While, I would love to give this theater 5 stars, I can't quite yet as I have not had the chance to visit other theaters in the area. The convenience of the location is the main reason that I come here, but even when you don't include that the lines are never long, there is plenty of seating in their auditoriums, and it's always been clean. Which is more than I can say for other theaters I've attended. I've had issues a couple times with my tickets or with gift cards, and each time the management has solved those issues to full satisfaction. This venue always has a great selection of blockbuster movies, as well as those that enjoy a long run time for audiences to see. If you are a member of the AMC stubs program you can also enjoy $5 Tuesdays, and buy tickets at the box office for any movie they are playing. You could be from Avon , Indy, or even England and still enjoy a movie here. Daughter and I saw an early showing (being Thanksgiving weekend) of Knives Out. Since one of the first showings (10:15 AM) the entire building seemed very clean. They like Regal in Avon have reserved seats, but they aren't the reclining type of seats. AMC is less expensive than Regal. One downside (did save $) is since it was so early we did not get soda and popcorn. These are both better than Regal since they have the self serve Coke free style machines and get your own popcorn butter dispensers. read more

The physical space and projection facilities are good. What I hate is AMC's "Stubs Premiere" program. Having priority lanes for popcorn just feels undemocratic and wrong. Movies are one of the few places left where the people can come together and share an experience without class distinctions. But not at AMC, where they've decided it's a good idea to treat some customers as better than others. Although this is a good theater and relatively convenient to my house, I'm considering giving up on it. read more

AMC Perry Crossing is a great option for movie night. It's located near the shops so you have options for dinner before the movies. Plenty of area for parking so that's never an issue. I always prefer AMC theaters because I think their popcorn taste better! They also have the Coca-Cola machines so you can get creative with your drink options, which I love! This location now has a Dolby screen with nicer seats. The seats do not fully recline to be flat but they do extend out a bit for more comfort. They offer the option of the annual popcorn bucket which is something you should look into if you're an frequent movie watcher! read more

I bumped up my star rating from 4 to 5 because this theater now has Coke Freestyle machines with unlimited refills. What?! I can get a Cherry Vanilla Coke Zero in my preferred Vanilla:Cherry ratio (3/4 vanilla, 1/4 cherry...in case you were curious)....and unlimited refills? This will make our "Matinee Movie Marathons" much more enjoyable this winter :-). And yes...we pay for all the movies we see on those days. They also now have DIY popcorn "butter" and salt....which i guess means unlimited refills on popcorn "butter" too?... Gross in my opinion, but there is SOMEONE out there who is now doing a happy dance and I salute them. Rumor has it they are going to re-open the electronic ticketing kiosks in the near future too. Okay so I just moved to Indy from Florida where I worked in a shopping mall much like Metropolis in the resteraunt dirrectly accross from a Cobb theater (Lakeside Villiage in Lakeland FL just in case you were wondering) and that meant that I was a pretty frequent visitor of the theater....Now I live in Putnam county.. where there are no theaters lol Its about a 40 minnute drive to Metroplois so let me tell you how amazing my first visit was: I had previously went to a "two dollar theater" in lakeland where they have the dine in movies and got a carmike card. So before going to the metroplois location I registered my rewards card and got a free small popcorn coupon (yay! free stuff always nice). I had looked up tickets and they were 10 dollars which seemed high to me but I looked around at shiloh and that was the same price so I thought the free popcorn would outweigh the ticket..... ... and then... the most AMAZING THING IN THE WORLD HAPPENED I went to the theater and purchased my free popcorn, a medium drink, and my ticket all together and she says "alrighty your total today is 12$ dollars!" ....... what... the.... heck..... let me break this down for you... a medium drink at a movie theater is around 5.75 bucks... and online it had said 10$ tickets.... so you can imagine when my total was 12 dollars instead of 17 I was ABSOLUTLEY CERTAIN that.... A) this girl MUST be new and B) she undercharged me and I had my drink cup and my popcorn in hand and I wasnt gonna say a thing..... lol But much to my surprise--- Im not a dirty scoundral.... the tickets any day from 4-5:30 are considered SUPER MATINEE! what up!!! :D Tickets are only 5.75! Holy cow thats CHEAP!!!! Then I go to fill my drink and I realize its a coke freestyle machine... and Im thinking... hmm... can we get refills or not??? Then I see a sign that says free refills with a large drink... so I conclude that theres no free refills :( so I go see my movie which started a couple minnutes late and I and my boyfriend downed the drink so we talked about it and I decided what the heck... theres a drink machine right outside of our theater away from the concessions... no ones looking... Im getting a refill.. I worked at a resteraunt I know how much that soda costs... SUE ME. ......... ..... but again not a dirty scoundral... Refills really are free apparently..... my 007 moves... not needed. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME EVER... that I have gone to a nice movie theater and not had to be an outlaw with goodies in my purse. This theater has so many ammenities.. Free refills, bargain days, super bargain matinee... its honestly an amazing experience! Im on my way back today! I used to love coming to what I remembered as the Rave. This was the best place to go see movies now it is just a shadow of its former self. Purchased tickets from 1 of 2 kiosks in the main entrance instead of attendants behind the glass. The kiosk broke on me after buying my tickets and shut down. Then I bought 25-26 dollars worth of concessions. The attendant told me I had to be a stubs member to get a refill. My friends and family loved it because you didn't have those ridiculous assigned seats Then our movie cut out 3/4 into it and they couldn't fix it. Needless to say I'm not happy read more

