This is my go to movie spot in the South Bay area. I am an AMC A-lister member and I usually go to this place because of the surrounding restaurants and bars in the area. If your movie doesn't start for another hour or two. There are plenty of restaurants nearby you can chill to kill some time. Very cool that I can have some drinks then go upstairs when my movie is ready. I went here on a Thursday to see Mortal Kombat 2. The place is Clean and welcoming. The concession stand is large with multiple cashiers ready to take your order. This place has 2 Imax theaters. They are nice. The only dissapointing thing about this AMC theater is the inconsistency of stadium seating. If I am not mistaken, some auditoriums has stadium seating and some does not. Kind of like a Hybrid theater. Overall this place is cool. Within the heart of Del Amo Mall. Thursdays is my best time. It gets packed on the weekends. read more

Went to see the Michael Jackson movie "Michael" at Del Amo. Thanks to T-Mobile and Atom Tickets, my wife and I were able to see it in IMAX for only $5! Fantastic deal. If you are a Michael Jackson fan, IMAX is the ONLY way to see this film. The mix on the soundtrack of this film is superb and only IMAX will do justice to Jaafar Jackson's performance dancing like uncle Michael. Incredible. I know MJ's life was controversial but strictly as a performer and writer, his genius cannot be denied. The theatre experience was all that I could ask for. Projection and sound system were flawless. Staff was helpful. Concessions were a bit skimpy on the reduced size large popcorn since my last visit not that long ago though. Restrooms were clean and well stocked overall. We went this past weekend to see the Michael Jackson movie, and wow WOW wow it was incredible. I honestly could watch it over and over again, lol. We always choose the Dolby Cinema when we come here because it just makes the whole experience better. The recliner seats are super spacious and comfortable, and I love that you're not crammed next to people, it gives you room to actually relax and enjoy the movie! This AMC has definitely become our go-to theater for many years. The food is always on point, the staff is friendly, and every time we've gone, it hasn't been overly crowded which I really appreciate. I still remember the days when going to the movies meant long lines just to get in and even longer ones for snacks, so this is a nice change. Best popcorn ever !!! AMC has the best popcorn. It does not compare to other movie theaters. Del Amo 18 is great. They do need to monitor the YAPPERS while movies play. I know that must be hard but no one WANTS to get out their seat to miss any more of the movie after they can't hear or watch the movie while the yapper just keeps talking This is not by fault of the theater but my goodness, some people do NOT belong at the theater. And staff should keep a look out for these types of movie ruiners AMC was exceptionally clean. The staff was nice. The website app was not working and had to pay inside. This was quick. We had the XL theater. It was clean. Sound was crisp. Movie was great. Lots of food options. read more

With all the streaming apps we have nowadays, cheaper priced huge televisions and surround sound speakers, and how COVID changed a lot of stuff in this world we live in, I thought at one point that moviehouses will not survive. My husband and I started once again watching movies on the big screen. It's been probably more than 3 years or so since the last movie on the big screen. Anyway, we enjoyed the not really crowded AMC moviehouse and the we get the same seats each time (also the senior discount). This AMC theater was clean and no funky smell of the moviehouses long ago...and the sticky floors. Although the concession prices are waaaaayyyyyyy crazy now, that popcorn smell could just be irresistible as the fizz of the sodas! Ever since getting the A-List movie pass, I've been on a movie crazy for the last few months in 2025 and nearby I have no IMAX screen. One of the closest ones is at Del Amo so I had to check it out. Personally, the only difference between a normal screen and IMAX is that the screen is just insanely bigger. Am I missing something? But overall watching F1 for the second time and in IMAX here was very fulfilling and was a great experience. Seats were good and enjoyed the huge screen. The concession stand was pretty busy here and I found out with the AMC pass you can use the Gold line to order so it's like a fast pass. read more

