A great layover in iceland from 1 to 7 days. I did the one day just to check out the blue lagoon which was wonderful.

My experience with Icelandair was exactly what I anticipated based on my research and reviews I read. The airplane was in overall clean condition and the leather seats were very comfortable and functional. The movie and television show selection could've been better but this is a first world problem. The food and beverage service is limited to 1-2 tours per flight so I recommend packing your own bottle of H20 and snacks. Food isn't inclusive and it's best to make your meal purchases in advance. This allows for more choices and ensures availability. I opted for the steak Béarnaise sandwich on my way to Iceland which proved to be far better than I anticipated. Additionally, it was extremely filling and I only ate half essentially making it two meals. For the return flight, I purchased a Margherita pizza and an order of chicken nuggets. The nuggets were terrible - beyond bland and the only condiments they offered were ketchup and mayonnaise. I detest mayo and I think ketchup on chicken is gross so those went to waste. The pizza was edible at best so I wouldn't recommend either. My friend also had the steak sandwich on the initial flight and she opted for the turkey bagel sandwich on the return flight. This accompanied my chicken nuggets.... to the landfill. The flight attendants were much friendlier on the return flight but both flights were enjoyable and the pilots were great. We experienced a lot of turbulence on one of the flights but the pilot did an excellent job of keeping passengers informed. I would fly with Icelandair again and have no problem recommending them. Just be prepared to pay for some extras such as a decent seat and meals or snacks. read more

Icelandair had to cancel my flight back in Dec 2019 because of a broken part on the plane that I was going to go into. It caused delays in my vacation and I got a free voucher for a nearby hotel stay until tomorrow morning to board a new plane. Sucked that it caused my whole vacation to be delayed. Just now I filed a claim for the whole delay and broken plane and surprisingly I got back $1,200 for the whole delay. So it's good I got my reimbursement back for my whole trip to be screwed up by the broken plane. Imagine we boarded the broken plane then I would have been dead. Flew Icelandair over the weekend with a layover on the way to Copenhagen. Check in counter is a bit hidden in the back part Alaska airlines. They'll ask you to fit your luggage carry on and handbag into the sizing bin, didn't know they were so strict with sizes. Glad mine all fit but had to repack a few things while trying to squeeze them in. Besides that the check in process was straightforward. For going through security, there's actually no TSA pre check line so you'd just have to wait with the regular line. I'm traveling for work so booked business class, you get meals and drinks with the trip and access to lounge in both JFK's Terminal 7 (airport lounge) and at KEF (Saga lounge). JFK's lounge is right after TSA by the escalators up, food was kind of average but lots of seating and quiet space with good WiFi. Saga lounge in Iceland was packed with people. Got some pretty cool northern lights pics on the way into Iceland, it was pretty cold so bring a warm jacket. Overall my experience was decent on Icelandair, loved the Icelandic water and flight attendants were friendly. The flight from US/JFK was much nicer than the one from KEF to CPH (older plane). read more

I flew them coming back from Rey to the US. The return flight was $$$$$ but it's Iceland in the summer so not exactly cheap. For something like $60 extra I was able to get a window seat in the emergency exit row so I grabbed it (my first choice would have been an aisle in the emergency exit row). I used Seatguru and other websites to try to find photos and videos on the exact seat but couldn't find much about it so it was a gamble. My seat was 13F. I go to the row and was shocked with how little legroom there was for this being an extra legroom seat in an emergency exit row. Whenever I've booked this seat on any airline, the legroom was generous but not on this plane. What made things worse was 2 big men sat in the middle and aisle seat. You will need to make people get out of their seat when you want to walk around the plane or go to the bathroom. This isn't that awesome seat where you can just walk passed the people who are sitting next to you. No food is complimentary on transatlantic flights so bring your own food. They really don't like serving you complimentary water or soda so you have to ring a light. That said, the flight attendants were nice. MY EXPERIENCE AT THE AIRPORT- Maybe something was off that day? First, they are a mess! People who did online check in and just needed bag drop off still stand in the same line as those who didn't do online check in. It reminded me of how it was in the US years ago when online check in became a thing where customer service just would say "it speeds up the process". That was the only advantage. You all will be in the exact same line. The line did not move. Then there was the Icelandic version of TSA line which did move a little bit faster although still long. I arrived to the airport with a little more than 3 hours before the flight which is more than the recommended amount and I'm glad that I did (locals told me 2 hours is fine since the airport is small). After I dropped off my bag, I checked the monitors and my gate wasn't assigned yet where it said check at 9:35 (this was for a 10:35 flight...no I am not joking). Okay so I took my time browsed the duty free store (they have really awesome duty free stores at this airport) and went to the bathroom). I then saw my gate listed and headed to it seeing the passport control line. Note that the gate I was at (don't remember the number) was listed on the sign as being a 15 minute walk from where I currently stood so this isn't as small of an airport as you think. This was the longest line for anything that I have ever stood for at any airport in the world. The line did not move. Hundreds of people on a line where there were maybe 3 people working there. As I stood in line you could hear people say that they either missed their flight or that their flight is currently boarding. People were running to the front (cannot blame them, I would have done the same thing if I were them). I made it to my gate a few minutes before boarding. I'm not sure if it's that the airport is poorly ran or if it's Icelandair that is the problem or possibly both. Anyway my advice to people who have never flown out of this airport: This is the kind of airport that you do want to give yourself at least 3 hours even if you checked in online. Hell, even if you are doing carry on only. Also, even if they don't announce your gate, I would still wait in the security and customs line just to be safe. read more

