The Fresh pastries, breakfast foods, down to the beautiful variety of fresh cold salads, to lox to sopresotta and prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, salmon, wonderful garlic mussels and shrimp, fall of the bone no lie ribs, rice, risotto, taco bar with grilled chicken and pastor beef, beef tequenos and dumplings, raviolis, sushi, ceviche , freshly carved steak and not just steak, THE BEST STEAK EVER, chorizo and grilled chicken, fresh pastries, cannolis , chocolate fountain with humongous fresh strawberries !!! I've been writing restaurant reviews for years all over the U.S. Mostly restaurants because let's be honest... food is my love language. Good food and good service can heal emotional damage, lower blood pressure, and probably save marriages. So after seeing Negroni sitting there in Weston Town Center looking all fancy and mysterious for what feels like 37 years, my wife and I finally decided to go. No kids. No responsibilities. Just two tired adults escaping life for a couple hours. We walk in and immediately the place looked beautiful. Nice aesthetics, trendy vibe, dim lights, everybody dressed like they either own crypto or sell real estate in Brickell. I said okay this place got potential. Then the hostess sat me at the smallest table known to mankind. Ladies and gentlemen... I am 6'2. This table was built for borrowers from The Borrowers movie. My knees were touching the wall, the chair, the table, and possibly another dimension. I felt like I was serving detention for crimes I didn't commit. At one point I think my rib cage made eye contact with the candle. But I stayed positive because sometimes suffering leads to greatness. Jesus carried the cross. I carried cramped legs. I ordered the 14 oz ribeye medium well. The steak came out with three sauces like they were presenting evidence in court. This one is chimichurri. This one is peppercorn. This one is liquid mortgage payment. The steak itself was good. Tender, soft cut, flavorful enough... but not $110 dinner and hidden fees flavorful. For that price I expected the cow to personally walk out, thank me for my service, and salute my family. My wife ordered the pork belly bao and honestly that thing slapped harder than my grandmother's flip flop in 1997. Very good. Then my genius self decided to order sushi at a steakhouse. Because apparently I enjoy making questionable life decisions. The sushi roll had a little spice to it, and it was decent, but halfway through eating it I realized this is exactly how people end up in documentaries. Now let's discuss the music. WHY WAS THE MUSIC SO LOUD?! I wasn't eating dinner I was fighting for survival at Ultra Music Festival. I tried talking to my wife: BABE HOW'S YOUR FOOD?! She screamed back: WHY ARE YOU MAD AT ME?! The couple next to us probably thought we were renewing divorce papers. Every time the bass dropped my soda moved across the table by itself like a paranormal activity scene. And the waitress bless her heart she moved around the restaurant like she was late for a flight at Fort Lauderdale airport. Need anything? What are you drinking? Here's your food. Ma'a slow down. Build a relationship. Tell me Something. I felt like I was ordering dinner from one of my cousins during a family reunion: Aight here damn. Then came the bill. $110. For a steak. A sushi roll. Bao buns. Two sodas. And a random service fee that appeared out of nowhere like an unexpected tax from the Roman Empire. I asked myself: What exactly are we servicing here besides my financial decline? Overall, the place is beautiful, the food is decent, and if you enjoy dining inside what sounds like a Fast & Furious nightclub while folded into a child-sized table this is your place. I went for weekend brunch, I haven't seen too much info on what they offer so I hope this is helpful to people. There seemed to be only one server, but plenty of staff (busser, hostess, etc.) So sometimes service got slow, and others it was pretty quick. Everyone was nice, but at one point I did have to ask them to bring out more plates and tortilla shells after no one had noticed for 5-6 minutes (which they then did promptly). When we got there the hostess told us it was brunch only, so if you're wanting to go on a weekend during brunch time I guess you can't order off the regular menu (fine with us, we were there to try brunch). There were a lot of options packed into a small space. It looks deceivingly small. They have a small carving station with flap meat, grilled chicken, and chorizo. They have the size of flap meat down perfectly- when it comes out, you will only wait for a person or two in front of you at most, it runs out in about 15 minutes, and then they're getting a fresh piece. Cycled