I previously attended this school for the ultrasound program. I never had a great experience with the staff there. Very unprofessional and they have a I don't want to be here attitude. Fast forward to November, I called numerous times and left messages for a call back. I needed assistance with obtaining my transcripts. No one ever called back. 3 weeks of calls and messages and no one called me back. Beyond unprofessional. I finally get someone to answer a phone call yesterday and they tell me that I need to request via email.. so why didn't anyone call back to inform that? I asked to speak to the manager and she stated she had no information for her or how to get a hold of her. Ridiculous. I asked to speak to someone in that department. Everyone was out to lunch. I call again after lunch and again, no one answered!! Just ridiculous and unprofessional. If you don't like your job, go work somewhere else. Avoid this school. read more

They use ATI for test proctoring. In instances where this program identifies the student as a cheater, you are given no opportunity for defense. The review board hangs their hat on whatever ATI says and the student is shown the door. But make no mistake, Smith Chason calling early and often for their money. Used a groupon for 3D ultrasound. Awesomely, paying cash, they accept a screen shot on your phone of the groupon deal. so I opted for the $44 deal that included a stuffed animal with a heart beat. The gallery seats 8 guests and I was laying next to the machine. We even brought our almost 3 year old; we let him pick the stuffed animal. They had a dog that looked like a Rottweiler, sheep, pig, giraffe, fox... no teddy bear, ironically. Our son picked the pig. Interestingly, she's going to be born in the Chinese Zodiac year of the pig. They confirmed gender. We got some decent black and whites as well as a CD of images. We're 29 weeks. No personal photos or videos allowed. My mom suggested they heat the ultrasound gel, but I didn't mind. read more

So where shall I start, I am currently in my last mod of externship and this journey was a JOURNEYYYYY!!!! I attended the Ontario campus and the Instructor Mr. Ellis and Director Zac were my favorites. Mr. Ellis will definitely have you ready and confident enough to go into the field. Zac is understanding and compassionate towards the students. My overall experience at WCUI was good except when it came to the financial aspect of things, now I know we take risk when it comes to education and it puts a temporary detriment on our financial situation, but to make a student fell like a number and not a human being trying to better themselves is beyond me, until I contacted April Enniss (Corporate Director of Campus Operations). First off she not only saved me from dropping out but she made me feel like a human and not just a tax write off. She went above and beyond to help me with my financial obligations towards the school because she wanted to not only make sure but also wanted to see me graduate. She understood my situation as a single mother and saw how hard I worked in this program that she herself wouldn't take the situation at hand lightly. She is the real MVP. When everyone told me no or turned a blind eye or was unprofessional, she did the complete opposite and that's what it is about, finding solutions and not just giving straight NO's until all resources have been exhausted. I am so grateful for her and what she did for me and she really made me still believe that there are people out here that actually take pride in their jobs. read more

So far I am working on the admission process (via - admissions, financial aide and accounting). Ever since day one of the admission process, I have been very active in submitting anything necessary to be officially accepted as a student for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography. I was very thorough with my inquires about what is needed to be submitted on my end. Every time I submit what's needed, I have had to contact that specific advisor for a specific department that has asked me to submit necessary information. I end up calling the advisors majority of the time to get a status update and also of course to move the process faster. I still have no idea if I have a chance to get in the DMS program. They haven't let me know yet if they actually have any seats available for any of the start dates. I am doing all this work, but they are unsure if I will be accepted. On top of that, in the process of paying the registration fee, the payment showed a ridiculous amount versus what I was suppose to pay. I had to call the accounting to make sure that I was going too pay the amount actually needed. They ended up just taking my card information, and I was able to pay the actual registration fee. The point of this is that, it showed an amount that should have been seen ahead of time. Couple weeks passed and I am still don't know if I will get a chance for acceptance in the DMS program and I have not completed the admission process. This has left me a really bad taste with the school and I am not even officially a student yet. read more

I was a student for the LA campus but during my last term for the VN program, COVID-19 had happened and we quickly transitioned over to virtual classes. This is where I met the professors Ms. crystal, Mr. Erick and Mr. Dave. The weekends, our small class joined Ontario's online class and that's how we got through our last term. For the last day of clinicals, i made a trip to the Ontario campus. I like the indoor patio that it has and it is surrounded by some restaurants. It was a great experience overall and these professors were supportive and tried very hard to make the weekends less boring and more instructional despite being behind screens. I do recommend the school. I liked using the Vsim program as well. read more

