Although the concessions is overpriced it isn't to bad if you only go to the movies every once in a while. I also saw that there was a bar which the bar tender was just absolutely wonderful and made me a very delicious drink. Over the course of history, movie theaters have come a long way. Some have expanded their menus to include more than just overpriced popcorn and enamel deteriorating candy. Some upgraded their seats. Most even serve alcohol! But AMC....is just another theater. Seriously, there is nothing special about this place. In fact, it kind of highlights the reason the theater industry is slowly dying down. Why would I come to a place like this when my other two choices are.. 1.) Go to Chunky's or something with a similarly elaborate configuration or.. 2.) Better yet, stay home and stream where my couch doesn't chaff my calves and the surround sound is louder? Yeah. Those were the two biggest eyesores I noticed about AMC. The reclining chairs have a footrest that feels like it was made out of metal rods and plywood. And the surround sound is pretty underwhelming, if we're being honest. Maybe it's because we weren't sitting in iMax but....I dunno. Also, the popcorn is okay, but again....Chunky's does it better. Besides, you have to butter your own popcorn. This wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that it inevitably means you can't layer your butter. Look it up. It's a thing. ALSO also, the welcome lobby is a little confusing, given the exit doors are on either side of the entrance doors in the center, leading directly to an old school style ticket booth. Only thing is, if you're picking up tickets you ordered online, that's not the place where you scan the QR code. You go around to the side entrance door where a person behind a podium scans your code. It's like a mini labyrinth. Thanks, I hate it! Oh, and apparently (at least, at the time of writing this review) this location doesn't serve alcohol. Bummer, I know. Seems kind of....retro, actually. That's probably the best way to describe this theater: retro. Other than that, there's not much to say about AMC, really. It's...just another movie theater. Frankly, I think these types of theaters should be phased out entirely as the "eat-in style" theaters continually improve their amenities. Props to them for having their own customer Wi-Fi, at least. Typical AMC, over-priced. The weather forced us to look for something indoors. The seats definitely needed to be cleaned as they were a little sticky and had a slight odor. They sold us the wrong tickets to an earlier showtime that was already halfway through, after verbally telling us we had the tickets for the time and theater that we wanted. Then they kicked us out of our seats because of their screw-up. No refund for the food and drink we already bought, and we were only met with apathy when told that they ruined our anniversary. I was there last week to see "The Barbie Movie". We loved the theater. It's well maintained and has easy access for those with mobility issues. The chairs are comfortable recliners, and there's not a bad seat in the house! The only issue is the pricing. One drink alone can cost about $10 . Tickets will also be an issue for those looking to save money. It cost us well over $30 for 3 people. They do have "$5 Ticket Tuesdays" where you can book a showing for anytime on Tuesday, and provided that the tickets are purchased on Tuesday, each ticket costs $5. read more

I am a premiere member. I enjoy getting the 3 free movies. However, it becomes an uncomfortable visit for many reasons. Last night the seats I purchased were broken. They did not recline but we're plugged in. So I had to move elsewhere which was frustrating. Then, 30 minutes into the movie I didn't more time watching the mouse running around my seat than the movie. I understand things like this happen but it's not the first time. I've seen this at this theatre on several occasions. If makes for an uncomfortable experience when you are more concerned about a mouse climbing up your seat and can't enjoy the movie. I remember reporting a mouse about a month ago to an employee and they just shrugged and stated it's the norm.... Very disturbing. read more

Order number was rejected as invalid when submitted to online refund page. No way to contact AMC to resolve problem. Disputed charge as "Merchandise/Services not delivered". Unreliable web page means you can't order on line for reserved seat(s). You can purchase at box office at show time, but you may be turned away due to a full theater. Won't be going to AMC in the future. Not worth my time and money. read more

I had previous good experience at AMC theaters but this movie theater was so dirty. The bathrooms reeked like urine and the floors were so sticky to walk on. My fiancée used the women's restroom and she said it was the exact same except it was out of toilet paper too. The ground throughout the theater was covered in popcorn pieces and candy wrappers. The station where you can dress up your popcorn was absolutely disgusting. I'm glad I didn't end up getting popcorn because it was so filthy. There were at least 5 people working the front area and I saw 4 of them openly on their phones when they could've been cleaning up a bit. The seats in the theater were dirty as well, I actually felt dirty sitting in them. I won't be back to this theater. I only give this 2 stars because the employees were pleasant. read more

The only reason why I love AMC is because they have those lovely huge displays for movies! Other than that, I prefer showcase cinemas. The food here is much more expensive, but I guess they have some sort of membership thing that might be beneficial for this? Went with my girlfriend and the movie theater is great for couples. Besides the prices being ridiculous it was good theater.

