Been here a few times and decided to wait to really give a fully fleshed review. Alas this review will be mostly this trip. Cons: I am an amc stubs premiere member and when I was in line for food the employee said "next" and they helped someone first who isn't an amc stubs member. I raised my hand and said "uh I'm a stubs member" and she said "it didn't matter". What am I paying for if it doesn't matter? This soured my experience before I even started watching the movie. Parking also can be pretty bad dependent on the time of day. Pros: Nice new theater with all the amenities in terms of the seating and how to view the movie - Laser, 3D etc. The MacGuffins Bar is a nice touch. Clean inside. Spacious. Situated in a plaza with a lot of food establishments nearby for post movie activities. read more

This is our family's go-to movie theater and honestly the only one we really like going to. It's close to home, clean, modern, and always feels well maintained. The theaters are on the smaller side, which we actually prefer because it feels less crowded and more comfortable. The heated reclining seats are the best. The staff has always been friendly, parking can be challenging on weekends but the trick is to park in the back vs the front, and the overall experience is consistently good. read more

We came to this AMC location because it happens to have the right timing for the movie we wanted to watch -- Project Hail Mary. The theater is smaller than the Topanga location, but super clean and easy to navigate. The people are very friendly. The reclining leather chairs are large and comfortable. Excellent picture and sound quality. We easily found parking in the large lot when we arrived but quickly realized how popular this area is as we were leaving with many cars circling for a spot, and one that slowly followed us as we headed to ours. We plan to return to dine, shop and watch movies here more often. We also noticed the Farmer's Market on our way out. Another reason to return! read more

This AMC in Porter Ranch is spacious a& beautifully decorated, featuring a convenient bar right at the entrance. The surrounding area is great for a day out, with plenty of shopping at Nordstrom and a Whole Foods right next door. The theater is large and the reclining seats make for a comfortable experience, though I think physical buttons for the seat controls would be a bit easier to use. I snuck in a cookie, gummy & a brownie to enjoy during the show ;) The visuals for the Super Mario Galaxy movie were absolutely stunning, I felt completely immersed in the world. Fun place! They are very good at coming in at the end of the movie to clean up. It is very dark in the theater, so I would suggest if you notice anything that bothers you then you should bring it to the attention of the staff. The staff was very responsive to anything that I needed cleaned up. I like getting popcorn freshly popped. There are more choices at different AMCs but I do get the nachos often and these are offered at all the theaters. Parking can get crowded but that just means you may have to walk more. Get there early and you can try any of the nearby restaurants. read more

Dazzling images at AMC Porter Ranch 9 at The Vineyards at Porter Ranch outdoor mall - dining, entertainment and shopping experience. Is tucked slightly back, so you don't notice if you first turn in off Porter Ranch Drive, like most. It's passed Nordstrom Rack, between Ulta (Beauty) and Finney's Crafthouse and looks great during the day but even more stunning at night with that gorgeous Red and White glow for AMC w/ Dolby Cinema. I've been lucky enough to see a few things at this theater over the years and most recently had a great movie date with my novio/boyfriend. Parking was super easy, we got something on the main row w/ the theater in perfect eyeline just passed a lot of the EV station spots. We got seats ahead of time using the AMC mobile app. And made our way in, greeted and guided by the ticket scanner. We took in an even more stylish lobby w/ a full crew at concessions, a savvy bartenders at the MacGuffins Bar and plenty of room to navigate. Also having just gone on a walk prior to our show since we arrive a bit early, we wanted to hydrate and found some water cups, easy to access and had plenty via their Coca-Cola freestyle machines. Restrooms are pretty pristine with a set of them when you first turn down the iconic man hall Nicole once strutted. They have even more as you go down the hall that I hadn't noticed before as I typically see a lot in Dolby and Prime. Theater 5 was just as nice as those and I'm assuming any. Picture and sound were amazing. And those seats extra clean and extra cozy. We joked that we almost feel asleep because it was like watching movies at home together holding hands, but then the action kicked in and we were super in to it lol. Definitely and AMC I recommend not just for the significance in nostalgia, but also the experience #TheyMakeMoviesBetter Open as early as 9:30am, earliest show at 10am until 11PM give or take for their last shows. read more

