I have a whole new appreciation for the AMC and enjoyed it so much we came and watched the F1 movie with Brad Pitt twice. What makes it enjoyable is the IMAX screen for these movies, I love the AMC Iphone application for making reservations and picking my seating. Another plus for this location is you drive to the parking deck and go to the top floor and walk in within 50 yards of the AMC just above the food court. I ended up joining there Stubs program and get a discount and since I'm a senior I get another discount and then another discount going during the lunch hour. WTF!!! $40 got me Coke, Popcorn & a Movie I paid $5 almost 41 years ago to watch again. What has happened America ? Anyways I decided to go see 41st Anniversary of THIS IS SPINAL TAP! Movie is amazing and thanks AMC for bring to big theater one more time. But man the issue of getting a ticket online of coarse and then trying to buy snacks is an absolute nightmare. 2 credit cards to just buy a ticket. And no human takes your order at the treat area. It's become all subhuman automation these days. No wonder people stop going to theaters. So no staff to complain about that's good but it would be nice for humans to take back the jobs now occupied by droids... Seat was clean and area around it so I'm happy no rats are feeding off leftover popcorn. Now that I've thought about it I'm giving you a 2 star review vs 1 star. I enjoyed seeing a movie here recently - The Backrooms extended edition. I appreciated that it was offered when I didn't see it playing at other theaters in my area. Purchased the tickets in advance, had to select your seats. This seems very unnecessary to me, and ended up moving down the row anyway. My heart will always belong to AMC if only because I remember the good times when I lived in Burbank and I'd meet my friends there every week to take in a movie. The PNW doesn't have a lot of AMCs, so it was nice to be here. I'm torn about the recliner seats- I was disappointed because I thought they'd be the automated seats that lift your feet and cradle you like a baby. However, I was also charmed by the old fashioned seats so I don't know if I want them there or for them to be updated to modern standards. I liked the Coke soda fountain where you can modify your drink and they have been programmed to suggest new mixtures which I wanted to try so badly, but didn't notice until after my movie. before the movie even starts, I'm giving this theater, to be specific theater 8 a big zero. I think the seats came over on the Titanic for starters. old, super, dirty, as in mystery stains, uncomfortable. I was glad we didn't get food because I didn't want to touch anything after sitting in our seats. the equivalent of standing face to face with the gum wall if the gum wall were in a seedy motel! for the price of tickets this theater needs to put some money into new seats and new floors. the floors looked like they haven't been cleaned in years and missing tiles. and don't even get me started on the smell or the fact that it's still 75 degrees out at 7:30pm there was no noticeable a/c! worst movie theater experience ever!!! Watched the Korean film "Oldboy" (20th Anniversary with bonus conversation with Director) in auditorium 12. They offer student & military pricing in-person. Pleasant viewing experience. It was an evening showing, so the theater was moderately clean. Screen & sound quality was fine. Bathrooms were okay (not the cleanest or dirtiest). I liked how this theater is located on the 3rd floor & was close by to my hotel & nearby restaurants. The mall also has a decent amount of shops & is aesthetically pleasing. This is for the gal working as a cashier 10/20 at 7pm, with facial piercings and long black hair. Do not work a customer service job if you're just going to treat people like garbage. My husband had asked a question because we were surprised our order was called out instantly after paying, he was just curious if they had the mozzarella sticks no big deal, we were in no rush. She literally looked at us and said in the most condensing tone "THIS is what you get NOW". It was so weird. This AMC Theater is located in the Southcenter Mall on the third floor. This is a very good theater, it's very clean and has a great IMAX auditorium. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the concessions are affordable. I highly recommend this AMC theater location. read more

Two Stars for the Toilet Paper Holder on the first stall on the Left side. Look at it. How can anyone get roll working if it's Crooked. 5 star. The Movie theater itself is new than Pacific Place. So it's cleaner and has Dolby with recliners and Imax. Not all theaters there have Recliners. Service is 3 Stars. I have to wait for the Popcorn guy to return back to the front and Plus Had to get his Attention. So he could retrieve my Chicken Fingers. It sat there for 5 mins or more. We go here for movies because it's close. Really that's the main reason. It's fine. Not the cleanest. Not the worst. Staff is friendly. Mostly they show what's playing though they sometimes don't show the limited films. There are some oddish regulars here who tend to hang out in the rooms. I'm positive there are tons of people who wander from room to room without paying. It's generally a peaceful and peaceable crowd though. What I don't like is that they very often, more often than not it seems, do not close the doors when the movie starts so you can hear everything from outside and all around. This reflects that generally it doesn't seem they stray from the front of house often to go check on the rooms. I usu close the doors myself. read more