often. Flap meat was a little chewy, could be improved if they cut up two thin slices instead of one thick one. I enjoyed it. The sushi area had two mixed rolls per container (I wish they weren't, I would have eaten a few more if I could grab one with just shrimp tempura), corvina ceviche (very good), and tuna tar tar (in a great soy sauce mixture). It also had soy sauce, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. They also had some typical breakfast offerings- scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages; salad options; pastries (different types of croissants, dinner rolls); huge balls of mozzarella; gyoza; ravioli in a vodka sauce (I think); sweet-and-sour pork; olive skewers; caprese skewers; baby back ribs; marinated mushrooms; pizza (cheese and pepperoni, small bites so you won't fill up and can try a little of everything); salmon toast with cream cheese; and probably my favorite, a little taco corner. The taco corner had both grilled chicken and al pastor. The al pastor had a very slight spicy kick to it, no pineapple; it was fine, but I preferred the grilled chicken. The onions and cilantro were mixed already, which I think was great but could be off-putting to someone who has that soap-cilantro-taste gene. I almost didn't notice the dessert station, but when I saw someone with chocolate strawberries- I found it! They have a chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows, and some small bites that included a cookie with a sort of dulce de leche filling, a chocolate ganache pastry, and little cheesecake bites. The restaurant is small and maybe a bit too dark for daytime. The layout was sometimes hard to manage. The main table ran along the main bar but was lower, and then additional things (like the pastries) were stacked along the actual bar which made it kind of a nuisance to reach over everything for (but to be fair, I'm short). If anyone was standing at the carving station, you couldn't get to the sushi table until they moved. The dessert station being out of the way was fine, but if you go you will miss it if you don't look for it (it's by the small bar behind the hostess stand). I can't give half stars, and I was really thinking that this is a 3.5 star experience, but I went with 3 because of the fees. They add a 2.8% fee for the staff (I don't remember what they called it) and an automatic 18% gratuity. (I'm sure this is listed on the menu, but you only get a drink menu for brunch). I usually tip 20-25% anyway, so i can't really explain why this irked me so much, and it wasn't really the gratuity that bothered me (though if service had been bad I guess it would have), but the 2.8% annoyed me. It's been years since I've worked in restaurants, and I'm pretty sure everyone is making minimum wage or close to it, and I know the servers have to tip out other staff, so I guess i just feel like that fee is something the restaurant should be factoring in as a cost of business. I don't think anyone would bat an eye if brunch was $36-37 vs $35. To add it on as an additional fee seems disingenuous. Ultimately for 2 brunches ($35 each) and 2 palomas (I think $16 each), our tab came to $128 (taxes, fee, gratuity). I think this is a one-and-done for me. Let's talk about the location first. They're located in the heart of Weston, which is pretty central for us on the west side of Broward. I live in Miramar so it was a 12 minute drive and my sister met me there from sunrise and took her about the same amount of time. This place is beautiful, inside and out. There is patio seating, which is where we sat for happy hour. I went inside to use the restroom and was impressed by the decor and size of this place. Very beautiful and very clean. I didn't order food, but did order mojitos on happy hour. They are known for their Negroni's so I tried my husband's and it was delicious! I'll be getting that next time. I wish I took a photo of the butterfly branzino. It was beautiful and fabulous. BUTTERFLY BRANZINO 32 Tomatoes, capers, kalamata olives, anchovies, Pinot Grigio broth the sautéed cherry tomato's, were nice the capers weren't over salty at all, and the anchovies weren't noticeable but complimented the dish well. the service was excellent and we love the ambiance both inside and outside options all well appointed. So my friend and I wandered into Negroni at Weston for the first time for me, thinking we'd have a nice little dinner. What we actually got was a full-on food experience -- and possibly a new addiction. We both ordered the chicken parmigiana with fettuccini, and let me tell you... it was the kind of meal that makes you question why you ever eat frozen dinners. Crispy, saucy, cheesy perfection. We shared a huge Caesar salad, because we