I would have liked to have a seat not sitting next to someone, given that the theatre was empty and full of seats, but these were the only options that were given when we paid for our tickets (kinds thought that was weird?). That would be the reason for the 4-stars. We didn't get concessions but they do have the freestyle Coke machines so that's a plus! Thanks to Yelp, I'll check out movies on Tuesday night for just $5! Talking very loud like a film has not been playing. Just adults who don't know how to act in a theater. I have been threatened many times. My last time I filled AMC on everything in corporate. But they are only using AI now. I was going to try to get the manager someone cause the whole theater was screaming at kids who walked in 40 min into obsession. All of them high and everyone started yelling at them. I left and got body checked then threatened the whole way out to beat my a** and calling me gay hate names. The manager didn't do 1 thing but again just look confused. She could have walked them in like other theaters do. I mean DO NOT GO TO THIS THEATER. The amount of fights that are happening then they will use your A list member. I was the only one they had a name of. So I have horrific footage of it all. Which I will be posting on Reddit. Because people taking Children here. Think twice they will NOT PROTECT YOU THERE. I have seen so much in these last 4 months. Me & my partner & mother took a 3 week break. Hoping AMC would protect the people coming. Fights are happening 5 to 10 times a week. & it will only get worse & worse. You sadly can't trust AMC to protect you or your kids. Some of these people fighting is all they know. & if AMC did walk through this would happen far less. Called 5 different theaters & all of them do Walk throughs! Don't let film be ruined for you here. Just go Emagine Theater or Regal or the best DraftHouse. They have someone outside each theater. & if your late your not aloud in. That's sadly what has to happen because AMC only cares about trying to survive before they go completely bankrupt. But these smaller theaters Make Sure this does not happen. It's incredible the amount of people I have talked to who have told me insane stories about AMC Muncie. The theater is gone now Don't waste your time or energy. Always have had good experiences with staff who are friendly. Also, I got a bucket of popcorn early in the year, and now come here just to get (cheap) refills on the popcorn to take home. Yum!!

We are not always sophisticated people, but we are excellent at pretending. We started at the bar, which looks the part completely. Elegant, well stocked, the kind of bar that makes you feel like you should be wearing something nicer than what you showed up in. I ordered an old fashioned, at which point the gentleman behind the bar admitted, with full transparency, that he was not actually the bartender and would need to Google how to make it. I genuinely appreciated the honesty. In a galaxy full of people who would have just guessed and handed me something terrible, this man chose truth. I thanked him, switched my order to whiskey and coke, and we moved on as allies. From there we headed to concessions and ordered the Take it to the Greek wrap, the La Bamba pizza, and fries with little bits of steak on top. The food was good. Not life altering, not the kind of meal that makes you grab someone's arm and say nothing, just nodding, but genuinely solid movie theater food that arrived at our seats without us having to do anything except recline and wait. The seats reclined. There were actual tables. This is civilized. We watched Disclosure Day, which if you have any interest in extraterrestrial or UFO subject matter is absolutely worth your time. Sitting in a reclining leather seat watching a film about potential contact with beings from other worlds felt appropriately cinematic, even if the leather on most seats has seen better days. Chipping and worn in spots, which is the one visible crack in an otherwise well maintained experience. The theater itself was clean, the concept is fantastic, and the overall vibe delivered exactly what a day date calls for. Four stars. The bar needs an actual bartender on deck and the seats could use some attention, but Living Room Theater is still one of the better ways to spend an afternoon in Indianapolis.

We bought our tickets online ahead of time, and when we got there I ordered the garlic cheesy bread and a drink at the counter. Total was around $15. The seats were really comfy and spacious, which made the whole experience feel worth it. The food came out pretty fast. The garlic cheesy bread was probably like a 5/10 for me... not terrible, but I probably wouldn't order it again. Overall though, really nice theater and I'd definitely come back for another movie night.

The first movie started around 9, as the sun went down. By the time for the second movie it was almost midnight so we left, but if you can stay up late it's a great deal to stay and watch two! If you choose to turn your car off, make sure to bring an actual radio to tune in with. None of the apps have the specific station and you won't be able to hear much from your neighbor's car. It was a beautiful place to watch the sunset and once it's dark you can see lots of stars. I would recommend sitting in a car or on chairs because it is all gravel and it's harder to find a window to watch if you're on the ground. There are concessions and restrooms in the middle. You pay per person in the car for entry and if you bring your own snacks you're supposed to pay.

Actually, I'm not entirely sure that it has cooling, but the button switches from red (heated) to blue (not heated). They recline really far back but still allow ample space for others to pass by without you needing to shift your position very much. I was disappointed that the concessions menu is not shown on their website. They give a brief description of the type of things that they offer, but not the full menu or pricing. At the concession stand, you can order and receive certain items immediately (such as candy, popcorn, hot dogs, classic nachos and drinks) but other items (like pizza and the ultimate nachos) will be delivered to your seats. There is also a full bar with an option to order a drink for now and one for later that will be delivered to your seat at a later time. That's pretty cool. In the lobby area, there is a player piano, photo booth and claw machine that dispenses rubber ducks (like the ones that Jeep drivers exchange). The drink area is where you will find condiments, napkins and straws. They have sodas and slushies. They also have lap trays that you can place into the cup holders of your seats for your food orders. They sit kind of high, but it's better than not having any type of tray or table. The cuddle seats are cute little love seats with an ottoman, but they are positioned on the first row (being the least desirable seats in the theater). I tested one out and you would basically need to lay down the entire time in order to see the screen. I didn't reserve those on either visit, but if you bring a blanket and your boo, that could be nice. The hot dog that I ordered was spicy. I wasn't expecting that, but maybe I should've known based on the name listed on the menu. I just wasn't "in the know". The popcorn is freshly popped. We weren't huge fans of the pizza though. It could benefit from being baked a bit longer. Surround sound is good. Lighting/contrast was good. In my opinion, it was a little warm in the theater, which drew my attention to two tiny ceiling fans located on either side of the theater. I'm not sure what their purpose is because they couldn't possibly be there to cool that huge theater. If you run hot, bring a personal fan!

These features include Cereal Cinema, a monthly special screening held at Newfields on a Saturday morning at 10am that offers a cereal buffet (coffee is available for purchase for the tired adults). Cereal Cinema targets the family market. For example, this year's films include Night at the Museum (April), Madagascar (May), The Neverending Story (July), Homeward Bound (August) and the list goes on. This is always a reasonably priced good time for the entire family. While accessibility at Newfields isn't quite 100%, it's surprisingly good and wheelchair users like myself can easily attend Cereal Cinema. The cereals are usually a variety - including gluten-free options. Indy Film Fest is still an entirely volunteer-run film festival. It's amazing what they accomplish, and it's a guaranteed good time for the entire family. I definitely recommend Cereal Cinema for families. It's one of Indy's true gems and a best kept secret. You'll have fun and the kids will be happy. Win/Win.
