I purchased a Groupon for AMC Park Terrace 6 and initially had some trouble booking online, so we went to the theater in person. Buying the tickets was easy, and we had time to explore the shopping center before the movie. My mom got an Icee, and I got a kids' pack--both were great. The staff provided excellent customer service, and we were smoothly directed to our theater. It looks like they've updated an older space, and it felt clean and comfortable. I have to bump up the ratings on this a bit. We went to see a movie, Black Bag, here last night...and realized this place went thru some major renovations, with many more rooms since we last visited (LONG time ago!). More than anything, I was impressed with the clean bathrooms...something I can't say about the other AMC theaters I've seen in Charlotte and Rock Hill. The only reason I can't drop 5 stars is this. The chairs were awkwardly placed, with really bad screening angles from seats on the outer edges! Seemed that the leveling of the chairs is a bit weak...meaning, seatings on F-G levels are not as high as they should be, yet quite close to ground level? Also, the A/C wasn't on...but I guess that's halfway forgivable given how it was a cool-ish day. Still, we were impressed with the changes here. Normally my go-to favorite theatre, but I went to see a rated R gore movie there and there were not one but two babies in the theatre. People were so fed up they got the manager and security and they came in took a look around, heard both babies crying then left without doing anything about it. Had the absolute worst experience tonight at this location. Cashier Chloe was extremely rude when we asked for fresh popcorn. She slammed the container closed and said I'm just going to get my manager. When manager Sarah came out she also was rude and condescending to myself and my girlfriend. Saying oh well pick something else after we stated we were paying customers who should get what we asked for she said oh well I'm not opening a fresh bag of popcorn then told us we could not see the movie. Below is the same review I wrote for Northlake, but it's the same experience here. The only difference was the manager and employees weren't helpful and less attentive. I also had to go ask the manager to fix the sound. I recently decided to give AMC theaters another chance after a long hiatus due to cleanliness concerns. Unfortunately, while some things have improved, others have not. The service from the employees is just okay; they are polite and efficient enough but nothing exceptional. However, the cleanliness still leaves much to be desired. It would be much better if they improved cleaning between the seats, as this seems to be a neglected area. Overall, while AMC has its merits, more attention to cleanliness is needed to make it a top-notch movie-going experience. read more

Movie theater is nice and clean. Easy to navigate. This review is more so in regards to an employee there. I ordered popcorn and then I accidentally forgot to tell him I had the AMC A list for the points and he then had an attitude and told me to press X. I pressed X to cancel it and then he rudely said it again. I'm not sure if he was just having an off day or what, but it really killed the mood and I didn't deserve to be talked to like that. Being nice to others is basic customer service and I didn't do anything to warrant an attitude. I'm going to another AMC and avoiding this one despite it being nice and clean. In desperate need of a renovation! I went to check out the movie AIR at the Park AMC I must say that literally everyone on the staff was super sweet and very attentive and offered a 10/10 experience! However, the big downside to this theater is that it is very outdated, no stadium seating and small. If you love movies then I would skip this location. This AMC recently introduced pickles at the concessions....pickles. Don't get me wrong, i love pickles but $2.99 plus tax is armed robbery. I still got them, don't you worry. This is my favorite theatre. It is close by, there's a lot of restaurants in the area too. I love the comfortable, reclining and heated seats. It is small so I always book in advance - I love being able to pick my seat too. The lobby gets crowded but there are signs for which line to stand in. Overall, I enjoy this theater! read more

This is a good location. I like that the facility was clean and that the employees were very nice. You have snacks at the beginning and I'm not sure where but I believe there is alcohol available. My only real issue with the Theatre was that it was beyond freezing cold. We asked if they were able to turn down the air however, they were unable to. The seats have a heater however, the heater is way too hot on your back. This was my only issue during the movie since it was too cold to really concentrate on watching the film. I do hope that this theater can update the temperature control or it may have just been the particular theater that we watched the movie in. read more

