I recently flew JetBlue non-stop from MSY to Boston with my husband and young daughter, and we had a fantastic experience. This was my second time flying JetBlue, I was pleased with the service and would definitely choose them again for future trips. We arrived only 40 minutes before departure but were able to check our bags and coast to the gate without worry. My husband and I both laughed as we couldn't believe we made the flight after arriving to the airport so late! The check-in process was smooth, and the seats were comfortable, with ample legroom, making the flight enjoyable for both of us. The Partake Classic Grahams are arguably the best air snacks ever! IYKYK! I was also happy to find the very useful baby changing station in the airplane restroom, which made traveling with my little one so much easier. Jet Blue is hands down the best airline. They have the most space, the cleanest aircrafts, the biggest windows. They have wifi, entertainiment, charging ports. They have in flight beverage and snacks service as well as things to purchase. They have the best staff always, its almost robotic. They set the standard when it comes to flying. The bathrooms alone are beyond words. So clean, bigger than most other aircrafts. and somehow they are always at the best gates at the airport. Always near resturants and shops. First time flying with JetBlue for me. My flight, or preflight I should say, didn't start well. 3 hours before the flight I received an email that my flight is delayed by 20 mins. Next email- 1 hour, then hour and a half, then I lost count. Flight was changed 6 or 7 times. All I know, last time it was delayed by 2 hrs and 20 mins. Lady who was checking in my luggage was not very friendly, but she was pregnant, so it was totally fine, she was probably very tired standing on her feet all day long. She had to call someone to reschedule my flight as I was missing my connection in JFK. She was on hold for about 10-15 mins, but in the middle of her call the system said my flight was back on time. They still departed 30 mins late, but so far the flight is very enjoyable. They offer free wifi that they call Fly-Fy. I'm using it now to write this review. Seats are comfy, plenty of leg room, they offer relatively healthy choices, like orange juice with no added sugar, Terra chips, you can also buy drinks and more substantial food. We missed our 6am flight from MSY to Fort Lauderdale on 5/26. We arrived 2 hours before the flight. The baggage check line was ridiculous. The TSA line was even worse, with many wheelchair persons cutting the line. When we arrived at the gate, nobody was at the kiosk, and the plane was still attached to the walkway. Eventually a JetBlue employee came and said that there were no alternate flights available, and offered to book us the next day. She directed us to the 1800 number to request a credit. We called the 1800 number which had a 2hr wait. This experience was terrible, as our trip was very time sensitive. I will not be a return customer and will advise friends and family the same. read more

I'm becoming disillusioned with Jet Blue. My last 2 Jet Blue flights have been miserable. When flying Boston - NOLA you have 2 choices for a direct flight. Jet Blue or Spirit. I flew Spirit to NOLA and flew JetBlue home. The Jet Blue Flight was over an hour late. The plane was delayed reaching NOLA which made it late departing. I get it. It-shay happens. But the problem was that nothing was communicated. The airport monitors just said DELAYED no text or email from JetBlue. I arrived at the airport on time. Even the people at the gate desk had no information besides DELAYED. They eventually changed our gate. But never updated signage or monitors. Because we were so delayed getting into Boston, we had to land at Terminal E. Not C. That was never communicated to people. Had no idea I was in Terminal E until I got off the plane. I never thought I would say this but I think I will stick to Spirit! read more

For years when I'd be shuttling back and forth between New Orleans and NYC, Jet Blue was my airline of choice. In fact, I never even used to search for cheap flights on Priceline, Expedia or Orbitz because I knew I'd get the best value on Jet Blue. Once I moved to the KC area 2.5 years ago, I began using Frontier (nee Midwest) and was pretty impressed with how cheap the flights were. I've usually found the staff, from check in to the flight attendants to be top notch and friendly. A recent trip between NOLA and NY had me depending on Jet Blue again, because Frontier doesn't yet fly that route. I've gotta say... they just don't do it for me anymore. What was once pretty cutting edge for the flight industry, say, 10 years ago (remember in-flight yoga?!), they kind of disappointed me recently. They've done some cutbacks in services and the flights are not nearly as cheap as Southwest nor Frontier. That's the main important thing because I fly a lot and need some damn cheap flights. So, it's looking like although Jet Blue is going to be an option for me once again, due to the not so great prices, not so great amenities on the planes, and most important, the fact that they fly into JFK instead of LGA, I'll be looking at what used to be my #3 choice, South West and Jet Blue only as a last resort. read more

Mix feelings but..... I love JetBlue so I can't complain too much. The lady checking in my bag (Teri) was a doll and super friendly. She was quick and efficient and got me checked Ina me ready to go in no time. Unfortunately, unlike coming from NYC to NOLA, they told me that my rolled up poster is considered a 3rd item and that couldn't take it in unless I consolidate or check something in. My other 2 items were a small cross body bag and a back pack. Luckily, my small bag fit in my backpack, but I just felt that they were just way more stricter than coming out of JFK and out of all the people there, they targeted me personally, then after they made the announcement about posters. I guess I felt targeted since I didn't even have a suitcase with me, but other people had more bags than me and they were not addressed. Yet again, I know they are doing their job and trying to make it more efficient to board people, but a simple solution for this..... BRING BACK THE 1 FREE CHECK IN BAG! Thank god people did end up checking in their carry on for free so it ended up working out in the end. Otherwise the service crew was nice and friendly as usual and I enjoyed my ride. The pit fall is the size of the plane. It was one of the smallest they have and never knew they existed. It was a 4 seater row (2 seats, isle, 2 seats) vs the traditional 6 seater than I'm used to. The leg room seems a slight bit smaller, but still bigger than some other airlines I've been on that used a bigger plane. read more

