About 9 months ago I had my car serviced here and was well taken care of by the staff. While driving, I had noticed a part they repaired had broken, no fault of my own, so immediately I called them. They got me right in first thing this morning. Come to find out, the part they repaired was repaired well, and Lodi Honda, who I had taken my car to for an oil change about 2 months ago failed to replace or didn't tighten the clips that secure the shield under my vehicle. Miguel from American auto body really went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. My fiancé was rear ended and our insurance company sent the car to American Auto Body. Miguel consistently gave me updates on the status of my vehicle so I was not left in the dark. After I got my car back it had a slight wobble and Miguel said to bring it in and they would take care of it. It ended up being a result of a tire that wasn't round ( I had previously bought off brand tires) but they still re-balanced the wheels and made it ride smoother. It's that level of customer service that will bring me back to them next time I have any auto body needs. read more

I would not reccomend coming here. Took my car in for some detailing and noticed a small dent when it was returned to me. I called the shop and asked if they had accidently hit it & of course they denied it. When I spoke to the owner Gary, he basically accused me of lying. He stated, and I quote " We fix cars we dont wreck them!" I never accused him of wrecking my car I simply asked & he got very deffesive. I then told him it was probably a mistake or an accident (you know it happens sometimes) and he responded with "We dont make mistakes!" I asked him if he was "perfect" and he agreed. Took my truck here since they were a DRP for my insurance so I assumed that would make the process faster. They were not fast in completing the estimate and once it was completed I was shocked at the amount of mistakes made on my estimate and on the valuation report that was submitted to the insurance. I could live with a couple of errors but another shop being able to drop the estimate by $2600 with just confirming the correct parts pricing and 17 missed options is a bit extreme. Basically just going through the motions and doing the bare minimum here. Would not recommend you go here if accuracy of work is a concern for you. read more

After I got rear-ended by an uninsured crackhead, I took my car to American Auto Body for an estimate. The damage was extensive enough where my insurance company initially wanted to total the car, which I didn't want. Brian worked with me, looking for used parts and other ways to save some $$ so I'd still have the repairs done without the insurance company declaring it a total loss (to avoid a salvage title on the car). The work took a couple of weeks, but when all was said and done, the car looked good as new, the title was clean, and it only cost me a couple of hours of my time, in total. I hope I never have a need for body work again, but if I do, I'll come back to American. read more

Awesome service. I took my vehicle here several times. I've always received top notch service. Today I took my truck in to get an estimate for a dent in the bumper, it was a small but nonetheless it was a dent. Dan, one of the estimators, ask if I had 30 minutes to spare. He took it into the shop, removed the dent and also polished out the front head lights... He finished up in about 20 minutes and didn't charge me a dime. Absolutely amazed at such great service. Unfortunately, I have had the need to use this company more than I care to admit. I keep returning to this place for several reasons... 1. They treat us like an old friend. 2. The work is PERFECT. My cars come back looking better than before the accident. 3. They truly try to make things right. They consider items from the accident that I definitely wouldn't have! 4. They go above and beyond. Currently my husband's car is there and they are making sure that his (red gets so easily sun faded, so it's VERY hard to match it) car looks well blended by going above and beyond what is required of them. 5. Their shop is approved (and preferred )by all big insurance companies so it couldn't be easier! I am grateful for this little local gem! I was sad that it took a couple weeks to get my husband's car INTO the shop because they are pretty packed... BUT i can tell you that the wait was 100% worth it! I had a horrible experience. I waited six weeks so that I could use the select service provider thru State Farm and they had Hertz rental car access as well. Also, a State Farm provider. Arrived and was fine until the car that was sent there from Hertz was sent needing maintenance and per Miguel was not rentable. I was then told they had a path finder, I agreed this was fine. Then I was told I needed to pay an additional $15.00 per day,and if not I was going to have to go to Hertz at another location. I was not pleased and did not holler curse or any thing just questioning what solution was next. Miguel tells me it's not their fault, and I replied it's not my fault either when a "boss"? Named Dan jumps up and says"do you want your truck fixed today?" It felt like a threat. That if I didn't pay up orThat if I don't get in line and go with the new program he won't fix my car. So I go outside to call my husband and Miguel comes out and tells me they won't do my repair cause he can't make me happy???!!! I agreed and left. But first told him they had No customer service. read more

My daughter has been in an accident twice this year. American Body Shop has repaired her vehicle both times and both times have done an excellent job. Their customer service is also excellent. Gary over there is wonderful. The 2nd time she was in an accident it took AAA's tow truck over 3 hours to get to my daughter's car and Gary waited until after 6:00 for the tow truck-they normally close at 5:00.
