Unfortunately, I'm going to have to stop going to this location. Management refused to do anything about customers smoking huge clouds of weed during the movie and stinking up the whole theater. They then tried to convince me that AMC's policy is not to remove people for smoking weed in the theater unless they catch them in the act, but AMC's actual policy is that they can be removed if they're visibly intoxicated and these people were so high they literally couldn't string together a sentence. The manager just didn't feel like dealing with it, plain and simple. Management here won't do anything about disruptions in the theater, so I'd definitely avoid this location if you want to enjoy your movie in peace. read more

If I had the ability to rate it 0 stars I most certainly would. There was a worker there who looked like she was 46, and wouldnt let my daughter in because the 18 year old who she was with that was her bes friends brother wasnt allowed because he didnt pay for it. Then continued to say in that scenario that he would have to be 21. We then had to refund the tickets for the movie that my daughter was so exited for. Awesome AMC with spacious vertically oriented movie theaters and great snack selection. Located on the upper floor of Penn Square Mall but there is side parking lot you can drive up to from behind the building that gives instant access to that floor and that is also very close to the AMC. Train your employees to problem solve rather than publicize an issue. Normally I am prone to having a positive experience here. But the girl working the front register on Thursday 6/4 ruined it for me. Not providing a description of her or name dropping because everyone has bad days. But I've been going to this theater for years, I am an A-list subscriber and every now and then, I get a buffer seat for movies because I like to lift the arm rest up. I get the buffer seat for the price of a child ticket because my regular tickets are free with my monthly subscription. I got a buffer seat for this movie under a separate transaction. Everything was fine at first, my friend scanned his ticket, then she scanned my buffer ticket and then looked at her device. Looked me up and down (fat grown man, obviously an adult) and she raised her voice for all to hear in a (successful) attempt to publicly shame me. She said "Are you under the age of 12 years old?" And I said I wasn't. Then she told me "if you're going to see a big boy movie, then you need to buy a big boy ticket next time." Which is sound advice, I agree. But like I said prior, I got my ticket and the buffer seat and at that point, I was already uncomfortable and embarrassed that I didn't even let her scan my regular ticket. If I see her again, I'll give her a second chance to talk to me like a human being. Literally the whole debacle could have been avoided with conversation. Movie was great, theater wasn't disgusting. my daughters were racially discriminated against in my opinion they were 2 black girls kicked out of a theater for so called disruptive behavior 1 was in the hallway the the older one asked why her sister had to leave. She was then asked to leave for being disruptive and they weren't being rude in anyway they were also refund. They the cops called on them and that's who ultimately had the movie give them their security guard still followed my out and wouldn't leave them alone white woman told the security guard to leave them alone. I'm a "show up to the theatre as early as they'll let me in and then eat all of my popcorn before Maria Menounos (I like that laugh) graces the screen" kind of person. And that's the scene for my most recent movie experience. My Queen had plans with the girlies tonight so I snagged a solo ticket to the new cartoon Spider-Man movie. Movie's at 6 and I'm in my cushy reclining seat by 5:55. Thinking I'd have some time alone I whisper "now we play the waiting game". So you can imagine my surprise when 3 other web-heads walk in by 5:58! Here's what they said: "To date, what's the craziest thing you've ever cooked?" "Are we talking taste or complexity?" "Either." She goes on to talk about thanksgiving. "What about you Sam?" He talks about a stew he made after his divorce. "What about you Dan?" He said it's a tie between el pastor in the oven (which had a pretty complex sauce) and a Mediterranean soup. Great movie, good popcorn, lively theatre. Bad news here. We stood in the A-List line and never got served. Never got looked at even. 3 employees were behind the counter, but only one was working. Bought our tickets through Fandango while we stood there. No one even scammed or checked our tickets. We could have just walked into any theatre. Very strange. read more

Since pandemic half the menu is gone. But with people going out we want variety and we want chicken strips and different pizza back on the menu. The amount of fries for $6 is ridiculous and it's highway robbery. You should get your money's worth when paying that much. It used to be more but they for no reason have cut down the portion and not the price. I enjoyed the movie but missed some parts because I was dissatisfied, disappointed and mad about this small amount of fries for large price. I hope they change it back. read more