I like that this theatre shows non-standard movies. I went to see Joe Satriani's concert here in 3-D, something I never would've thought about without seeing it advertised. It's clean, not terribly crowded-feeling, and I like the sound/screens fine. What knocked off a star was when I actually saw the concert, I thought that maybe I'd hit the cough syrup too hard, because the pictures were flat. The manager came and told us that surprise, they had the wrong version. We got passes to come back and I even got an e-mail letting me know when the showing would take place. Cool, right, except that I can see in reviews that this is not an uncommon event. I live a good ways from Plainfield, and I don't always have a do-over day. read more

I am a fan of this theater; as matinee prices are affordable and there are always plenty of movie time options for new releases. Lines can occasionally become very long (and they don't have the self-help ticket stations anymore), which is why we prefer to purchase our tickets online ahead of time. Get the popcorn bucket for an annual $20 fee and you can get free refills all year long. read more

Just saw rogue one. I complained about kids talking nonstop in the beginning of the movie. They talked the rest if the movie after being warned by the staff. During the end of the movie they got more obnoxious. When I tried to tell someone again I missed the end of the movie. Why are children allowed to be separated from heir parents unsupervised? These were young kids? Totally ruined our movie experience and I know they were making others upset in the theater. read more

It's your typical large theater with a bunch of screens, high school employees, and the constant smell of delicious popcorn. That said, I grew up going to a Rave (now Carmike) nearly identical to this one, so there's definitely something nostalgic about this place. They seem to do a good job keeping it clean. The chairs are comfortable. I've never had issues with the movies here (fuzzy picture, bad sound, etc.) which is always a plus. I'm also part of their rewards program now, which does... something, I think? Overall, it's a good theater with tons of screens and showtimes. Yay movies! read more

Great place to see movies! The have put in all new seat, rocket recliner chairs, plush, very nice! Prices on tickets are a little higher for matinee times then other theaters. They now offer a great price on popcorn, you can buy a bucket for $20.00 and get refills for a $4.00 each time after for a whole year. (NOT free refills like others are saying) Great place during the week, crazy busy on weekends. They give you the cup, you fill it with whatever you want at the magic coke machine. They have 2 in the lobby, so if it's busy you'll be waiting for 10-30 mins just to get your drink. They do have another coke machine at the end of the hall so if the main 2 are crowded head to the end of each hall. read more

I don't have a lot to say here, it's a movie theater, and I'm not too picky - but probably best aspect are the comfy seats. It's pretty new, so it's pretty nice, clean, and bright. Also, you will not want for bathrooms...the bathrooms have more than enough stalls and the whole room is crazy bright green. Not that bathroom color matters. But if you have appreciation/aversion for green, haha. Friendly staff. Parking is kind of odd, as it is part of a shopping mall, but I've never had problems with being able to park reasonably close to the entrance. No complaints here. Also, they have a party room for kids and a little arcade area, if those are things you desire. read more

Went to Bohemian Rhapsody tonight and saw the film in theater 16. Loved the film. The quality of the sound and picture quality was at best an Analog picture and sound quality was very disappointing. For a music film production this is not the spot for those that appreciate better quality! They need to upgrade this theatre. read more