School looks very clean, spacious, organized. Parking a bit difficult as it gets packed fast. I am not a student but came here for an ultrasound appointment. Very friendly staff and students! If you are preggo and want an ultrasound done just for your own interest (b/w or 3D), you may call them and schedule for free! After all, the students need to learn, teachers need to teach, and mothers to be need to see their baby out of impatient curiousity!!! Wish i knew about this earlier on in the pregnancy. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON SMITH CHASON SCHOOL OF NURSING. School is extremely unprofessional, teachers would constantly fight with each other in front of students, student support is non existent, the "lab" is a laughable, sad excuse for clinical training. I withdrew from the program after completing month 2/3 for the term, yet they're claiming I was terminated. On March 3rd, 2023 I sent an email to Allyson French and Trina Aguilar stating I was WITHDRAWING from the program and will no longer be attending, and in Allyson's response she stated " Thank you for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that you are CONSIDERING withdrawing from the program at this time." Key word being considering, but that's how they make their money! My friend is going through the same issue, on their Student Account Ledger is states her last day was 3/24/2023 when she withdrew from the program 2/24/2023, almost a month prior. Now, they're saying I owe them tuition for the month of March and if I don't pay they're going to send it to a collections agency. Please, I cannot stress this enough, do not waste your time, money, or effort on this sad excuse of a "college". read more

FYI this school in 2021 had a 69% pass rate on NCLEX. I graduated two years ago from the VN program, I've took my boards 6 times already with no help from this school. The NCLEX advisor is NO HELP. Every meeting we have, she always cancels on me last minute. I've only met with her twice on zoom. I wish I never went to this school & looked up the pass rates before. Now, I'm going to my local community college for my RN & they have a 99% pass rate. I can't keep wasting time trying to pass my Lvn boards especially with no help from this school! This school is very inconsiderate of your personal emergencies. They change up the syllabus after you miss less than 4 days due to an emergency. Apparently they live up their own ass and all they want is your money. Stuck up ass school. They need to improve communication skills and people skills. Currently i am studying here to become a MRI Tech. So far i have only taken the Intro class and just started the MRI Physics class yesterday. So far i have enjoyed my time here learning and making new friends. This school is very clean and very organized. The school does share the building space with a couple other companies and another school, but you can tell which it is. The staff is friendly and the professors are awesome. I came here to get a free B&W ultrasound. Everyone was very friendly and the staff is very professional. The school may be difficult to find at first, but they are located next to El Torito, The actual ultrasound entrance may be hard to find as well, because they don't have any signs pointing to where to get your ultrasound and they have so many different entrances for different people (i.e. staff, student, volunteers etc.) Just walk in any office and ask them to point you to the right one. They also offer 3D ultrasounds for $40 for two sessions. I just had my first session and I am going in for my second 3D session next Tuesday. Was able to take home ultrasound pictures and get 10 minutes of viewing time. They let you bring as many people as you want (so long as they fit in the room) I highly recommend them for future Mommies. It's free, and they are very flexible with scheduling appointments. Came here 4 times during my wife's pregnancy. First time was to determine the gender of our baby because Kaiser couldn't do it and we were determined to find out that day. Second, third, and fourth times were to do 3D/4D ultrasounds. You can't beat that the regular ultrasounds are free. All you have to do is schedule in advance and they're pretty flexible with their times. Just be aware that it's free because students are getting practice time on their ultrasound machines with you, it's really no big deal. 3D/4D are $40 for 2 sessions, with a free printout of the ultrasound, but you don't get any fancy DVD with a video or anything you might get at the more expensive places. We had to go 3 times because the second time we went, we couldn't get a clear image. Extremely polite and professional staff, and a clean facility to boot. Highly recommended for expectant parents. read more

So when Jacqueline started working there I was excited! She goes above and beyond. I contacted this school because I was transferring from another private medical imaging school and everything they offered made it sound like they care about your education so it encouraged me to stick to this school. I did everything I was told by admissions and records. The person who helped me was Sergio and asked to turn in my unofficial and official transcripts which I did. I never once heard back from them I had to be calling them in order for them to give me answers when I finally spoke to someone she was very rude over the phone she kept cutting me off each sentence and sounded like she didn't even wanna be there she then proceeded to ask me to send her a description of my classes I took in my former imaging school and said that maybe the director of the program would accept the classes I took once again I had to play the waiting game she never once contacted me. That same afternoon I had spoken to Sergio again and still decided to attend this school so I was ready to start the registration process with them he said he was going to contact another department to email me my entrance exam I had to take before starting school, and never re I anything I had called the school and asked to speak to him again and no where to be found I kept getting told that my messages were going to be passed on to him but I guess they never did because I never got any sort of response. I'm glad I didn't choose this school I would've wasted my money yet again with this type of staff that show no interest in recruiting students or helping them. read more