I've never been to a theater with such non-existent soundproofing before! It's fairly difficult to concentrate on the movie you're watching when all you can hear is the bass from the next theater. Like, literally give you a headache and rumble the seats kind of bass. How does that pass any sort of quality control? The theater gets some points for having the recliners, but not many because out of the few I've been to these were unfortunately the least comfortable. And on that note, the chairs themselves still had the trash from the last viewers, so clearly they don't get cleaned very often. read more

I like this theater and it's nice recliners. They refill my popcorn bucket although they won't sell the 2020 bucket. Have to go to an AMC classic for this. We have enjoyed the 6 movie night almost every week this year. My one complaint is that it is almost always freezing in most theaters summer and winter. Right now I have two coats and a hat on, and I think that it is colder than outside. I hope they keep doing well. read more

The seats were a little warm because of the PVC, but they had a good amount of room. Per expected, the refreshments were outrageously expensive. Pros: * Good picture quality. * Comfortable reclining seats, large, electrically operated, with wide raiseable armrests: raise for snuggling, lower to insulate yourself from that obnoxious patron next to you who smells like catsup. * A lot of space in between rows, so you can easily get up without disturbing other patrons so much. Cons: * Very slow lines at the ticket booth. Even though line was short it took an incredibly long time. Why? See below. * Assigned seating! What? That's ridiculous! When I buy my ticket I have to choose a seat on their computer screen! So I can't just go in and choose my seat based on factors like which other patrons are likely to be loud during the movie. I only hope this doesn't catch on, because for me that's enough reason to never go back. (But guess what: there were plenty of seats so when we went in we sat where we wanted (not what we picked) and nobody bothered us!) * Sound was extremely low. Almost impossible to hear. Good fidelity but adjusted way too low. * Trailers lasted way too long - well over 10 minutes. And after that torture they put up another ad, telling us to visit their web site so we can view even more trailers! * Food ridiculously expensive. You'd have to be crazy to pay these prices. Sneak in your own food if you must. Maybe someday theaters will get a clue. Neutrals: * Tickets cost a lot of money. ($9) So what? This movie theater is in my top 3! Our seats were reserved prior to us going and it was pretty nice knowing that you have good seats and don't have to squeeze around people or look for them so everyone in your party can sit together. We only got drinks, but I seriously was debating on trying their gourmet popcorn! Big comfy seats that can recline, good quality movie, the freestyle drink machines are awesome and overall pretty clean I didn't notice any spilled popcorn or trash around. We were going to wait for the end scene but was dissuaded by an employee that had come in to start cleaning shortly after, long wait and it wasn't much of a scene. He was pretty cool! All and all I was very happy with this movie going experience and wished we lived closer! read more

We decided to watch a movie while visiting my cousin in Nashua. Overall everything was great and we had a lot of fun. The seats here were also super comfortable. The only disappointment here was the skimping on food. I go to a lot of AMC threats and this location gives half as many fries and mozzarella sticks compared to any other location. read more

I showed up to the theater with my daughter. And the ticket taker informed me that my tickets were for Yesterday. I clearly made a mistake when I bought the tickets online. The ticket taker sent me right over to a manager. I was told that the movie that we thought we were seeing was almost sold out. So the manager offered me either front row seats to that show .... Or I could choose seats for a different show. I was thrilled to get great seats at the next show instead. And I actually got money back !!!! Yes, you read that right. The tickets that the manager gave me were cheaper than the original tickets that I had purchased. So, the manager gave me the difference back. This was the best and most unexpected customer service that I have ever received . Anywhere !!! We had a great time. We go here often. Good points... I like the way these seats recline better than the O'Neil theater in Littleton. AMC seats seem to go back further. With the foot rest rising up higher. My daughter likes the Dibs here ( type of ice cream bon bon ) Which is NOT sold in the O'Neil theater. Also, and perhaps I shouldn't say this but there is a Dollar store on the other side of the parking lot. Which sells most of the same candy that is sold in the theater. Hint Hint !!! Bad points .... AMC has a lot more wasted time before the show. The screen is filled with ads and trailers for about 20 minutes. We are aware of this and often show up 15 minutes late and still see the entire movie. O'Neil theater in Littleton has just a couple of trailers and then starts the movie fairly quickly. read more

If I only had one word to describe this movie theater it would be amazing. But, since I have a strong devotion to my fellow yelpers and as a general feeling a one word review would not even do this place the justice that it deserves. Let's just say if the Barenaked Ladies ever saw a movie here at the AMC in Tyngsboro I think they would immediately update their song "If I had a million dollars" to include the following: "If I had a million dollars, I'd put in a home theater at my house just like the AMC Tyngsboro one, complete with the comfy leather recliners, amazing screen and comfortable seats that you just melt in" This theater experience is truly remarkable and goes down as the best movie theater that I've ever been to. The seats are all leather recliners and are mostly in pairs so you can cuddle up to your loved one while enjoying the movie. The only thing this place is missing is blankets, but I did actually see some people who brought their own from home. Overall, my suggestion is to buy your tickets online in advanced as the theater seating tends to be on the smaller side due to the large size of the seats. As long as you take care of this in advance you will have no issue at this theater. read more

