I needed an airport transfer from Twentynine Palms to Palm Springs Airport (PSP). I had a 6 AM flight and at least an hour drive between Twentynine Palms and PSP. I could not find any other company willing to schedule my transfer and was getting worried. I saw Desert Sun Cab in a Google search and gave them a call. They immediately scheduled my early morning pick-up. had a reasonable, flat rate, and arrived 15 minutes earlier than requested. The driver was very professional and friendly. They got me to the airport perfectly on time. Overall, Desert Sun Cab provided excellent service. My airport transfer went smoothly and it was a great experience. I've used them 3 times now for late night scheduled pick ups and it's worked great. Just make sure you call them ahead of time, then they usually have you text them your info and if it's from Pappy's they'll have you pay up front. Make sure you communicate where to get picked up and be there on time! It's not Uber, so just be smart and Desert Sun Cab will help you out. read more

Booked a ride with this company for a round-trip fare. The ride to the destination was fine, but on the ride back, the driver drove 15-20 mph under the speed limit. Whether he did this to hike up my fare or have more time to spew unrequested political conspiracy theories, I have no idea. If you're ever in the mood to pay double on a fare and listen to more QAnon theories than the uncle you don't invite to Thanksgiving, this is the cab company for you! I hope this driver isn't a representative of the company as a whole, but I don't care to find out. read more

I called a month in advance and made a reservation for an early morning airport trip. He told me to text them the details and I did. About a week ago I texted and asked to confirm, and he confirmed. The day before I texted to ask how I should pay. He did not respond. That night before I called to check. The person who picked up sounded confused, then said that someone else had cancelled and he had cancelled my reservation as well. In the mean time I got a separate ride to the airport, so I told him I'd like to cancel. He sent me a text saying I "wasted his time this evening" and then insisting that I had sent a text and cancelled. Horrible experience with this company. I don't know if my driver, Gage, was on meth or what, but I felt very unsafe with him. He drove me to my camp ground, but told me that I couldn't take me to my camp site (I had a cooler and a bunch of camping gear with me). When I told him it was literally 50 yards away (and actually on the way back to the main road) he flipped out and gunned it. I told him to let me out. He didn't respond and kept driving. I told him to let me out again, and again he didn't say anything. It turned out that he was taking me to my campsite after all (after he had insisted that he couldn't) but he wouldn't talk to me to let me know what he was doing. I wasn't asking him to roll out a red carpet for me. Bro, I just paid 50 dollars to have you drive me to my campsite with all of my stuff. Don't drop me off 50 yards away so I have to make several trips to get all of my stuff to my destination. read more

been using for two years now alway on time for me. had an emergency last night around 1230 they pick me up at the emergency room take me home with no problems. I called more than an hour ahead to ask for a 10:30 pick up ...., emphasizing that I would really need an "on time "pickup as I was about to take a Valium (an hour before as prescribed) ....before my Dental Appointment in downtown Blythe .I explained that I would be "counting on the Driver" explaining that i would also be absolutely depending on a ride home as well ,about an hour or so later . He assured me he understood and that he would be my round-trip ride . Pick up time came ......and went.... NO CALL , NO CAR ..., COMPLETE FAIL!!!! 20 minutes later, after getting no answer or call back from DISPATCH OR THE DRIVER....I ended up calling my apartment complex manager( pretty much in tears) , to beg for a last minute ride. Amazing save for my dentist , The hygeinist , and me. Luckily this acquaintence kindly "dropped every thing" &used his lunch break to oblige me with an "urgent ride". The MIA taxi driver ?.... DID NOT EVEN CALL till I was already in the dental chair .... very late indeed .... the dispatch manager also never called back. ... Even after finding out about his driver's pick-up fail. HORRIBLE ,LAME SERVICE . Fast and flexible! They were able to get us to the Joshua Tree National Park entrance and met us at the gate for the return trip.

This is my go-to for Twentynine Palms/Palm Springs area. They're clean, polite, and always on time. They get you where you need to go quickly, and there's none of the nonsense you find with some other companies such as charging a waiting fee while you pay out your bar tab or driving in circles to rack up the meter. The only downside is they don't do point to point on base. One especially awesome time I got to hold a puppy for our hour long ride due to the driver having to drop him off with his new family. Seriously if you need a cab in Twentynine, go with these guys. When they dropped us off at our hotel they even checked to see if we wanted them to come back and be there at our checkout time. They're sincere and well-managed. You won't regret calling them. read more

Great cab service. We arrived late and on motorcycles and didn't want to navigate the sand road at night. Called desert sun can and he was friendly quick and accommodated our last minute evening ride request to get to the grocery store. A true lifesaver! I tried really hard to use these guys! I'm from Canada so I tried to book online without having to call long distance. I used their online booking tool and did not receive a response. So I followed up a week later via email, and still heard nothing. We used Uber instead while we were in Joshua Tree and had great and quick service. Much better option if these guys can't get it together enough to respond to a reservation request with 2 weeks notice. read more

My husband and I were stranded outside of Blythe when our car suddenly stopped working on the side of the highway. We called AAA and had our car towed into town. We were not sure what was wrong with it and thought we would have to stay the night and have it looked at in the morning since it was a Sunday. When we called a cab to pick us up and take us to a hotel, the driver was kind enough to call his son who is a mechanic and he came out to look at it for free. Luckily we found out that our car was out of gas which we were not aware of because the gage was off and said we had 41 miles to go. Both the driver and the son were extremely kind and generous. We are so grateful for their generosity. They gave us water and let us sit in the air conditioned car on a hot summer afternoon. To say the driver went above and beyond is an understatement. I would strongly recommend this cab service. This driver put the customer first! read more
