This theater has been around for many years and is still a great spot! They have food as well as a bar in the lobby. The theater rooms themselves are a good size, with comfortable reclining chairs. My chair has some left over food on it but otherwise it was clean. The size of the theater along with the comfort of the chairs makes it a easy cozy place to see a movie. Hopefully they clean the chairs a bit more but otherwise a great spot! read more

I love this theater! I usually come here on the weekends since I have the AMC pass. I find that despite it being a small theater they will occasionally have exclusive movies that are typically only played at the bigger theaters, like Aventura's AMC. The staff here are always so nice and concession is never a long wait, even when it's busy in the day. The theaters itself are pretty great as the seats recline and are really comfortable, especially if I'm watching a 2 hour movie. I love coming here and will always give this location priority over others! read more

This AMC is a small theater tucked away in Weston. Came here because we got dinner in the area and the showtimes were ideal for a discount movie Tuesday and so glad we did! One of the cleanest theaters I've been to in a while and the theater was super small and intimate. We had recliner seats and they even had some of the chairs segmented by twos and fours, ideal for dates or group seating. This theater has a concession stand and bar as soon as you walk in and it was super easy and fast to order from them. Overall a great lil theater! read more

Went tonight to see BeetleJuice at the iconic Weston 8 movie theatre and paid $12 for a ticket. I got my favorite Coke slushy which is unlimited self serve. The movie was excellent but not as good as the original. It's always freezing cold and cuddled up in my recliner with a blanket. read more

AMC Weston is a great location! Looks small on the outside but when you walk in there is actually a lot of room. They have a great variety of snacks and have the freestyle fountain and ICEE machine. As well as their bar inside the theater Staff is really friendly and swiftly checked our tickets and checked us out at the counter. The inside of the theater is very clean and bathrooms as well. Love the decorations especially Darth Vaders head mounted on the walls. read more

I guess I'm just used to the AMC Pembroke Pines and with how clean and spacious everything there is, so when I went to this theater in Westin I had assumed it would be about the same. Unfortunately it wasn't. The theater seemed old and kind of run down. The bathroom was old and on the dirty side and the seats were worn out, complete with tears on the arms of several seats. Concession stand was small but clean, employees were nice. It wasn't my favorite place to see a movie but I'd return if my usual theaters weren't playing a movie I wanted to see. read more

My neighborhood movie theater of choice, I been here a few times. I like the bar, as well as the usual concession stand. ticketing integration with Google pay and Apple pay. Wanted to catch a movie after dinner and this theater was near by so we chose it. For this theater being AMC I expected a lot more from it but i guess due to its location being in a small shopping center that is the reason why it is so small. The theater was very well kept but the only disadvantage was the seating. It didn't not have stadium like seating it was all one floor which made it feel a bit out of sync. Didn't feel like i was in a theatre. Probably would've gotten 5 stars if the seating was arranged another way. Good once in a lifetime experience. read more

It's been a few year since I lived in the Weston area, and although I have searched for a place that can give me an adequate movie-watching experience, still nothing compares to AMC Weston 8. I am certain there are other theaters similar to it, but there are none in Miami, and others that I have been to always seem to lack something You start with reserved seating. What a concept! Art theaters and sports venues came up with that idea a centry ago, but it took movie industry about a 100 years to catch up. And then you have comfortable recliner seats, and the seats are in pairs so you can lift up the arm rest between you and your date and snuggle. There is even enough room between you and the seat in front that someone can walk by without interrupting everyone else. I think it is time for arts and sports venues to catch up. Be done with uncomfortable seats, no place to put your drink, hope a tall person is not sitting in front of you, and if someone in your row decides to go to bathroom, everyone has to stand up and give way. That's exactly what happened to me in Broward Center last week, which is one of my favorite venues in South Florida. I know the show is good, but give the viewer an experience that they want to come back. Oh, and did I mention they have a full bar in the theater. No need to sneak in alcohol anymore, not that I ever did that. :) read more

AMC Weston is my go-to for movies. They have comfy assigned recliner seats. The rows are spaced enough so you don't have to climb over people to get to your seat, and they have walls between the rows so that you don't just see everyone's heads in front of you or get kicked by people behind you. They also have tall divider walls in between the seats so you're not awkwardly close to people next to you if you don't know them. The concessions are good and reasonably priced, and they have specials on ticket pricing throughout the week. read more