One of the best theaters in the Indianapolis and surrounding area. It's a convenient location in the hear of Metropolis shopping complex. It's a clean theater with a big city feel. They have all of the typical refreshments, and the fountain drinks are the fill it yourself, 50 flavor Coke machines. It's a large theater, so there are a lot of movies to choose from, and I like the rocker seats. read more

My go to theater when I lived on the west side of Indy. Although it's gone under 3 different ownerships, it remains a solid theater. The seats do not recline like a lot of theaters are going toward, but they are still very comfortable and the arm rests go up. The concession stand is good (expensive, but that is typical) and they also serve alcohol. It's always clean. I've never had any problems here. Parking is ample and when the weather is nice, it's great to walk around the mall as well. It's one of the best theater locations. read more

I'll never visit here again after my experience today. Ever since they have allowed AMC Stubs members to cut in front of the lines both ar the ticket booth (meanwhile a giant line waits behind them) AND at the concession stand, their customer service suffers. It's terrible to the patrons who are waiting in line like everyone else! I understand that these members pay extra to cut in line. But it's bullshit! ALL cash registers serve them. It would make sense if there's one register designed specifically for the members so the others who are waiting in line could be served. But instead all AMC Stubs members are service first. The line completely backs up and halts service altogether which is HORRIBLE customer service. I have been going to this theater for 11 years. This is completely unacceptable and they have lost my service. read more

I thought Carmike was a really nice cinema. They have popcorn buckets that you can purchase for $20, and keep bringing them back for free refills for a year. What?! I wish they had those in Illinois. They also have the Coke Freestyle machine, and a butter-your-own popcorn machine. Of course, they have plenty of other concessions to choose from too. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly, and they charge your normal prices for movies (there aren't many places that are cheap anymore). This is a nice, fairly clean, newer theater, with comfy seats, but it's been bought by Carmike and they no longer accept the Rave coupons. BOOOOO! The staff seems to be very young and they can be less than helpful because of this. One night the lighted boards which listed movie titles and times were not working. So, we asked the girl selling tickets to see a schedule. She thought we were being sarcastic and just giggled. I looked at my boyfriend and then said to her, "No, really...we need to decide what movie we're seeing." She giggled until I said "Do we need to go to a different window?" Then finally found the ONLY print off of the schedule and held it up to the glass so we could see. Doesn't it seem that they should've printed off several copies and had them displayed at each station? I like the electric fireworks at Metropolis, they always put me in a good mood. read more

This theater has had some changes lately. On top of the popcorn bucket you can purchase and then bring back each visit for cheap refills, I love the butter your own popcorn station next to the Coke Freestyle machine. This option of having all your choices of flavored drinks and unlimited refills is amazing. I also love that they have an area that has games and things for kids to do while you are waiting for a movie to start seating. This is a lifesaver when you have an excited toddler wanting to get into the movie. My only complaint is about the reclining seats. If you do not want it to recline you should be able to lock it into place. This drives me crazy. The fact that the armrests between the seats comes up is genius and helps when you have a little one who halfway through the movie wants you to hold them. read more

Sometimes the staff is very backed up at the concessions, and I'm always wondering where the managers are? These poor kids work hard with little backup. Since Carmike has taken over, I'm really disappointed with how much the theatre has been downgraded. No more ticket terminals and always long, slow lines. The popcorn is dry and not worth the 20+ percent higher prices. Even the ticket billboard is broken going on 3 weeks. Just doesn't seem like they care anymore. So i recently took my mom to this location on mothers day during the matinee of civil war. By the time we got there no seats were available although they sold us a ticket. Our next option was to see the movie another time but it would be double since the matinee special. My mother asked to speak to the manager to make her happy and she did just that. Not only was she so gracious to get us 3d but refunded my ticket and refilled our $20 bucket for free. The young lady was a manager in training and was blown away by her response, quick timing, and overall communication. This is why i love this place and will always continue to come back. read more

They have horrible policy. They wouldn't let me into the movie that I have already bought tickets to. It was a very huge and annoying inconvenience. Even though We were very close to the required age for the movie, they still wouldn't let us see the movie. This is the most expensive theater on the west side. Their large soda is $6.50 which is more than a large soda at Deer Creek. It's also not nearly the best theater on the west side. Avoid it if you can. read more
