This is my second time stopping by the store in three years. I'm now planning to come every time we visit Tucson. Incredible selection of Native American jewelry and extremely knowledgeable staff. A well organized antique mall, they are not as crowded as some places in town, but they also know the value of their items, so bargain hunting is not the main draw. It is cool to look at old items and reflect on the past. Each area has different seller's items and you can certainly feel the mood of the seller's booth. Parking streetside is crowded and maybe a little dangerous pulling out. There is better parking behind the building. The best thing was the friendly staff, they were not intrusive nor were they following you around nor did they ignore you. We go and look around often at antiques, and this mall certainly will be a regular stop. I noticed a definite western theme for most of the mall, but there were a variety of booths and collections. Pricing was based on the various seller's but I would say the prices were moderate, with some booths being very pricey. read more

My husband and I had a positive experience browsing through the store during our visit in Tucson. The lady who helped me was very informative and patient. I tried on several things just for fun. A local biz- always a plus- with tons and tons of affordable and cute things. It was windy and cold today and they had lockers with keys ( for free) so I could stash my coat. I got in here kinda late on Saturday about 4:30, They close at 5. First and foremost, They have amazing stuff, Not just jewelry and furniture for the girls, They have guy stuff too!! Before I walked out, I was over 3 bills lighter. Girlfriend found a killer Lucite purse and I found an amazing metal flake 60's helmet. I really liked this place. The staff was very courteous, and so kind. I don't know what Sarah H. is talking about? They helped when we needed it and left us alone when we were discussing things. I figured they'd be rushing us since we got in so late, but they let us stay an extra 20 minutes just to make sure we looked through everything we wanted. Who does this? No one. Pricing was better than we are used to living in Cali so it was on average about 25% cheaper than usual. I was going to give this place a 5 star, but I couldn't because they had no antique/vintage clothing. Most places at least have a few items. I will definitely be back when I come to Tucson again. read more

I went here specifically to buy turquoise cabochons, to make my own jewelry. there is a LOT in here so you may want make sure you have enough time. also during summer they are NOT open everyday, so check if open. I went directly to the turquoise which at the very back and the gentleman actually does his own lapidary work there also. VERY knowledgeable about turquoise, where it was from, what to look for, etc. I laid down a pretty penny for what i bought, but i have also looked at quite a few places in arizona and this had some large beautiful pieces. thank you !!!!! read more

I've found some of my very favorite things at this mall and it's one of my favorite places to shop in Tucson. The owners are maybe some of the nicest people that you'll ever meet and they have always been quick to help. The place is large enough that you'll probably end up getting lost at times but it's not so large as you'd feel overwhelmed by the massive size of it. It's not some high pressure place where you feel compelled to buy something you don't really want and they have enough dealers that the selection pretty much covers everything in most any price range. They have this gigantic parking lot in the back so you don't have to fight for limited parking spaces and it's even dog-friendly so if you're inclined to stop by on the way to the dog park you can bring your well mannered dog. If I had to find something not so great to say the only thing I can come up with are the hours. I'd personally like to spend some more weekend time there and they are not open on Sundays. [Although their website does say that they frequently are there on Sunday so give them a call and you might get lucky.] But I guess everyone needs a day off so I can forgive them. :) The owners are also certified appraisers so they always seem happy to give you an idea of what something is and, of course, what it's worth. They are buyers too so often they are a good place to take your unwanted treasures to if you were interested in selling them. There are some pretty good antique malls and stores in Tucson and I'd rank these guys as absolutely one of the best. read more

My husband and I love antiques and SW pottery and jewelry so on our recent trip to Tucson we came across American Antique Mall. This is a very well set up shop with a very wide variety of items. The collection of Native American jewelry was splendid. I like the older heavier pieces. The couple that waited on us were very knowledgeable and so helpful. I have honestly never been so insulted as I was when we walked into this antique mall. As soon as we opened the door, two woman practically jumped on us, "Can we help you?! Are you looking for anything we can get for you?". When I responded that we just wanted to look around, the other woman followed us through the entire store, as if I was about to steal the silver. I picked up a small glass piece to look for a price, and she almost yanked it out of my hand. We are regular putterers and have introduced our children to flea markets and antique malls with great success. They have learned how to search for a bargain, how to barter and how to behave in a store. Here, everything was locked down under glass cases, and the staff treated us like criminals from the moment we opened the door. We will never go back. read more

So deceiving from the outside, once you enter you realize just how big this place is and how much wonderful merchandise they have. You could spend hours here checking out all the fun, interesting and historical items. The prices are very fair and the owners kind, caring and interested in answering any questions .