On a recent flight from Boston to New Orleans jet blue flight attendants were coming through the aisle selling food and special drinks as we expected. My wife was cold and asked for a blanket.The attendant pulled out a package a little bit bigger than a travel Kleenex pouch and said that would be $5. My wife then handed the pouch back and received a scowl from the attendant. It's one thing to sell food products but it's a whole other thing to sell something that provides basic comfort for a 4 hour flight. Pretty soon they'll be asking you if you want to breath recycled cabin air or double filtered air for an extra charge. Maybe some coins will be required for the lavatories. We used to have a decent opinion of JetBlue but this policy of charging for everything is very short sighted. Tonight I flew on JetBlue Flight B6 1423 from Fort Lauderdale to New Orleans with my husband. The gate agent had hair down below her jacket, and half of her gooey, strip eyelash was bent directly up towards the ceiling. She barely acknowledged us, but we boarded the flight perfectly fine without a welcome. I had a seat, and noticed that my television did now work. I told the female flight attendant, and she replied, "I know." When the snack options came around the flight attendant, Eddie, asked if we wanted anything. I asked if had any snacks with chocolate. He said, "You can reach down in that pocket, pull out a menu, and read it to see." So a little later I went to use the restroom, and I waited outside for about 10 minutes. When the man in the velour track suit exited, there was urine on the floor, and tissues and toilet paper strewn around the entire area. I went back to my seat. Eddie and the "I know" flight attendant were no where to be found. The experience, and the way the flight attendant treated the passengers was so stunningly horrible that for the first time in my entire life I asked the female for her name and Eddie's name. She replied, "We don't give names." That was not a flight. That was a flying septic tank. Run for your life. read more

My flight from New Orleans with United got cancelled because of the snow, I was to connect in DC to NYC, the representative was sternly unhelpful but at the same time kept that fixed US customer relations style smile on her face which is so infuriating, 'I'm sorry but that's the best we can do, you have a good day now!' Livid, I had to call my mate to return and pick me up. The prospect of booking an extra night and going to NYC via Chicago the next day enticed me to go buy a voodoo doll to pin that United woman's fake smile down. 'This is so silly, take me to a coffee shop Josh, there has to be a way, there is always a way!' Jet blue was the way and forever will be the way. I tried to book online but they (my bank) wanted my social security, which was in my phone, which was in my suit-case which was in Josh's trunk/boot. I looked like a crazy woman flinging my clothes around the parking lot looking for the damn phone that would not switch on because I only had an Irish charger. At this point Josh wisely decided to go to the toilet. Long story short, the women that I dealt with in the Jet Blue call centre were so professional and human. At the check in they were fantastic too. At the gate they let out a cheer for the Saints. It is a huge achievement to make me not see a red mist of anger anymore when I'm in it. I have a temper. The seats are spacious, you can pick from a menu a complimentary snack and drink. Also you get free direct TV & XM radio... But that's not all that makes this airline my new domestic favourite. Saba is why. After drooling on myself for over 40mins I woke up to my body pruning out. I guzzled water and popped to the loo, it was engaged. 'There is a someone in the toilet,' said Saba as he leafed through his glossy magazine with his perfectly manicured fingers. 'Oh OK, thanks.' 'Your welcome! You here for the game,' his hips snaked every time he spoke. 'Yeah I was. It was absolutely amazing! & you?' 'Oh no girlfriend, I don't like football but they forced me to watch.' 'Well that's not very pleasant,' he left me wondering who 'they' were and how they 'forced' him to watch something... I just envisaged the bear gay mafia putting him in a Clockwork Orange type device. 'Where you from girl?' 'Dublin.' 'OH MY GOD I LOVE IRELAND.' 'That's cool!' 'I love Dublin! I love love love Cork! I love the pubs! I love the people! I JUST LOVE IRELAND!' 'Thank you! I love that you love us so much... Where you from?' 'Girl,' he fixes his pink rimmed glasses, 'I'm from Spain. Alicante, Spain.' Fine travel. Not as great as I remember it being 10 years ago. No problems. Took off late but landed on time. No complaints and no accolades. I found the seat I was in to be very uncomfortable. I fly about 75,000 miles a year and I wish Jet Blue flew more cites and more scheduled times in the cites it flies but all in all they are most service oriented Domestic Carrier in the USA. So had the door shut while I was in the ladies room getting ready to board my flight to New Orleans from JFK. Couldn't get anyone to let myself and two other business travelers on the plane. customer service was less than spectacular and more than a little confrontational. Very disappointing experience at JFK. On the plus side, flight out the next day was a dream. Staff in New Orleans was outstanding.
