The Towne Square Cinema has three screens and always offers an adult and child friendly film. I've been here many times with friends and family and am always pleased with my visit. Oh! In the concession aspect, they offer different popcorn combos and seasonal specials, a variety of candy, dippin dots, pickles, flavored popcorn, and fountain & bottled beverages. Example of a combo would be - 2 medium drinks and a large popcorn (with up to four smaller bags of popcorn on the side) for $11.25 - what a steal. This movie theater also offers private parties (for a great price) where you can watch any of the movies playing, bring in a movie of your own, or even hook up game consoles and play video games on the big screen! Are you ready for this one? You can even host a SLEEPOVER at the cinema. That's right - a sleepover. It was quick, easy, and user friendly. Since we had just left Pappadeaux we bypassed the popcorn and snacks at the concession stand. But we did opt for slushies and the gentleman at the counter did a GREAT JOB with his sales tactics to upgrade us from a small slushie, which is what we intended to order, to ordering the reusable slushie cup that changes colors. Movie theater and bathrooms were clean, except one of the arms of our recliner had melted butter all over it from the previous movie goer. The seats are old school, and not horribly uncomfortable but also not amazing leather recliners and loveseats like so many theaters have these days. Walking into this theater and sitting down is like being transported to 2003, which can be fun in its own right. The colors are vibrant, the theater design is liminal and old-school. I actually really like the vibes here. I just wonder why Regal doesn't seem interested in upgrading this theater. It has PRIME real estate, in a rich population high-traffic area. It would make a splash if Regal bought some new reclining chairs and gave the place a good cleaning and makeover, and lowered their concession prices by 25%-30%. Look, I get why attractions in general charge more for concessions, but these prices are hilariously bad. Lowering the prices would result in higher profits because more people would buy more items. It's a no-brainer. The video and audio quality is superb, which is ironic considering the state of the rest of the theater. Probably the best part of the experience is if you see an older or less popular movie, you are likely to have the whole theater to yourself! It's a very fun experience to see a movie on a huge screen with no one else around. Good for the customer, very, very bad for Regal. They need to upgrade the theater or sell to Cinemark or AMC at this point.

So we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited as another 20 or so people joined us or sat in their cars waiting. Several of us tried to call the theater and didn't even get a recorded message. Some called headquarters in Texas and of course all they could do was look into the matter. Quite a few of us had driven from other towns and would not be able to return for a showing later in the day. I suggest that when they are going to cancel a showing, they at least leave a message on their main number in Piqua and have someone post a sign on the outer doors so people don't just stand there feeling angry or frustrated because the WANT to see that movie. The manager didn't do 1 thing but again just look confused. She could have walked them in like other theaters do. I mean DO NOT GO TO THIS THEATER. The amount of fights that are happening then they will use your A list member. I was the only one they had a name of. So I have horrific footage of it all. Which I will be posting on Reddit. Because people taking Children here. Think twice they will NOT PROTECT YOU THERE. I have seen so much in these last 4 months. Me & my partner & mother took a 3 week break. Hoping AMC would protect the people coming. Fights are happening 5 to 10 times a week. & it will only get worse & worse. You sadly can't trust AMC to protect you or your kids. Some of these people fighting is all they know. & if AMC did walk through this would happen far less. Called 5 different theaters & all of them do Walk throughs!
