I was very disappointed. I read the reviews and thought that Folsom House Cleaning would be the one I wanted to do business with. Victor came out to the house within two days of my request, gave us a quote on the spot which we accepted. I asked when he could start working and he said that he didn't have his calendar with him He promised that he would call that afternoon and schedule us. He had to decide on the best day to clean our house. Two days later I emailed him, no response back on the third day I decided I would just give him a call and he said that he was working on the schedule and would get back to me. He again promised he would call back when he decided on the best day to clean my house. It's been about 3 weeks now and I suspect that call will never come. What I can't understand is why he would put a special on yelp " $250 for $280 Deal at Folsom Cleaning Service". Who in their right mind would pay $250.00 for a deal of $30.00 off and maybe not even get a call back or even be put on the schedule for the job. UPDATE: Victor called. Since we wanted the house cleaned before Thanksgiving we couldn't wait forever. Prior to his call we hired another cleaning service to do a deep cleaning. I called and left a message to see if Victor wanted to set up an appointment for the every other week cleaning/ He never called back. I don't understand his way of doing business. read more

We have been using Folsom Cleaning service twice a month for a couple years now and are highly satisfied! Their rate is reasonable and the quality is exceptional. My Wife and I both work full time and with 2 little kids we were having trouble finding the time to properly keep the house clean. Victor's crew comes in while we are at work and does a great job even "non-supervised". We have never had an issue with them leaving the house un-secure or felt the need to watch over them to make sure they are doing the job we are paying for. We have a large house and sometimes rooms/bathrooms go untouched in the two weeks between cleanings. They notice this and have spent extra time to deep clean on the higher traffic areas many times without us even asking. Communication is good with Victor, there have been weeks we have asked and /or the crew has asked to juggle weeks due to vacations or special circumstances and they have been very accommodating. Hired to clean the bathrooms and carpet cleaning in the new house we purchased and they did a fantastic job. In the bathroom, all the mildew was scrubbed out and the whole place just sparkles. We first chose this company based on the Yelp reviews, but became very disappointed with them which is why I am writing this review as a forewarning to other potential customers. The first cleaning Folsom Cleaning did in our home was thorough, however, there was damage that they were clearly responsible for on our hardwood flooring. After bringing this to Victor's attention, they basically just hoped we would forget about it and the next 3 house cleanings were less and less satisfactory. There was no effort on their part to reconcile the floor damage that they had done. I finally communicated to Victor that we didn't want them back to clean our home for not only the floor incident, but for also inconsistent scheduling and the aforementioned shorter time spent cleaning (than agreed to) as well as the decreasing level of cleaning performance. I was hoping for the best when I called Folsom Cleaning Service based on the ratings I saw here, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. After setting up a time with Victor for a quote, he was a no show. He returned my call a couple of hours later and said he didn't know what happened. I decided to give him a second chance, so we set up another appointment. Though he did show up and later provided a quote, when I notified him that I was interested in starting service with them, he never responded. He later (at least a week) sent a text in response to my follow up, saying that he was trying to decide the best day to clean my house. This was the WORST experience I've ever had with any online purchase. I bought a gift certificate for my sister-in-law. When she tried to redeem the certificate, she was stalled, ignored and ultimately never contacted by the company to schedule a date. When I found out about it, I called them. They told me they would call me back, never asked for my name/phone number and hung up on me. This was a typical, "We've got your money so we don't give a darn about providing the service" situation. I was forced to make a claim through my credit card company to get my money back. Knowing what I do now, I wouldn't trust this "team" in my home for fear that they are bigger thieves than just scamming me for a gift certificate. The cleaning team locked my cat in the bedroom and left her there. We were out of town and the cat was locked in the bedroom for two days without food or water. As a result, the cat defecated on the bed and tore up the carpet around the door. Victor refused to take any responsibility for having locked the cat up in the room and did not offer any type of resolution whatsoever. read more
