We would like our money back from the "Amen Clinic." I asked for this already as well, in the voicemails to the personnel listed above, and in writing via email to Chelsea Durham and Dr. Storage. As stated, we have not received any response from them. We finally realized that "Amen Clinic" was never going to find therapy as promised, and the patient's mental health declined as a result. We would like to give you the opportunity to change our opinion of "Amen Clinic," and refund the money paid to "Amen Clinic," to allow the patient to have the funds necessary to receive the treatment he needs, as those services were not rendered as promised by "Amen Clinic."Therapy "referrals" were all we were given, and was never what we had discussed. People in our financial position would not spend $4000 on brain scans to then get "therapy referrals" which we can find on Google. We attempted to contact people at the Amen Clinic regarding these issues numerous times prior to posting the review, including Chelsea Durham, Elle Mollet, and Katherine Rodriguez. They have not responded to our voice messages or emails. Prior to asking for our money back, however, we were successfully able to reach Chelsea Durham via email and phone, and did correspond with her many times, asking for the promised therapy services. We also would like to bring to your attention some violations occurring with Dr. Storage that there was not space to discuss in the review. On most occasions, at appointments, Dr. Storage could be heard at various places- such as outdoor sports events (in which Dr. Storage said he was at a kids' soccer game) and driving in his car (during the final appointment Dr. Storage apologized that he could not remember the details of the patient's illness or history because he was driving and could not reference his notes) and other spaces in which both adults and children could be heard in the background. Additionally, in receiving the patient notes from "Amen Clinic," we saw that Dr. Storage incorrectly stated that the appointment was done virtually, and commented on the patient's "appearance" on numerous occasions. The problem with that, is that the patient only saw Dr. Storage virtually one single time, for his very first appointment of discussion of the SPECT scans. Dr. Storage's comments on the appearance of the patient and his notes that he saw the patient virtually on all follow up appointments, are fraudulent. In fact, Dr. Storage only spoke to the patient on a landline phone in every instance except the first visit. In the patient's last appointment, Dr. Storage notes the appointment was done virtually and comments on the patient's appearance. However, phone records show that the appointment was done over a landline telephone, which is the case for numerous other visits as well. The most heartbreaking part of this whole thing is that no one cared to help the patient. Our family had suffered so long with this mental illness, which was the reason that we had sought the help of the "Amen Clinic." It is tragic to us, that they would deceive us, getting us to believe that they would provide a therapist from their in-house staff that would be able to help with this specific diagnosis- and then just take our money and desert us after we paid them thousands of dollars, saying that, actually, they did not have therapists qualified to help with this particular mental illness diagnosis. BEFORE the $5000 payment, they told us that the ONLY way they could "fit a new patient into their therapists' schedule," or words to that effect, was if the patient did the SPECT scans and paid the full amount due. Then, AFTER the $5000 payment, they suddenly did not have a therapist who was able to see a patient with the diagnosis that they previously confirmed they had therapists who could help. They tricked us, and it hurt our family more than it is possible to put into words. I hope that this review can help other people avoid this same terrible fate of the losing trust in the "Amen Clinic," and mental healthcare system. We wanted to believe that this was not just another profit-driven clinic preying upon vulnerable and desperate patients, but unfortunately, we were wrong. People like us, who were desperate to find solutions to long term mental health struggles, were an easy victim for the "Amen Clinic." We trusted them, and we got swindled. Clearly, the patient did not receive appropriate or adequate care at the "Amen Clinic." We sincerely hope this is not the case for other patients, and hope that somehow, we must have had a uniquely terrible experience. We hope another result of this discussion is the prevention of future patients from harm as mental health can leave them vulnerable to this harm. read more