like to pretend we're being healthy, and honestly, it was so good we almost forgot it was salad. Then came dessert: cheesecake in an orange sauce (fancy!) with decaf cappuccinos to feel like adults who have their lives together. It was rich, creamy, and citrusy -- basically a dessert hug. Our server was an absolute gem -- friendly, helpful, and the kind of polite that makes you want to tip extra just for existing. Came for Easter brunch, at first, it seemed hectic but everything was very well organized. The price is $35 for unlimited brunch, although it seems pricey for a buffet each station has something different to offer. From sushi, to salads, to breakfast options. For being Easter morning, the food was fresh and I constantly saw the employees switching out the food with fresher food. Very impressed with how well everything was handled and how fresh and tasty everything was. Our waitress wasn't as attentive as I would have liked. We had to ask for coffee and creamer multiple times, but given how busy everything was, she was doing the best she could. The music wasn't too loud where you couldn't hear the person next to you, but not too low either, the decor was a mixture of things which was suitable for the different food stations they have and lots of seating available. Figured I would take a moment to give them a well deserved review. I got nervous when i read the polarizing commentary on this restaurant and from what I can tell after my visit last night, at its core this place is fantastic. The menu - a very miami mix of south american bangers, italian comfort and solid cocktails. We ordered 3 drinks- paloma was undrinkably tart but the server quickly whisked it away and returned with something much more to my wife's liking (and it was great). I had the riff on a spicy marg and I would definitely have had another... maybe more on a sunny afternoon. Grabbed a glass of pinot grigio with my dinner (didn't ask the winemaker) because it sounded like it would pair best with the Branzino. Let's talk food. Branzino was killer - the preparation was like a low key riff on Veracruzana and it was perfectly cooked. My wife was craving a burger, which I initially thought was kind of funny but the burger was excellent. Cooked perfectly medium rare great grind on the meat. Only finished half so I had to take the rest home. No complaints there. Went with ceviche as an appetizer and like so many places around here it was excellent-- great classic Peruvian preparation. I was pretty surprised by the dessert, we had a dolce de Leche lava cake with caramelized, banana, bananas, and banana ice cream and holy eff that was good. Service was fine, with a young server and he did his best to be attentive and provide provided good quality service. You could tell the entire night, though that it just looked like they were one server down. Looking across some of the negative reviews it feels like they need a stronger front of house manager directing traffic because it looked like there were people who just didn't know what they should be doing. But our server was solid. For a restaurant in the suburbs, the space was beautiful and modern. The music was loud but hey, it's a Saturday night. I really like the patio, would be nice on a night that wasn't 90° and humid. Only real drawback is (for a restaurant in the suburbs) the Miami pricing hurts. If food was 10% less than the drinks were 20% less, this place would've been packed. For a restaurant of this caliber, it should not have been so easy to get into on a Saturday night. That whole strip of restaurants near Royal Palm, and especially the Flanigans are packed on a Saturday. This place should've been too. Review for the bottlomless ayce brunch - great deal for a huge spread and plenty of drink options. Like all buffet spreads they put the "filler" stuff at the front of the line, but you can move onto sushi and a steak station and get as much as you want. Even the salads were fresh and had a large variety. Service was a tad spotty. They tried to pre emptively bring us a second round, which was thoughtful, but most of us wanted to switch up our drinks. He lacked friendliness, and when my drink accidentally spilled while still half full, and the glass broke, he cleaned it up without showing concern, or offering to remake it, or saying anything. Given that service plays a significant role in the dining experience, this aspect left a negative impression. I had a very disappointing experience at Negroni. Our waitress took our order with a noticeably rude attitude, and unfortunately, the order was entered incorrectly. What made matters worse was the lack of follow-up--no one came back to check on our table, and we had to rely on the staff member who brought