This school is very incompetent. Accounting and financial aid have no idea what they are doing. I started last fall 2014 and they hired 3 different accounting personnel so far. When It comes to registering for your following classes no one has an idea what will you be taking next. It's ridiculous on how incompetent most of the staff in this school is.The educational part (lecture/lab) aren't too bad that only depends on what instructor you end up with. Would I recommend any one to this school? No, not at all!! All I can say for those who want to attend this school make sure u do research on this school and ask a lot of questions cause everyone will give you a different answer. I was a student here for 2 terms. I completed my Nursing Fundamentals portion of the LVN course and transferred to another private college when I got accepted into an ADN program in Las Vegas, Nevada. Firstly, if you are not a very good student that works well on your own with just printouts and basic information, then this may not be the school for you. I attended the evening classes while working a full time job and I averaged about 86 with minimal studying. We started out with 30, and when I left, there were about 22 students. (They either failed, or had another situation come up.) The school is located in a bit of a seedy area. The night classes on Tuesdays have music blasting from the El Torito next to it. The tuition is a bargain at around $28k for the LVN course. It is only 15 months to complete and the course outlines and uses the ATI reviewer the majority of the LVN program. The tests required to get in were very easy. And my plan was to complete the LVN course and take a bridge class after a year or two of working as an LVN. About the school: Admissions was a complete nightmare! The rep, Danny Bisuano was not aware of the reciprocity of the Nursing licenses, nor did he know what step in the enrollment process I was in. He also always forgot who I was when I called or saw him! By all means, a admissions rep should of already created a rapport with his enrolled candidate, wouldn't you think? Some of the instructors are very brash and ill spoken, a few are of another country and needed alot of clarification while in lecture. There was only a couple of very good instructors, like Mr. Dua, that were excellent at lecture and lab. As my classmates complained, I cherished these instructors, as they were filled with so much knowledge. The clinical sites were so so, the staff of the Nursing department was always kind to me. The Campus Director, Mr. Britton was wonderful as well as Dr. Hany, the Nursing Director. The transition was a bit rocky, because the transcripts given to me were not accepted into my new school, the course description was not clear and the Nursing department was somewhat unorganized. The transcript was not accepted and I could not transfer my credits into my current Nursing program. I am rating this school 1 star. Only because of the materials given to me and the few staff that helped me and knew what they were doing. I have since heard from the Nursing department and the registrar in regards to my non-transferrable Nursing Fundamentals and Anatomy and Physiology classes. All they had to do was reword the course description and state my clinical hours. It was a waste of $...by all means, if you don't mind the seedy classmates and sub par instructors, and all you want is your LVN degree for a bargain with minimal instruction, then expect what you pay for. read more

This school has been the best. I did the Echo Program as we'll as my cousin. We've both had a great experience here. The program I did was weekends (21 months) which they offer a weekday class(18 months) everyone on the campus is great to work with. They are very understanding and they WILL listen to all of your concerns. If something about the school was upsetting me I let the right people know and it was fixed. They make an effort to improve your education. As for teachers: Dr. Bhaa is the best to learn from! He is such a great instructor. He will push you and make you learn what your supposed to know. Harland is extremely informational and will go the extra mile to help you out. Lab Teachers: Michael Lee is AMAZING!!!!!(echo tech) he makes you do so much more than most lab teachers and he wants perfection. You can complain all you want but he will make you the best Echo Tech. Der'l Smith will also be there to help you! If you need him to explain something bc you don't understand he will help you. He's a great scanner. I also want to mention Mark Galliano, he's the director and he will make things happen. I had to unfortunately file a complaint but it was handled properly. I had major schedule changes due to my work schedule and he was great and worked with me to get what I need. He was awesome. For the most part machines are good, could be better quality but hey do have lots of machines, open scan time, come in whenever you want. As far as certifications... You can get your license no problem. The LAST DAY of your extern send in your transcripts. Once your done you automatically qualify for the CCI License. (Which you can get hired with) Other license are: SPI (physics, you can get during school) After a year of work then you can take the ARDMS for Echo. (Only test requires year of work) CRAT(EKG Tech) (Keep in mind, if you pass CCI right after extern you can get a job. Don't let people tell you otherwise. They are misinformed) Overall the school is good. At times disorganized but Every place needs a little work here and there but worth the education. read more