So this movie theater does what it's supposed to do, in a sense where it's not full of kids and it's a very quiet. It's a good place for anyone who wants to go see a movie and I have to worry about screaming children. I honestly think the location helps because it's behind the back roads. I'm a father of 5 so I'm total we're a family of 7. Going to the movies is a great bonding experience. AMC Weston 8 has been our place to bond BUT as of lately I've notice a change for the worst in theater conditions. The services provided at the concession stand is less than adequate and AC inside theaters is kept at an uncomfortably warm temperature. We attended today and watched Avatar after all was said and done, my total spending was $175. Clearly money is being spent here and not being applied to where it needs to go. As you can see in the pic they were out of stock of almost everything including ketchup for my hot dogs. I'm extremely disappointed with this location! The City of Weston is a premier location to live in so as an owner I expect the same for our very limited amount of businesses that are located in our small city. Please fix it. read more

The AMC in Weston is my second favorite name seed to go to because it is the second closest to me. The theater itself is rather small and a little bit dated when it comes to the interior but they have updated many different areas in it such as including a bar which has some amazing mixed drinks but a little bit on the pricey side as well as fully reclining movie theater seats so you are able to lay back and enjoy a movie. The staff here is friendly but could be a little more attentive, I shouldn't have to wait a couple minutes literally standing in front of a concessionist while she is talking to a couple of her friends and then not be polite when I order my food. Prices are the same exact as any other AMC and the theaters itself are rather nice but if you are going to see a movie and an action movie is playing next to you, you will hear every Rumble and explosion if you are seeing a very quiet or relaxing movie. That is the only downside to this place other than that everything here is amazing and I can't wait to go back again! read more

Absolute shithole of a movie theater. Sure, I've been to worse, but this place is basically run by a bunch of kids. I've never seen a manager working. A-list concession line credentials (skip the line) aren't respected. Nobody enforces assigned seated even when you complain that someone is in the exact seat you paid for. Nobody polices the kids running through the halls or making a nuisance in the movies. Reclining seats are often broken. And their Coke machines and slurpee machines are never working properly. I had big hopes when the Weston independent theater sold out to AMC. All the upgrades seemed great. But with no obvious manager on site and a trut shithole of an operation, the theater is not anything fun to visit anymore. read more

In short: small but comfy and clean This is a small AMC with about 8 theaters in total. We came during the day on a Monday to see Joker and it was a breeze getting in to buy tickets. I have never been to this AMC but the theater itself seemed to be updated everywhere except the bathroom stalls.. they seemed a bit dated. The seats are new and recline pretty far back, far enough that my toddler son actually fell asleep for the entire movie.. score! It was clean and the sound and movie experience was stellar. We stopped in here this weekend to see one of the first showings of the day. The tickets were a mere $5.50 each which is a phenomenal deal in my opinion, especially if you are taking your family out for the day! When can a family of 4 see a flick for $22??? We arrived at 11:00 for our 11:15 movie. We went to purchase tickets on the automated kiosk. Our sale went through, but then the tickets didn't print out. The theater was quite empty, so we went to the cashier and she was able to print them for us with a swipe of my credit card. You can order online before arriving at the theater, but you do pay a $1.50 per ticket service charge. I believe this is waived if you pay the $15 annual fee and sign up for the premiere membership club. Since this outing was only costing us $11, we opted to splurge on some pretzel bites for $6. The woman at the counter was so pleasant and processed our order quickly. She didn't have a name tag on, but I think she was the manager. I really liked the pretzel bites, they were fresh and yummy. This theater is really nice and the seats are the cushy recliners. Such a nice treat! The theater was very large and I think we were the only two people in there. It seemed overall quite clean here, even in the restrooms. We will definitely be back. In my opinion the experience at this AMC was nicer when compared to the one in Sunrise. read more

I've been to this AMC a handful of times. Every time I come here, I don't regret it at all. Not only does it still look brand new and revamped, but the staff are friendly and nice. I like that the crowd here is older, and it's not like sawgrass cinemas. In the past, I couldn't stand being surrounded by young teenagers in the movies that would be rude and talk throughout the movies. I like that this place is up kept nicely, and I'm enjoying what I'm paying for. I saw Daddy's Home 2 last night. I highly recommend coming here to watch it if you haven't! I loved it so much. It made me laugh a ridiculous amount of times, and was an overall great outing to start the new week. Yet again Mark and Will did a phenomenal job acting in this movie! read more