Where to start with this extremely disappointing experience: got bumped even though we booked business. I made the mistake thinking that they only changed the departure time by a few times and clicked ok. Found out later that it was a day earlier. Iceland would not let me change for free but would have charged me more than the original price just to reschedule not even to the original day. Then they asked me during baggage drop off to check the size of my carry on which never happened to me. Even though I've always been able to take carry on (happens to be recommended carry on on NYTimes Wirecutter), not with Iceland Air. I ordered a vegan menu which they got right on one leg and changed by mistake to vegetarian on the other. I will never fly Iceland Air again. read more

You have over an hour wait on your phone support line, your chat support kicked me out of queue twice, and you have an insane circular logic of reccomendations going on via all of your support channels. Your phone line tells people to contact help via chat, your, chat support tells people to call in. My wife's mother is having a medical emergency, and I literally can't get a single rep from your company to contact me. This is beyond nuts, imagine if your wait time to buy a ticket was 1+hr? I'm honestly SO tired of companies creating just archaic, unusable support channels. I'm honestly tempted to just dispute the entire cost of the ticket with Amex and file with the BBB. This is a review for the actual airline. If you're in first class, you're treated perhaps better than most American Airlines would. And overall, people are quite courteous that work there. The problem is, I swear they have less legroom than any airline I've ever seen for the rest of us stiffs. And don't get started on the food. Here's the preordered steak sandwich. I was catching a cruise out of Reykjavic, so that wouldn't work. I had to change flights and catch an Uber to JFK to make my cruise. Worst part, ICELANDAIR'S CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CLAIMS DEPARTMENT IS NOT ACCESSIBLE! They have been dodging and denying my claims for no reason and without explanation. It is an OK airline to travel from point A to point B (in my case from Reykjavik to New York). They have good safety record. Booked Economy tickets for my family. Regular economy allows you to choose seats free of charge. Was able to check in on line. No meal provided at all even during an International flight. read more

I had the amazing opportunity to visit Iceland with some awesome people and the trip was great! Flew round trip from JFK to KEF. Checking in was okay. If you're traveling from JFK to KEF, I recommend that you do not get to JFK too early. I Icelandair leaves out of JFK at 8pm. I think that's the only time they fly from there. We got to JFK at about 1230 pm. So we waited around in the airport for several hours. The flight to iceland from JFK was about 6 hours. It was a rather smooth flight from take off to landing with no turbulence which is great. BUT... the seats were kinda small. Maybe I was expecting more wiggle room since it was an international flight but if you want more room.. it's best to book with first class. We dressed warm because we knew that the temperature in Iceland was 50 degrees. Unfortunately, they kept the temperature on the plane too warm. They did provide blankets and pillows but it was too hot to use either one of them. I did adjust my fan above me on full blast but it didn't help. I did doze off but kept tossing and turning because of the warm temperature on the plane. I wore fleece lined leggings going there. Coming back, I decided to wear lighter clothes which did help. I guess this airlines keep the temperature warm because of how cold Iceland is. This will be the warmest you'll be when traveling the country. If you want to be comfortable during your flight and not sure of the temperatures, please please dress in layers. You can always shed your clothing in the WC (that's what they call the restroom). They do provide WIFi for a small fee. I couldn't tell you how much that fee is because I decided to watch their free tv and movies. Another thing I noticed about this airlines, is that they only serve beverages (Icelandic water) for free. Everything else, you have to pay for. You can prepay for a meal 24 hours prior to your flight or order a sandwich or snack on the plane. Some items have to be ordered in advance. If you want to save money, try eating before boarding or bring something to eat on the plane. Flight crew do speak some English. I don't remember any of them demonstrating the emergency instructions. If they did, it was most likely in Icelandic. And I can't understand the language. read more

