I am not fat, I am big-boned. Tacos could be better and the burritos are not the size of my head.

The only bad thing I can say about Mi Casa is that since we were staying in the same building, we…read morewere hit by a wall of incredible taco smells every time we walked outside. It makes you instantly hungry and has a way of making you forget about skiing or any other plans. I went with the two street tacos for $20. I chose the Elk and the Steak, opting for double black beans instead of rice to keep the diet right. Both were fantastic; the succulent steak provided a perfect balance to the leaner elk. I always judge a Mexican restaurant by its chips and salsa, and Mi Casa delivered a great trio: a fresh pico, a solid medium verde, and a "light you up" option for those who want the heat. The bar serves a solid Ranch Water with true Topo Chico instead of club soda from the gun, and my son gave the kids' quesadilla a strong report. The interior is well-executed--it transports you without feeling kitschy. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout. Overall, a reality-based "win" for a post-mountain meal.

First off, this is like a tex-mex situation. We were told…read morethere was no availability and then we were placed on a waiting list and told it could be 30 minutes.... 10 minutes later we were called in.. Okay..? Needless to say while walking in, the restaurant is huge but there was a bunch of empty tables. Odd. Our poor waitress was divided between 2 tables because our party of 9 couldn't be sat together. So I'm only assuming it threw her off her game some. It was a disaster. We ordered cocktails from the bar and everything came out scattered. My drink was okay but it wasn't strained properly and still had ice floating around. For entree, I got the chicken enchiladas with a red sauce which comes with a side of rice and beans. It was meh. Tastes okay for where you're at but nothing great. Half our party on one table was served way earlier than our half. So it felt very unorganized. Even when we finished eating and walked out, there was a bunch of tables empty. Pretty sure they could've sat us all together. Not to mention even though our group was split amongst 2 tables, we were hit with a 20% service charge.

They have a little patch of artificial green grass next to the patio. For you dog to chill and whine at you. We were served by at least four different employees and everyone was pleasant. They were honest about what was good and what wasn't and we needed up with cheap margs and great food. I had the Herradura Trio which was exceptional amount of food for the price and cooked perfectly. Definitely worth the price and too much for one sitting. Lots of leftovers if that's your thing. The taco and enchilada combo was good too especially if you are not THAT hungry. Chips and salsa were great. Bottomless. So is the soda. We had HH margs for $7.50 that got us buzzed fast. Afternoon breeze in the patio was perfect and made for a much better experience than our mosquito infested campground. lol They can accommodate groups up to 25+ and they have plenty of staff to get the job done fast.

Had a spice to it and consistency was good. The steak burrito was large and had three different sauces. Margaritas were large and sweet. Spicy Mango marg was a bit too sweet but the Blackberry was perfect. It's a mountain Mexican restaurant, a little dive-y but a lot of locals. Appeared to be an old Burger King maybe? The clutter could be picked up and it would look much nicer.
