    Cubano

This was the only non-fast-food restaurant close to our hotel. It has more of a bar feel as you might expect, very clean and comfortable. The servers were friendly, and we did not have to wait long for our orders. My wife ordered the Voodoo Shrimp app but the Buffalo Shrimp was delivered. We sent back and it was corrected quickly. My Cubano sandwich was a bit different than traditional, but in a good way. However, the fries were room temp so I asked for hot fries which were delivered promptly without an attitude you sometimes get when you ask for what you're paying for. The soup of the day was pulled pork and hominy with Latin flavors - similar to pozole. I wasn't going to review, thus the partially eaten sandwich, but the Cubano was so good and the servers so understating and responsive, I decided to share our experience.

What a great experience we had at Nigh! The ambiance was very laid back and comfortable with games on the TVs and a very open layout. It wasn't overly noisy as some bars can be. Our server was attentive and checked in frequently to make sure we were ok. She had plenty of great recommendations and didn't hesitate to share her favorites. The best part was the food!!! I started with a flight of their brews and all 4 were outstanding. The Triple Lindy was a very tasty Belgian Tripel that had just the right amount of bite. The only complaint (if you can call it that) was that not all beers were listed and I didn't ask the server. Found out later there was a strawberry/pineapple sour that quickly became a new favorite. We started with Jalapeño poppers that had great flavor and the perfect crispy outer shell. Then the wings.... WOW!!! I had original buffalo and sweet chili and both flavors were seeing but not overpowering. Best yet was a subtle smoky flavor to the wing itself. It accented the sauces perfectly. The wings were pair with a blue cheese dressing that may have been the best blue cheese I've ever had. Plenty of chunks and a nice thick consistency. Would highly recommend this gem.

The food here was amazing! Would 1000% come again. The beer and cocktails were good. I'm only docking them a star because the server seemed really busy training someone and we didn't feel like our table was important to them. They also forgot a couple of sauces we asked for or to tell the bartender no sugar on the rim of my cocktail. Nothing huge, but it's the details that matter sometimes. Everything else was awesome and the environment was great. Good for date night, a solo date to watch sports, or family night.

Chose this spot because it was Close to the hotel for dinner. Was nervous about a brewery because I am more of a liquor drinker but they offered Margaritas so it was all good. Geeze $10.00 for ONE glass of Margaritas and I felt this was a very aggressive price for ONE drink. I ordered the South Western egg rolls as my meal with a side salad. It was strange that the waitress asked if we wanted our salads out first. Each of us said yes but the salads came out after we received our entrees. Not very impressed. The egg rolls were doughy and not very good. Also, the floor was extremely sticky. There were multiple tables that weren't cleaned. They were hosting a trivia night while we were there so I was able to learn a few things while I enjoyed my food.

Proximity to my hotel made Nigh Brewing an easy choice for dinner, and I am definitely glad I stopped in. I started off with a Nigh Southern Belle beer, which was a solid opening stanza given I hadn't yet decided which meal I'd be pairing it with. On the advice of my server I tried the Cubano sandwich ... it was delicious. I really liked the pepperoni slices they add to a traditional Cubano--an unexpected surprise but along with the nice crisp pickles it was perfect. I'd also be remiss to not compliment the service. My server was terrific and took the time to stop by multiple times to make sure I never had a dry glass. If you're ever in Indy and in need of a good meal in and nice clean restaurant, this gem out near the airport fits the bill.

Love this little brewpub just south of the Indy airport. Beers are pretty good. Love the tangerine hazy ipa. Service is good. Parking on site. Great location to a bunch of hotels. Convenient to the airport. If we fly out of Indy, this is a good area to check out.

Atmosphere 2* Service 3* Food 5* We were there to eat and see friends. We weren't there to play trivia. Felt like our party got put in the worst table in the house. Asked for a different table and were told no. Server in the other section didn't want another table. Their loss we tip pretty well. Music was too loud and it sounded like competing music going on. Our server disappeared for very long periods of time. The food. We ordered Pretzel and Beer Cheese. The pretzel was very soft and salty which I love. The beer cheese had no beer taste which I was super happy about. I don't like beer. Also got a Meat and Cheese Board. Also loved the Beer Cheese Ball. Zero beer taste. Didn't love the meat choices. Could have had just crackers and cheese ball and I would have been happy. Also got Salmon Caesar Salad, Steak Sandwich with MacNCheese, Homestyle Chicken Salad, Grilled Panini and Waffle Fries and a Cob Salad. Everyone was really happy with the food. The portion sizes are huge. Step up service and atmosphere and they've got a great place.