Definitely ran down and outdated. My 15 year old son jokingly said that it reminded him of the beginning of a horror film as we walked towards the entrance. Honestly just no... Grabbed some last minute tickets to see beetle juice after lunch at Cheesecake Factory and were told we couldn't take our bagged and boxed left overs into the theatre. I get the 'no outside food' rules, but this is a mall surrounded by restaurants, literally above a food court. We obviously weren't going to eat left over pasta and salads with our hands at a random 3:30 matinee, we had clearly just come from a meal and barely were making it to the showing in time. Had to walk back to the car on the opposite side of the mall and back missed the first 15 mins. I keep trying to give this place a shot but there's always something about it. read more

Good AMC. Definitely not the most comfortable seating, but we enjoyed the movie and concession snacks. It was fairly clean and well kept. Though there was a huge line at the snack stand, it did take a while. Just remember to arrive a little earlier in case you wanted some soda and popcorn! read more

Faux leather recliner seats & 21+ menu would bump it up to 5 stars BUT that aside, it has what I like and I prefer it to a few other theaters. *Fresh popcorn..there are just enough attendees they gotta pop it constantly!! *Contact-less ticket & concession stand *Prompt & responsive staff *Nice seats *Good quality screens, and IMAX theaters have better seats & more spacious rows *Reserved audience. The movie I saw (Mad Max, Furiosa) was good, but my SENIOR ticket on May 25 at 5 pm cost $16.00 dollars! Seriously, AMC??? There were regular theater chairs (not recliners), and the usual outdated food choices; popcorn, sodas, and fast food, all served up at a hefty price. But the killer: The movie was supposed to start at 5:10 pm, but was preceded by not 2-3 but by TEN previews! There were so many, and they came so fast that it was difficult to tell them apart, except the one starring Emma Stone that didn't seem to have guns in it. Well, there was also a comedic look at Will and Martin doing another Bad Boys movie. For the rest, hard to tell if people or GUNS were the stars. As a result, the movie started 25-30 minutes later. One plus: the restrooms were clean and relatively empty. The movie theater industry will never make a comeback with this kind of operation. read more

All tickets are now bought online or at a self-service kiosk. The concessions are also ordered via kiosks with staff calling out your order number. No free refills anymore. The bad side of using the kiosks to get food is that people weren't paying attention for when one opened up. You can reserve seats in advance, too. The recliners they've added are nice. They aren't as nice as the ones at the Cinemark in Bellevue or the ipic, of course, but they are better than regular movie seats. read more

This movie theater has been a pretty good spot ever since it opened up after the pandemic. No long lines to buy tickets or order refreshments since they have the electronic touch-screen kiosks to place the orders and buy movie tickets. You can even use your discounted vouchers using the machines as well. Most recent visit was on Monday, 6/21/21, to watch A Quiet Place Part II movie. Our seats were all the way in the back and noticed one of the seats still had old popcorn and leftover drinks. Not sure why it wasn't cleaned up prior to us getting in. Sound and seats were comfortable. Liked the spacing inside the theater as well. The location is easy to get around at, buy tickets, order food and drinks. The restrooms are easily accessible as well. Love the Dolby & IMAX options, sanitation issues Although I do love that they have some of the best screens to see movies in the area, the sanitation of this place needs to be addressed. I went to 2 movies this weekend, and both times the seats and floor were filthy. Sticky floor from spilled unclean soda, sticky cup holders, popcorn leftover. They don't clean between full theater showings. Also my partners seat didn't recline in the Dolby theater (yet they continue to sell it). The hand dryers in the men's bathroom have mold growing on them. I feel like this theater is being ignored and left to fall apart. Which makes me sad since they have great screens and sound. read more