Preflight at the Icelandair JFK was different than most other airlines. There was no clear indication as to which counter is for business class check in. All the staff there were mainly focused on having everyone to size each and every item they carry on. They do this very mechanically even the items are obviously fitted in. You have to scan a barcode to find out why your business class ticket does not get you in a commercially operated lounge at JFK as the ground staff never bothered to explain. read more

Flew round trip from NYC to Reykjavik KEF a total of 6 hours. The least that could be given was free snacks, everything is for purchase on this airline. And what's with the constant announcements of donations? Seating is pretty tight and the legroom sucks. The flight crew were nice and professional and luggage arrival was the fastest I experienced. They also have a good selection of movies & TV shows on flight. I do suggest on long hour flights the least they can provide is the usual flight snacks and keep the food for purchase. We need to reschedule our flight and this airline will not work with us at all. They had the nerve to tell me that I should of predicted that my grandmother would be on her deathbed and cancel 7 days before the trip. We all should know when life throws this tragedy at you. October/November 2021 Flew round trip from NY to Rejvakik to Frankfurt and back. This is a fairly small airlines as there was only one flight going to Frankfurt a day. HEPA filtered air on the plane...PLUS Nice and professional flight crew...PLUS NO food or extras on flight ( like earbuds)..INDIFFFERENT In-flight entertainment...ADEQUATE LUGGAGE ARRIVAL ON TIME. For some reason our luggage did not make it on one part of the connecting flight...TWICE. We received our luggage 4 days into our trip. DHL delivered .. intact. Then on our return flight we didn't receive our luggage until 5 days later via FEDEX. What are the odds?. On a positive note, we were helped right away in GERMANY and given directions and tracking information. On the way back, we were immediately paged at baggage claim which scared the dickens out of me because I thought it was CUSTOMS. ( We don't travel abroad a lot) If they can just work out those kinks with the luggage, they'd be 5 stars. read more

Really Sorry to have to give a zero rating, I have nothing against the lovely people working at the Prague airport or at the Reykjavik airport. But they messed up and Icelandair is not being helpful. My son Bought a good guitar in Europe. Bought a top-notch guitar case built for air travel. He owned the brand-new guitar and case for less than 24 hours when-  Either loading the guitar in Prague or unloading it in Reykjavík, serious damage to the case and the guitar. Filed a claim, sent all documents, photos, repair estimate, 3 weeks into the claim and they offer me $100 for the damage to instrument and case. Yeah, NO. I am advising my son to file an official complaint with the US DOT to see if they can help. The Icelandair travel insurance itself states compensation up to 1,700. So, I am not happy. Looks like more weeks of emails and requesting a fair compensation for the damage they admit they did. Anyone else ever have a similar experience with damaged luggage using Icelandair? The emails I keep getting look like AI responses. The 1-800 number sends me to a third-party service. The check-in counter at the airport in Reykjavik was completely not helpful. read more

Since there is no Yelp in Iceland (hm, hello? what?), here is my review. Are you flying via KEF to another EU country? And you only have 50 minutes for your connection? Fear not, your connecting flight will wait for you. In fact, if you check the flight status record, the second connecting flight is almost always late. For example, the flight from KEF to AMS has never been on time. This means that if you were to have a friend picking you up at AMS, they will need to monitor the flight status and arrange the pickup accordingly on the day of. There is no free meal for this flight (and again, what?) and you can certainly make food purchases with euros or credit cards. They do offer you a pillow, a blanket, and a bottled water. Custom/boarder control in Iceland is quick. The signage inside the KEF airport is very clear. I was a bit worried about making to my connecting flight when I deplaned and saw the estimated time to get to my connecting gate is 15 minutes. I rushed upstairs and soon realized that the 15 minutes actually included the wait-time at the boarder control. So essentially, I got off the plane, took one set of escalator upstairs, made a left to line up for boarder control, then made an immediate left to get to my connecting flight. The gate was literally right there, after passing the passport check. One piece of advice: it is cold in Reykjavík. When I saw the temperatures (in the 50s), I thought I'd be fine with my NorthFace lightweight waterproof jacket. And I was wrong. Since you are right by the ocean, it is way colder and you will need an extra layer. If you are trying to buy a jacket at the KEF airport, good luck and be prepared for pay for like at least $200 for a jacket. read more