AMC Del Amo 18 is one of my go-to spots for catching new releases. The location inside the Del Amo Fashion Center makes it convenient to find parking - there's so much parking. The theater itself is pretty clean, and the seats are comfortable, especially in the Dolby and Prime rooms. If you haven't tried Dolby Cinema here, do it--it's worth the extra few bucks for the sound and picture quality. A good AMC with a really cool facade. It kind of punctuates the Del Amo mall and feels pretty huge when you see it. The AMC itself is about what you expect inside, and looks they like basically all do. My only gripe with this one is that the theater we saw the movie in had really old seats, and they weren't as comfortable as the AMC's I'm used to in Burbank. Maybe some of the other theaters here have those reclining seats like the Burbank AMCs but for the movie we saw, the seats felt like they were pretty tight together and not super comfy. * I've frequented the Torrance Del Amo AMC for many years now & found it to be the best cinema in the area. * Their big screen presentations are excellent & the seats are cushy & very comfortable. * Most recently their menu has expanded significantly & my favorite are the pretzel bits with the warm melted cheese dip. * The parking was generally good, but more recently become tighter as the rear lot across from the cinema has been blocked off. * But the environment & service is still very good there & the outdoor mall access is an added bonus. read more

By far the cleanest AMC theaters and friendliest staff yet. My local location can't even compare to this one. Plenty of free parking next to the theater and if you arrive too early for your movie, there are plenty of stores and restaurants to wait at until it starts. From the lobby, to the restrooms, to the theater itself is extremely well maintained, barely a single piece of trash to be found lying around. They offer IMAX screenings which is neat. Only things I wished they had are reclining seats and hot popcorn. Unfortunately my popcorn is cold, although still pretty good. read more

Attended the opening night of MI: Final Reckoning with reserved seats in the Dolby Theatre. Not a good experience. When we walked into the auditorium the cleaning crew asked us to wait outside until they finished. Fine, I like a clean theatre. When we entered and went to our seats our immediate reaction was did they really clean up!? $28 per for reclining leather seats and, as we walked down the strong row we saw seat after seat covered in popcorn and (likely butter) on the seat rests. Our seats had popcorn embedded everywhere. The seat recline buttons were covered in oil or butter. It was disgustingly. I saw several patrons near us going to the restroom and returning with wet paper towels to clean their seats. We did the same. A few patrons could be heard saying "Don't touch that (profanity). When the previews began the temperature in the auditorium was very warm. I'd estimate the high 70's or even 80. The folks next to us went out to complain but nothing was done. It was so hot the overwhelming BO aroma became very unpleasant. The picture and sound was great but the e felt trapped like in a hot locker room. The price of tickets has gone sky high and the customer experience has gone downhill. I know they have expenses to pay but they need to keep their theaters in better condition. Imagine putting your hands on a sticky oil covered arm rest. Next time I'll remember to bring cleaning supplies with me as I have no expectation of an improved experience. read more

All time worst theatre to go to if you're wanting to see a movie on opening weekend & you want food. I pre-ordered twice & each time I missed the beginning of the film because my food was ready 30 minutes after it's assigned time. The Uber or DoorDash orders around me seemed to move faster than their own in-app food. Never again! read more

Snatched the box away from her and closed the box to prevent her from getting the item she needed. I like this place! It has the downside that all theatres have, it's too expensive. Compare going to the movies with a Netflix subscription and make it make sense. Wish they would do more to build community amongst their A-List members, because meeting strangers or people watching is one of the few advantages AMC has over streaming. I can't remember the last time I saw a movie in a theater. I had never been to this theater before. It wasn't crowded during the discounted matinee show. Tickets were $13.19 and you buy tickets at the kiosks or buy advance tickets online. The lobby, theater, and restroom were clean. The workers were nice and polite. This is a good place to see a movie because you can eat at one of the many mall restaurants afterwards. read more

This is not my favorite location, simply because it's at one of the biggest shopping centers in the area, and yet it's one of the least luxurious locations I've ever been to. It seems that they avoid upgrading at all costs. The best time to do an upgrade would've been during the pandemic when everything was shut down.They still don't have a bar, and many of the theaters don't have reclining seats. read more

