaters I've been to. Even the one by Columbus Blvd, which closed down, was slightly better. The theater has no bottled water available for purchase. All the seats are broken in some way. None of the chairs recline, except the ones already stuck in the fully reclined position. Also, it seems no one cleans up after each showing or does any cleaning at any sort throughout the theater. It looks as though a hurricane came through this theater. It's quite disappointing. I used to attend Temple University and was really happy that the main campus and surrounding area has gotten a lot better, but some things have not changed. read more

I'm not even sure where to start. Well, let's begin at that snack bar. They were low on snacks (some shelves were even empty), and the staff wasn't the most communicative. I thought about getting a hot dog but felt it probably wasn't the safest choice based off of how things looked. Also got a water to drink because they had nothing else. Nothing. No Icee, no Coke, nothing. The bathroom: I've never, EVER gone to a public restroom and left because of the lack of cleanliness. Maybe if the restroom was busy, yes. But clogged toilets where I could clearly see leftover remnants wadded in toilet paper? Nah. There was only one working stall and trash was all over the place. I've seen port-o-potties that have been cleaner. (Also, it's not as if I visited the cinema late at night during high traffic. It was 5pm on a lazy Sunday.) The actual theater: Sticky seats and leftover food were left around. The floor needed to be vacuumed. Any other time, this is disgusting. But during COVID, this is COMPLETELY unacceptable. I was actually uncomfortable to move around in my own seat. There was a scratch on the screen that was pretty distracting. At least the person checking tickets was nice. I plan to forward this AMC review to corporate. read more

So here's the thing about this place. Yes it is slightly dirty but YOU have to THANK the dirty people that leaves it that way. The crew in there only has a small amount time to clean up before the next movie begins. Why are the seats still broken blame the ignorant people who are breaking them. AMC 7 is on par with every other AMC theater I have been to. The theaters have reclining seats, which I admit are older than those at most other AMC theaters, but still better than the regular non-reclining seats found at many other theaters. I had a positive experience while I was at AMC 7 and would definitely return. When you buy tickets, you also reserve your seats. You can buy tickets either on Fandango or through the AMC website. Pro tip: if you sign up for the AMC rewards program you can get your ticket fee waived and pay the same amount you would at the theater. If you opt into the emails, AMC will also send you emails, some of which have deals for concessions. I was able to get a small popcorn and drink for $5! From reading other reviews, I know there are mixed answers about whether or not there is a parking lot. There is a parking lot in between Cecil B. Moore and Oxford Streets, right behind the theater, BUT it is not a free lot. It is $3/hour, regardless of what time you are there. The pay station can be hard to miss if you aren't looking for it. I was a bit skeptical going to this movie theater because of its location and it was rumored to be dirty in the past. Buttttt I decided to give it a try and take my daughter and dad to see Jumanji. It was clean inside! The lines moved fast and the workers seem friendly. Inside the actual theater was clean and the seats were in tact and functioning. This may seem dumb thing to notice and point out but the theater seaters at AMC Marple are horrible! So we got to sit in comfortable seats, eat our snacks and enjoy the movie. Btw there is parking in the back of the theater. It's meter parking. The cost per hour is $3 and the max hours to park there is 3 hours. I will definitely not avoid this theater again. Okay so I came back to this theater to see Bad Boys 3. Let me just say....."Whewwww chile the ghetto the ghetto." I must've went on a good night the first time. This time was a very hot mess. So when god made me he didn't give me the best eye sight but I have a killer nose. The guy next to me smelled soooo damn bad. Like pure dirt! Then I guess he was on percs because main man was going thru it during the entire movie. Like legit twitching and tweaking in his seat. Then one lady sat in another person's seat and the lady got smart. They were ready to fight in the theater. Like it was too much going on in the theater for me. Then when I thought the night couldn't get any worse....AMC Broad Street said hold my beer. A guy that was sitting a few seats down from me comes back to his seat with hella shopping bags, making a bunch of noise. The movie was almost over and the screen went out. Like dead ass didn't come back on. After waiting for 10 mins for them to start the movie back up they announced that the movie will not be coming back on and they're giving each person movie passes. This place is awesome! My friends say it used to be really run down but it's so great now! It's clean and quiet. We watched a movie here on Saturday at 3:30pm and we were able to purchased advanced tickets only a few hours prior and got prime seats. The sears recline fully and it's ideal for couple seating. The armrest doesn't go back fully when you're laying down but it's not too bad. There were only 20 or so seats in our entire theater. Pretty small. It was awesome! I'm excited to come back! Don't come to this movie theatre if you like silence during your movies. Every time I've been here, people talk throughout the movie, no matter whether it's a quiet part or not. That just seems to be the assumption at this place. I asked a man to stop texting and he was in the front row for everyone to see. He told me to get out of his face. Also my drink holder was filled with liquid, as was my friend's drink holder. He put his phone in it and it got soaking wet. This is just a terrible place. This theater was so gross and dirty I showered when I got home. Every surface was sticky, trash all over the ground and every toilet in the bathroom aside from one (out of like 8) were unusable and gross. Went at 9 on a Friday and had to wait for popcorn to be made so missed the beginning of the movie. There was no butter for it we had to ask and some guy went in the back and grabbed a Dixie cup of it. The actual seats were dirty and definitely not clean they grossed me out to sit in. Love it. Recliner seats are super comfortable. Staff very helpful. I wasn't expecting no-one kissing my behind. The girl in the ticket window help me using the app so I can get points. Guys in food kiosk were fast and friendly. Soda machines were ok. Inside the theatre everything clean including my comfy seat. Bathrooms clean. There were some pop corn on the hallways but common it is a movie teather!! I own a Peruvian restaurant in NoLibs and I know some reviews are just hate. And I learn something. "You give what you have..." Came Sunday for last movie. No problem parking on the street, ask police officers they said is ok parking there. Went here for the first time the other night. It's close to our place so figured why not? There isn't parking provided like the reviews say, but there's typically a lot of street parking near their location. The theater itself is nice. The seats inside and theater size are phenomenal (electronically adjustable and 20-30 people max). The downside is the staff and cleanliness. We walked in 20 mins prior to the movie with shit ALL over the floor. Popcorn, buckets, sodas, napkins, literally everywhere. Half the seats were still propped up. I had to physically go ask someone if they were going to clean the theater. I had to wipe butter and popcorn off my girlfriend and I's seats. And this wasn't just after 1 movie, this theater clearly hadn't been cleaned in probably 2 showings. Even a vacuum wouldn't made a world of difference (inside the theater and outside in the hall). Not that this is the theaters fault, but I thought with college kids and older they'd be a tad more mature. But, of course, there's always the one cell phone user who felt the need to answer not 1, but 3 phone calls during the scary movie. Fantastic. Whomever owns this place needs to put a foot up his employee's asses because the theater will go to hell quickly. read more