This was my first time flying this airline and I have to say I was very impressed. Boarding was super quick and as you walk into the plane they hand you a bottle of water. I made my way to the back of the plane where I was seating and was pleasantly surprised when I saw that every chair had a pillow and blanket. I always bring my own because I'm not sure how often they clean those things but I thought it was a nice gesture. Now the two things that I loved where the entertainment and amount of leg room. They have many movies, shows and documentaries on Iceland which I thought was awesome. I only bought some wine and chocolate and I didn't find it expensive as far as flying is concern. read more

I am a big fan or local airlines. I always find them to be different from big corporate ones, and they been good to my travels so far. I do have a mixed feelings about IcelandAir, but the good overweight the bad in my opinion. So I will start with bad - there is no free food served on board of international flight from US. Nada. Curiously, the coffee and refreshments was offered on flight inside the Europe, which was shorter, 3 hr flight. But on the bright side - you can purchase food on board, and I do suggest it - it is inexpensive, and delicious. US flight to Reykjavik is only 5 hours, tho - you can easily sleep or watch a movie and be in Iceland in no time! Another one misses - old TV screens with broken chargers on US flight - but on European one all chargers were working, and they did provide everyone with personal iPads for entertainment when TVs went out...nothing like that on US flight - do I see the pattern here?. (My geeky curiosity is killing me tho - how do they manage to recharge all those hundreds of iPads after the flights? That's a lot of work!) Great things: iPads are cool. Snack boxes, wine and other paid food choices are great. Comfy blankets and pillows with cute embroidery about Iceland were a nice touch, and there are good series about country on the entertainment system - watch it! *GASP* HOW CAN THERE BE NO YELP IN ICELAND?!? Ok, so I recently took a trip with the fiancé with an IcelandAir booked package where we fly with them and their sister company, Air Iceland, and stayed at their hotels: IcelandAir Hotel Natura in Reykjavik and IcelandAir Hotel Akureyri. The airline itself was fine. We left from JFK and they are located in terminal 7. Check in and baggage drop was short and quick for our 8pm flight on a Thursday. Keep in mind, the plane is kind of small and even carry-on sized rolling luggage might need to be checked due to weight or expanded size (which they said is why they allow 2 bags free). One thing to keep in mind: MEAL IS NOT INCLUDED (unless you're flying economy premium and higher), but you do get a water when you're entering the aircraft and drinks twice throughout the flight. There are items you can purchase, but definitely bring your own food, and snacks for that matter because even with a huge whole hero bread sandwich, I was still hungry after our 5 hr flight when we arrived in Iceland (ok maybe I'm a bit of a beast when it comes to food..) But bringing snacks will definitely come in handy because restaurants and food places don't open up in Iceland until at least 11am, but most places we saw didn't open until 11:30am/12 noon and our plane had landed at 6:05am...(I usually am a snack carrying queen, but decided to travel light this trip.. Never again!!). Our flight home was fine as well and I would fly with them again, I would just totally bring more food/snacks :) read more