out our food to ask for anything we needed. It also seemed like much of the staff on shift were more focused on socializing with each other, either at the bar or in the back, rather than attending to customers. Overall, the service left a lot to be desired and significantly impacted our experience. Attractive atmosphere. However This is a dining establishment, not a nightclub -- yet the music was at a dance-club volume, with heavy bass that made normal conversation difficult. There is also no space to dance, so the volume felt unnecessary and out of place for a restaurant setting. Service needs improvement. Appetizer dishes were not cleared before the entrées arrived, leaving the table overcrowded with empty plates and food. We waited over five minutes for dishes to be cleared, and no one returned to check on us after the food was delivered. I had to flag down a staff member to request salt, bread, and extra napkins. Water service was inconsistent. Glasses were not refilled, and we had to pour our own water -- although a bottle was on the table. With the number of staff frequently passing by the table, it would not have been difficult for someone to notice what was needed or ask before walking away. On a positive note, the food portions were very generous, and the rock shrimp appetizer was excellent. I ordered the chicken parmesan and appreciated being able to substitute a salad for the potatoes. Unfortunately, table management was poor. I observed other diners moving used plates to nearby empty tables just to create space because tables were not being cleared promptly. Additionally, the ladies' restroom faucets are brass and visibly tarnished with green discoloration, which gives the appearance of poor maintenance and needs attention. Negroni Bistro & Bar is a cute spot for drinks and dinner in the Weston Town Center. Came here for a night cap after a date (aka drinks and dessert) and it was such a vibe. It was a Tuesday evening so it wasn't too busy. We sat at the a bar and was tended to immediately but didn't feel pressured to order right away. Our bar tender was awesome and gave us the menu and was the right amount of attentive. We ended up ordering the Negroni Sour and I opted for a zero proof mocktail, the NA-groni (love the name!) Both of our drinks were super good and it even turned my not-loving negroni date into someone that actually liked it. We ordered the chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream as well and it was a sweet ending to the night. The cake itself was marketed as a moist chocolate cake but it was actually not that moist. Despite that, it was still super tasty and the pistachio ice cream made it all the better! The inside was super cute with some neon signs and was clean and spacious. Definitely perfect for a date night or a night out with the girls. Love this Argentinian restaurant positioned at the old Swigs location in Weston Town Center. Sat at the bar and met with the servers Pablo and Walter who were professional and lively. Ordered the enpanadas and pork belly which both were crazy good. The IPA beer was ice cold which I like. The place was not packed but busy. Sushi bar was rocking out food. We randomly went to Negroni for my husband's birthday dinner. I have never heard of this restaurant and we don't go to Weston often. We went to Weston Town Center to check out Krispy Chicken, but Negroni looked like more of our vibe. We arrived during happy hour and loved all our drinks. We had Italian mojitos, margaritas and the bastardíta picosa. All delicious and strong! We ordered lots of food and that was just as yummy. We had the salmon sticky rice, lasagna bolognese, blue crab sushi roll, pork belly, tablita italiana and we had the lava cake dessert! Our server was amazing and stayed attentive to our needs. I went here for drinks and I must say I loved it! The bartender does an awesome job of explaining the drinks and making sure you enjoy your drink. I ordered a Buon Vivo Negroni and it tasted different than I expected. The bartender added grapefruit juice per my request and it was a hit. To close out I ordered whiskey sour which was great also. For a bite I tried their Truffle Carpaccio. It wasn't my favorite but tasted better with the drinks. The overall aesthetics of the restaurant is decorative and fun. Great spot for sushi and cocktails! I like how the vibe of the restaurant feels like you're in Fort Lauderdale. It is very dark inside at night so if you don't like low lighting restaurants I would suggest going during the day. The service is always good not great. The staff is very friendly, but they do tend to not check up on the table as often as I would like especially when you go for the happy hour. I love that they