Another great movie premiere with #primepremiere to be released Feb 9 with Amazon Prime. This is the 5th premiere I have attended. Up to 2 tickets you can reserved and you get free popcorn and soft drink too. First time seeing a movie in Del Amo mall...good overall experience. It's been a while since a first run movie has caught our eye (Dune Part 2), so we haven't been to a theater in a while. So when an invitation to see a free movie to preview popped up, and it was to a theater that had free parking, we submitted our RSVP. It's a similar set-up as the other times, where you come about 2 hours before the start time to guarantee a spot. You are then allowed inside the theater about an hour beforehand. Every seat in the theater was full, and it definitely added to the enjoyment of the film. As for the complex itself, it is located on the NE corner of this huge mall. The particular theater that was chosen is older so no recliners, full service, or theater level seating...but it is able to hold quite a few people. We used the multi-level parking garage that is connected to the mall. Since we came so early, we got a decent parking spot on the same level as the theaters. However, once the movie was over, it was late enough to have the outside doors to the mall be closed. Thus we had to find a different way to the parking garage from the outside (taking a flight of stairs). Very important at this mall to remember where you parked your car. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the treatment my children and I received during our visit on Christmas Eve. While shopping in the mall prior to our movie, we purchased drinks and entered the theater just like many other customers. I watched numerous people many of them younger walk in with bags, food, and drinks without being stopped or questioned. However, my children and I were singled out by two young employees and told our drinks were not allowed and had to be transferred into AMC cups. When I calmly asked why this rule wasn't being applied to others, I was told there was a "no outside food or drink" policy. I made it clear I didn't have an issue with the policy itself only the selective and inconsistent enforcement. I purchased my tickets online, and nowhere during checkout did it state that outside food or drinks were not allowed. Both employees claimed it was listed online, yet couldn't show me where. When you walk in to scan your ticket, pointed to sign or notice explaining this policy yet small and no where before you enter the building. How are customers supposed to know especially when this theater is located inside a mall where food and drinks are sold everywhere? You want customers to spend money at concessions, but the prices are ridiculously expensive, and even the discounts barely help. What really made this situation unacceptable was the lack of respect, professionalism, and accountability from the younger staff. When I asked for clarification and requested their names, I was told to "calm down," which is completely inappropriate. Both employees initially refused to give their names. As I walked away, one of them actually yelled "BYE" at me. That alone shows how lost this generation is when it comes to respect and basic customer service. After that, one employee claimed his name was Joshua, while my daughter was told a different name, Vincent, which raises serious concerns about honesty and accountability. The employee in the gray shirt then went to the back, laughing and talking to coworkers like this was some kind of joke. If the goal was to create a scene and get a laugh, congratulations you got one. Take a bow. This situation escalated not because of the policy, but because of the immaturity, poor communication, and lack of training of the staff involved. My own kids are mature than these "gentleman." I normally don't have issues when I go out, but this experience made it clear that giving anyone a job without proper training, customer service skills, or respect for people does not belong in this field. There needs to be stronger supervision, better training, and higher standards for younger employees. Basic things like respect, consistency, and transparency were completely missing. read more

This theater has been here forever. It's huge has lots of screens and the consession are great. Of course all of the food, drinks, and snacks are so expensive. So think about becoming a AMC member to enjoy discounted prices and promotions. The theater is clean and the bathrooms are too. It does get very busy, so come prepared and early. read more

I brought my students here for a field trip. It's located in Torrance inside the Del Amo Fashion Center. It's near the PF Changs. We saw Garfield The Movie. The inside of theater was updated with the most comfortable seats. The restrooms are clean. You can recline in a nice comfy seat and enjoy the film. I don't live near this theater so I won't be back soon but I do recommend this theater. Great place for a dinner and a movie. read more

Nice place to watch a movie if you're a moviegoer. AMC Del Amo 18 offers IMAX and 70 mm. I watched Oppenheimer which was perfect to watch in 70mm. Clean theater with okay seating. The seats will go back some but it's no recliner-style seats here. Popcorn was one of my biggest highlights, when you purchase a Large bag for $10 you can get a refill which I love. Parking is extremely easy to find just park in the garage or across the street. This is my second time here and it's one of my favorite places to watch a movie in the South Bay area. read more

