I have no complaints about this theatre. It was our first visit as I wanted to see Mufasa the Lion King. It was a weekday matinee. Easy parking, accessible entrance, bright clean lobby with two people working concessions. We decided to get one popcorn and soda to share and the girl pointed out there was a special package price for that. Tickets were reasonably priced, food and drink typical for movie theatres these days. They have two of those futuristic soda machines with a million options. We inquired about the portable close caption device because my husband sometimes has trouble hearing dialogue clearly. She went right back and got one, no charge for this. It fits in the cup holder with a flexible gooseneck holding the little screen. This thing worked great! I realized later my husband didn't whisper "what did he say?" even once in a 2-hour movie! Seats were comfortable. Not the most modern recliners, but roomy, good legroom, with cup holders. The theatre sound was excellent, the screen vivid and brilliant. We were given 3D glasses as it was a 3D presentation and that was really mind blowing I must say. When we exited there were two staff members wishing everyone a good day as they waited for the theatre to empty so they could go right in and clean. Speaking of clean, the bathroom was spotless too. All in all we were very happy with this theatre and I'll be back for sure to see Tom Cruise in a few months. read more

We went to see another movie here and the theatre floor was a mess. It was like sitting in an alley, with garbage and a sticky floor. Clean the place after a movie for crying out loud. It was Saturday and the soda fountain was out of coke and diet drinks. The butter station was full of trash and spilled butter. On a Saturday? Expect lines the staff is on some kind of downer and only move at zombie speed. read more

This place has made my friends and my friends mom angry as heck. We drove 30 minutes of icy af roads and my friend broke her tailbone in the parking lot because there was 3 inch thick ice with NO SALT! She had to go to urgent care and miss the movie that we couldn't even see! After the incident, we waited outside the theater and the workers weren't even aware that we were outside the doors because they were too busy listening to music! Finally after 13 minutes and 26 seconds, the manager walked outside and kicked us out of the parking lot. We even explained the monstrosity of the roads and the parking lot AND told them that the previews of the movie started only 15 minutes ago and still told us that we couldn't watch it! The weren't even selling concessions! :/ Wouldn't recommend. read more

The first half hour we were there was a string of religious previews and blatant attempts to push religion down our throats. I'm 72 and I was a frequent flyer with this theatre. No more. For far less money we will watch everything on Netflix and make our own crappy popcorn. If your going to push religion and Far Right views please put it on your website so others can choose whether or not to drop $25 in the collection plate. I'm done with you. Tell Spartan productions to run their films in church not public places. read more

It's a decent theater. It's normally clean and the staff is really nice. I can't complain about the pricing; yeah its pricey to see a 3D movie but hey, a few hours of entertainment is worth it and in the grand scheme of life, it's not that bad. I use my Stubs rewards card every time and it really does pay for itself. For every $100 spent, you get a free $10. I use a lot of Stubs rewards! I've been to other AMC Theatres that are much worse and some that are better with those big, cushy, reclining seats. That'd be nice to have here, but again, I won't complain. It comes down to this; it's our only theater in town. Where else are you going to go without leaving town? read more

Decent place to see a movie. Tons of screens without a lot of people mean you can always get a good seat.

That Theater is the only decent place left to watch a faith based movie. I thank them, as do many others for showing something other that filth. I am offended by nudity, offensive language and violence. Thank you for the decent films available! read more

This is the nastiest theater I've ever been in. The back of the seats are covered in mold. The seats are supposed to be red but they are black. The theaters smells like urine. I hope AMC does a renovation soon. We have completely a stopped visiting this theater. read more

A lot of these reviews make me laugh. I went to the first showing of 1917 last weekend. Everything was clean. I was one of the first in the theatre. I also noticed the bathroom was immaculate. The theatre was clean. When I got out I noticed it was a little dirtier in the bathroom. All of these people that complain should realize that once they get busy, the staff is all helping customers. But I know one thing that would keep the theater clean: If the customers weren't pigs. Clean up after yourselves, don't throw trash and spill stuff on the floor and for goodness sake quit peeing on the seats in the restrooms...and I'm talking about the women's bathroom. I can't imagine the men's. read more

As far as movie theatres in Richmond go, it's the best! It's also the only one, so if winning by default gets awards, this one needs a shiny! The theatre itself is well maintained, clean, and the concessions are tasty (can't blame them for the outlandish overpricing, that's corporate doing what it does best). The only complaint I have is that the volume of the movies themselves are not quite as loud as I'd like them to be. I don't need insane blaring noise, but when I have to pay really close attention to lip-reading during quiet scenes, there's a problem! read more

this place must have gone way downhill since last review or it was a bad day. This is the worse place to view a movie. Dirty, food and drinks spilled on floor, hot very hot like a/c was not on at all. NO senior discounts. I live in Liberty so AMC in Richmond and Showtime in Connersville about same distance from us. Hands downs Showtime wins my place to go, AMC needs to take a look at the Connersville Showtime and try to follow their example read more

I always feel gross after I leave here. It's an older movie theater so the film of spilled soda and candy I don't think will ever come off of the floors and seats. The sound system in a few of the smaller theaters in the back are busted and extremely poppy and annoying. People always complain about the food prices, but what people don't understand is that these places don't make any money off of the movie itself. It's all made on the concessions. That's why it's so ridiculous. Stop complaining and get something so your local theater will stay around. I would appreciate if this place would get a remodeling or just totally revamp of the inside so I would feel better about coming. Otherwise I'll just come when I have to. read more

This theatre is okay. You can get cheaper tickets for matinees. I have never been when it's super crowded so I don't know how well the staff handles that. They have always been pleasant though. Unfortunately, the theatres are pretty gross. My shoes stuck to the floor. Bathrooms were clean! Snack prices are outrageous but that's normal for any theatre. We will keep going back because of the matinee prices though. read more