Okay...I will admit it, I haven't been to this theater in years...and I mean YEARS! It is usually over run with kids...the parking lot is HORRIBLE...and until recently it was just GROSS. Now that AMC owns it, they have refurbished it (still over run with kids) and have even put in a bar. I love anywhere I can pick out my seat before hand & recline. We were there this past weekend to see Trolls. Let me start off by saying I don't expect children to not be at these kind of movies, since I myself had my daughter (6) and her friend (also 6). When we walked in there was no one standing in that "let me have your ticket/scan you phone" spot. After a few moments I realized I needed to check in at the front desk area. Okay...they scan my phone and tell me to wait for tickets? Tickets? Why do I need a paper ticket? The area is small, so it can become a bit confusing. When we were leaving we did see someone who looked like they were in the spot to collect tickets/scan. I will say that the concession has 1 line (with several cashiers). You'd think you'd get out of the line quick? Nope. Slow...very slow. And guess what, they don't even have to serve you your drink? Nope, that is self serve. There was a birthday party in the theater at the same time we were there. It appears that the seats weren't properly disbursed, as the party had to do shifting a few times. I can understand why the parent had 2 beers. All in all, it's okay. I still like Paragon better. I don't need a bar with seating to enjoy a movie. read more

For those who don't know I'm a Star Wars fanatic, I live and breathe the Sith. I've probably cumulatively watched Episode IV, V, VI,I & VIII at least 5000 times. Even though I was disappointed that George Lucas sold out to the "Anti-Christ" Disney for $4 billion, I still had to go to the theater to see my beloved Star Wars franchise. I hadn't been to a theater since March of last year, and the theater I chose was a total disaster. The theater was full of munchies, cretins and vermins, yup... the kind you find in the part of town you always avoid. Being my last movie experience was like an episode out of "Basketball Wives" I needed to find a location where it would be literally impossible for the Trinity of Creep to find it, so I decided on the AMC in Weston. Like the timid groundhog, I hesitantly with great observation entered the movie theater, searching for anyone or anything that remotely resembled the Trinity of Creep, but I didn't catch a glimpse of any. So I bought my ticket and headed to my theater. There was hardly anyone in the theater, I only saw a handful of people. My reserved seat had a wet armrest so I took the seat adjacent to it. The reclining cushioned seat wasn't as wide as I was accustomed to like the seats in the South Beach Regal VIP section, but it was comfortable nonetheless. This theater looks old from the outside but it is completely refurbished! The concession stand has a nice variety of snacks. There is also a large bar in the lobby. Seats are big, plush, leather recliners. The theaters are small to begin so with the large recliners there are a limited amount of seats in each theater. Translation: Book in advance! Still, this movie theater was not nearly as crowded as others I have been to. The theater and rest rooms were clean. There was plenty of parking in the lot outside. I'm uncertain how this movie theater has great reviews. I walked in and noticed boxes on the side. It doesn't have a clean or welcoming atmosphere. It seems to be a bit outdated. The carpet is extremely dirty and it needs to be cleaned, like a real deep cleaning. I went to view Ma and noticed when I walked into theater 3 it was dirty. Trash was on the floor. This movie theater isn't huge and that's why its extremely bothersome. Why isn't it being kept up to standard? Leaving the movie and walking out...it was more crap on the floor in the main entrance, the section with the condiments was dirty, big puddle on the floor. I cannot with this place. I'm thinking Weston...it will be nice. That's what I get for thinking a certain area means great quality. The reason I gave it 2 stars...the bartender made our drinks really good and she was personable. This is NOT a great representation of the AMC brand. First time at this AMC. It is a bit of a drive for me, but I was meeting with some girlfriends to catch the Amy Schumer movie, so what the heck. AMC are doing a great job at putting comfort over seat quantity, in every one of their establishments I have been in recent memory, they have nice comfy reclinable seats. This particular location is in a shopping plaza with quite a few restaurants where one can have dinner before or after the movie. Parking lot is big and spacious. The theater itself is just like any other AMC, colorful carpers, concession stand, etc. The best thing about these theaters are the seats, and the Stubs reward program. I will definitely come back, since this is my friends chosen location. It is a really nice choice. read more