Now, this is a theater. Regarding one of the other reviews, we bought our tickets online and reserved our seats that way, which I found to be very convenient. I agree that it would be difficult on a Friday night to show up without seats already chosen, but having already chosen them the process was smooth. I love the soda and snack arrangement, and the selection of available snacks is quite varied. I have no idea if any of the food that one can purchase is any good, but it's nice that it's available in the first place. The seats are friggin great. I love being able to recline and also have the option to snuggle with SB. The seats are so wide, it doesn't feel as if you are ever too close to another patron. Seriously, this is the way to see a movie. It was my first time at this theater because of the reviews, but having seen what they did during renovation, I can't envision myself going to any other theater in the area, even though I do very much like the ones in Lowell and Merrimack. this was a theater I used to come to when I lived in the area, it's been here FOREVER. The recent renovations have made it one of my favorite theaters to go to. The assigned reclining chairs, the fancy soda machines with SO MANY choices (and the joy of putting your OWN ice) and even the kids working here seem to be improved. AMCs have been stepping is up in a lot of their theater, making so many needed improvements. Tyngsboro was one of the first ones they did THANK GOODNESS because this one really needed a facelift. My family and I booked 5 tickets to see Star Wars in 3D at 11:30PM on Christmas Day. We were so excited. We spent all day hyping it up and gearing up for late night family fun. We pulled up to the theater and there was a cop car and almost no cars in the parking lot. I walked up and an AMC rep explained to me the theater was closed due to an emergency. He wouldn't say what happened and simply gave us 5 red paper tickets to come back for another show. What a HUGE bummer!! With AMC Tyngsborro's reserved seating system- the red tickets we received in lieu of our 1130PM online reservation means that we can't reserve new seats online!! We would have to go into the theater and of course there will be no showings of Star Wars for a while! Almost all other shows are booked up and this was the only show where my family of 5 could sit close to each other. This was going to be a great memory for our family and I understand an emergency happened that caused the theater to shut down. But we felt so mistreated both in how we weren't explained anything about why the theater was closed- but also how silly it was to receive cheap red tickets back with no real way of knowing if we'd be able to see a showing anytime soon- or even get a refund!! This theater needs a better way to ensure customer satisfaction when the theater has to shut down. We are very unhappy and confused! read more

We're big fans of this theater, and go out of our way to frequent this one instead of others closer to our home. We enjoy it so much that our movie-going frequency has drastically increased in the last year since they put in the new reclining seats... we went from going 3-4 times a year to 1-2 times a month! We joined the AMC stubs program, which really pays for itself tenfold if you go frequently. The best part for us is the waived convenience fees - since the theaters are small, we always buy our tickets in advance via their app. The seats are comfortable - more comfortable than the reclining seats at the AMC Burlington and the AMC Framingham. They recline a lot farther back than at the other theaters. Burlington is about equidistant from our home, but we mostly come here for that reason. Lately, we have noticed that the seats are not as clean as they used to be - there are often leftover crumbs, etc. from the last person. Hopefully management can figure that out. The bathrooms a whole other story - while "clean" - no paper towels everywhere, overflowing trash cans, etc., they have a serious plumbing problem. 9/10 toilets are always backed up! We took off 1 star for cleanliness overall. The concession stand is great as far as theater stands go - free refills on large popcorn, and with the stubs program you pay for a small, get a medium, etc. We love the Mr. Pibb in the 100+ choice coke machines! If you're looking to get tickets for an opening night, this is the best way to go, too. The assigned seating allows you to buy your tickets in advance, show up 5 minutes before the showtime, and not have to wait in line to get good seats. We've loved AMC since they remodeled. It's great to have reserved (no need to rush to find seats together:) reclining, large comfy leather seats. The theater (picture/sound/etc) quality is great as well, not to mention the consistent cleanliness, full arrange of concession options and the friendly staff. As a mom, with a babysitter, I must say that this theater outdid themselves when we arrived tonight to find a full "adult beverage" bar... With full permission to bring said beverage with you to enjoy your movie, included! This theater just solidified its place as our go-to "dinner and a movie" date-night location! Well done! read more

It's always great to have assigned seating with reclinable and comfortable seats...but only if they maintain the seats' condition and cleanliness. Several are falling apart and not being repaired. The cleanliness of seats can be atrocious. I seriously doubt they wipe the seats down with any sort of cleaner. The concession stand should also work on having food prepared prior to the orders. Waiting for food at the theatre seems counter intuitive. read more

AMC Tyngsboro has become my "go-to" theater even though there's a few others closer to me. Since I go enough, I ended up getting the AMC membership (~12/yr) which waves all online fees, gets free concession upgrades & after a certain amounts of use gets you credit. In the year It's easily paid for itself and more. Onto the theater. If you order online, you have the ability to reserve your seating. This is awesome if you know you're going with others so then you don't need to worry about going early to get the seats you want or worrying about being split up. If ordered online, you can also skip the ticket line which always seems to be backed up (I would probably - a few stars for that, but I never have to use it). The seats recline, pretty comfortable and if you want, the armrest between 2 seats come up. Additionally the seats are combined in groups of 2, that gives you some space between the sets so you're not bunched in ontop of one another. Theater has been pretty clean. The "banner" screens for what movie is playing sometimes bug out, but still show the poster for the movie. Soda machines are the Coke touchscreens with several combinations & customers can add as much salt / butter if they want to their own popcorn as these are available upfront and not behind the counter. read more