Just wanted to let the manager know that the theatres were literally freezing. My partner and I had to keep our full winter coats on with hats and gloves. It was extremely distracting and made watching the movie difficult. No one scanned our tickets and we had to find the 3D glasses ourselves and there was a group of kids obviously movie hopping being very loud in the theatre. Time to update the reviews. Renovations are done, and the facilities are beautiful! Its an urban theater so the screens are small, as one would expect, but the comfort offered by the enormous electric recliners more than make up for it. It looks like construction of a full service bar is also complete, though I went to an AM showing of Baby Driver so couldn't say for certain. I see some have complained about getting their cars towed. I can't speak for the quality of the signage as I don't typically drive, but I will say that this is right off of the subway -- so extremely accessible if you are taking SEPTA Impressively, the curtains even opened to conform to the wider aspect ratio once the previews were over! I don't see that too often anymore. I can't say I'm thrilled with AMC buying out local theaters, but in this case it really did revitalize what was once a rundown cinema and transformed it into a place where I will be happy to spend more evenings. read more

Warning!!! Tow Alert. Make sure you walk over to the middle of the parking lot, near the creepy garbage dumpster with a monster waiting for you behind it. That's where kiosk is for parking in that lot. There are no conspicuous signs at the first spaces of parking, at the Oxford street entrance. Immediately, when I walk into the theater. It just had a dingy feel to it. It could be that I had residue of the neighborhood dinginess in my thoughts, and I imposed that image into the theater. No! My feeling and sight were in sync. With the exception of the 2 young ladies at the concession stand and the manager. No other presence of employees were around. That was made evident when we entered the movie theater to see debris from the snacks. I think they just picked up all of the wrappers and left the spilled drinks and treats for any creatures that wants to watch the feature with us. This place is the only movie theater that I know of in North Philadelphia. And even though I know the convenience of that theater is for the Temple university community. Its obivious that the students have the firestick and chill pack in the dorms. And they left this place to whomever wanders in. read more

This theater is a money trap. If you don't see the sign posted in a high, hard to see spot, your car will be towed while you watch your movie. You will have to pay 200 to get your vehicle back. Most expensive movie ever! Easy money for the tow company and your day will be ruined. This is unacceptable behavior, to have a tow company be working hand in hand with the theater to trick customers and get them to spend hundreds of dollars. First theater I have ever been to in my life where I see a police officer inside near the theater rooms, and, seeing her wearing a bullet Proof vest made us question if we were in an unsafe theater. Lotttt of children come here so be prepared to be surrounded by them. There is a parking lot near by. That's good. Our theater was clean. But we had rowdy kids in our theater. I probably wouldn't come here again unless I was a teen. Be prepared to have your bag checked by the officer. Any snacks or food she will make you leave behind, but kind enough to not throw out and you can pick up on your way out. read more
