Empty toilet paper and trash on stall floor
    Courtney A.

Went to AMC Tysons Corner 16 for a screening of Hoppers -- the movie was so cute! The seating was great, with digital touchscreen controls for your recliner. The chairs were wide, super comfortable, and the aisles were spacious, so it never felt cramped when someone walked by. The bathrooms, on the other hand, weren't as clean as you'd expect for 10am. There was no toilet paper in the stall I used -- glad I carry wipes! Overall, it was a good experience. I just wish the restrooms had been better maintained.

filthy bathrooms and the kid in there to clean it hid in the other stall with his broom and dustpan and was playing on his phone! This theater ALWAYS has absolutely filthy bathrooms!!!

AMC Tysons makes patrons leave visible water bottles outside the theater. (Bring your bag!)

Until AMC Tysons changes its boneheaded policy on water bottles, this theater gets one star from me. See photo: managers insist that patrons' visible water bottles are left unguarded outside the theater. Leaving those personal water bottles unguarded is a great way to assist a malicious person to steal a container or even roofie another person. Managers at AMC Tysons have made this policy decision; the policy is different at other AMC theaters. I've talked with managers and complained online, but nothing has changed. Apparently, keeping down the risks of a few folks stealing soda is worth the negative risks of stolen containers or adulterated drinks. You can tell that this AMC doesn't care a bit about protecting personal property--or patrons' personal safety.

This amc is in a great location. Convenient/clean and have a variety of options to choose from depending on the experience you want. The snacks are expensive which is why they lose a star but really that seems to be the norm for theaters everywhere. Their workers are polite and fast so you're not standing around long. Thanks @yelpelite for the awesome date night!

Does this theater have recliner chairs?

Yes it does. But I don't believe all the theaters do, so check which one your movie is playing in. It does say in the ticket.

What night is the $5 movie night for senior citizens?

I don't know if they have senior citizen movies but they do have cheap Tuesday nights.

Does anyone know the manager of the AMC of Tysons?

No, however, if you call them, they should be able to give you that information.

Heyyyy, 4:30pm…read moreshowing of odyssey yesterday! Free parking near lucky strike, which was nice because if you park in other parking areas of this mall, there's only 30 mins free. It's connected to the mall. That's nice. We walked in. No questions asked. We got to the movie early. Got to check the place out! Nice restaurant/ movies and the food is super nice. Place is super clean. The AC was blasting during our movie!! Bring a blanket and lil pillow if you really wanna get comfy. Otherwise, great experience! We will come back here!

First off this movie theater is located in the high end Tyson Corners galleria mall so while you spending coin on those luxury stores it's here for you to grab a drink, food, and movie. Now we got there about 30 minutes before our 1015 show stared so we decided to sit at the bar to grab a drink and chill before we order our food and head into the movie. We went on a Friday night the opening of the Spider-Man movie and those people were out...lol. Me and my partner came to see Odyssey which was really good. But back to the bar experience..does off miss thang that was at the bar wouldn't take our drink order as we sat at the bar. She going to say I have to get up and order at the cash register which was not even a foot from where we were sitting. Like girl really!?! Then there's an already 20% gratuity added to your bill which I cannot stand! How is that included when your service could be piss poor!?! We ordered our drinks they came out the strawberry mango lemon drop was good but a tad bit too sweet for my liken but drinkable. Now my partner he ordered a drink with Hennessy which was really good! I made sure I ordered another one of those while we were in the movie. He then got up to order our food and we headed into the movies. The burger was so damn good and the truffle fries were crispy and hot. Lord that burger was so good...lol Now the bathrooms were atrocious and disgusting! Toilets were all clogged and had urine and other substances just all in the toilets. Like are you serious! Folks flush the toilet by holding down the button long enough instead of just pressing and walking away. So I'm not sure if it's the pipes or what but y'all need to get this together. Would I go back...maybe...only because of the drinks and that burger. But I'll make sure I use the restroom in the mall before heading into there because that was just ridiculous...Smdh

