I was contacted by a physician from the practice and told I could no longer see the doctor who had treated me for several months because he had supposedly "poached" me. He threatened me with legal matters... (sorry sir but I was in the legal industry for many years!) I'm an adult capable of choosing my own healthcare provider, and I found my physician myself. Nobody "poached" me. What concerns me most is that I was pulled into what appears to be an internal office dispute. Patients seeking mental health care should NEVER be put in the middle of workplace politics or made to feel responsible for choosing sides. DR Gibbs was ALWAYS supportive, responsive, compassionate, and genuinely invested in my care. I paid $180 per visit, but I considered his care worth it because of the professionalism and support he provided. I would gladly continue seeing him and recommend him without hesitation. The way this situation was handled, however, was unnecessarily aggressive and deeply unprofessional. I have no interest in returning to this practice or contributing another dollar to an organization that handles patients this way. My message to the team: keep internal disputes internal. Patients deserve dignity, professionalism, and respect. NOT to get involved in your office drama or pressure to take sides. Absolutely unprofessional and immature. To the doctor who called me. Consider this a coaching opportunity: as a healthcare provider, you should be building trust with patients, not putting them in the middle of internal conflicts. I'm grateful I found my physician, and after this experience, even more grateful that he is no longer with this practice. I'm now seriously considering whether this interaction warrants a report to the appropriate professional board. The entire situation was mind-blowing and completely unnecessary. I'm still livid about his choice in words and approach... sorry sir but I AM NOT THE ONE who you can call and bully over the phone!!!

This Inneractions of today (new owner) is run like a headless zombie. Definitely not for people who seek consistent, compassionate care. I felt so comfortable with them. Luda the nurse always had my meds available and worked overtime to help find them if needed.. Most importantly the techs are incredible.  They were always around for me.  They listened and shared their story which was great because I felt they really understood what I was going thru. I could tell they really cared .  The chef was amazing.   The house at Altus was beautiful. It had everything I needed.  They offered yoga, massage, kickboxing and more. There isn't any other place like Altus.  I highly recommend  them. They gave me a wonderful start in my recovery.

I ended up leaving this place and found a much more suitable program in Palm Springs that really understood my needs and took the time to work though my issues instead of just demanding that I contact my insurance to get verified. Stay far away from here!! A lot of illegal activities going on here! There were clients using drugs in the home and even the staff was nodding off during their shifts. After speaking with several comparable treatment programs, multiple providers indicated that this type of charge seemed unusual and raised concerns. It's difficult to understand why a facility would bill insurance while also requiring substantial out-of-pocket fees that appear separate from the core treatment services. For families seeking help for their children, transparency and patient care should come first. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that revenue generation was prioritized over supporting kids and families during a difficult time. As a result, we have decided to pursue care elsewhere for our son.

It was all coming at once and we latched onto Ascend Healthcare seeking answers, and a change for our daughter -- to pull her up and help her thrive again. What we initially got was charged A LOT Theres a "wellness fee" they charge on top of insurance, it's not in their contract, but it's about an additional $4500 a month. I was stunned to pay this once and requested to pay again after my daughter had been in treatment a month here. Besides this, the care my daughter received I believe was extra ordinary. Damilola Adefeso Psychiatric Mental Health, Nurse Practitioner worked greatly with my daughter. He kept us in the loop and described what she was going through in language we could understand. Also, her Therapist, Alexandra Rodriguez took time to work closely with my daughter. My daughter followed a good schedule here, and had outings. She stayed for a little over two months, and came home rested and loaded with new skills to combat the anxiety as well as new medications which seemed to improve her mood and look on life. I will say they the packing list was a bit monotonous yet they never used much of the items we had packed for our daughter. Once we got very scared because our daughter was unreachable for about 24 hours, as was Ascend. My husband and I worried something happened. We later got word that three was internet and phone problem and no one could call outside or be called. I found this excuse to be dumb because you'd they'd have a good old fashioned copper wire phone line that didn't exist on internet. They should definitely have a plan for this. This is mainly why I can't give Ascend more than 3.5 stars.

For someone with such experience and expertise, she's extremely down-to-earth and approachable. I came to Dr. Vause at a time of change in my life (at work, with family, and in my relationships), and my stress was surging. My depression and anxiety levels were becoming hard to manage, and I was turning to drugs and alcohol to cope. Dr. Vause helped me get through it. In addition to counseling, she guided me through some challenging but needed adjustments to my medication regimen. Every med suggestion was explained clearly, Dr. Vause answered all of my questions, and I knew what to expect in terms of effects and side-effects. I never felt as if pills were just being pushed my way; she really wanted me to participate in my own treatment and understand her reasoning. In addition to the excellent medication recommendations and adjustments, she is a wonderful therapist. Since seeing her, I have felt much better, and have experienced real improvements in my life. Her combination of innate sensitivity, compassion, and deep medical expertise is quite rare. I feel completely comfortable and secure in this relationship, and am fortunate to have found this exceptional doctor. I know I am cared for as a whole person, not just a bundle of problems, and there's nothing I hesitate to talk to Dr. Vause about. Having her in my life is itself therapeutic and a source of strength for me. Thank you Dr. Vause!