Smooth, comfortable cinema experience! For our return to the movies after COVID, we bought tickets to see Barbie (because obviously). I like that you can see each show's availability and purchase the specific seats you want. We went for a Sunday 1:30 PM show, which was matinee pricing - love a discount! I felt that the prices were reasonable here. The lobby area is quite small: there are bathrooms to the left and concessions straight ahead. To the right, there's a staff member who will scan your tickets on your phone, and there's also a bar behind them. Even though we were running about 20 min late, when we entered the theater, the previews were about to wrap up, so we fortunately didn't miss any of the movie (but also good to be prepared for potentially long previews if you arrive on time). The seats are super comfortable, and you can recline them to the incline that suits you best. I had a great amount of space and could really focus on enjoying the movie. The revitalized AMC Theater at Park Road Shopping Center demonstrates what's great in modern movie design. Hip and a little swanky, it sets the standard with comfy recliners, smaller and more intimate studios, and easy, no paper check-ins. The AMC online purchase was a breeze and proved flawless. The only glitch was the bar scene. Due to policies requiring only one drink/person (nope, you cannot order two), each person must show evidence of age (which seems counter-intuitive to the whole going digital craze). Also, the lone bartender could not meet the demand. Before I was age 17, our big thrill was sneaking into R-rated movies. (We did manage to see "Last Tango in Paris" where I learned butter is not only for cooking). God forbid I'm now served beer without everyone flashing their ID (after all, I got my senior citizens discount online with no hassles, lol)! In spite of this hiccup, we both enjoyed the opening of Elton John's, "Rocketman." Stone sober, too. Welcome back to PRSC. Please work out the bar glitches. I say keep "giving 'em a whirl." The theater had reclining seats but my girlfriend's wasn't working so she had to share my foot rest. On top of all the the customer service was terrible too. My mom and I decided to watch Jordan's Journal on Christmas Day at this theater. The main reason for picking this theater is because it is the closest AMC to my parents home. I wanted to go to an AMC because I had pre- purchase tickets that I originally purchased at Costco. This theater is located in a shopping plaza that includes The Shake Shack. The parking is shared with the other businesses in the plaza. I imagine that if the other stores in the plaza were open it may be a little. Challenging to find parking. Walking into the theater the concession stand which also serves as the ticket stand is located a few steps from the entrance. My mother had to purchase a mask as masks are required for entry. The mask cost her about $1.60. After she purchased a mask I asked to purchased our tickets for the show. A seating chart appeared on the screen and we were instructed to pick our seats. When I tell you the theater is tiny! It is likely the smallest theater I have ever been in. There were only 4 rows to pick from!!! After picking out seats I handed the staff my tickets. He was clueless as to what to do with them. Another female staff came over and attempted to help. She then told me that since the ticket was so worn she could not use it! I am like ok, well what is the solution to the problem. She just repeated herself. I then asked if there was a manager I could speak with. She had such an attitude! I don't understand her frustration with me wanting to use something that I paid for!!! After a few minutes the manager, Adam came out. Adam explained that since they could not scan the ticket he would replace them with new ones that can be scanned. Simple solution!!! The reason for the reduced score is due to the staff being rude. I witnessed the staff interact with other patrons and I was not impressed. Also, the staff honestly looked as if they just rolled out of bed and came to work. What happened to uniforms at the movie theater? Did they get a wear tie pajamas to work day because it is a holiday? Regarding the theater, it was clean and I loved the comfy chairs. They recline and are heated! After the show a staff came on and announced " take your trash with you when you leave"! This was another first for me in a theater! If given a choice, I would not return to this theater. I am certain that there are better experiences in the area. read more

The chairs are really nice but for the price increase and still watching 40mins of Pre-Movie stuff is it really worth it, for me? NOPE! I am glad we went to determine it just was not worth it, will we be back probably but the AMC missed the Boat when they refurbished this place but cutting out Pre-Movie Stuff making into a Dining Theater and show cutting edge movies. Go to the Manor Twin for Cutting Edge Movies or Phillips Place to save a couple of bucks. Although rumor has it Phillips Place will be torn Down once they complete the new theater up by the Morrocroft HT. Tickets hostess was very rude and snappy when I wanted to take a picture with 3 yo child by the minion sign while my spouse bought tickets! She was so off putting that we left the theater and chose to go to give out money to another establishment! So glad to have this theatre reopen and AMC invested a lot into it. To start there are 2 automated ticket machines as you walk in. Having difficulties using these no worries the snack counter also sells tickets. The lobby is very modern and clean. There is a fully stocked bar as well as traditional movie theatre snacks. The theaters themselves are tiny. The one we were in only had 3 rows which made for a great intimate experience. The seats made the entire experience. Brand new, comfy, reclined and were heated. Oh and every chair had it's own arm rest so no fighting with the stranger next to you. The theatre was a little chilly so I turned on the heated seats to yellow and was more than comfortable the entire movie. The only challenge is with all the new restaurants parking has become more limited so be prepared to wall a little. Trust me it's worth it! read more