We came here for a weekend matinee. This is certainly a more luxurious movie theater experience…read more.. move over, Regal and AMC! There's validated parking right next door. You must park in the garage (not in the outdoor lot or street parking). They had a machine to validate the parking ticket at the guest services counter, and we were covered for the full three hours. It was easy to find the theater. We took the escalators up and found the kiosks parked right outside the movie theater entrance. They had multiple kiosks in the hallway where you can buy your tickets and order food in advance. Once you enter the theater lobby, there's even more kiosks set-up. There was even extra lobby/lounge seating if you want to enjoy your food and drinks outside the theater. (Note: this is for the movie theater food, not your own - outside food and drinks are not allowed.) There's another bar dining area and additional theaters (9-14) on the upper level. Reclining leather seats have become the norm at most movie theaters. But LOOK raises the bar with heated seats AND buttons to adjust the headrest. We are living in the future here! But wait, there's more. They have swinging trays attached for a "movie-dinner" experience and QR codes on said seat trays to scan and have the food delivered right to your seat! You can also order at the concessions stand, but it's just not as fun (though there is an 18% service fee tacked on... call it a built-in gratuity for the door-to-door service). Brunch items are served before 2pm. They also have alcoholic beverages for that adult dining experience. We ordered popcorn and a soda and one of their brunch items - Chicken and Pancakes! The popcorn and soda were brought directly to the seats within five minutes. The chicken and pancakes came about 30 minutes later, while the movie had already started. We actually thought they had forgotten about the chicken and pancakes because there was no acknowledgment of the order being worked on when the popcorn was delivered. Several other people received their food items throughout the movie (the staff have little flashlights and will make their way to you). It can be a little distracting, but it winds down as most people will be watching the movie instead of ordering more food on their phone. People ordered pizzas, bowls, chicken tenders, burgers, etc. Instead of the movie theater smelling like popcorn, it smells like a restaurant (primarily of hot fried foods). This can make you hungry during the movie and might make you want to order more food. I was tempted to order fries during the movie, but I opted to keep my phone away and enjoy the movie. At the end of the movie, four giant trash cans were near the exits and they were overflowing. Good for the theater for making all those concession sales, and good for the audience for cleaning up after themselves. We sat in Row D and I did find the sound to be a smidge too loud. Some scenes in the movie were a little pixelated. I'm not sure if that's due to me sitting in the fourth row (too close to the screen) or if that's more on the movie studio. Restrooms were okay... generally clean, which I would hope since we were one of the first screenings of the day. I will note that the sink water pressure wasn't great and some of the sinks didn't seem to work. But overall, this is a nice movie theater experience if you're looking to indulge, kick back, relax, and enjoy the show.

I got a membership this year so I've only seen movies at this theater, more than ten this year, and there have been service or equipment problems at more than half of the movies. The biggest issue is unreliable service to seat. You may or may not get whatever food you order to your seat, or you may receive it an hour after you ordered it. It shouldn't take 60 minutes to get popcorn and soda. If you can't get it in 15 minutes, stop offering it. Make people go to the counter. At least we know when we will get it. If the food shows up, I've also had equipment malfunction. Thanks for the free movie passes. What about he $40 in food that I paid for ? Sadly I have a membership, so I'm only seeing movies here until it expires at the end of the year. Won't be renewing.

4.5/5 Their popcorn…read moremight have ruined movie theater popcorn for us. My wife wanted to see The Odyssey, and I wanted to make a date night out of it. I tried finding IMAX 70mm tickets, but the closest option was King of Prussia, PA around three hours away and sold out for days. So Plan B: find one of the best upscale experiences in the DMV. That's how we landed at Paragon Founders Row. Drive from Maryland was 30-35 minutes and parking was easy. Paragon validates up to four hours--look for the QR code/validation signs inside. Walking in, my first thought: Very nice... but where do we go? The first floor is modern and spotless, with digital kiosks, a bar, concessions and a waiting area. Staff greeted us, but signage directing us upstairs wasn't clear. It felt like we'd entered an exclusive club where everybody else had already been briefed. We guessed correctly and took the elevator. Upstairs, we were immediately greeted, had our tickets checked and were directed to our auditorium. We were also told to scan the QR code at our seats to order food, drinks and concessions. THE LUX BOX IS MADE FOR DATE NIGHT For a date? Get the Lux Box. The dividers create a semi-private nook. Nobody directly beside you--just you and your date. For roughly a $4-per-ticket upcharge, the privacy alone was worth it. Then we discovered the seats were HEATED. In July. My back was bothering me and my wife wasn't feeling great. I accidentally turned mine on: "OMG... I think my seat is heated." She turned hers on. A few minutes later she smiled. Yep. We're never going back to non-heated seats. Everything felt clean, modern and upscale, including the spotless bathrooms. THE POPCORN... Listen. I've eaten a lot of movie theater popcorn. This might have been perfect. We ordered extra butter, and whoever made it understood the assignment. Not butter on top followed by dry popcorn. Butter. All. The. Way. Through. Warm, fresh and buttery from beginning to end. 10/10. At around $23, I wish the ordering system made the portion size clearer. Once I tasted it? I stopped caring. Every bucket of movie popcorn we eat from now on is getting compared to Paragon. WHERE PARAGON NEEDS WORK The employees were friendly. The service system needs improvement. Our popcorn arrived quickly, but they brought the wrong water and my wife's drink took 20-30 minutes. There's no easy way to request assistance from your seat no service button, no "I need help" option, and nobody routinely checks on you. I asked about a popcorn refill and was told to take it to the service area myself (odd for dine-in). I offered to tip the server to handle it. He agreed. "About 30 minutes." He never returned. Another issue: with Lux Box seats fully reclined, servers don't have enough room to pass, so we had to adjust our seats. None of this made me think the employees didn't care. Paragon created a first-class physical experience without quite creating a first-class service system to match it. Add a greeter, better signage, an in-seat service request and a better refill system, and this jumps another level. Shout-out to Daniel he was awesome and kindly showed me the Axis15 Extreme auditorium after our movie. ONE MAJOR MISS: ALLERGENS Allergens and dietary restrictions weren't clearly identified online or in the ordering system, so I couldn't confidently order food. That's a major miss for dine-in seating. I would've gladly spent more if I knew what I could safely order. WORTH IT? We spent just under $100 for two Lux Box tickets, popcorn, bottled water and my wife's mocktail. She wasn't a fan of the mocktail. The popcorn? Absolutely. Lux Box? Absolutely. I'd spend the money again. Our standard auditorium was good with the Lux Box seating. For date night? Lux Box. No question. If Axis15 Extreme is available, I'd spend the extra few dollars too. I also noticed how they didn't make the wheelchair-accessible seating with companion seats an after thought. A&J DATE NIGHT TEST Food: 9.2/10 Service: 6.8/10 Atmosphere: 9.4/10 Value: 8.5/10 Dietary Accommodation: 0/10 Overall: 8.5/10 Worth the Drive? Absolutely. Would We Return? Absolutely. Date Night Approved? Absolutely--with reservations about dining. Best For: Date night Must Get: Popcorn + Lux Box Skip: Mocktail Biggest Strength: Seating, popcorn & cleanliness Biggest Weakness: Dine-in service system Paragon has almost everything it needs to become one of our favorite movie-date spots: upscale atmosphere, semi-private Lux Boxes, heated recliners and ridiculously good popcorn. Fix the service system and allergen information, and Paragon becomes difficult to beat. My date-night move: Have lunch or dinner nearby at My Home Thai Bistro or Helena's Mexican Restaurant--but head to Paragon first, get a Lux Box, order the popcorn and enjoy the movie. Elite date night, compliments of yours truly. You're welcome!