This is a great movie theater in the valley. Parking in this lot is always insane so would recommend coming early for your showtime. Shows have around 25 minutes of trailers/ads now so there is some buffer time. Booking tickets ahead of time is easy on the AMC app, prices are pretty high for movie tickets in general but I have the monthly subscription so I can't complain about the regular prices. I like this theater in particular because the seats are great (reclining & heat option in most theaters), however, tickets book up quickly because the overall theater is on the smaller side. read more

This AMC location is great! The popcorn is always fresh and I enjoy the different appetizers they have like the Street Corn Poppers. I will say that sometimes the mobile orders take a little longer than expected based on the order times. Staff are generally friendly and I've never had any issues with the theaters themselves. It has a very classic AMC feel and the bar area is nice. Definitely plan to arrive before your showtime as it can be hard to find parking because of how busy the plaza is. Cell service is spotty sometimes but I find that the AMC wifi takes care of my service issues. Overall, a great spot to catch a movie! read more

Another great movie experience here at AMC Porter Ranch! This theater is top notch! Side Note: This is not the theaters fault at all but today I was a little bit bothered when I got to my seat and a family with 3 kids were sitting next to me and my entire seat was covered with popcorn and a buttery mess. The parents didnt care that I had to deal with that and make a trip back to the concession stand to get a ton of napkins to protect my clothing from soaking up the butter and staining. Please be aware of others and have a little concern for the fact that they paid for a ticket and expect not to have things like this effect their overall experience. read more

The best cell phone service here is ATT, and second (probably) is T-Mobile, but Verizon here doesn't work (be careful because it automatically connects you to "Emergency Service Only". Luckily, they provide free Wi-Fi service. Great spacious entrance. Food concession on the left side (popcorn, merchandise, food orders), merchandise in the center left side, drinks straight ahead towards the back end, and on the right side, fully stock bar with plenty of seating. read more

Really nice clean theater. The seats function well and all recline. There's a lot of space for people to recline and others to walk by. On nights and weekends, the parking gets challenging as this is a popular plaza. The sound is great. I just wish there was a large imax screen. read more

Always love coming to this theater! Love the newness. The seats can heat up and recline. I'm a regular here. Staff is nice. It's always Clean. And I obviously have a great experience. The parking in the lot can be tough. It's usually always full because of the other restaurants and stores that are around, but it's worth it all. Of course there's great concessions and they even have a nice little bar area for anyone who likes additional refreshments. They have a lovely seating area as well and all in all it's just a fantastic Theater. I love AMC. read more

AMC Porter Ranch has been our go-to theater since it opened. The kids love coming here for their movie dates with friends, and as AMC Premier members, our tickets are always free. It makes it super easy for us to take them to every movie they want to see. Just this week, we watched Elio and How to Train Your Dragon, and a few weeks ago we caught Lilo & Stitch. The only thing I just can't stand about this place is the lack of service and the fact that the WiFi never works. It's a huge pain, especially when we're out for a date night and can't be sure if someone can get in touch with us in case of an emergency with the kids. Also, parking can be challenging because of all the other businesses in the area. Overall, we love this theater and its vibe, but I really hope they fix the connectivity issue soon. I have an A24 membership and try to check out a free A24 film screening at a different theater, and this one has become my favorite so far! It's one of the newest theaters around, so everything still looks modern, stylish, and super clean. My favorite time to go is Sunday morning -- it's quiet, there's plenty of parking, and it feels like you have the place to yourself. I didn't try the food or drinks this time, but there's a bar offering adult beverages if you want to make it a full experience. The recliner seats were spacious, heated, and incredibly comfortable. I love that this AMC branch frequently comes up with unique bar drinks that relate to movie releases or holidays. Recently on Valentine's day there were plentiful Valentine's themed drinks! When my boyfriend and I want to splurge, we try out one of those special drinks from the bar here. Although next time we probably will only share one because we both didn't finish the drinks. Lately we have been satisfied with getting a nice large popcorn with nachos and cheese. Parking is always full on the days we come here, so definitely don't come here late to a movie showing. Trailers are a decent anount of time and aren't too long. The staff here usually clean up pretty often and I never see any horrible messes. I like the lobby area where you can sit down and relax at. The Dolby Cinema is top notch in terms of sound and screen size. The recliners are set up in pairs with sharing an arm rest but you are still side by side with others. You can adjust the reclining angle of the seats and the seats I have been on always work. They're not overly comfortable but they are still nicely padded. If I were to watch a movie that I wanted to enjoy the experience for, I'd usually opt to go here! read more