Review of the airline - No free meals. No free snacks. Enjoy that free drink though! I purchased the sliders on the flight. They were $13. Filled me up but obviously overpriced for 3 bites. No luggage fees for the first two suitcases! Doing baggage dropoff and security was a breeze. Because who's going to Iceland, amirite? You get a super comfortable blanket and a pillow with an Icelandic lullaby written on it. Each seat has Icelandic words and translations written on it so you practice your vocab on the way there. Loved my trip to Iceland, but hated my flight to and from there. Icelandair was terrible! We flew out of JFK, and it was a bad experience the whole way. First, I guess we bought a ticket that did not include ANY checked baggage, so we had to pay for checked bags. That was fine, but it was extremely unclear on the website what the cost of an added checked bag was. Usually, it's $50 for an international flight on most airlines. However, when we got to JFK and checked in at the counter, they STILL could not tell us how much it was until after we agreed to check the bag. Ridiculous -- how do you not have standard prices/fees for checked baggage? Finally we found out that it was about $69 - super expensive too!! On the flight itself, too, they offer no food or even snacks, only drinks and coffee/tea. It's a long flight, so be prepared. On top of that, the seats are pretty uncomfortable. On the flight back from Iceland, they refused to seat my husband and I together since the flight was full. Granted we didn't check in early enough, but don't they have a basic algorithm to seat tickets bought together next to one another?! And on the flight itself, I noticed a LOT of couples, families, etc were all separated. This makes no sense. Pray nothing goes wrong with your flight because this airline's policies are strict and heartless. I had to change my flight due to my grandmother's funeral coinciding with the flight dates, and icelandair would NOT waive the change fee of $275. In fact they didn't even say "sorry for your loss", just "sorry it can't be done". No compassion whatsoever. Even UNITED AIRLINES waived my father's fees with proof. That says a lot about you icelandair.... I once loved icelandair because the cabin crew was excellent. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of their administrative side. Between yesterday and today, I have experienced the most terrible international commute of my life. I arrived for my Iceland flight that was supposed to depart at 5pm yesterday and am still here at the airport today, almost 24 hours later, waiting to board my flight at 5pm. This is in regards to their "Saga Class"cabin (business class). Negatives outweigh the positives. I would not fly with this airline again. Main issues are price, cabin comfort, and reservations customer service. However, FIVE stars to all of the flight attendants. It was absolutely not worth the money. Norwegian Air has a fleet of "Dreamliner" planes. They have a "Premium Class" cabin that is a lot cheaper and a lot more comfortable. When I compare the two airlines, Norwegian Air wins without a question. I flew round trip New York to Reykjavik. The flight to Reykavik was on an older plane. It was a Boeing 757-200. Their Boeing 757-300 is basically the same thing as well. Yikes! The cabin and seats were cramped. The leg room was limited. The TVs were outdated with touch screens that were poorly responsive and difficult to use. Lunch was average. The flight back was better. It was on a new plane, a Boeing 767-300. The cabin did not feel cramped. The seats were better, but still not the best. Leg room was still very limited. Lunch was excellent. read more

Had a wonderful time in Iceland even though there was a snowstorm. Package was booked through Icelandair.com. Flights, Hotel and Northern Lights tour. Booked 4-5 months in advance and got a really good deal. Things we did and loved (must!): Booked the Gullfoss, Geysir, snowmobiling in Langjökull, and Pinvellir tour. - This was the best tour. Saw so much with a knowledgeable guide. Blue Lagoon - Geothermal spa, this was great. Luckily the weather held up enough for us to visit. Worth the trip here even though it was freezing cold that day. Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights is only visible from September through March. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to see it because of the snowstorm and cloudy weather. I'll be back for this! FYI, can also be seen in other countries. Ate at: Sjavagrillid - This was amazing! Get their Lobster feast! That was much better than the Taste of Iceland. Wasn't a fan of the whale (tasted much like tuna), also had their puffin, and leg of lamb. Baejarins Beztu Pylsur - Delicious lamb dogs, their Cronions (fried crunchy onions) is what makes this so good. The Cronions can be bought at certain markets and shops at the Keflavik International Airport. Icelandic fish and chips - The cod fish was so fresh! Friends kept talking about it throughout the trip. Mixed reviews from my friends and I: Wasn't a fan of most of Sushisamba's foods, but some of their sushi was decent. Their free bread was good and was the best item at this place. Tapashusid - Good music, and their bread was delicious! First tasted the whale here. Great music here. Never had the time to stop by after dinner. Noodle Station - wasn't very good, broth was like watered down soy sauce. But, my friends liked it, Eldur and Is - Somewhat fresh gelato, also had the crepe. The crepe was good. Saegreifinn - The Sea Baron - Had their cod and whale kebab and their lobster soup. Everything was decent here. B5 - decent burgers, my friends liked it. Get the large fries if you have more than 2 people. B5 bar (turns to night club) and Úrilla Gorillan (there were 16 year olds hitting on my friends rofl) had the best music. Also bar / club hopped at Austur, English Pub, Icelandic Bar (name/owner change). Parties are usually Friday and Saturday nights. There is a pizza place opened until 4am next to the Subways, on the Laugavegur street (main street). Can pretty much walk through Reykjavik, no need for a car. Icelandair has great personal in-flight entertainment. Free Icelandic bottles of water prior to boarding the plane. Stayed at the CenterHotel Skjaldbreid, free wifi! Just get the password from them. I recently flew Icelandair to Paris with a stop over in Reykjavik. All 4 legs of my journey were completely packed, but I thought the service was still quite good. The flight attendants were friendly and attentive. Sitting in economy I had to pay for food, but they do offer a varied selection of snacks/meals for you to buy and prices are not outrageous. Entertainment on board the flight was nice and kept me occupied for hours. They have a nice selection of recent releases and a few quality older movies. The music selection was also very good. You get to sample lots of really cool Icelandic artists that you probably have never heard of. I will definitely try to fly them again the next time I go to Europe especially since I can stop over in Reykjavik for free again. read more

