I am glad that there are several parking spots within walking distance, however the pay for parking is a turn off to coming to this location. When I walked in I was greeted by a ticket lady who directed me to the movie room. She re-directed my friend whom arrived after me as well which I appreciated. The layout of the movie theater is easy, the first floor you are checked in and the stairs lead up to the concession stand, bathrooms and movie screening rooms. We had the movie theater to ourselves, the red recliner seats were comfortable and the noise level wasn't overwhelming. The only odd thing was there was a black film covering the top portion of the screen. My friend and I enjoyed seeing Moana 2 and having the movie theater to ourselves. I order my tickets online and am hit with service charge of $10 worth of convenience fees on top of my ticket prices. $58 for a family of 4 is criminal. $75 for concessions and I have to go upstairs then all the way back downstairs either my young kids. Then the theater is absolutely disgusting. And $15 to park downtown. $148 to take my family to a meh movie. This place is in the heart of Downtown Fort Worth and the Glass/plastic partition is in front of every row of seats, ruining the view and experience. We ordered Popcorn, and they fill the bucket to the rim and you then you go to "the butter station" and ask for salt. Cinemark fills the bucket half way adds butter, applies salt upon request and then repeats when full. Stick with Cinemark! read more

Came here to watch avatar 3-D with my family on New Year's Eve. Parking is down the street around the corner. Staff seemed nice. The building split up in a couple different areas. Concession stands are on the second floor but our movie was on the first floor there is an elevator for those who can't do steps that well. Bathrooms are clean. Popcorn area. Was very sticky and almost like glue. The movie was great. The effects and sound of avatar was awesome. We enjoyed ourselves. The movie wasn't very crowded and there were events all over Dallas, which probably also kept people occupied. All in all a size getting stuck to the floor is at the soda and popcorn butter station. The seats do not have heaters on and the movie theater with the chili. I made one bring a jacket. When you walk in it looks a bit empty. Just FYI. read more

Although the AMC Eastchase theater will always be my primary theater, I love coming to this location when I come to downtown Fort Worth. It is conveniently located in the middle of downtown so you can easily go see a movie after a nice dinner or evening in Sundance Square. The building has different levels to it. The main level is in the middle where you get your tickets and the bar is located. I ordered moscato wine with a bit of cranberry juice and it came out to just under $10 (yikes), but what can you expect? A soda is like $6 at the movies, so that wasn't a surprise. Anyway, the floors above and below the main level are where the theaters are located. The concession stand is on the third floor along with some of the theaters. Bathrooms are clean and seats in the theaters are to be reserved either ahead of time online or when you arrive. Also, if you weren't already aware, check out AMC's new "A-List" membership which enables you to see up to 3 movies a WEEK, including 3D and IMAX films for $20 a month. Pretty sweet deal if you ask me. I use it all the time and it can be used nationwide at any AMC theater. read more

Seats in need of repair, bathrooms could definitely be cleaner, not all drink machines working, but the actual movie played perfectly and the sound was great. The young adults working at the concession stand were clearly overworked and needed a manager on site helping them out. read more

My current experience with AMC sucked pretty much across the board, culminating in the worse movie-going (or not) experience in my long life. After navigating the absolute worst online purchase website I've ever used, including never getting a password reset email after numerous tries when told I already had an account setup for my email (and I knew I did), I finally ordered as a guest and missed out on the actual seats I wanted due to the longer than needed delay. Then we get to this particular theater and there is one door open with a line out to the street. Nothing indicating that we can bypass the line and "show the QR code to any ticket taker" like the email stated. Once we get to the ticket window after a very long wait past our movie start time, the woman informs us that our movie has been cancelled. She claims I should have been notified via email. Ummm... since I wasn't notified via email about my password reset it's highly unlikely AMC will tell me when my movie is cancelled. And no sign posted anywhere while waiting in line??????? And yea, I checked my junk folder. They texted me my QR code but they can't text me to let me know a movie was cancelled??????? Then the refund they gave was minus the service charge. She said I needed to call to request a refund of the service charge. I had already looked for a phone number on the AMC website to call about my password. If a phone number contact exists it's more difficult to find than Jimmy Hoffa's body. I was trying as much as possible to be nice to the ticket agent who unfortunately works for this horrible company. I know it is not her fault. Others are probably not able to control themselves as much as I, and I feel sorry for the poor AMC workers they are on the front line dealing with this incompetence. Thanks, AMC, for totally ruining my Saturday. I'll stick with the other theaters I regularly go to where I never experience this ineptness. read more

What used to be a great theater to go to has really gone downhill. We recently ventured out to see a movie on the big screen instead of on our tv. I bought the tickets online we drove over to see our show. The good. Parking afterhours in the garage is still free, just make sure you get your ticket from the machine when you enter and have it validated just in case. If you don't have the ticket you will have to pay $20 for parking even during the free times. The bad. The theater was a dump. The floors were dirty, the bathroom was dirty. The escalators were broken and from the temperature it seemed the AC was on the fritz as well. The seats while being the recliners were old, ratty, and had parts missing. The glass pony wall was covered in smudges and encroached on the bottom part of the screen and was distracting. It also looked like the theater itself hadn't been cleaned in between shows. Unless the place undergoes a full remodel I doubt I'll return to this location. read more