If you've been to an AMC theater, you've seen the Nicole Kidman ad. This is where that legend begins. This theater is relatively new, modern, and is a great place to go see a movie. Parking: The theater is located in a shopping plaza and shares parking with all other businesses and is free. You can park in front or behind the theater. There are EV chargers in the front near the theater. The charging rate at the time of this review was $4/hr via ChargePoint. Amenities: The theater is a small theater with just 9 screens. They are all regular features with some 3D. There is one Dolby and one Prime auditorium. Ticketing: There are no external kiosks but there are 3 immediately once you enter the lobby on the left. I recommend ordering your tickets online since this is a reserved seating theater. Food: They carry all the normal popcorn, drinks, and candy as well as the expanded food selection of hot foods like chicken tenders, flatbreads, curly fries, etc. This location also has a MacGuffins bar. Lobby: This theater has one of the nicest lobbies I've seen with ample, comfortable seating for you to hang out before or after your movie. It's located immediately inside the lobby with the massive glass windows/wall. Seats: This theater has upgraded recliner seats. These seats are softer and less plasticy than the normal recliner seats you find at AMC. The theaters have the walkways on the sides and what seats you see as center in the app, are actually centered in the theater. read more

Second and last time visiting this theater all due to one rude girl at the concessions stand. I asked for garlic sauce for the pizza and she said we don't have it without checking, I said it's on your menu on the app, then she checks and is like oh there it is.... I asked for a small icee only to be told there's one size and it's huge, I asked if i can have a kids size cup....nope she said I'd have to buy the kids pack for that, which would end up costing more Than the icees... does amc or this location not take into account that not everyone wants a large bucket of icee, not offering small sizes or allowing kids Size drink cups is STUPID. I then asked for water for my dog, she gave me a tiny cup with no lid and when I asked for a lid she said that's the only one they have and it Doesnt come with a lid. She did not want to give me a kid size cup with a lid under any circumstance, the water was spilling as I was carrying it into the theater, which can be a liability for the theater.... But what do I know. is this how you serve your guests? I'm truly disgusted. And to top it off she did not scan my large $43 order for points on the app which looks like she did that on purpose. When I went back in line to ask for my points she was dismissive, didn't want to hear anything I said. She said that can be done at pick up (which I knew it can't) I went and asked them and another team member said we don't do that here and I said she told me to come here saying I can get them here (pointing at the girl) and she didn't even mention scanning my points when I was paying. She also did not tell us that we left our paid iced cups at the counter and she knew it, she did not bother to tell us we forgot those, so my sister told the manager about that. Also, what type of theater serves pizza and doesn't offer crushed pepper? Everything was $$$ and tasted awful, pizza was the worst. 2 drinks at the bar cost us $42 - that is ridiculous. Overall, with amc being priced higher than Cinemark in every way, this was unacceptable service. My local Cinemark has never once acted this way over a cup of water nor been so inconsiderate of another person the way this girl was. What a shameful employee representing your brand and company. Due to her I no longer feel comfortable returning, nothing is worth the up charge on literally everything vs the competitor and definitely not rude employees that like to bully people for no reason. I haven't been to this movie theater in a couple of years, since I'm rarely in the area! I decided to check it out last night and it was just as amazing as I remember! It's still a pretty new movie theater and they do an amazing job of keeping it clean and well maintained. As soon as you walk in, there is a huge lobby area, with comfy seating. Since it was nighttime when I arrived, there was plenty of seating. I took a seat and relaxed for a bit and noticed the bar, as well as specials they are running. They have a happy hour 5-7pm, so I definitely need to return for that! The theater itself was very clean and the seats were large and comfortable. My movie was in the Prime theater, so the sound quality was superb! The picture quality was great too. Even in the back row, I had a great view of the screen! I just love the AMC Porter Ranch 9. Made famous by the iconic Nicole Kidman AMC commercial that has become our pop cultural zeitgeist, it really is as nice as it looks on that commercial that plays before every AMC films. It is one of the newest AMC Theaters in Los Angeles, and as such, it receives some of the most modern and luxurious amenities like reclining leather seats for all the theaters, as well as a few rooms with heated seats. The Dolby Room 1 is especially a treat, as you also get speakers for each seats for an added layer of immersiveness. There are only 9 rooms, but there's not a budget room anywhere. As usual, the popcorn and snacks are delicious, and there is a bar for adult drinks, too. The two sets of bathroom ate modern and clean, and rarely have problematic plumbing like the AMC Burbank 16 can. The only slight negative point, which is t really their fault is the lack of cell phone service inside. It seems to be getting better, and as an AMC A-List member, you do have their complimentary wifi, but if you are trying to coordinate things with people or have to receive a text once inside, you may run into challenges. Thank goodness for AMC A-List reservations and Entourage though. You can reserve seats ahead of time for you AND fellow AMC A-List friends! read more

