Amelias at The Stutz!
Mary R.

Amelias has great baked goodies! I love picking up bread & pastries here! The staff is always so welcoming and friendly, I enjoy when upon entering you are met with a snail and greeting!

Always an amazing place and I usually get too good to go orders from here. The staff is really friendly. The location is so cute and has a little outdoor receiving area as well as indoor and the food is really delicious.

If you go near closing they give out extra bread that would go to waste otherwise which I appreciate. This location in particular has special drinks the other Amelias don't have. It's a staple of Indianapolis, I love this shop!! Service is nice, staff seem a bit gay so I trust them with making my drink (I'm trans), space is cozy and lively!

Amelia's is a bakery located in the Stutz. I tried the cinnamon roll croissant, and it was absolutely delicious! The store was clean and well organized. They have indoor seating if you'd like to enjoy your food there, and they also offer a small selection of cold items along with merch. I'm a girl who loves a good souvenir! The staff was friendly and welcoming, which makes for a pleasant experience. Highly recommend stopping by! I can't wait to return!

4 stars. Awesome laminated dough pastries. Service is usually decent, too. The only issue I have is that they have discontinued two of my favorite items. They used to do a collard green and ham hock savory pastry that was absolutely one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. And they also had a sausage pastry that was served with a pepper jam. Probably the most delicious breakfast sausage treat ever made! BRING BACK THE SAVORY PASTRIES!!!!

Nothing beats this passion fruit and dragonfruit kite!! Came 20 minutes out of the way just to get one this morning. The cinnamon roll was also awesome. Great place to get coffee with friends, do some computer work or just hang out.

Outside

The chocolate croissant and lattes are top tier! So glad this place showed up on my Apple Maps. Quality and service were 5 stars!! Open late which is a plus!

I had the best croissants ever at Amelia's yesterday. My husband and I stopped by and bought two amazing pastries. I ate both. The Lemon Croissant was flaky and buttery with the most delicious tart Meyer lemon filling. The second croissant was a Chocolate Croissant with beautiful layers of pastry and a fine layer of creamy chocolate. I kid you not, there were the BEST croissants in Indianapolis (maybe anywhere) by far. While the croissants are large, you won't want to share them. Just saying. The shop is part of the Stutz complex in the food court. They primarily serve pastries, fresh breads and coffee, but also offer a selection of gourmet pantry items, locally sourced frozen meats and fresh salads. The fresh artisan breads were beautiful and I left wishing that I had picked up a loaf. The upscale dining area is perfect as a work space with free WiFi and artistic tables and a comfortable and trendy vibe. The clerks are friendly and attentive. Service was fast. There is metered parking, but there is still a walk to get to the shop. Amelia's will be a regular stop for me when I visit downtown.

I've been meaning to try Amelia's for a while now, but never got around to it. I recently discovered my new favorite coffee shop (Barista Parlor) which is only a few doors down from here. I was feeling hungry so I decided to stop by for a little bite. I saw the Palak Paneer hand pie and was intrigued, but it was the cashier who sold me on it because she also had one earlier that morning. Omg. It was soooooo good. It had spinach, seared paneer cheese, some spices, and the perfect amount of salt in the filling. The flavor was on point. I'll have to come back to try their chocolate chip cookies and other pastries. Even though I came in the afternoon the case was still pretty filled and looked delicious (and tasted fresh!)

UBE Dream latte and Koiign Amann

Amelia's never disappoints. The staff is always friendly. Today I had the Kouign Amanna. It's a rounded croissant rolled in crystalized sugar. The croissant was buttery and flaky and the sugar added just the right touch of sweetness. Delicious! I topped it off with an iced, oat ube dream latte. The latte is a mix of ube and blackberry syrups mixed with oatmilk and expresso topped with cold foam. It was creamy and light which made it a great compliment to the croissant.

First of all love this location. It's located in one of the coolest buildings in Indy. The staff were very helpful and had great suggestions. I wanted something a little bit more savory since I hadnt had lunch and they recommended a potato stuffed pasty. It was flaky and absolutely delicious. Of course I also had to get something sweet. They recommended the beet brownie. There was only one left so it must have been one of their most popular items. The brownie was moist but not overwhelming rich. But the star of the show. The orange creamsicle lemonade. One of the best drinks I have ever had.