I love the seating at Penn Square Mall. My only problem is that it was so comfortable that I fell asleep for part of the movie. The concession stand got us our popcorn and drink very quickly. The girl working was very friendly and seemed happy to be there. I love that we could get our tickets online and pick our seats so we didn't have to wait in line to get tickets. This visit was a bummer. We came at 7pm and were hoping to get something for dinner. They literally had nothing but popcorn. There was a tip from another reviewer that helped me tremendously. Here are mine: 1) Parking - Go to the parking garage and take it to the upper level, specifically 3G. There's plenty of handicap parking up there too. There's a short walkway to the mall and as soon as you make a right once inside the mall, AMC is RIGHT THERE. 2) Movie theater - For crying out loud, download the AMC app and buy your tickets beforehand. If you're an AMC Stubs member, you already know, your ticket fees are waived. I went at 10am to see "A Star is Born" today (Saturday). OF COURSE tickets will cost more money for the recliners vs the crappy AMC Classic theaters. Recliners take up more room than the tiny "Classic" seats so there will be less seats and ultimately, you WILL be more comfortable. 3) Customer Service was great and friendly. Show up early and imo, Catching the first show of the day on the weekend is the best time to go. Less crowds, cheaper tickets. 4) The theater itself (#10) was nice and set up differently than they are where I'm from. The recliner next to me did need a new seat cover but I'd much rather sit there than a Classic theater. read more

I am an AMC member so for my birthday I get a free large popcorn!! I used Groupon to purchase 2 tickets here. With our tickets already purchased we were able to skip the line and go straight to the concession. They scanned my phone for member rewards and points and got our popcorn and a large drink. The items are high priced, if I ordered a large drink and a box of candy online it was over $15.00..so it's better to just buy it here. A large drink was a little over $5.00. The server was very friendly and quick. We came to see the Invisible Man in room #6. I absolutely love the reclining seats. Several people had blankets and was all layed back and comfortable. The arm rest raises up to make a love seat. We had a great time, the movie was good, snacks were awesome. I don't care for malls, but it was worth going through to get to this theatre. read more

Hands down the best movie-going experience to be had in OKC these days. The reclining seats are downright amazing, if not dangerously nap-inducing. For how long this space has been around, it's amazing how it truly feels fresh and updates this time after the most recent reopening. The word is out, though, so be ready for long lines. This is my favorite place to go see a movie. The seating is so comfortable, and I love how you can recline your seat WITH a foot rest. The spacing of the seating is nice as well because they couple the seats together so there is a good amount of space between you and the strangers sitting next to you. You can also lift up the middle bar to snuggle with your companion! The concessions stand is always quick and the popcorn is always fresh. They have a pretty decent candy selection too. Sometimes the soda machines are missing popular selections on a busy night, but since there is two this usually balances out. My only complaint about this theatre is the pricing. I know that it's a nicer theatre than others, but to spend almost 20$ on one adult ticket for a matinee is a little bit ridiculous. However, I begrudgingly spend this amount because I enjoy this theatre more than others. read more

I've come to this theater time and time again, yet, this was by far the worst experience I've had here. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it was New Years Day and they could've had a hard time getting supplies, but, this was ridiculous. No popcorn, hot food had a 35-45 minute wait, no ice in the fountains, no popular drinks loaded in the fountains, and it was horribly messy. I'll return, just because I've had some very good experiences here. But, if management ever reads this, it was unacceptable this day. Customer service was pretty poor to boot. They didn't seem to care that they didn't have any of the usual movie goer goodies. I'll hopefully update with something better in the future. read more