I get to the doors at 10:45 and they're all locked. I knock on the door so that the employees see me and they looked at me and ignoring me, and then I called the service number and they just let the phone ring really disappointed because I go to this one all the time read more

My visit here Thursday night 5/4/23 was only the second time I've been to this location. The theater for our movie (Guardians Of the Galaxy 3) was clean, and the rows and chair numbers were easily visible so we could find our seats. The concession area was clean, and we all got our snacks with no issues. Parking is easy to find with the adjacent parking structure, so no problem there. I was excited to see the Michael Jackson movie on April 26th, 2026, at the 9:30 p.m. showing. Upon arriving at 9:00 p.m., I presented my ticket to the ticket attendant, who abruptly snatched it from my hand, ripped it, and shoved the other one back into my hand, stating that I was too early and needed to return in twenty minutes. I then proceeded to the concession stand to order movie snacks. The attendant was saying 'next' to everyone, but failed to acknowledge me. After inquiring if he could take my order, he responded with a dismissive tone, 'I guess yeah, next.' We placed our order, but unfortunately, there was no fresh popcorn available. We waited ten minutes for a fresh batch, only to have the attendant attempt to give us popcorn that had been sitting under the light. As we attempted to enter the theater at 9:17 p.m., the cleaning staff was still present, and the attendant yelled at us, displaying a rude attitude, stating 'What are you doing? Can't you see we're still cleaning up?' I chose not to respond and instead waited patiently. Why was the service so subpar? read more

I went to see the matinee of Wicked, opening day. I went to purchase a ticket at the kiosk, which was the only option. Went through all the steps and the machine wouldn't print. Approached the one person available and she said she'd get someone. Someone else finally came, she messed around with the machine and proclaimed it broken. She wrote my seat number on a piece of paper. Senior citizen tickets are $18. Wow! Then I was told my movie was in the IMAX theater. Did I pay for that? Theater 1 is nice and clean. I sit and arrange my accoutrements and then realize, THE SEATS DO NOT RECLINE!!!! I thought all movie seats reclined for $18! The movie was great, the theater was mid at best. read more

Of the many visits at this location this was the worst.. and even after seeing other Reviews about ID Verification Issues, I'll continue to add mine. Forgot mine on accident, but have my DL on my Fone (not by Picture, but the Official CA DL via iPhone, includes Picture/Name).. which wasn't acceptable to the Ticket Drop. Fine.. I go get my ID, show it to them and it was that simple to walk in. Mind you, I was wearing a Mask the entire time.. so what is the need for an ID Verification if you just used it for the Name to match the Stubs Account?! I could've shown you either my Fone with DL on it or even just a Debit Card for the Name Verification. So aside from realizing that there is no true structure to this process. As I'm going to my theater to watch it, turns out they're not even done cleaning it. Still have to wait to enter, so I place a Mobile App Order for Food, set the pickup Time and everything. Never received a confirmation Text that my Order was ready, waited 15 more minutes outside the Theater and no notice of me waiting for my Order. Instead of wasting my time trying to deal with their Employees who are lacking in Customer Service, I go into my Movie 20 mins late with hopes to get a Refund for my Order. Come to out the App/Company Website won't allow that after the Movie Time. To think that being a AList Member was to come with a better experience.. right now it's not feeling that way. read more

Definitely one of my favorite movie theaters to go to! Plus it's close to home too and very convenient. Really spacious and located outside of Del Amo Mall right next to Urban Outfitters. Parking is super easy as you can either park in the lot across and walk over or in the structure behind it and walk but if you come here during movies premieres/evenings, it does get windy and cold walking that way. Service is good and they are pretty attentive to AMC stubs members especially if you have an AMC Stubs Premiere account, which helps with skipping the normal lines (priority lines for A*List & Premiere). Affordable for the whole year (under $20) and very beneficial as it has free size upgrades for popcorn and fountain drinks, free WiFi, waived online ticketing fees and discount Tuesdays. I just really like this location because it's at the mall and you can shop & grab food before and/or after the movie. Plus, they have IMAX and Dolby (unfortunately Dolby featured is the only theater with reclining seats). read more