Icelandair lost my husband's bag on July 29. We have filed a claim, left four voicemails, sent several emails, and call the American customer service line every other day. The Customer Relations team in Iceland is the "responsible" department, who is non responsive. The Lost Baggage department should be searching for the bag, but the American customer service team tells us only that "the Lost Baggage team is very busy." So after almost a month, we have no bag, no compensation, and no response from the airline about when we will receive compensation or what they are doing to find the bag. We do not even know where it was lost, only that there was no record of it arriving at our destination. We are only told our claim is "being processed" via the online database. I have been to 30+ countries, traveled on as many airlines, and this is by far the worst "service" ever received. We paid for the airline to transport us and our bags. They failed to provide that service, and have failed to take responsibility to fix the situation. I do not recommend this airline. read more

IF I CAN GIVE NO STAR I WOULD !! ICELAND AIR !! How I hate them !! I will never fly with this airline EVER again ! First and last time !!- so when we got to JFK airport we were not charged for our 1st carry on ! And they told us "one carry on is free" so that was ok ! This was an Effin 6 hour flight and all they offered was a water bottle and a can of your choice of soda- WTF !?! & the seats are so uncomfortable !!! Ok so we landed in Ice land and got on another Iceland aircraft which was a 2 hour flight, weirdly that airplane was a lot more spacious and comfortable then the 6 hour flight airplane ! I fell asleep on the plane and I shut the window, why when we were landing one of the flight attendant came and woke me up by tapping me and YELLING that I had to open the window thing ! I HAVE FLOWN ALL MY LIFE AND I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE SOMEONE WAKING ME UP TO OPEN A DAM WINDOW THING !! When we finally arrived I landed in Ireland- I went to claim my luggage and my handle was SAWED OFF- I was furious but I already was annoyed and just wanted to go to the hotel and relax. After my stay I sadly had to return to USA in the same Effin airline- this time we had to pay for our luggage "95$" which I had no clue about so I got annoyed quickly ! Once I got on the flight I fell asleep and one of the flight attendant kicked me to put my leg in front of me "bitch" I was so annoyed ! Don't do it. The gate opens 2 hours ahead of fight. They claim that is standard. IT IS NOT!!! We all flew in from multiple airports and now are just stuck siting in the terminal for 7 hours They said we could sit in the lounge since we are first class. Just returned from our trip to Iceland for New Year's Eve. We flew Iceland air on December 28th out of JFK. Extremely disappointed that not only do they not serve ANY meal on an overnight flight, but they also do not give any free snacks. Not even peanuts or pretzels. For the amount of money we spent on an airline ticket I think that is completely unacceptable. You are forced to buy food and because I am a vegetarian I had VERY few options to choose from. The seats are also not roomy AT ALL. I felt clostrophobic between my husband and another man the whole way there. I don't expect first class space but I might as well have flown WOW air if I wanted to be squished like a sardine. The only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of two is because the baggage claim and check in process leaving Iceland was remarkable. Very seamless and quick while still being very safe. read more

AWFUL. Please do not take. Maybe they're ok if everything goes right. In my roundtrip experience (4 flights), not a single one went right. Worst part was the check-in openly lying to customers to get them on the plane. Flight was delayed out of NYC for ~2 hours. Long line of people hoping to make their connecting flights out of KEV. Desk agent said "all flights out of KEV will be held" so all passengers satisfied. Upon landing in KEV, we are informed that all flights have left. This caused over 300 people to be rebooked anywhere from 8 to 24 hours later. If the airline has just been honest, we could all have made arrangements. Their need to lie to us caused significant hardship as the KEF airport is not set up to handle so many stranded passengers. Needless to say, the airline found a loophole to reimburse no one for this lie and 24hr+ delay. Maybe if you have no need to arrive at your destination remotely near your scheduled arrival, don't mind taking 3+ connections to get from NYC to Europe, and are fine living in KEF airport, this airline is for you! Otherwise... Norweigan air offers better prices, direct service, and less rude personnel. Why wouldn't you save money, time, effort, and pride and just take the better option?! read more