I have been here twice recently. Someone gave us a amc a list as a gift and we are still trying to find an acceptable theatre. This theatre the first time was acceptable minus the fact the beverage area. The floor was disgustingly sticky and wet. The second time was this past Sunday. We went to watch a movie that was over 2 hours. The floor was the same. It was dirty and sticky. The main problem was that the ladies bathroom had 2/3 sinks without soap. The last sink by the time we left was very low. When I told staff their response was we can't do that when we are open. This flabbergasted me. All of the hand sanitizers were out. If you are asking yourself, "should I go to Penn AMC," you've got to ask a couple of follow up questions before you book your tickets. 1. Is it close to Christmas? If yes, then do not pass go. Do not collect popcorn. Go directly to a movie theater not connected to a mall. If the answer is no, proceed to question 2. 2. Can I find a parking spot on the top level of the parking garage? If no, you should probably just leave. Because parking anywhere else is a pain to get to this theater. Unless you want to walk through the whole mall or if you get a top floor spot, proceed to question 3. 3. Do I like reclined seats? Ok sure, everyone should like reclined seats. I mean relaxing. My point is, that if it's not a holiday and if the parking garage isn't packed, this is a solid movie theater. It's clean, modern, and easy to find your seats. I wouldn't recommend the back rows if you want to recline because the people in front block the view slightly. I've had a good time each time I have been here. So why not 5 stars? I am sold! I had been putting off going here because I have a huge aversion to the mall. I am so sad I waited so long. I absolutely cannot come here if I am tired though! The seats are amazing. They are leather recliners that you can lean back in. The theater is small and has limited seating, but you pick and reserve your seat when you purchase your tickets. The snack bar had health options which I really appreciate. You could purchase water and pretzel chips and hummus if you wanted to skip the soda and popcorn. How much do I love watching movies at AMC Penn Square 10? I love it enough to drive 80 miles each way just to sit in its comfy chairs and eat its tasty popcorn. It helps that all of the seating is reserved, as I would hate to drive up for a movie to discover it was sold out. The theaters are small, capping out at 150 seats for the biggest rooms, but the screens are huge. Why the discrepancy? Recliners. Every seat fully reclines. And there is enough room between the fully reclined seats to walk down the aisles without bumping into people's feet. Every seat has a cupholder and plenty of space for arms, so sitting next to strangers is no problem. As for concessions, the popcorn is fresh, they have Godiva chocolate bars and a limited hot menu available, and their soda machines allow for an amazing amount of choice. I am particularly fond of the Kid's Pack, which includes a small drink, just enough popcorn, and a package of gummy fruit chews. If you are a big fan of popcorn (or of going to the movies in general) the AMC Stubs program ($12 per year) allows you to upgrade to the larger size of popcorn. Pay for a small, obtain a medium! The program pays for itself quickly, and you earn $10 in bonus credit for every $100 you spend anywhere in the theater. So yes, once a month or so we head up to catch a movie. You can find us napping through the previews somewhere in the center of the theater. Which seats? I'm not telling! Just pick your own favorite seats and skip over mine, please! read more

I saw a movie at the AMC Penn Square in the early evening on a Tuesday. The theater I saw the movie in had assigned seating. I have no idea if every theater is this way, but I prefer it. The seats were reclining, extra wide, with large cup holders. Very comfortable. Additionally, there are seats which don't have an armrest in the middle for couples or families. Again, I don't know if every theater at AMC Penn Square has these seats, but the one I did had them and I was comfortable. I'm glad this type of seating is being installed at more theaters. I didn't get any concessions, but they looked typical in price and availability for your local multiplex. The theater was clean, as was the bathroom. I found the price of the ticket (around $13, I can't recall the exact figure) to be a little high given that it was the middle of the week and it wasn't in a 3D or IMAX theater. This is likely because I was in one of the theaters with recliners, and I get that the movie theater is in a mall, which makes everything more expensive. But, I thought it was a a little too high, hence the 3 star review instead of 4 star. AMC Penn Square isn't a cool enough theater to seek it out specifically (like the Warren in Moore), but it gets the job done, it's clean, and the couple of employees I came in contact with were friendly. This is one of my favorite movie theaters. However, today I had a little snag. I noticed you could pre order your food before before you arrive. Then, they would deliver it at your specified time to your seat. I thought ok I will try it even though there was a 2.00 delivery fee an an additional 1.00 service fee. Really!? A bit much for just delivering popcorn. But I'm always looking for a different movie experience. So I put my order in the day before my movie. AND IT WAS DEDUCTED FROM MY DEBIT CARD. You include your seat row and number of the movie you are going to see. My time was 10:15 am. I got an email confirmation at 8:57am after I ordered. The email said just use your previously bought ticket and then go to your seat and we will do the rest. It said it would be delivered within 10 min of your designated time. Well I set down at 10:10 and by 10:35 it had not arrived. I waited and then I really wanted something so I had to leave and miss part of the movie (which I won't lie aggravated me) I explained my situation and the concession stand girl said they didn't receive my order. I said ok I'm going to get something because I was missing parts of movie, then I will come back. After the movie it took a while and finally they reversed the charges on the order I had. There really was no sorrys or anything. The young lady just reversed the charge and later I realized not the delivery charge. Out $2.00 even though they did not "deliver" anything but disappointment. I still prefer the theater just want to warn everybody about how the delivery services works and about the fee and service charge. I'm a Stubbs member (which I guess isn't really a big deal) I was truly disappointed. Next time I'll just wait in line. Save money.
