Friendly spot in the middle of the valley. The Food- 1) The Sweater Burger- Was delicious and huge. If you like a burger with some heat to it I would highly recommend. 2) Fries- For $2 you can add some fries to your burger and they were hot and crispy. Definitely worth the money. 3) Beer- Nice and Cold. Service- Friendly and pretty attentive. I was surprised that there appeared to be only the bartender working at both the bar and the restaurant but it was not busy so he was able to do a good job. Parking- Shares a large parking lot with many other businesses and I had not trouble finding a good spot. One Negative- I know that a lot of restaurants have gone with asking you to view their menu on your phone but this is the first place I have been to that did not have an actual menu on hand if you wanted to see it as not everybody wants to look at a menu on their phone. read more

This was my first time here, and I was a bit confused at first about whether we were supposed to order at the bar or if someone would come to take our order. Eventually, a server did come by, but the service was on the slower side and they seemed a bit overwhelmed. First time here after living in the valley my whole life. Inside has this Halloween goth vibe to it. Theres plenty of seating and TVs to watch games. They have a good selection of beer. When I went they had three different kinds of Mexican lagers. The food was not bad at all! I usually don't expect much from bar food so when it's good it makes me want to go back. I got the fish and chips and it was delicious and the portion size was good too. The fish was battered enough with the fish still tasting freshly cooked and the fries were nice and crispy. Loved the idea of having a local "dive" bar close to my home in Porter ranch. First time I went, it was clear that this place is a gathering spot for regulars which is awesome to see. There's a large selection of draft beers and the nachos were huge and loaded with deliciousness. I visited a second time probably within 3-5 weeks and unfortunately the experience was less than stellar. Although I understand not wanting to staff both a bartender and a server when a small business isn't sure how busy they'll be, the fact that there were a couple tables of 4 people and people sitting at the bar, meant I needed to go up to the bar to order as the bartender wasn't coming around. We ordered the nachos again, but this time it was sub-par as though they ran out of some of the ingredients. Then to top it off, they charged regular price rather than the happy hour price for my beers which was one of the draws to this place. I've been only been to Taps a handful of times, but my experience has always been positive. The Bar staff is friendly, they're always willing to engage in conversation with the patrons. They offer prompt service, they have great knowledge of the different beers; they've made some great recommendations that I still drink today. . They have a medium size bar with a good amount of seats and plenty of seating around. Their bar food is good, I've only tried the regular stuff. Strangest experience, literally just walked out of this place. Wanted to grab a bite and some brews. Two dudes were in the front patio area drinking so I popped in. I asked the bartender if I could sit at the bar and he said "no, I'm still cleaning." Didn't ask us to sit at a table or offer a drink or take any orders, so I just stood around for a few minutes until one of the dudes outside came in and ordered another round of drinks for him and his friend at which the bartender immediately provided. Two of our party loved the burgers! My friend had the BLT and the bacon was very crisp - too well done. Also the mayo was spicy and she scraped a lot off. I had the hummus wrap with added grilled chicken. It was delicious and huge. But it took a long time to receive it. My friends were half way done with their food when I finally got my order. What a find!!!! Came in during lunch on a Tuesday, was pretty dead but that didn't keep the wonderful bartnder/hostess/server from being so nice and attentive! She let us try a few beers before we made our choices. I went with their "cider" and it was delicious! Also a high ABV so that buzz came quickly Happy hour is mon-fri 12-6pm and have good choices for apps and snackies while you have a drink. A few tables outside with heaters, a full bar, and booth seating inside with a few tvs for sports & UFC. The food was so good!!!!! Seriously one if the top spicy chicken sandwiches I have had. It was so nice to be back at Taps, a gastropub on Devonshire, in Northridge. What pulls us here is their fish tacos. In my opinion, they are still reigning as one of the best, if not the best fish tacos. I was also impressed, that since my last visit (a long while back), the marvel of this dish remains untainted and is still superbly prepared. There is a fair portion of fried fish, optimum crispness, perfect serving temperature. Condiments infuse well, to capture the satisfying bite and mouth feel. Eat it slowly, so you can savor and enjoy the moment. Also ordered wings. They were over fried, tough in places and dry, but had a tasty sauce. Service was very slow, due to understaffing it seemed, but professional. We had to do additional leg work to order and pay. A small price to pay, and worth, for those fantastic fish tacos. read more

Overall, the food was tasty. These are full size burgers, so come hungry. So the reason I had two burgers was because they did mess up my order the first time. I wanted the Standard, but received the Swiss Alp instead. I took a bite of the Swiss Alp, and while it is actually quite good, I wanted to have the Standard. Second misorder was when I asked for a refill for water, but was given a 2nd glass of beer instead. I wasn't planning to drink a 2nd glass, but it's fine, since I wasn't charged for the 2nd beer and I did have a little of it (had a drive, so I didn't want to drink a lot). The only real demerit was service was a little slow even though it was super busy. Otherwise, this is a nice little bar restaurant with good food and a big screen to watch Monday Night Football. Finally got to try this spot the other night with some good friends! Had a party of 10 and they were able to accommodate our party size just fine. We had some tables put together near the entrance. It's a tiny spot so there was only one waiter who was also the bartender but he didn't do bad at all! I believe his name is Edgar? He managed to remember our orders just fine and even the checks! We went up to pay at the end since he was busy and that way we didn't have to keep waiting and he was able to split the checks just fine. We ordered some burgers, pizza, tenders, cauliflower wings (lemon pepper flavor), and the fried Mac n cheese to share for the table. We all had a really fun time and their drink selection was on point. Although I only had an iced tea, everyone enjoyed the drinks they got! I loved the cauliflower wings and pizza. Hidden gem in Northridge! I used to come to this place 15+years ago when it was a Mexican restaurant, I was craving tacos so I decided to stop by since I was in the area. When I saw the name change I checked out the Yelp and saw the positive reviews so I decided to try it out for myself. I ordered the pulled pork nachos and turkey bacon sandwich, both were perfection. The nachos are HUGE and can easily feed 4 people, the sandwich comes on a nice buttery lightly toasted white bread with turkey , cheddar , bacon , lettuce , tomato and mayo(chipotle I think). The flavor on the nachos and sandwich were on point , the fries taste homemade from fresh potatoes, I will definitely be back.
