I have been going back and forth from Pittsburgh to New York every month or so. I like American Airlines the best overall. In all my flights from Pittsburgh to New York & New York to Pittsburgh I have never had any issues at all. The flights all left on time and arrived on time or early. In the future I intend to only use American Airlines unless there is a problem getting flights.

The bag AA replaced my broken luggage with same day.

Flew with them this holiday season and... my check bag was cracked like an egg in the process! I had a connection, so I'm not sure exactly where the damage happened. At JFK, you can go and make a claim right away and they will replace your bag ASAP if they have something similar. They look for similar color and size in their inventory of replacement luggage. Not sure how many new bags they have stored there and if they do this at other locations. I was able to get a new bag within minutes of filing my claim online and visiting the baggage office located near baggage claim. It was annoying but the staff were very helpful, nice, and quick to act. The whole process took me less than 30 minutes.

My second option if United is not available. This was a great trip to NYC. Flight was ahead of time of time one way but unfortunately was delayed on the way from NYC. Bumping up the rating despite the delay because of the American Chelsea lounge which was outstanding.

I have been flying out of JFK for years. As with any airport, they have their pros and cons. There are going to be issues. Whether it be flight delays or whatever, passengers have to learn to be flexible. The only reason for the 3 stars is because I am reviewing TSA, check-in, the agents (customer service) and the flight crew collectively. Depending on what time you are traveling in the morning, you may be able to use your TSA pre- check or not because sometimes they are not open. I can't fault AA for this, but they all need to do better. Pre-check should be open at 4am just like the regular line. The agents are hit or miss. You may or may not get a pleasant one. As long as you don't have an issue with your ticket, you should be good. Go to the kiosk, check-in and drop off your bags. The gate agents are great people. Just don't annoy them with ridiculous questions. Again, some of the gate agents are hit or miss. Now the flight crew, mainly the flight attendants. I use to think they get a bad rap, but I have since rethought that. 99% of them need to be retrained or just trained in customer service. I do understand that passengers can really be a lot to deal with, but start with a little niceness and kindness first. The minute you step into the aircraft, most of them are speaking to each other and don't even acknowledge you. It's truly annoying. And most of them do not how to speak to people. If they were suppose to get a tip, my tip would be if you don't like your job, change it. They have the most attitude ever. While I will never give up on my US airlines, that's why I love traveling to Asia. The Asian airlines keep smiles on their faces no matter what, assist you when needed and don't give you all the tude. The old days of traveling are extinct. I'm just saying though, they need to do better, it's an easy fix.

I appreciated the pre-flight text messages leading up to my flight back to Chicago Illinois with changes to either gate or departure time. I uploaded the American Airlines application with hopes of being able to retrieve my boarding pass but could not, resulting in me having to see a flight attendant which ended up being a breeze. Best believe I arrived early because I was not familiar with John F. Kennedy International Airport, as well as the commute via MTA New York City Transit. As for my airport experience, TSA was crowded, but the lines were moving! TSA allowed all individuals to leave everything like electronics inside of bags due to them having a high-quality X-ray tunnel. I was anticipating for my bag to be searched due to having toothpaste in it once again, hehe. This time I mashed it in order to make it smaller in inches. It may not have been a problem to leave it alone, but I did not want to take any chances. The American Airlines departure gate was easy to navigate to. The seats within the gate were exceptionally clean but could use some hourly cleaning due to little food particles, and drink stains left by individuals waiting to board. I loved the addition of the USB and power outlets for phone or laptop charge which allowed me to recharge my phone prior to flying out; there were some that worked and some that did not, but I was grateful to recharge my phone because that commute via MTA New York City Transit took its toll on my battery. Now as for my onboard experience, I was able to charge my phone as I slept on flight in order to keep my battery charged. I found power outlets on the lower part of the seats in front of me. After taking my melatonin, I slept the majority of the flight, so I had little communication with the flight attendants other than the boarding flight hello, a flight attendant asking me if I wanted a drink & snack as I woke up briefly, and the post airplane departure goodbye greeting. And as for the airplane interior, the seat was comfortable. On this flight, I had an acceptable amount of leg room on top of having my backpack underneath the seat in front of me. In spite of the delays leading up to my departure, I survived and would be open to flying with American Airlines, as well as recommending to a friend, relative or colleague after this experience. Safe travels, and blessings to all that read this review. ~Have courage. Be Kind. ~ Thomas G

