The show was hilarious. The venue has a 2 item minimum, which is cool, but if that's the case, the food they serve should be hot & fresh. We ordered wings and fries, and it took at least fifteen to twenty minutes before our food arrived. All for it to be lukewarm, so we asked our server Aden for fresh food. He returned six minutes later with fries that had been redropped and another order of lukewarm wings. Roni's pick 5.26.24

Really great date night option. The waitstaff is efficient and there are plenty of drink options to choose from. The best part is obviously the comedy. I can't remember the name of the headliner, but I do remember laughing the entire time. Sometimes there were people in the audience that tried to be funny, but the comedian worked with it and always got the show back on track. There is a two item minimum per person, so order a couple drinks and enjoy

They take your card at the start of the show and then drop a check to sign at the end with no notification of the auto gratuity!

Basically if you want to see stand up comedy in Fort Worth, this is your only choice and the go-to for years. However, they are dishonest when it comes to the final check at the end of the show. They take your credit card at the start of the show to "have it." Same when you go to movie theaters that serve food. They then drop the check off at the end of the show with your card ran. What they don't tell you is that they charge an automatic 15% gratuity on your check. They just drop an unitemized "sign me" receipt with a tip line. I asked for the itemized because the waitress was terrible and forgot to bring me a bottle of Mich Ultra after 30 minutes. I wanted to make sure I wasn't charged but an unwelcome addition to my check was made with the auto-gratuity. Waitresses run 10+ tables to make their money but it kills the service. Management doesn't appear to help or run drinks/food. Typical of lazy managers. I worked in the service industry and know how it is and whats happening here. In any case. Scum bag move by dropping a run card receipt without an itemized and / or letting guests know you "automatically" charge gratuity. I'm sure this isn't even legal. I added pics of the check that was dropped and then the itemized. They should change what their "policy" states: Two item purchase minimum required PLUS we add a standard 15% gratuity to all checks.

Always enjoy the comics here. The place automatically hits you with a 15% gratuity, so be careful and do not double tip. The waitresses will try and hid this auto tip from you by not giving you a itemized receipt. Normally you get no receipt at all so you have to specifically ask. It you don't say the word "itemized" you only get a non-itemized receipt and of course it won't show the auto tip. This is an underhanded way to do business.

This is a cool venue and it's HUGE! From the outside it looks tiny, but it's giant! It's got pool, a juke box, several stages! Photo opps and all kinds of quirky fun things! We came for a free show on Thursday! (Most Thursdays are free shows btw!) and it was fun! They have a two item minimum. But we had intended on getting drinks anyways. It lost a star for me because they only had one waitress. ONE! For the entire show. I felt soooo bad for her! She was working her tail off and gave us the wrong drink once, (still drank it tho), but God Bless her. She was hustling! Definitely worth no cover charge! Check it out on a Thursday:)

I visited this comedy club last weekend to see Tim Dillon. The show was wonderful, and I had lots of fun. The only reason for the 2 star review is that I don't think enough precautions are being taken at this place. Although staff members are wearing masks, mask wearing is not enforced indoors. Additionally, while they tried to keep parties separated, the room appeared to be packed. Perhaps this was because of the big headliner that night, but I did not feel safe at this venue. With so many people packed in a room together, laughing and talking, I felt that I was putting myself at risk. I had a glass of red wine, which was just good. I wasn't expecting the best of wines at a comedy club, so that's alright. Again, the comedians of the night were amazing, but I was disappointed that the Hyena Comedy Club was not taking Covid-19 precautions seriously.

    Needs better food options.

Great place for a night out. Everyone was welcoming, restrooms were clean and overall a nice underground club with great entertainment.

How do they enforce the two-item purchase minimum? Seems like a lot after paying $15 for entry.

They repeatedly come to your table to take your order. Also, on your exit, they ask to see you admission ticket stub.

We ordered our drinks on their QR code which also included our table number. 45 min after ordering I asked the first person where our drinks were. She had me repeat my order and said she'd go check. Didn't see her again. Saw people around us get multiple drinks. I asked another person who walked past and she answered I just being out the food. So I asked her who was I suppose to ask since I never had a waiter come talk to us. She said she'd be back. Again nothing. Finally saw a waitress who again asked for my order. She came and went multiple times. I had to get up and go near the back so I can catch her. Asked her again and had to again repeat my order. I finally got my drinks right before the show ended. And of course got charged. Terrible experience due to that alone.