Felt the need to leave a new review since it's been a while and also because of our experience from last night. This is our go to and they are usually pretty good about giving a box to share popcorn but the last few months, they've either been out of boxes completely and offered a weird bag option, out of salt, or just plain messy. Popcorn all over the floor, drink spilled, just a mess. Hot dog quality has gone down as well. The buns used to be super soft and now it's straight out of the bag as if they don't heat it up anymore? Idk. Last night they gave us a tiny bowl thing that you usually see at lunch rooms for like a small taco or something, that was what they offered to share popcorn. The problem is, you can't shake up or mix the popcorn like you normally would to mix the butter and salt. Do they expect us to not want butter or salt? Or just for the first scoop and that's it? It would honestly be nice if they offered boxes all the time to share, they can afford it for sure. Otherwise, let us put butter and salt half way through filling up the bucket. That sounds like a solution. lol. It just feels like they've been cutting down and being "cheap" lately which is sad since this is Porter Ranch and one of the better locations/areas. 09/11/2025 This was the rudest encounter I've ever had with a manager & employee. I had went to purchase a demon slayer cup & was told they didn't get any other than one character. I was in the middle of purchasing it when the guy next to me asked for the cup I was looking for that they "didn't receive" the manager brings it out & I told the employee that's the one I had asked for. She then tells me "we only got ONE, you going to buy this cup or not" with a nasty attitude & the manager just stands there useless. I told her she needed to watch her attitude & she says "really... you need to watch your attitude" & the manager then tells me I need to stop harassing her or he won't sell me the cup & he would kick me out the theatre. I don't know the kind of managers & employees they have but if they had just checked instead of holding the one for a friend then I wouldn't be writing this review. I recommend the smaller theatre with signature recliners. It's always a good time when you have enough space and some room to breathe. Also with the signature recliners, you can stay in your seat when someone has to use the restroom, also staying reclined! read more

Enjoyed this theatre in the past. Plenty if parking. Ordering tickets in the AMC App is convenient. Very quiet this early on NYE. No long lines for concessions. Prices were a bit high but it's been a while since I have been to a movie. A medium fountain drink was $6.50. Staff were attentive and friendly. The drink area was a bit messy with liquid spills and trash. The lobby area was very nice and spacious and there was a bar in a smaller lounge area. We saw our movie in Dolby and reclined seats-those tickets were a little more as well. It was a very pleasurable viewing experience. Tip: download app to purchase tickets and join rewards program. This AMC theatre is always nice and clean. Is newly built so it has a trendy look with modern furniture. Nice leather electrical seats with cool/heat. The lines for regular or AMC Stub members are decent and move fast. They have nine theaters which is perfect. It's never too overcrowded and it's quiet. They have a nice bar with specialty drinks. I love this movie theatre because it's located near several varieties of eateries( Finney's, Gus Barbecue, Lure, and the Whole Foods grocery store, etc. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating. read more

Although it seems like the movies are dying, I had a really great time watching Nobody2 I didn't get popcorn, but I got me a drink at the McGuffin's and it was your typical corporate poor but I enjoyed the show and the seats were nice and the view was great cause I got one right in the middle. Parking - plenty of free parking I came to see American Fiction (soooo good and can see it again - that is how good this movie is - now have to read the book, Erasure, which it is based on). We waited outside for like 15 minutes because they're cleaning the auditorium. But upon seating down, I have noticed that they haven't clean very well.