We took a round-trip international 3 connecton flight schedule from Charlotte to JFK to Helsinki to Kattilla, Finland. The flights that we had with American Airlines departed late and caused undue stress on our family's travels plans. When we spoke with multiple American Airlines employees they were all very rude...especially in the JFK terminal 8 area. I'm also confused how our flight was scheduled to depart at 0600am but didn't depart until over a hour late....especially when there was no reported weather or mechanical issues. Matter of fact...the plane was parked at the departure gate foe 6 hours prior to the scheduled departure. Than when we boarded the plane my spouse asked if they had any alcohol cleaning wipes because of COVID-19...the flight attendant said that they were out. Which I think was a lie...because this was the first flight of the day for this crew and plane. Lastly...it is very disappointing that the AA policy regarding military boarding priority is only for active duty members that are in uniform. When many of the other airlines honor military personnel both active duty and retired members...SMH!!!

In flight WiFi is $25 which sucks

Easy check in with TSA pre and JFK is fun once in awhile. Business class is worth the flight credits and extra money!! In flight WiFi is $25 which sucks but at least I can text and answer emails and more importantly post Yelp reviews in flight!! The movie selection is lame! My eyes are dry from the recirculated air. Hmmm, what else can I complain about? Lolol

It was fast to check in luggage and get the baggage tags. But the TSA layout is a little confusing. Employees weren't super helpful either.

The airplane was in overall clean condition and the leather seats were very comfortable and functional. The movie and television show selection could've been better but this is a first world problem. The food and beverage service is limited to 1-2 tours per flight so I recommend packing your own bottle of H20 and snacks. Food isn't inclusive and it's best to make your meal purchases in advance. This allows for more choices and ensures availability. I opted for the steak Béarnaise sandwich on my way to Iceland which proved to be far better than I anticipated. Additionally, it was extremely filling and I only ate half essentially making it two meals. For the return flight, I purchased a Margherita pizza and an order of chicken nuggets. The nuggets were terrible - beyond bland and the only condiments they offered were ketchup and mayonnaise. I detest mayo and I think ketchup on chicken is gross so those went to waste. The pizza was edible at best so I wouldn't recommend either. My friend also had the steak sandwich on the initial flight and she opted for the turkey bagel sandwich on the return flight. This accompanied my chicken nuggets.... to the landfill. The flight attendants were much friendlier on the return flight but both flights were enjoyable and the pilots were great. We experienced a lot of turbulence on one of the flights but the pilot did an excellent job of keeping passengers informed. I would fly with Icelandair again and have no problem recommending them. Just be prepared to pay for some extras such as a decent seat and meals or snacks.

A Premium Experience That Made the Journey Memorable ## *A Smooth Beginning* I recently flew Business Class on an international route, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable flights I've taken in a long time. The experience started the moment I arrived at the airport. Instead of standing in a long queue, I walked straight to the dedicated Business Class check-in counter where everything was handled quickly and professionally. Within a few minutes, my baggage was checked, my boarding pass was ready, and I was on my way to security. The entire process felt organized and efficient, which immediately made the trip less stressful. After clearing security, I visited the Business Class lounge to relax before departure. The lounge had a calm atmosphere with comfortable seating, a wide selection of freshly prepared food, and excellent coffee. I spent nearly two hours there, enjoying breakfast while catching up on work using the complimentary Wi-Fi. It was a welcome escape from the busy terminal, and by the time boarding was announced, I already felt relaxed before even stepping onto the aircraft. ## *An Enjoyable Flight* Priority boarding allowed me to settle into my seat before the cabin became busy. As soon as I arrived at my seat, one of the flight attendants welcomed me with a smile and offered a welcome drink while the remaining passengers boarded. My first impression of the cabin was how quiet and spacious it felt. There was plenty of room to stretch out, organize my belongings, and get comfortable without feeling restricted. Once we reached cruising altitude, the dining service began. Every course was served individually, giving the meal a much more refined feel than a typical airline service. The food was fresh, well presented, and surprisingly flavorful. Throughout the flight, the cabin crew remained attentive, regularly offering drinks and making sure passengers had everything they needed without interrupting those who were resting. After dinner, I spent some time watching movies before converting my seat into a fully flat bed. I managed to sleep for several hours without constantly waking up, which rarely happens when I travel. Waking up refreshed instead of exhausted made a huge difference, especially knowing I had a full day planned after arriving. ## *A Great Finish to the Journey* Breakfast was served before landing, giving everyone enough time to prepare for arrival. The landing itself was smooth, and the premium experience continued after leaving the aircraft. My luggage arrived quickly thanks to the priority baggage service, allowing me to leave the airport without unnecessary waiting. Looking back, every stage of the journey felt carefully planned and professionally managed. It wasn't simply a more comfortable seat--it was a travel experience that made the entire trip more enjoyable from beginning to end. I would definitely choose Business Class again for another long-haul journey.