Our favorite is Factoria 8, but if you want a wider selection of restaurants and shopping nearby, with most of the usual amenities at the theater, this theater is a good runner up. Plenty more screens, but not all have the recliners. read more

Came here to watch Hunter Killer. The theater was pretty empty on a Saturday night. I was pretty surprised. I usually go to Regal for movies in the USA but never really AMC. First time here at this theater but not the first time to Southcenter. I was hoping better seats. Sound system was ok but the seats were brutal. Yes the seats were worn out. Also the theater was very dirty. They didn't clean after the last showing (or they forgot). Seats have seen better days and definitely not comfy at all. The screen in the theater room #13 was not big at all. Very disappointed. It was interesting how they have police officers hanging out at night at this theater. Not sure why. Maybe... its not safe at night here? Who knows? Best part is that they have free parking. They are located inside Southcenter mall. read more

Honestly? I'm not usually a movie person. I recently discovered a 21+ theater and that's definitely going to be my normal place, but when you're already in the area and your date suggests extending things with a movie...ya go to the AMC, right? Like a lot of places thee days, there's a self-serve kiosk to purchase tickets. Instead of buying your ticket and figuring sitting out when you get there, this place reserves seats (which I think is the norm now??). That means if you're going to a popular movie you've gotta move fast because they don't have a "soft reserve" that holds your selection while you pay and sometimes you have to start over due to the seats being snatched up *sigh*. Typical stadium seating we all expect to see in a movie theater. Seats aren't the super fancy recliner kind, but they were comfy enough. The theater itself was clean and well maintained. If I'm going to go to a movie I'd prefer to go to the fancier places (with beer!!), but for the area this theater is perfectly acceptable. read more

Had lots of time to kill in Seattle while waiting on a flight so we took the bus from SeaTac to this theater to watch a movie. The particular theater (9) that our movie was in was huge-- the biggest one I've ever been in with the cushy reclining seats. Sound was a bit loud but very clear as was the picture quality. Theater was clean and employees were friendly. We saw a 12:30 movie so prices were 30% off. Nice way to kill a few hours. read more

Let me first start off by saying the staff are super helpful and friendly. We were having issues with our paper vouchers and they were ready to help. They totally deserve 5 stars. However, I wish they would update their seats. For a very busy theater, it would be good to have those fancy chairs like most of the other theaters. I definitely prefer AMC over Regal, but regal has those couch-like, electric reclining chairs that are awesome. I heard the Kent station one has been upgraded and I hope Southcenter is next. The concessions were great, lots of options and you can even order yourself via their touchscreen kiosks. Again, if you have any sort of coupon, must ask the staff to assist as that can also be a challenge. Popcorn was hot and fresh. I love the do-it-yourself butter station as well! I love lots of butter in my popcorn. I also noticed they had their cardboard trays near the soda fountains to aid in sharing said popcorn, because if you have a husband who LOVES popcorn and will eat it all if I'm not careful, these trays sure do help! Went for snacks before my movie and an employee named something like Willa or wilma (I didn't get a good look at it it was in the bottom of the concessions computer) was very nice and clearly trying their best to learn and work hard in concessions. The theater was very clean and the ambiance in the area was good. However, I will say the theater is showing it's age a little. Many of the seats were stained and much darker in color than the vibrant red it should be. The row I sat in had the seat back directly in front of me was missing. Finally, the floors were a little sticky. I say these things not to get down on the staff because I found them very attentive and efficient getting in and out trying to keep the area clean and clear. I really enjoyed the expanded concessions menu and the people in the theater were well behaved and respectful of turning off their phone during the movie. Overall I approve of this spot and encourage anyone to bring family and friends to enjoy a movie. Just be prepared for the well-worn environment. I hope you find my words helpful. read more

Went to see a movie last Thursday evening. Theatre was well kept. Restrooms were maintained. Theatre seats weren't very comfortable, but the way the theatre is set up, you don't have any problems viewing the screen from any seat. I would give 3 stars except: While waiting in line to see the movie in the lobby, asked to use the restroom and was denied access. Was told I had to go one floor below and use the food court mall restroom. Don't understand their policy. Other theatres let you in to use the restrooms.