The event itself was listed to start at 9:30pm. I understand something may happened unexpected however we stood in the line without any updates or notifications for over a hour! In high heels and Texas 90° HEAT! We arrived at 9pm didn't get in until 10:20pm! The event had a full food menu however, only burgers and cold ass fried were available. The waiters were nice and did the best they could however, we will never be back to this place. Allegedly, Nick was looking for the best comedians in the city but seemed more like an open mic night that used Nick Cannons name for promotional reasons. Granted he was there, introduced the show, made a lil joke and promoted his upcoming wild'n out event in November but after a hour he was gone! I saw him on another flyer at StoneWater for the same night so I'm sure that's where he went. It was supposed to be to be a nice date night but it was unorganized and super delayed! No offense to the comedians because some were really great however I would not recommend! They should've gave everyone a refund.

General admission is pretty reasonable--usually around $6 to $8 depending on the day and time you go. The place is absolutely massive!! I had no idea that it was so big!! Not only is there a whole dedicated dance floor but tons of pool tables, arcade games, and even a full indoor rodeo arena for live bull riding! I was misled and thought there was a mechanical bull.. there is not unfortunately but there is like a fake bull you can pay and take photos with. We happened to walk in right in the middle of a line-dancing class, which was super fun to watch! It's pretty amazing how quickly the dancers, both men and women, picked up the steps and choreography. They were all super good! Afterwards, it transitioned into open floor dancing, which was equally entertaining in my opinion! As a first-timer, it was a total blast and it's easy to see why it's such an iconic tourist destination. We didn't end up eating here since we had just grabbed dinner at Cattlemen's nearby, but the BBQ and other food options here didn't look super appetizing. Still, for drinks, dancing, and authentic Texas atmosphere, it's a must-visit when you're in the Stockyards!

Set design, costumes, choreography, singing, music, acting were all top notch. Some of the things you should know before you go. 1) Parking can be a challenge because they don't have their own garage. There are several garages nearby (about a block walking distance), but you will want to arrive really early to make sure you have time to find a space, make your way to the theater, and find your seat before the show starts. We were coming from Richardson, so we knew we would need over an hour to travel there, but because of the parking situation, we left even earlier at 11:30 am for a 1:30pm show time start. 2) The building is quite modern. They have several entrances, but you may be asked to wait on the street in the elements before they open the doors and start scanning tickets. Be prepared to stand in the elements. 3) The seats are quite narrow and the arm rest is shared with your seat mate. If you are an average sized American, you might find the average seats quite uncomfortable. The person next to me was blubbering through her seat into mine. She was also very enthusiastic tapping along with the beat. Both things were unpleasant for me. There are box seats that have independent chairs. If I return to this venue, I will pay for one of these to avoid feeling like a sardine. They have an amazing line up of shows. I wish they were closer because I would definitely be a season ticket holder so that I could enjoy every single one of their amazing shows.

Check-in process was very easy, just show your receipt(s) for online ticket purchase. You can also purchase ticket on site, but no guarantees. Room is spacious with several nicely-spaced round tables with 6 chairs each & 2 large booths in the back of the room. You can get your table first or your food order, tables are 1st come 1st serve. You get a buzzer that notifies u when food is ready, so it's nice not to have to stand around the food counter (A PLUS). Drinks are self-serve & free refills all night. All the facility staff are very courteous & welcoming. The large pizza had generous toppings & flavorful, well-worth it. Kids also enjoyed the crispy tender basket with generous amount of fries. Table next to us got the nachos, which was huge, with generous toppings, for $11. Now the comedy itself: wish I could give 5 stars bc I really liked everything else, but the jokes were mostly eehhh, for lack of better words. I understand that it is improv, but there were many moments of awkward, cheesy dialogues & remarks. Loved that they included the audience, though. The funniest part was when they borrowed 2 of audience's cell phones & improvised their texts. It was still a fun family night overall. 4 stars bc everything was pleasant & affordable ($65 total for 5 of us including food), but the jokes definitely needed improvement.