If you have a large crowd you might be challenged. But we weren't there to take in a scene and icy water was brought immediately after we seated ourselves. We were provided paper menus but also check out the digital versions! There were a couple of differences, one was only wording but did result in a side upgrade for one in our party. I got the standard burger and, with the server's recommendation, added bacon jam and aioli to make a smaller version of the double-pattied civilian burger. Delicious and right sized for me. The fries are a must. They're beer battered steak fries, crispy outside, soft and steamy inside. The pulled pork got positive reviews but looked messier than what I wanted to manage in that moment. The menu has a good variety, including a couple of vegetarian options. I was also very happy to find a rye beer with a more modest ABV as I like the spicy bitterness of rye beers but they tend to be more than I want after hiking around on a hot day. Service was great. Our server was familiar with the menu and super friendly. This spot is a great option after a hike in the area, especially if you're cringing at the thought of navigating the student crowd in Bloomington but still want a good meal and beer. Added bonus: fantastic prices.

There were about 2/3 tables full, which is good for a Sunday. Our server Jason was friendly and good about keeping track of all our requests. They have mocktails! I got the Blushing Sangria. It was delicious and nicely fruity and not too sweet. I've never drank before, but my boyfriend said it tasted like the original kind. They have a pretty extensive beer list here, and many of them are local choices. For appetizer, we got the couscous Mac and cheese balls. These are pretty close in nature to arancini, but with more cheese. My main course was their weekend dinner special, with prime rib accompanied by white cheddar mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. The prime rib was absolutely amazing, nice and tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were also great and are a very smooth consistency. For dessert, of course we had to get a pizookie! The triple chocolate delivers on its name. Served hot, it is well worth the wait after two courses of deliciousness. They have TVs around the bar area that have sports on. At the time, basketball and nascar had the most coverage. I wish they had the closed captioning on, since that makes it easier to tell what goes on if you're not right at the bar. The bathroom is kept clean there. My boyfriend and I are sure to come back on the weekday special going on, with select entrees and pizookies for $13 - what a deal! Hopefully this is sooner rather than later!

Our server was pretty great, and up front about wait times. We went when the kitchen has a crew shortage, so there was a wait for food. For appetizers: nachos were great, but if you ordered a simple nacho, it's meh, we had to add several things and added $$ to make it REAL nachos. The dip for the pork rinds was good. The table ordered truffle fries, they finished it. It was our first time trying Upland beers. Most of the options are IPA and tart beers. None of which I like. The mixed drinks menu was meh, they offer 2 hard ciders, but one was unavailable. Our server let us try samples and she was very patient. For main dishes: I ordered a Salmon BLT. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I didn't eat it with the bun, salmons was very thin, 1 piece of bacon, slice of tomato and 1 piece of lettuce. We had mac and cheese, DO NOT ORDER, it was floating in fat and there's no taste to it. Fish and chips was okay. The pizza was the highlight, it saved the night, I think. Bathrooms clearly labeled, easily seen, and clean. For 6 people, 2 of whom did not have alcoholic drinks (just water), our bill with tip was over $350. I would not come back here again, I had a better time and better food at other breweries.

For drinks, cocktails (and a few mocktails) and a smaller selection of wine are also available. I wanted to get beer but I was kind of tempted by the cocktails. My first choice was a flight that included a mix of The Tap beers and guest beers, but the waiter came back after taking the order and told me that they could only do flights with their beers but could let me sample the beers I wanted to try, so I did that, and the samples were probably around 2 oz each so I basically got half a flight. After that, I ended up ordering a real flight of their beer. The Tap beers I tried were: Kill the Lights stout (regular and barrel-aged), Tapenator dark lager, Frost Bite winter ale, Nefarious Nectar blonde. Guest beers: Jacob Leinenkugel white mocha stout, Weihanstephaner Hefeweissbier, BrewDog Winter Staycation. Not going to waste space reviewing all of these, but they were all fantastic. I was really grateful that they let me sample so many! And they also have food. The menu isn't huge but does have some variety, and it's not just basic pub food. I had the ahi tuna crunch bowl and it was pretty good! It kind of had the vibe of stuff thrown together in a poke bowl, but it worked and I thought the fish was done really well. Our waiter was wonderful! He was really friendly and just the right amount of attentive. My friend and I stayed for a while talking after we had paid and he didn't rush us out at all.
