I booked with Delta because in economy they offered carryon, unlike other airlines. I had to call to get the tickets, because when looking online at all the websites there was no way to note the wheelchair or ask questions about wheelchair assistance. The lady at Delta that helped me book the flight was able to answer all my questions and took my husbands chair into consideration when seating us. Normally you don't get your seating assignment until you check in, but because of his chair she went on ahead and assigned us seats. It made making sure we didn't get separated one less fear. They let us take his chair down the ramp to the door of the plane and then allowed him to walk to his seat, since the walkway was as narrow as it was he was able to hold the seats as he made his way to ours, we were given priority boarding because of the wheelchair. Delta's flight crew made the transition between flights great. The flights themselves were wonderful. Delta has an on board WiFi that allows you to at least be able to text while flying for free. You can pay to upgrade but why would you do that when Delta has a screen at every seat that let's you play games and watch movies, as part of the airfare. The snacks they offered were of a wide variety and very good. Everyone in the flight crew has made it to where I don't want to fly any other airline but Delta.

Lastly, AA has some 'buyer beware' things to consider when purchasing a ticket. They are very upfront about this but you need to be very sure you want to buy an 'economy' ticket. If the flight is cancelled or if you do not make the flight, NO REFUNDS. You've lost your money. They let you know there are other more expensive tickets you can buy if you want to get a refund in the eventuality you don't make the flight. Here's the deal.... you pay more for the 'just in case'. That is dirtbag consumerism right there. If at all possible, choose another airline.

It offered the shortest flight from Mobile to Dallas at the time. It is a smaller plane and are contracted by American Airlines. I guess they can be considered as one company. The seating featured a two-class configuration with 9 First Class seats (CRJ-900) and, of course, I love having a window seat. Considering the other reviews I guess we were pretty lucky. The flight was smooth and the attendants were friendly. We didn't experience flight delays in this trip, our plane left on time. It got us from point A to B safely so we're good. American Eagle airplane has no in-flight seatback entertainment! Bummer. Also, the leg room is much smaller... lucky for me I'm only 5'2". The flight was a little shy of two hours.     Worst airline EVER !!…read more Me and 3 others were supposed to fly out of New Orleans march 16th at 5:10am .. We got there at 2am ... they didn't open their ticket counter / baggage counter till 3:45am Not only that but they admitted they were short staffed and had all 5 lines converge into a single line in the middle which made it take 3x longer to get our bags dropped and get to TSA . Also I had pre requested wheel chair help because I was injured and couldn't walk at the time . The clerk at the counter told me . And this is an exact quote " sorry where short staffed today , we have too many call out s , your gonna have to deal with it your self " which they legally have to provide wheel chair assistance .. Well long story short we didn't get to the ticket counter because of their short staffing till right before 5am ... then through tsa and the flight had already taken off .. Their best option was to rebook us on another flight. The next day in the afternoon and we wouldn't arrive till almost midnight ... over 32 hours AFTER we were supposed to already be there ... this would leave just 1 full day for our small vacation so we said no thank you .. give us our refund because that is not acceptable .. But it was their short staffing that caused this issue in the first place . So I emailed them and requested they cover the cost of our non refundable Airbnb because this was caused by what the even consider Controllable issues . They could have atleast offered what they give to those who need to be bumped to another flight considering this was their fault . Which is $2150 per person . But they basically told us to deal with it and accept that they ain't doing jack sh*t for us , they are the absolute worst Not to mention the wheelchair assistance issue . My suggestion is to NEVER fly Southwest Airlines,.. they are terrible and have garbage customer service !!!!

Personally I vowed I'd never give them more than 1 star after they cancelled a trip on us last year and refused to give us a refund and I only got our $$ back by playing hard ball through our credit card company. On a later trip, Spirit double charged me due to an issue with one of their airport kiosks and again, I had to fight for them to make it right. On this particular trip, everything went fine. Flights took off and landed on schedule, staff were friendly and when I made a minor mistake and realized it shortly after I'd booked this trip, I called Spirit and after being on hold for a while, they were actually helpful and accommodating, which was a welcome change. Maybe they've had a bit of an attitude adjustment?
