Don't come here they sell cars that they know are bad vehicles. I bought a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee in April. I've only driven it 3 months. It's constantly needing work. My husband is good at working on cars. But this car was pas no return. We had to take it in to Jeeps dealership to get it fixed just for them to tell us we were at $21,000 and need a new engine and transfer case. A $8,000 car going to $21,000 and no vehicle at the end. I will be seeking a lawyer and if you bought a car from them please reach out to me to discuss your horrible experience with them. Warranty was no help either. Latrice3899@gmail.com Don't buy a car here they can't even fix the cars they get from the auction. Cheack out the auction first. And just buy yourself a dealer permit to buy cars cheaper like they do at least you save your money.

I called American Auto Depot. I talked to Joel and he was very professional. I'm live in San Bernardino and never went to the dealer. I live almost 400 miles away. The whole deal was made over the phone. Joel made me feel comfortable enough to buy a 1964 Impala for $45k with out going to dealership. Joel promised to have car shipped to me as soon as possible and he kept his promise. I recommend anybody to buy a car from American Auto Depot. I hope to soon buy another car from Joel.

They sell cars that do mot have required smog on them. Shady used car dealership. My friend got burned like so many others! Shame on American Auto Depot.

Body looked great but that was just about it as I soon discovered. First thing was driver's seat wouldn't raise or lower so they kept the car for 2 weeks on the pretext of fixing it. Little did I know the real reason they didn't want me driving it back to Nevada that day was because 1) I would have had to fill the gas tank and seen that the tank level sensors weren't working as would only register between empty or 1/2 full, 2) the car would have overheated as radiator wasn't functional , Ac condenser bad which I would have discovered on way back to Nevada if I even made it that far- and would have returned the car that day before the check cleared. On delivery 2 weeks later after being unloaded from car shipping trailer- the battery was dead and had to be replaced. The gas tank registered empty and when I filled it- it only came up to 1/2 full. Repairs needed immediately- radiator, AC condenser, gas tank had to be removed to replace sensors, rough ride so new shocks then discovered it was the bushing ends that needed repair. New tires as tires bad and new headlights as likewise bad. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. 11k spent on repairs but final insult recently was when instrument cluster failed and I had to pay 2500 for a new cluster and to have it cloned to old one. Suddenly an air bag light was present- the shop discovered a piece of paper in the old cluster when they pulled it that was covering the air bag warning light explaining why I suddenly had an air bag light showing with the new cluster. Don't know if El Vista did that or they bought the car at auction that way but I do know they knew all the other mentioned things were bad as had the car 2 weeks going over everything so were aware of all the issues. Also they never fixed the seat which they used as a reason to prevent me driving the car home that day.. Very sketchy auto sales. Don't buy from them. I'm now in process of getting air bag issue fixed after already putting in $13, 500 into car for repairs to date and that was not counting the initial $6,995 cost to purchase car. See photos of car on purchase with their El Vista tags on it. They have already removed my review once but I will continue to keep putting it back on to warn others.

Since these two lots supposedly belong to the same people as the Volkswagen dealer, it will be convenient to return the car to the VW dealer and shop the two lots. I spent some time at the lot next to the VW/Hyundai dealer and no one came to see me. That's odd. I've been to car lots where I would only be halfway out of my car and someone would be there to greet me. In any case, prices are clearly marked. Some of the cars are previous rentals, so they should have had all scheduled maintenance. They list which cars were rentals on the web site but not on the price listing. The other lot, next to the Nissan and Dodge dealers is somewhat mixed with the new vehicles and it's a bit confusing what is used (excuse me, pre-owned) and what is new. On a previous visit, a salesperson was quite helpful. This time, a salesperson stared a me, as if to figure out whether I had money or not, and then, went about his business without a word to me. I really don't want to buy a car now, but the mess is forcing this. If the sales people don't want to bother, what incentive do I have to shop there?

The transmission is bad, there was a used one put in it , bad radiator , leaks from the power steering hoses ruined the alternator putting the car in limp mode, bad shocks, bad brakes, bad right side axle. bottom line 13,000.00 in repairs needed on this car that I paid 8,000.00 for and put less than 2000 miles on. This family owns City Gear on ninth Street also which they say is separate from Road to Durability but they're the same soulless family ,and I encourage everyone to purchase your vehicle 's elsewhere. Their get down is this, they keep the fluid levels low on the cars so they don't leak until you get it home or have driven it for a while ,and once you fill up your fluid, that's when all you can see all the leaks and the problems start. We told them that we needed a safe reliable car to get back-and-forth to my husband's surgery in San Francisco. When I got there we had began filling out paperwork and I went to get the deposit and when I got back.. The one was still not fully completed but it was near the end of the day so I gave her the deposit and I got a receipt. When I went back in the morning to finish the paperwork... The loan was denied because she impersonating me and they cut the loan completely off. She got another lender by also impersonating herself as me and was able to complete the purchase.... But during this time I had continued to ask if the vehicle was a rental car... And she said no it was not.. The one thing that I did not ask was for the Carfax... Once I got back from the credit union getting the check, just excited I got the car I had been hoping for...also informing the credit union that this was the first id spoke w them........ I am asked hastily to sign the Carfax.... I have already done the transaction and now come to find out that this vehicle was in severe accident.... And it was a rental vehicle. I felt deceived after the fact because she was very adamant and pushy knowing this was the car I wanted. The insurance company she helped me with was a full on fly by night company and was cancelled within 7 days. I wouldn't recommend coming here as you never know what someone is doing with the personal information provided ... And knowing that she was not out front about the car was definitely upsetting and felt completely like a used car salesman.... I have a few ticks with the vehicle that I will have to address in the future with a reputable mechanic. Please avoid this place
