They'll get you where you're going, sure. But that's assuming they show up at all in the first place. If and when they do show up, it's liable to be anywhere between 10 minutes and two hours late so plan way in advance of when you need to be somewhere. Once that's out of the way, be prepared for longer than necessary, roundabout routes to ensure you rack up as high a meter as possible. If you like waiting indefinitely and driving in zigzagging circles up and down side streets to pay out the ass, this is the cab company for you. If not, I'd strongly consider finding another company. read more

I would never recommend either after our horrific experience last weekend. At our initial pickup the driver was over 20 minutes late and we missed our dinner reservation. He also didn't have a car that suited our party. He subbed out a van that did not fit all five of us with seatbelts. And when we expressed our concern to the driver himself, he laughed and said good luck getting an Uber. We had had some wine at dinner otherwise we would have driven ourselves. After dinner at our second pickup they instead sent two cars but one of the drivers was completely unsafe speeding and smelled of alcohol. We called and asked for another driver for our final destination which they could not provide so we had to find additional transportation that cost us an added out of pocket expense. This is not a dependable or safe service. I would never use again.

Every cat has to start somewhere, and STMM gives them a great environment to learn to socialize and adapt to not being in the dangerous situations that they were rescued from! I've watched many of their cats go from extremely anti-social to snuggly in their time with this organization. I have adopted two cats from them, and helped a roommate adopt one as well. They are extremely helpful and as long as you communicate, they give you a lot of grace throughout the adoption process! If you're not looking to adopt a cat, you're also just free to hang out and play with the kitties! I end up going just for a third space to do homework and stuff! They have snacks and drinks for sale that you can enjoy during your stay as well. They also have a ton of great goodies in the shop portion of the space, and you can even buy collars or accessories for the lounge cats to wear! Overall, I've never had a bad experience here. This place has been my escape when going through difficult times, and the staff are genuine people that will connect with you. I cannot recommend coming to this place enough!

I would've been happy to keep fostering if I knew that they were going to lie and betray me. I fostered Charlie and Lois, a brother-and-sister bonded pair, for two years. In all my years of fostering, I have never seen two cats more attached to each other. They slept together, comforted each other, groomed and were rarely apart. If Lois had to go to the vet without Charlie, he would become visibly distressed. The photos speak for themselves. Before they left my care, to go here I was assured over and over they would not be separated and I was extremely paranoid about it at first-but I trusted it in the end. I mean, I literally must have asked at least six times that they were going to be kept together and I HAVE IN WRITING they would NOT separate them. ...I would have NEVER had them go here if I knew this would have happened. I was also discouraged from visiting the first week which I now I find super suspicious. Despite that strong assurance, they were separated, and when I asked for them to be returned to me, my request was refused. THEY DIDNT EVEN TRY to get them adopted together!! Separating a bonded brother and sister was an unnecessary decision that ignored the bond these cats shared. I cannot imagine the stress and confusion Charlie and Lois may be experiencing after spending their entire lives together. And then look at the text message they sent me after going absolutely ballistic finding out that they didn't adopt them out together - telling me that they were not exhibiting any of the behaviors that I posted in the pictures. Ridiculous blatant lies. I am sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions. Based on what happened, I no longer have confidence in this organization or the commitments that were made to me. I also intend to pursue my legal options regarding this matter. Charlie and Lois deserve better. SHAME ON YOU ALL!

That made a big difference. I scheduled a pickup date and time, and they were on time and reliable. They stayed in communication with me throughout the entire process and even sent text updates, which I really appreciated. At one point, I couldn't find the pink slip, and they patiently walked me through what I needed to do. Luckily, after searching, I found it. They came, picked up the car, and wrote a check for the exact amount we agreed on. I'll start by saying I've used American Cab dozens of times over the last five/seven years. When I need a cab in Palm Springs, they were always my first call. Not anymore. Tonight, I requested a cab and was asked if they could send an unmarked cab. Weird, but I said no since it was late at night. I was told the cab would be there in ten minutes. Driver called to indicate arrival and hung up without saying anything, so I went out to check. There's a cab at the far end of the block, not at the address I gave for pick up. Since it's a busy area, I have no idea if it's even for me. I call back and ask if that's their cab. Dispatcher confirms that is their cab, Cab#26. I ask her to have him come forward to where I am. She tells me the driver is there. I explain that he is not there, but almost a block away. Five more minutes go by, three different phone calls, and the guy finally pulls up. I point out the address on the building. He basically tells me he's there, quit talking and give a destination. I give him my destination and he goes the wrong way. Once he starts in the right direction, I asked why all the problems getting a cab after I've had so many years of good service with them. He whispers that he can't speak about other drivers, but that he arrived where he had been told to go. He gives me the price (granted, it was $1.73 less than what the meter said) and I gave him what he quoted. He looked at me like I'd spat on his cereal. I told him 'Next time, don't be so arrogant when you pick someone up.' He told me 'Don't give so much attitude!' Seriously? You're late, you're going the wrong way, and you're rude? Never again, American Cab. You totally lost me as a customer. read more

As a driver I quit due to the company not caring about the safety and security of the military they drive for, we have a van with a gasoline leak and we were told to drive it regardless about the safety. My cab 805 has a bad transmission and is jumping from 1st to 3rd, I was told to drive it regardless if I end up on the side of the road with riders. The AC in my van stopped working and the company sent me to a man who said that the vehicle needed to be done by a real automatic and not him but the company is all about the money and again not the safety of its driver's or rider's. I'm a dependent of a Military man who has seen so many of our service members get used and sadly this is one of them companies. Don't use them! I recommend anyone but this place, they will over charge for a ride and show up late as well as be rude to the military members. safety issues is a highly recommend reason not to use this place, as a wife of a Marine and a driver I quit today and am saying stay far away from them. use Suncab or All around cab or my favorite Yellow cab as you know the car's are safe and people who drive them care. read more