I am sooooo glad they renovated and re-opened this theater! It's my new go to theater since it's so close to my home and I really enjoy the fact that they don't have stadium seating. They do have reserved seating with reclining and heated seats but there is no stadium seating. I love it this way! reminds me of a theater I went to all the time when I lived in Vegas. It's an extremely clean theater and everything is new from the renovation. They have a large concession stand with the coke freestyle machines. There's also a small bar inside to order your adult beverages. Sign up for the AMC stubs program and take advantage of $5 movie tickets on Tuesdays. Use the app to collect points on your stubs account to earn $5 gift cards. Use the AMC app to also buy your tickets ahead of time and choose your seats. It's extremely simple. I did notice at the theater there isn't an actual person to purchase a ticket from. There are machines where you purchase your movie tickets if you didn't do so online. I will be back to this theater again! I felt very safe with lots of security inside and in the parking lot when my movie got out at 11:30pm. read more

This was my first time in this theater and I was very disappointed... I know movie theater snacks are very pricey but we got a " regular " size popcorn and it was extremely small compared to the regular sizes at other theaters. When we got into our theater, the seats were extremely tight and hard to get comfortable in. They are thin and narrow and as a 5'8 woman my legs were hanging off the end. I'm not a plus size person and i could barely even turn in the seat -- that's how small they were. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I recently saw a movie here and was thoroughly impressed with the remodel of this location. This theater is small so make sure you book your tickets in advance to select your seat. Unlike like other AMCs, they do not have stadium seating so be mindful when selecting yyour seat - I recommend the 4th row or back. However they do have nice leather recliner-style chairs that even have built in heaters! I have yet to see that feature at any other AMC location. The only thing that sucks with this location is parking since it's in the middle of Park Road shopping center. Good luck during peak hours! read more

Another horrible experience. Went on Christmas Day with 12 of us to see Little Women. My seat was not functioning. Being in the second row it's very difficult to look up at the screen without using the recline function. Since the seats are assigned I wasn't comfortable taking another seat that may have been purchased already. We told staff before the movie began and again 20 mins into the movie and both times we were told the manager would come in and reset the seat. It never happened. After the movie I asked to speak with the manager and he said he did come in but since the movie had already started he didn't want to disturb me. ?!?! Really?? He could not have seemed to have cared less. He told me the theater was really busy and he just didn't have time to deal with it further. I told him it wasn't acceptable and he offered me a free pass to come back. This mismanagement of this establishment is simply unbelievable. read more

Disappointed with our movie experience this evening Purchased a coke slushee Went to the machine to fill the cup & machine was not working. Evidently it has been broken for several day. It's was extremely difficult to get a refund. I was offered a butterfinger for the trouble, but manager reneged offer. Basically all I got was a hard time for something that is clearly the managers fault. The sales staff shouldn't be able to charge for items aren't available. Theater was hot. No point in going to the movies in the summer when it's hot in the theater. I'd rather stay home & wait for it to come on Netflix. The remodel was done well. Chairs are clean & operate properly Doubt I will return when Phillips place is closer and has superior customer service. Caveat emptor read more

Pretty impressed with the renovation at the Park Terrace movie theatre. All the seats are full recline and heated. Plenty big as well. Best to reserve your specific seat in advance as these types of over sized loungers mean fewer seats in the theatre. Do yourself a favor and sign up for the AMC awards online before booking your tickets. For a family of 5 it saves us $10+ each trip to the movies. Food is ok. Would give 5 stars but think there is a little room for improvement on the food, recognizing it is a movie theatre after all. read more

Decided to check this place out for Birds of Prey tonight since we were already in the area. It's pricier than most other theaters nearby but we decided to go for it. Honestly, I had high-hopes considering that this theater was just renovated, but I'm left unimpressed. The lobby was messy and confusing. The concessions attendant mumbled the whole time and I couldn't understand him. The ticket taker isn't clearly indicated and was confusing to find. Our theater wasn't clean yet even though we were only 20 minutes early. The bathroom was dirty and out of toilet paper. The hallway to the different theaters was dirty as well. I'm not sure if it was just an off-night or what, but like I said, for the price and the newness, I'm disappointed. The seats are super comfy though! read more