have happy hour everyday that includes food and drinks! The cocktails are very good and the food is very fresh. Our drinks were all pretty good and next time I would likely just go for the drinks. New place opened in weston town center I called in ahead and they were booked for reservations but had my name added to the waiting list which is amazing notating I wasn't there. They called me way ahead of the estimated time and waited for me for 10 minutes to get to the restaurant. When we got there we were seated immediately in a table in the middle of an open area and it was very small like a cocktail table so we asked for another table which was bigger and they accommodated us. The place is very cool set up. Music is a bit loud so hard ti have a conversation while dining however I recommend it if it's for a drinks date night. We had: Truffle gnocchi: I loved this plate didn't expect to find this delicious mix in a loud music place as this is a plate you would find in a fancy Italian restaurant. Cooked to perfección, flavorful and blend with the truffle made it unique! Wagyu beef gourmet empanadas: gourmet empanadas a must order they're delicious! Argentinian style, crunchy thin crust and filling full of flavor Soft shell crab maki : it was good but not great. Missing a little tangy touch. Note that we are sushi lovers and very demanding when it comes to rolls Cocktail: Bastardita picosa: very very good cocktail a bit spicy for those who like a little touch of spice in the drink. I had 2 of these loved it The place is decorated very cool. Our server was Chris he was very attentive and the food came out super quick and several people was always on point on asking us if we need anything else. Specially a girl named Sara The only reason in gave 4 stars is because towards 20-30 minutes before we left it got super busy and we had to wait long to order another drink for my wife and a beer for me. The check was brought out twice to us without asking for it when we wanted to order more drinks. Price is ok for the quality of food (except the sushi as I mentioned) Parking is tight on Friday night at the town center; we had to park super far because there's many restaurants and it gets very busy. But you'll find parking. Took me like 5 minutes. I would recommend as a perfect place to go with friends and/or a date night for drinks as I previously mentioned. read more

Negroni Weston Birthday Dinner Experience - Mixed Start but Great Food On January 31, 2025, we went to Negroni Weston to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday with a group of nine--five adults and four kids (ages 8-11). Upon arrival at 5:15 PM, the restaurant was mostly empty, yet we were seated at an uncomfortably cramped table. I politely asked our server if we could add another table for more space, but she initially refused, stating there were no available tables. However, with plenty of empty tables around us, I insisted, explaining that we needed a more comfortable setup. Eventually, we were reseated in a much better arrangement. Food & Drinks Once settled, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was excellent: * Lasagna - My husband and brother loved it. * Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken - My sister ordered this; it was a very large portion for $27.00. * Milanese Chicken - My sister-in-law enjoyed it and found it delicious. * Crab Ravioli - I had this dish, and it was very good. * Kids' Meals - The kids ordered from the kids' menu ($14.00 per dish), and my oldest nephew had a burger from the adult menu ($20.00), which was a good value. They all enjoyed their meals. Appetizers We also ordered several appetizers, including some from the happy hour menu: * Pork Belly - A good portion but overly sweet. * Fried Burrata - Tasty and a decent portion, despite the server mentioning it would be small. * Calamari - Ordered from the regular menu, but the portion was quite small. Desserts Dessert was hit or miss: * Dulce de Leche Lava Cake - Absolutely delicious and well received by the birthday girl. * Tiramisu - A complete disappointment. It was essentially ladyfingers with cinnamon and whipped cream--nothing like traditional tiramisu. Not worth the $10.00. Service & Experience One great perk was that they extended happy hour pricing to the tables, which is rare in South Florida, as most places only offer it at the bar. Our server, Pablo, was excellent, and the quality of the food helped make up for the rough start. However, I never saw a manager during the seating issue, and the hostess seemed clueless, which was disappointing. Final Thoughts Despite the seating hiccup, we had a nice evening overall. The total came to $425 with tip, including two alcoholic drinks per adult.