If you park at Tyson's Corner Center (Tyson's 1, not the closer Tyson's 2/Galleria) IMO it is not obvious how to cross the street from the mall, so it took a bit of exploring. Another reviewers hint to look for the metro and use the bridge was solid (paired with logical keep to sidewalks). So first the "bad": * I think this was the first Cirque show I've seen where I saw mistakes. Ironically, given another reviewer praise, it was with the ring events. * I also think this was the first Cirque show I've been to where there were noticable 'cleanup' crew on stage that were not "in character" part of the show (besides between acts). * Finally, there was a lot going on at times with this show. My SO said that is not atypical but acknowledged sometimes it seemed like there were 2 acts going on at once (in addition to the always small things to look at). To their credit this does give some rewatch value for whoever can afford that. * Occasionally spotlights were in my eyes. This might have been seating but I suspect all but the middle or maybe far corners would have been affected at some point. More informational than bad, besides those spotlights, because the stage rotates I didn't really feel like the more expensive seats were worth it. I think being in the nosebleed seats likely would have been fine as long as you don't care about close up costume detail or maybe some crowd interaction. Maybe not the far right and left. I will add the online ticket/seat picking map makes the place look a lot bigger than it is. Aside from all that, the performances were solid and the music was stellar. SO said it was nice things were bilingual (spanish english) vs the "normal" French. Maybe it has been because it's been a number of years, but things to me felt fresh and new. Before the pandemic SO and I were mulling how Cirque shows were feeling a bit stale. If you disagree with me and don't find this fresh, my advice is take some time off and come back, maybe that's what it was. Maybe it was our seats but of all the Cirque I've been to, it felt like the actors on stage were smiling and nodding specifically at me vs in general. I also really appreciated the "freeze" scenes because I know that takes a ton of strength and almost every single performer was doing it. As far as the water add, I disagree with another reviewer. IMO anything you can do without water, is more difficult with water and was well executed and fun to watch. The masks and puppetry (in addition to normal costumes) was all good. One "comedy" in between acts did involve having a large ball tossed around the audience which I felt was an accident waiting to happen. Luckily it never came our way. I also cannot say I remember noticing so many repeat performers before. It wasn't stale but I do wonder if they shrunk their crew. Last notable thing for me was there were a lot of people taking video or flash camera and security was on them pretty fast which I appreciated. The light is very distracting in an otherwise pretty dark performance area, probably also for performers safety. As for the timing of the show, the doors opened 30m before showtime. This was not stated on the tickets like the general area or concessions were. There was one "25 minute" intermission. We did not leave our seating area during that time. Unlike other reviews said, there were no metal detectors nor were our bags searched. We could have brought in outside food if we wanted. I am not sure if that was because the show was ending soon and they were over it. Your milage may vary. Bathrooms (pre-show) were the typical tight flushable portopotties...think airplane bathroom. My door was kind of questionable and I thought I might get locked in but I didn't :P My toilet also did not flush maybe it was in disorder. I thought I heard through a wall "is there no soap?" but I tried not to listen too hard :P Water was 6.50 but came in a metal (probably reusable) container. There was free water (and small plastic cups) which I had not seen before. In case it matters it was a Thursday show.