At Amen Clinic, the Dr.s and their teams are truly the best!!! I took a family member to this clinic, and we have had the best experience. All of the people who work at this clinic truly care about the patients and also their family members. This clinic is the ONLY mental health clinic that I would ever leave a good review about over the many years of helping my family member with their illness. The brain scans that they do at Amen Clinics are top of the line technology, and not being done much yet in the US. So my family and I are beyond grateful that we could access this clinic here, right in Southern CA where we live!!!!! We literally thank God for this place, it is a miracle it exists and that we found it, I mean that. The scans were incredibly helpful, and gave us not only the knowledge of what was going on, but also what could actually be done to help it. To think, all this time, we hadn't even been on the right track with the medicines in previous years. But how could we have known, since we couldn't see what exactly was going on in our loved one's brain--until now. We especially want to thank Dr. Storage and his assistant Hannah. By the time we found Amen Clinic, our family member had been suffering most of their lives. We had finally succumbed to the idea that there was no hope, as honestly, we had tried everything else for many years with little or no success. Dr. Storage, however, refused to give up. Even after we gave up and were going to quit, Dr. Storage sensed that positive results were looming on the horizon, staying in close contact with us until we got the medications right. The Amen clinic has given our entire family the life and hope and happiness we prayed would be possible and shown us the light at the end of the tunnel. After nearly 4 years of constant migraines, mental health challenges, and other strange health issues, our family finally found real answers at Amen Clinics with Dr. Faber. We brought my 20-year-old daughter, Lily, after years of feeling stuck and dismissed. Other doctors essentially threw their hands up and gave up with the last neurologist referring us to the Cleveland Clinic for pain management, but Dr. Faber did what no one else had done--he kept digging until he found the true root cause. He ultimately diagnosed her with mold toxicity, CIRS, and chronic fatigue, and that diagnosis has been life-changing for us because it gave us a clear direction and a plan. What stands out most is that Dr. Faber never gives up. He continues to research, ask questions, and go deeper instead of settling for vague answers. He has patiently answered every question we've had, laid out a clear protocol, and always explains things step-by-step--not just what we need to do, but why. This semester, Lily had to take a medical withdrawal from her university, and Dr. Faber responded quickly with suggestions and therapies to help support her recovery and get her back on track for next semester. His responsiveness and care have meant the world to us during such a scary, uncertain time. I'll never forget something he recently said to us--something no other doctor has ever said in all these years: "We are going to become best friends because we are going to stay in communication until we figure this out. I won't give up until we do." I am incredibly thankful we finally have answers, and even more thankful that we're starting to see improvement--especially when my daughter was seriously beginning to lose hope. I visited the Amen Clinic in Los Angeles. What a horrific experience it has been. I have filed a complaint with the California Medical Board. I visited the clinic because of a divorce proceeding in which the state of my mental health was being questioned. There was no indication that I was in need of prescription medication. This was my desire...to pursue holistic solutions to any brain or mental health issues. The doctor knew full well that I was there because of a pending court case. Two weeks after my visit, while I was following their treatment plan, the Amen Clinic doctor started having email discussions behind my back with family members, including my soon to be ex-husband (the OPPOSING party in court case involving a minor child) about me. This doctor literally met me for a grand total of 90 minutes. My local psychologist who has been seeing me for 3 years is appalled. He had warned me about the Amen Clinics and had advised me that they do not have a good reputation. I should have listened to him but my family member talked me into going (the same family member who then went behind my back with absolutely no consent to do so). The Amen Clinic doctor had NO consent to have conversations with family members and certainly not the opposing party in a court case. No consent, no power of attorney, nothing. When I requested a copy of my full medical file (including emails and other correspondence per federal HIPPA law), they refused!!! This is ongoing and they are still refusing almost 3 weeks after requesting my full medical file. PLEASE do not waste your money on this clinic. What a disaster! Now I am incurring more attorneys fees just to get access to my medical file which is a key part of a pending court case involving a minor child. I don't think there's really a way for me to adequately express and summarize what this experience has been like for me. I feel our society has been conditioned to put complete faith into doctors in knowing what is best for us. This causes a huge hindrance on the ability to trust and listen to our own bodies and recognize that we know them best. But ignoring our own symptoms and not fighting through to get answers can have some major negative and long term impacts. Dr. Storage made me feel seen and heard. Nothing about him was dismissive or demeaning. He was compassionate, kind, empathetic, knowledgeable, adept at explaining complicated things in an easy to understand way and just overall a great human being. To finally have some answers and the start of more has been and will be life-changing for me and my children. Chelsea was absolutely amazing. Some of these tests could probably be kind of scary for children, but she was just naturally warm and such a calm, comforting demeanor. This place is literally a life saver. My family member is mentally disabled, and therefore needs very serious care. This team is responsive and caring.