This review has nothing to do with AMC or the film viewed just the establishment itself. The place has staff that doesn't care too much. The concession is frequently messy. The restrooms could use some attention. And importantly the seats need to be reupholstered; they have holes and torn spots. A better maintained theater would feel more inviting. read more

One word. ROACHES. Went here Thursday night to watch a hot movie was wondering why there was so many showings available when everywhere was sold out and now I know why. When you walk in it's empty and dark. I went downstairs to watch my movie and the whole lobby smelled like a dirty restroom. Then I went to the actual bathroom and there was a huge roach dead in the middle of the bathroom. Already disgusted I went back watched the movie, then when it was over the roach was STILL THERE! The movie was about the only thing that we enjoyed. The popcorn was old stall and not even filled up for the purchase of the bucket. The recliner seats where sticky and stuck to the back of our legs but not the worst part. The absolute worst thing is sweating and having to take off shirt because it's so hot in the theater. Pros: Those reclining seats! They're comfortable and feel like a treat. Good sound quality and decent screens. Cons: Our theater wasn't cleaned very well and our drinks weren't very good, I'd probably stick with beer next time. Narrow walkways so if you need a restroom consider sitting on an aisle. Overall is say it shakes out to an average movie experience and ticket prices are fair and the parking garage is nearby. We went on a Friday night and it was free. read more

Sad to see homeless people passed out on the ground near the entrance of this once clean and refurbished theater- even sadder when I take the kiddoes to see Haunted mansion at 3:45pm and another man passed out in row behind my family snoring so loud we could even hear the movie - I am sad for these people - but I won't take my family there anymore. I've seen movies here for a couple decades. Not regularly since it's downtown, but enough that I'm pretty familiar. This will always feel like a classic movie theater to me.. it makes me nostalgic. The old building and neon lights and brightly colored patterned carpet. You go up the stairs to the concession stand (bar is downstairs) and spend too much money on popcorn and candy and coke. They have those drink machines where all ten thousand flavors come out of one spout, which always wigs me out, but it's all good. The best part is the recliners! When I first saw them I was so happy -- I wasn't sure this old theater would go modern and let you pretty much lie all the way down during a film. Hard to stay awake during a late night movie in these things... they're so so cozy. Nice screens and sound quality. A solid theater and Sundance Square staple. read more

Honestly the worst concession staff ever. The third floor is always dirty. ALWAYS. come to a 9:30pm + showtime and they have NO HOT FOOD. I ask why and they said kitchen is closed. They basically just want to leave as soon as possible so they clean up way too early. I don't get it!! The worst part is that this theater is not ANY cheaper at night. I asked for management and a girl just told me her name was Jasmine. Worst management ever if this team is getting away with this for our visits. We prefer to drive to Clearfork AMC just to avoid this mess. You should do the same! Theater is way cleaner, staff is always friendly and no lie, the tickets are sometimes even more affordable. Reclining chairs. Do I really need to say more? Okay, I guess I do have to say more since Yelp is making me lol. Came here to see Moana and it's in The Sundance Square so it's surrounded by lights and other shops and a Cheesecake Factory pretty close by! The cinema itself is like any other. Snacks, freestyle soda machine... but comfy reclining chairs!! I used my boyfriend's jacket as a blanket and snuggled up, it's almost like watching a movie at home if you had a huge big screen but you know... with other people. Still you're able to get comfy on a date night and not have to sit in awkward hard chairs that make your butt fall asleep by the time the movie is over, so that's nice! read more

Horrible customer interaction. Came to see a rated R movie, while I'm 22 with a 26 hear old boyfriend. I was immediately asked if I have an ID, birth certificate, or passport. As if I'm trying to rent a car. I told her I have a picture of my ID on my phone, and the wideset woman attending us basically went on rambling gibberish in a childish way trying to act if I was the stupid one. When I called later to speak to the manager she answered and asked why we need to speak to the manager to report her rude behavior. When we asked if that mattered she asked for our name. We continued to ask for a manager and she just laughed and put us through to the manager. Also, went to ask for pizza on the menu.... didn't have it. Went on to ask for chicken nuggets and they were out. It's almost as if they don't clean after each viewing because we went in and there were still napkins and trash. I have lived downtown for a year now and the escalators have been broken the entire time... so when watching a movie on the basement floor and you want wine, you must climb a flight of stairs to the bar, and then if you want heaven forbid, food or popcorn, you must climb three flights of stairs if you are watching a film on the basement floor. This needs to be fixed. I don't know if their budget hasn't been able to cover it or what... UNACCEPTABLE. read more