I bought an extra check-in luggage beforehand just in case as it seemed like you were not able to bring 2 baggages without a surcharge. I will say once I got onto the flight, I definitely could've just brought on the second baggage as they were not really checking for this. The seats were very much like a Spirit or Frontier, very cramped. Also, EVERYTHING costs money. I think maybe other than water which they don't "willingly" provide you, you need to purchase every other "fun" drink and menu item. There is also no free in-flight entertainment. It was very clear that this was a budget airline. Even the check-in was a bit chaotic as they didn't announce the group numbers and when you actually boarded the flight was very different from the ticket designated boarding time. That being said, the flight was actually fantastic. Very smooth and the views were absolutely amazing as we flew above the chunky clouds in the American Southwest. It was truly one of the most beautiful flights I've ever been on especially landing into CDMX during golden hour. I guess if you're looking for a nonstop flight from New York to CDMX, this is not a bad choice. Remember to bring food onboard as you will be hungry.

I was charged $480 for 3 (50lb) luggage without no explanation. Any other airline charges $30-35 per luggage. They also charged for a cup of water. Definitely, do not recommend this airline.

My friend was not allowed to board due to an e-visa issue, which was actually a mistake made by the issuing officer and was already in the process of being corrected. Despite this, the staff were unprofessional and unwilling to help at all during a very stressful situation. Instead of assisting, I felt like I was being passed around from counter to counter with no clear guidance or support. What made it even more frustrating was that supervisors initially called her on aside and promised they would help resolve the issue. However, in the end, there was no real support or solution provided, and she was simply shown the way out. Overall, the staff came across as unprofessional and unhelpful, especially at a time when customers are already under stress. The experience felt disorganized and left a very negative impression on me. Air India needs to significantly improve staff training and accountability. Customers should not be tossed around from counter to counter without proper assistance. In my experience, it felt like staff were avoiding responsibility rather than actively helping to resolve the issue.

I had to make all my reservations online, and that was fine. However, a couple of months before my trip I checked online to make sure our reservation and flight were all fine, and saw that our seats had been changed. This was because, according to them, the aircraft that we were supposed to use was changed to a larger plane. That of course was not a problem. The problem was that we had chosen two seats together, both window and aisle, and now we would have to share the row with someone else. But for the 3.5 hours trip I was able to make that exception. Then, a few days later, I looked again and saw the same thing had happened for the return trip. Once again, no email, no call, no nothing. Well, I didn't like it. I then called to cancel but was told that I would need to do everything online and request my refund online, which I did. The next time I plan a trip to Taipei I will spring the extra bucks for Eva Air or JAL or ANA. I don't like sudden changes, and especially don't like being told on the phone that this is something that everyone should expect! No, it isn't if you fly by any respectable airline! I also don't like surprises sprung on me. China Airlines is cheaper than the other airlines I mentioned, but it is not a budget airline by any means. I expected more than being told to "do it yourself" when I called them. I mean, really??? I can't comment on the food or inflight service as I wound up not going. However, if you have a choice, look for another way to travel. It's better to be safe than sorry. I know I will.

Here were some of the highlights: - I think they remodeled the inside cabins from the purple look they had before which was great. - The seats, I feel like, are able to extend back a lot more than the seats from other airlines. - I think what surprised me the most was definitely the meals. I do think that out of the two options I feel as if I chose the better one, but the food was actually pretty good. For dinner I had this rice noodle chicken dish and for lunch I had beef and rice. For both of the dishes, the vegetables were pretty tasty and not overly drenched in sauce. Also the flavor profile was on the lighter side and both of the meats were quite tender. However I do still think that they have some things to improve on such as the fact that their usb chargers don't actually work unless you are constantly pressing it at all times. Also, I don't like the headset set up as they don't have a normal input port and so you must use their headsets when you're in economy. But overall, its a lot better experience than I anticipated and will be flying with them more back to Taiwan.
