My Transmissions was acting up, so I research for a Transmission Service company online and put in…read moremy information and within minutes N & M Transmissions responded and told me to being my car in right away, so I brought my car in. It was right before Thanksgiving and they took care of my car issue in less that a week, meanwhile I took it to the dealer before hand and it took them a week to tell me what was wrong with my car, they also didn't fix the issue that I took it in for, but instead they took it upon themselves to do other work on the car that I didn't ask them to do and billed me for it, the total cost was about $1,800 dollars and my car was in the same condition that I brought it into them for. To make matter worse, they wanted to charge me $6.800 dollars to replace my transmissions on top of what they had already charge me. A total rip off the deader are especially when the warranty has expired. I had a choice as to where I wanted to take my vehicle for servicing, but I chose N & M Transmissions because it was local to where I live, and I'm glad I did. Not only did they display great technical knowledge about transmissions, but they impressed me with their honesty, a rare commodity with auto mechanics these days. They explained everything to me in great detail so that I knew everything they were doing or planning to do, so there were no surprises. They're honest mechanic, they also told me about some other issues that I had with my car that the dealer should had taken care of. My car has been running great with a little extra power since I got it back from N & M Transmissions. Thanks N & M Transmissions James

They might not be able to replace your engine on the spot -that might be for your dealership- but they can take care of everything else your auto needs And at the fairest price on Manhattan!

I had a terrible experience here and would not recommend this shop to anyone. They advertise…read morethemselves as a "complete foreign & domestic repair shop," but when I asked about an engine replacement, the mechanic said they don't do that at this location. Fine--that's their choice. I already have a better shop and is replacing my engine they maybe thought I was broke or who knows but anyway way the real issue is that after leaving my car, several of my personal belongings disappeared. Guest what they did, they left my car in the street for a few days without any consent or like if my money isn't worth anything. I lost two toolboxes worth over $500, Ray-Ban sunglasses ($200), my EZ Pass, charging cables/adapters, perfume, clothes from my backpack, also a head unit that was in green box and more. On top of that, I paid their diagnostic fee (which I don't mind since that's part of their job), but when it comes to my missing belongings, I'm the one who takes the loss. It's been 3 days and I still haven't gotten a single answer or resolution from the shop. Items don't just vanish into thin air. The worst part is the complete lack of responsibility or concern from their side. The reviews may make this place look like a trustworthy shop and that's the reason I came here for, but my experience was the opposite. Be very careful leaving your car or belongings here, because once something goes missing, you're on your own.

I first met Caleb when I brought my 2000 Lincoln Towncar in for a transmission tune up -- filter,…read morefluid and gasget. He literally took me the next day when everyone else had long wait lists for such a simple job. One didn't want me to wait even though he had a nice waiting room. The car was done in about an hour and that day cab told me recommended I change the engine seal which was leaking and the mount for the transmission which was deteriorated especially after 200,000 miles. So I bought the parts at Ford and brought them in a couple of weeks later and I was stunned by how quickly and efficiently the work was done. Oliver worked on the car and focused only on my car and Caleb did the special work which was changing the seal on the transmission end. When they showed me everything in the shop and invited me to see how the work was being done which I was delighted to know I asked if they could clean off the transmission before they put it back. Well a couple of an hour later they asked me to look at it and I was shocked because the whole transmission was washed and repainted in silver. I have never had such wonderful service especially in light of the fact that the car is old and well maintained but nobody is that interested in getting into any deep type of repair work. Or they need the car for several days. The job started about 8:30 in the morning and by 11:00 a.m. the job was well underway the transmission was on the bench and they were replacing the seals and cleaning it off. By about 12:30 the transmission Oliver had put back in the car and they were hooking up the pipes and tubes and the car was done about 1:00. So one of the biggest takeaways for me beyond the fact that the service the personnel was fabulous is that they Oliver adjusted the shift selector which was a little loose and sloppy. The r did not align correctly. To my delight when I drove the car away and put it in drive it felt like a new car. Thank you everyone at pioneer I will see you again.

I would never go anywhere else!…read more I was having transmission issues with my 2011 Pathfinder including, trouble lights intermittently, getting stuck in 4WD, shifting issues, among others. I called Rich and he asked me to drop it off before he closed and he would check it out in the following day. He called the following day and informed me that he didn't find any problems operationally but, the computer wasn't cleared when the trouble lights previously were cleared. He then told me to come to pick it up and just let him know if anything happens in the future. When I went to get it, expecting to pay a few hundred for labor, he told me "no charge, just make sure to bring it back immediately if anything else goes wrong." Not only will I be back, but I recommend him to everyone that has transmission issues and tell them my story.

Transmission repair is such a crapshoot with the amount of grifters out there. I was recommended by a friend. He told me that this is the only place that he would trust to take his car for transmission work. I totally agree. I live in Manhattan and didn't think twice about taking my car out to Little Ferry, NJ for the rebuild. Heck, they are basically just over the George Washington Bridge. Rich even gave me a ride to the PATH Train, which was really going out of his way. What a great guy! I brought my 1991 Toyota there with it slipping badly. I have enough experience to know that it was the transmission, especially after 120,000 miles. Rich scheduled me for an appointment one week away and I dropped the car off. He didn't promise an exact date because things come up. I got the car back in a week and it was spectacular. Quality rebuilt the transmission and actually made it stronger. I drove the car for another 145,000 miles and the transmission performed like new. I was wowed. I tend to keep my cars a long time. If my current car ever needs transmission work, Quality will be the first place that I go...even for something as simple as a transmission oil change. A total pleasure to deal with.