Stopped in for Valentines day! Love this place. Had the tiramisu latte iced and hope it's gonna be in the rotation for specialty drinks for a while! Service was fast for a national holiday. Busy for the holiday lots of places to sit usually.

Such a good spot with amazing coffee and pastries. They have a lot of other goodies here too, but mainly it's a cafe. My friends and I walk down here every now and then. They have great staples, but they also have seasonal coffee selections and it's fun to try something new. Good place to hangout and take your time or grab a coffee on the go.

This one is good for grab and go, unless it's nice out and then you can enjoy seating located out front. Service is friendly here. The workers are always up to answering any of my questions. They told me the olive bread is only sold on Wednesdays. I've never had it, but it sounds good. The bread I love is the focaccia. They sell it in a square loaf for $5. I like to eat this bread plain, with cheese, or make a sandwich with it. I also purchased a chocolate croissant (I love me a good chocolate croissant) and it was so flaky, buttery, and filling, very delicious. I warmed it up a bit at home and enjoyed every bite of it. Ive had a coffee from here and it was good, coffee and bread is a great combination. To get here, you have to find street parking as they don't have a parking lot. My boyfriend and I came on Mother's day (unintentionally) and we waited about 10-15 minutes to sit at the bar. Getting our orders taken & our food served definitely took a bit of time, but we enjoyed seeing all the cooks in action and getting to smell all the amazing smells!! I got Grandpa's one pan skillet and my boyfriend got the sausage breakfast sandwich on croissant bread. All I gotta say is those chefs definitely knew what they were doing! The flavors were unique and intentional and I enjoyed every bite. The home fries (potatoes) were also so yummy and everything was cooked really well. There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. I wish we waited until we got seated to order drinks because the menu was much more extensive than what I saw in the cafe and I would have ordered a different drink had I seen all the other options. The staff here are also very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our little brunch and will be back with family next time!

Yes, these are quite a bit pricer that's for sure. People were buying one of everything in line. I was like wow! Some Items the combinations of flavors didn't appeal to me. I love tiramisu and pecan pie so I got them both. One suggestion I would have is to have utensils and napkins at the table for people to use. The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. It was great! The tiramisu one I wouldn't order again. The bottom flakey part was so bitter. I love coffee and expresso and tiramisu. But, the whole thing just wasn't what I thought it would taste like. Now I know. :-( Creamy, sweet, smooth, with a kick of coffee all come together to make a great tiramisu. This is what most people love about it. I don't know if they are planning on opening a store or not. The pop ups are doing well it seems. I will try other items whenever I can get to one of the pop ups.

What went from ordering 1 pastry each turned into 8 total.. and we regret nothing. The Tiramisu Danish was exactly as I had hoped for! The bitter taste of espresso paired with the sweet mascarpone cream filling reminded me of the holidays when I would watch my mom make tiramisu for our family. While a lot of people prefer a sweeter espresso, I thought this was perfect and very true to a traditional tiramisu taste The Pear Kouglof reminded me of a fresh yeast donut that's been tossed in sugar This was a very kid-friendly pastry in taste and while I wasn't too blown away by it, it did make me wonder if I would have preferred it with a stronger, more potent, fruit. The Cherry Basque Cheesecake -- this pastry was the house favorite. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy, but somehow still spongey.. cakey, but more like pudding. Mix that with the juiciest sour cherries and the crunch of a biscoff crust.. mind blown was an understatement. We're looking forward to what Beurre Sec has planned for their next pop-up

I've driven by the Bakery, so many times and wanted to stop, but I was always in a hurry. My sister and I went in and we each got a dessert and because it was four in the afternoon, we got decaffeinated coffee. We just took our time and looked around and laughed at so many signs and odd little things that were placed over the years. On the way to the ladies room, you will find out that the gentleman that started the restaurant fought in one of the world wars, and you will see his worn out shoes, his uniforms, his letters of accommodation and Learn his story.
